It is comprised of cubes of sushi grade fish topped with an Asian-inspired sauce. It is sometimes served with rice. There was definitely tuna, salmon and yellowtail (I think) mixed with Unagi sauce (sugar, soy sauce, and sake). It was served with lots of avocado. If you like sushi or sashimi, I think this will be up your alley. Salt and pepper calamari. Fried calamari wok tossed with green peppers and onions served with some bottled sweet and sour sauce. I could actually taste the salt and pepper on the battered calamari rings. No tentacles in this dish, which, for me, is a bit of a downer. There's something satisfying about crunching into little legs/arms but that's just me. What also stood out was the size of the rings...all average ring size and the cook on them was just right, crunchy outside yet tender inside. You ever go to a place where the calamari rings were gigantic...like the squid did battle with Godzilla in a previous life? No bueno. Sushi sampler - It was a Tuesday...should have paid attention to Anthony Bourdain and waited until Thurs-Sat to get fresh fish. All in all, it's a good place, with warm proprietors, and friendly service. I'm willing to exchange my hard earned money for a meal here.

Even though we had only ordered 2 plates of salmon sashimi. AND THEN they had the audacity to offer 10% off. They also kept making excuses as to why they can't serve us sashimi. They mentioned that we should've called in a reservation ahead of time so they would have enough stock. It seemed that they kept pushing responsibility on us, the customers. Soup and egg roll were both solid renditions but nothing special. The best thing about the food was the vegetables, which were fresh, and the price: $8 for a lunch combo in a day when most places now top $10. Service was friendly and efficient; looks like a family operation with the high school daughter in school uniform serving during break.
