Really, you HAVE to try Key Lime Pie French toast! Fantastic! Most memorable meal of our Key West visit.

This place has a wonderful menu with just the right amount of Mediterranean influence. We went twice in a one-week visit. The stuffed eggplant in pomegranate reduction -could have lived on that alone for days. Steak was wonderful. Fish dishes were better than most other places we tried. Prices good -service excellent -bread too good to be real. The caprese salad was one of the best we ever had. read more

We had a lovely dinner last night! My wife ordered oysters on half shell, retail snapper with shrimp in a lemon caper sauce. For vegetarian I had the artichoke, red pepper strips and smoked cheese to start followed by the mushroom gnocchi- very tasty! The desserts were fabulous... Lavender infused crime brûlée with berries ... Pecan tart with cardamom ice cream! Yum. Our B&B gave us a coupon for a free glass of wine. read more

Excellent service and super-delicious food. You MUST try the French Dip sandwich. It's the best sandwich I've ever tasted. WOW!

We had a very nice meal here on a Saturday night. Their infused olive oil served with warm bread was very tasty. The stuffed dates were delicious and my duck confit was tender, served with roasted brussels sprouts. My husband had the snapper and enjoyed it. I loved my dessert which was a lovely pecan tart with a cardamom ice cream. This place had my favorite dinner in a 4 night stay in Key West. read more

A jewel in Key West! Another of those places low key from outside but fantastic food and service. We had dinner outside as the temperature was really nice (November!). Service was impeccable and the food really good. I had the fish of the day - cobia (white dense fish) and it was truly amazing. Desserts were as good. Less expensive than my other favorite on the island (Seven fish). Highly recommended. Enjoy! read more

Azur was just what my husband and I were looking for when we were seeking a low-key, nice dining experience for just the two of us. The service was great and efficient; the server brought our appetizers out asap when we told him we were starving and even fixed our wobbly table. I had the hummus plate and goat cheese arugula gnocchi and my husband had the clam/chorizo starter and gnocchi and beef. It was a great diversion from the blandness of Duval Street food. Service is impeccable, the Grouper special was the BEST seafood I have ever had. This is a fabulous experience, deserts too.

Just right! We weren't that hungry yet wanted something yummy. Menu was enticing and we were sorry we weren't hungrier as every special sounded great as did the rest of the menu. We split a charred warm octopus appetizer that had Zahtar spice. Delicious, tender meat with enough crunch on outside. Highly recommend. I had a gnocchi with asparagus and meaty porcini - so good. Gnocchi pillow soft, asparagus perfectly with bite and porcini fresh and flavorful. Loved every morsel. My husband had the gnocchi with beef bolognese and it was also delicious. They had lovely wine choices by the glass that went very well with the menu. Service was attentive and the food magnificent. The heat warmers a first for us and a nice visual and temperature touch. read more

Nice menu for a change of pace from the standard Florida fare. Servers have a good sense of humor. Food was good, but honestly the only thing that was Great was the gnocchi. The walnut eggplant and artichokes were eh. The fish and risotto was ok, but a bit bland. The best thing is the location. It sits on a nice residential street which gives you the chance to see some of the pretty key west houses. read more

Azur is a quant little spot that offers a quite comfortable atmosphere away from the usual noise and crowds of Key West. The food was served relatively quickly though the service was only mediocre. We both enjoyed the meal. read more

I wish I could give azur more than 5 stars after the fantastic brunch we had today. My husband and I brought our 1 and 3 year old and we had probably the best brunch meal ever. We got the kids a fruit, yogurt and granola plate and a pastry basket to share and we all loved it. The yogurt had caramel in it and the kids could not get enough. The fruit was very fresh and cut into perfect bite-size pieces. The granola with dates and the pastries were delicious. I ordered the hash and eggs and it was fabulous!! Perfectly poached eggs with the best hollandaise I've ever had and potatoes and short rib hash. My husband got the deconstructed carbonara. Creamy pasta with pancetta and poached eggs. Yum! We ended up trading plates halfway through because both dishes were so delicious. Oh and they had 2 for 1 mimosas! I am now trying to figure out how we can get back to azur before we have to leave key west to go back to San Diego! read more

Our charter fishing guide recommended that we take the fish we caught to Azur, as he said that he was friends with the owner/chef (I think most of the restaurants in Key West will cook your fish for you, for a fee, of course). So I called and mentioned our guide's name and that we had some wahoo that we would like to have prepared for us, and they were happy to do so. Chef Mike prepared it three different ways for us including carpaccio, which was very thinly sliced and excellent. He also prepared the wahoo in two different pan seared dishes which were bursting with flavors. Great presentation. We also had a little mahi mahi that he fried for us, even though they have nothing fried on the menu (we took it with us and made sandwiches for lunch the next day). My gf had the pink shrimp appetizer which she loved. The flourless chocolate cake for desert was excellent as well. Service was very good, and location was great...not crowded with tourists. At my age, service is everything. I have been to Azure four separate times and have tried a meal at all times of the day. You can't say I didn't try. I want locals to succeed. Each and every time, the staff was extremely disappointing. They are impatient, rude, slow, and uninformed. I have sent back fishy smelling fish, cold soups, warm wines, and incomplete meals that have taken too much time coming from the kitchen. As a vegan, I asked for modifications to a meal. The restaurant was almost empty. The waiter came back to tell me the chef didn't have time to make changes, he was too busy. At another high end eating establishment on the island, the chef came to the table and told me how excited he was to cook for me. Big difference in attitude. The latest debacle was brunch with two family members who are medically gluten free. Meals had to be sent back due to incorrect ingredients. The waiter had forgotten to tell the kitchen. He apologized, but it could have been a disaster. Needless to say, we had a long wait for a new meal. I am shocked to read all of the five star reviews. I will never go back, and as a full time local in Key West, I will not recommend Azure to anyone. There are so many other restaurants who act like they want your business and then follow through to make you feel welcomed. Your Sunday Brunch hostess almost scared us away! food was delicious, we shared the artichoke, roasted red pepper and manchego starter. i had the frisse salad with dates and gorgonzola (the honey herb dressing was amazing) and the porcini mushroom, swiss chard and pecorino gnocchi. my husband loved his braised beef rib gnocchi. all in all we thought the food was fantastic. the service on the other hand, was off. our waiter was an odd duck, explaining to me what pelligrino is, unable to give a description of the size of the 1/2 portion of gnocchi and instead launching into some tangent about how he never likes to judge what will fill another person up. wha?? i found myself not wanting him to come to our table for fear of yet another awkward interaction. also, they sat us outside which we believe ended up being the best seat in the house under the heat lamp, but it seemed they kept sending out other 'less refined' folks to join us. was it the jeans we were wearing? the lack of reservations? oddly enough we saw three different tables get seated outside with us, take a look at the menus and then pack up and leave. not sure this place has quite figured it out yet, but i can only say good things about the food. read more
