Carne Asada Salad
Kelsi H.

I love when I give a place another chance and it completely changes my mind!! I returned to B&B tonight in hopes that the service is better and the food was just as good if not better, and I was blown away. We had the best waiter, Aidan (Aiden?), that was very attentive and polite. We tried a few new dishes for us. We started with the fried Brussel sprouts. YUM! We devoured this. I ordered the meatloaf patty melt sandwich and the pimento bacon Mac n cheese. That sandwich. WAY surpassed my expectations and even though I live about 30 minutes away, I will be returning just for that. As a Mac n cheese connoisseur I also really enjoyed that dish. I love a creamy Mac and it was exactly that! We also got the key lime pie bars and we loved those too. Overall, GREAT second experience at B&B. Can't wait to come back and try some other things on the menu!

Chicken Tender Entree

THIS WAS A TAKEOUT EXPERIENCE We have eaten here through the years from original owners to now. We have had ok experiences in the past but never been wowed except by the originals. This meal was disappointing and not just bc it was takeout. chicken tenders and fries: the chicken was shriveled and black. Really really gross and tasted horrible Jumbo pretzel: never bad. Always worth it Fried Brussels: new recipe as of this week. It's a very sharp, vinegar flavor now. I am not a fan of this new recipe. They need less vinegar and maybe some honey and some heat. The cook on the Brussels was very good, just the seasoning was off carne salad: salad was much smaller than a $19 salad should be. I honestly thought we were given a side salad We keep giving just one more chance and walking away disappointed. If there was any way the original owners could take back over the place would crush everything around

This place is truly amazing and has that trendy, big city sort of set up, yet approachable. So great to have access to such a great place without having to be downtown. High quality food and craft drinks all around. Our server Chloe was on point too with friendly and well timed service. Live music on the patio, which had a really great set up. This place seems to have a lot of flexibility with having a nicer dining set up than just a neighborhood bar, as well as a more sport bar and patio area, but it all fits together nicely. Top to bottom perfect place! Will be a go-to whenever I'm back in this area for sure!

Update - 03/26/22. It's been about a year since I've been here so I thought a quick update was in order. Another 5 Star experience from the servers to the food and cocktails. Everything was amazing. The appetizers, Diablo Shrimp was delicious and disappeared in minutes! And the bacon onion dip on the soft crunchy bread melted in you mouth. I tried the new menu item called the Cali wrap and it was fabulous. The Ruben and big chef salad were top notch. And the Grouper Tacos were the best anywhere. Oh and the cocktails were like,, oh try mine it's delicious, no try mine it's so good, wait you have try this one too!! Lol A well managed establishment from top to bottom.

I love this place! You can sit in a cute restaurant area or in a live-music, hopping bar area. Or, you can sit in the large patio area with strung lights and lawn games. I kinda want the hat too - for sale front of house. The place has a sort of warm, industrial-farmhouse feel. I want to try everything but, so far, can tell you the goat cheese flatbread is tasty - crunchy and sweet. The house-made meatloaf patty melt is insanely good and truly unique. I had a nice cider too. The service was attentive without being obnoxious. We'll definitely be back, especially when the warmer temps allow a fun outdoor experience with some other couples.

Cup of chili

Excellent service and great food. Meatloaf with mushroom gravy is awesome. Emily (bartender) made an incredible Espresso martini and the cup o chili is huge.

No one in town charges more for a beer than this place. For example, I enjoy local IPAs and Creature Comforts (Athens) is everywhere. I can go to several other stops in town and pay less for a 16 oz can or pour of this beer. Compared to another decent stop down the street, three roses is almost 30% more. My wife says one of the wines she likes is a little less than other stops, so that's good. But other drink prices tend to be on the high side as well, but most in town have higher liquor prices. That adds up if you like to frequent a place. Hence, we stopped frequenting. Overall, I like the decor and as noted, the food is decent. The upstairs is better than the downstairs but I'm glad they have the downstairs for some occasion when they could get busy. As for the Tavern / entertainment element, I've never seen any live music but they have several TVs. Not sure this would be my top choice to watch a game but it would work in a pinch if the other places were too busy or noisy.

I sat on the main level which had mostly booths (for 4 & 2 persons), half booths, bar seats, and a few tables. The interior was classy, but the ambiance was not. The mood was ruined by whiny acoustic music, probably picked by the staff and not for the customers. I can normally tune it out, but the uncharacteristic F*bombs coming from the speakers were a mood killer. And while waiting for my meal I heard the following exchange from the kitchen: "Your late!" "Are you going to fire me? Please send me home!" The hostile attitudes in the kitchen was unfortunately reflected in the meal. I ordered the fish and chips, and the fries were nicely cooked. The crust on the fish also looked good. But the fish inside was watery and unpleasant. It was also topped with a mass of cilantro sprigs, which did not pair with the flavors. I managed to scrape them all off. The fish was served with vinegar, ketchup, and (missing) tartar sauce. The friendly and attentive waitress was quick to correct the missing sauce, although it did take awhile. My meal also came with a side of slaw that would have been outstanding if the kitchen hadn't made a misstep of loading it with too much salt. The other seasonings in the slaw were excellent and unique and the addition of red onions was great, but sadly ruined by the saltiness. At the end of my meal I visited their modern and stylish restrooms. I'd arrived just after 5PM and on this weekday there were only a few patrons. So the stylish furnishing of the restroom were marred by the mess I encountered in there. Based on the number of employees compared to patrons, there wasn't an excuse for not cleaning that bathroom. I've seen truckstop restrooms that weren't that nasty.

I've owned a restaurant in downtown Roswell I called this place out years ago for switching meat purveyors on the hanger steak and serving a lower grade meat. You know what happened? It got fixed. I came here years ago and had a subpar experience with a bartender who was too post counting her tips to serve me and my date on a Friday. You know what happened? They changed management. This place is what defines top tier. This place is what it means to deliver consistency in the name of public service. I had eaten here 237 times in a single year. I'm telling you: the menu is not driven by margin. It's driven by experience. I've eaten it all. You'll find a packed bar most nights because the regulars love this place. You'll discover bartenders remembering your drinks, servers remembering how you want your steak cooked, and hostesses knowing you prefer the bar. This is a 5 star experience with 3.5 star prices. It's elite in that regard, a date night spot or solo hangout that will never let you down. If Salt ever leaves Woodstock, may the bedrock beneath it burn.

We weren't overly hungry, so we ordered the Louisiana Egg-rolls to start, along with our beers. Thought it would taste a little more spicy like Cajun food, but delicious nonetheless. We shared the Southern burger - lettuce, pickles, candied bacon & pimento cheese. Yum!! They were nice enough to split our order on two plates beforehand. Food was very good & we enjoyed hearing the live music coming from nearby. Service was a little slow, but server was very nice. Can't go wrong eating here!!

First off, I love the history of this building... 1800s, supposedly the jail at some point long ago. You can just feel the history and imagine what took place in there as you sit and wait for your meal. The staff are all fun and attentive, and our server -- who was also tending bar that day -- was amazing! We were there early enough for the half priced apps, and weren't hungry enough for a full meal. I ordered a side salad with ranch, and we split the smoked nachos. When they came out, it was a huge portion and enough for both my wife and I. The only drawback is that they didn't have any sour cream that we could add to the nachos... It may seem trivial, but I've never needed anyplace that didn't have sour cream for the nachos. Because of that, I will give this a 4.75 stars. We will definitely be back!

My prompt to my gpt this morning included "family owned, cozy place, food that hugs you like a grandma after a long time away, etc" this is one of the best places I've been in USA so far. I also woke up idealizing to only try new things and no repeats but I've already ordered a second drink haha I absolutely don't want to leave. As soon as you walk in they greet you and help you out, then the bartender (I came by myself so I sat on the bar) approached me with the most warmth and helped me getting something according to her experience and taste but considering my taste and preferences. The food came (quick for how busy it is 12 min) The food tastes just like a grandmas food that she's been working the entire day on it. I can't wait to be back here. Also I didn't have anything the entire day and couldn't finish my plate because the amount of food is way more than decent. I wasn't especially hungry but Husband was and it had been a minute since we had burgers. I said "As long as they have the sprouts..." IYKYK. The girl at the counter was adorable and super nice, she confirmed they did have sprouts so I just got that and a Coke. My husband got a cinnamon apple whiskey sour, the mushroom Swiss burger and onion rings. The side patio had heaters going and it was a really pleasant experience out there now that the weather has cooled down. But y'all... Por que no gusto? I was so happy to see that little paper boat full of Brussels sprouts and they were so crispy. But I think I've said all along that "chipotle ranch" feels like a misnomer because I sense neither. (Husband confirms.) Yet they were SO good the first few times I had them, whatever they're dusted in. I stopped to think maybe my preferences have just changed that significantly in the past year or so. I absolutely did not taste Husband's drink because brown likka is diabolical. But he was a fan! He had me try an onion ring and it was just okay as well, unfortunately. They were definitely thin & crispy but I like a LITTLE somethin' to my food. I was thinking I must have the 'Rona until I tasted his burger. So they CAN still cook good burgers, okay? And that's good because...it's Community Burger. I know we don't need a flavor cage match at every meal, but I honestly think they could probably do more with salt/pepper/garlic. I cannot appreciate how tough the services industries have it right now, and I am rooting for Community Burger to succeed. I hope they can pivot and makes Sides the second tastiest section of their menu. Because...it's Community Burger...
