This was the best experience I've had with car repairs. I did a lot of nervous back and forth about how to handle my car when the catalytic converter got stolen and was apprehensive about coming here. They helped me figure out what it would cost so I knew whether to have my insurance pay or not. After a week, I had some weird electrical problems come up and didn't know what to think. I was hesitant to bring it back to them but it ended up being unrelated to their repairs. Nikki reassured me on the phone, and once again helped me make the right decision financially without being able to see the future to know what the problem was. I ended up saving hundreds over what anyone else would've charged. I paid $260 even with diagnosis AND installation for a new 12v battery for a prius which is an amazing deal (the battery type and installation process are very different than a regular car). I called Napa, O'reilly, Pepboys, Autozone, Advance and I couldn't have even PICKED UP THE BATTERY for that price, let alone have pros put it in, and verify that was the problem. Only ONE of those places would even offer to install in a prius because of the extra steps, and they wanted me to pay their labor to do it. B&M confirmed the only problem was the battery, completed my repairs within hours on very short notice, right before easter weekend, despite the fact that their planned supplier for the battery was out. They got one delivered direct from Toyota same-day, all behind the scenes, and still honored the original estimate! They even washed my car and made it look nicer inside and out than when I brought it in, both times. My gas mileage is up to an all-time high and I've got total peace of mind. Just one more thing about Nikki - I'm so used to mechanics/shops having someone answer the phones who can't answer any questions, and then getting transferred to technicians who either don't pick up (or are clearly annoyed to have their work interrupted by phone calls. Nikki not only had amazing people skills but she knows way more about cars than me, she's super sharp and was fully versed on my repairs. She knew everything that they did and why - I felt like I was talking to the person who did the work, and just overall really pleasant to deal with. I really recommend this place. read more

He is with Falcon Insurance (FALCON INSURANCE is the No: 1 crappy insurance to deal with, Plz never ever plan to take Falcon Insurance) and this body shop is the best option they gave me to repair my car. Had my car repaired there years ago and recently the clear coat started to peel off. I recalled that B&M offered a lifetime paint protection as long as you were the original owner. Went to their shop and when I told them the date of the accident, they had the look of a deer staring into headlights. Nonetheless they took down my information and said they would look up the insurance claim number (which I provided from my insurance) and give me a call back. I have been bringing my cars here since 2000. They do a beautiful job on body work and paint. They fixed my brother's car quite few times too. The owner Bogdan/Bob/ is a very honest guy. He's a big reason why I keep coming back. I remember about 10 years ago I was driving and my car stopped 12 miles from my house. Bogdan sent one of his towing guys Jimmy /i don't think he is there anymore/ to bring the car to the shop. Hour later i got a call to come get the car. Turns out my fuel gauge was broken and I simply ran out of gas. Embarrassing. Bob didn't charge me anything for the tow. I think that shows how much he values repeat costumers. Took my car after a hit and run, target day was a tuesday,I called on Monday they said it would be ready Tuesday evening. When I called Tuesday (after not receiving a call), they told me it would be ready until Thursday. They call me Thursday, to come for it Friday evening. When I get my car back there are parts missing on my car, my seats are filthy, theres chipped paint, and the tint on my window is all scratched ‍ so had to take it back to get all that fixed, at least my rental was paid for. In the picture,(taken the day I picked it up) it shows the chipped paint they painted, awesome huh? Mind you the day I dropped off my car two of the receptionist were arguing and didn't care to stop even though I was in there, not professional at all. read more

We came here just to get some scratches on the car bumper fixed. The staff was unacceptably rude to us. The staff were extremely aggressive and yelled at us, and nearly threatened us to pay $600 to get the car bumper completely repaired. There is no need to use intimidation tactics in an attempt to force potential customers into paying beyond what is reasonable. We just merely wanted the scratches to be painted over. This behavior was absolutely horrendous. They were also inflexible with days in which the car can be serviced - which required two consecutive business days! How can this accommodate anybody's work schedule?! Will not recommend this place for anyone to get their car repaired, unless if anyone would like to be humiliated, yelled at and potentially swindled. read more

Awesome staff but a bit forgetful. I wanted them to rush the repairs so I could get my car before an overseas trip and they made it happen and they did a great job. One of the parts they were supposed to replace ended up getting shoved under the drivers seat and they forgot about it. The part was cosmetic and they were able to get it on quickly when I brought it back in. I would come back here for future repairs. read more

My car was crashed into while parked just down the street from B & M. I had no idea what to expect as I'd never needed body work before. There turned out to be $23,000 in damage to my 6 month old Acura TL. Geico didn't replace the vehicle so these guys had to fix it. It took several weeks. and my insurance only gave 30 days of rental but I had to drive for my job. Bob, the owner, understood my problem and was nice enough to loan me a car that they have for such occassions. I wouldn't go so far as call it a courtesy vehicle as it wasn't much, but it saved me a lot of money. Anyway, the back 1/3 of the car was replaced and obviously there was frame damage. They did a very nice job squaring it up. I am not so naive to think that in doing so much work everything will be perfect in the end but they did an excellent job. A couple minor things needed a quick 10 minute fix that I stumbled across over the next few weeks. They were very accomodating and did whatever required to make it right. It is now 4 years later and I still have the car. I got new tires yesterday and saw that my old tires are wearing thin on the inside. I am bringing it back to B & M tomorrow for an adjustment that I'm sure will be provided complimentary as all their repairs have a 5 year warranty. To update...I took my car in for an alignment and they did not say a word regarding any type of payment. They showed me a computerized results of the alignment before and after their alignment. Then gave me the keys and said thanks. Not a word was said about money or any type of compensation for their time. They obviously stand behind their work. read more

We had a pretty bad accident on a 2015 black Corvette Stingray. The quarter panel, door shell, hood and bumper were badly damaged. The front wheel and associated suspension were damaged. When the tow truck came, we had planned on just taking it to the dealership where we bought it assuming they would know the car the best. Instead the tow truck driver referred us to B&M. Before releasing the vehicle I checked out Yelp, then called them up to actually talk to them and sell me on their service. The lady who I talked to gave me a good description of the company, and we decided to give it a try. When we dropped the car off, they told us it would take 2.5 - 3 weeks to repair. They started working on it the next business day, and the car was ready on the day promised, exactly on their schedule. When we came to pick it up, we were very worried on how well the new black paint would match up to the older paint. After inspecting the car, we were very satisfied. They had buffed out the entire car, and it all matched well. But the interior was clean enough to eat off of. I don't think the car was so clean inside even when we picked it up new from the dealership! After a week, of driving, the suspension feels good, no problem. Very polite and friendly people, and even gave be a deal on the deductible when I picked up the vehicle. Well done! read more

Don't do it! If you get in an accident, never fall prey to the preditor tow company...and don't let them take you to B & M autobody. You will regret it. Obsurdly underbid the job. Extraordinarily sloppy and shoddy work. I had to go back several times and still, issues were left unresolved. Update--doors not fully painted, parts not replaced, car not properly reassembled, missing car mats, miscellaneous belongings of someone else in the trunk. Makes me wonder about how they straightened the frame. I had to bring it back four times and they wouldn't give me documentation for the work they did after the first visit. Shop around. read more

I've had a couple of really good experiences with this body shop. I chose it mainly because I lived right down the street from them and it worked out really well. I took my Rav 4 in twice for some body damage and both times my contact in the office was really helpful and the work looked good to me. NEVER AGAIN . I've taken my vehicle to this place in the past on an insurance claim no problem. Recently I took my vehicle there again for a minor accident that I had over the winter that called my back window to leak water inside my trunk. Before the person came out to look at my car I was asked several times what insurance company was I with. The man came out looked at my car and flat out turned me down when I told him I was paying cash. Thanks to the surrounding body shop that weren't built on insurance claims $275 problem fixed. Horrible, horrible service. They delayed for 1 week because I didn't call them. They told me twice that "the car will be done tomorrow" but it was not. In total, their delays cost me about $115. Because of their delays, I am out of town and unable to pick up the car, so they are charging me a storage fee. If you depend on your car, don't trust them with it because they won't do what they say they will when they say they will do it. Great quality of work done and super excellent staff and very accommodating to my situation

My 2008 hyundai was parked and hit by a drunk driver then towed to B&M auto. The time to fix was initially quoted as 2 weeks however took more than a month. This is not my primary complaint. What I did not appreciate was a charge of $200 hundred dollars for "betterment" that I did not approve. They put a new bumper on my car which was not part of the accident and would not put the old one back on when I told them I did not want to pay for it. I felt the extra $200 fee I had to pay to get my car back should not have been applied unless I approved it. State farm, my insurance company could not understand why I was charged this fee. I was told my new car battery (purchased 6 months ago) was also drained and they expected me to pay for. I told them I would not and have not had any issues with my car starting. read more

I was refered by a friend to B & M and even though they are not a direct repair shop for Allstate I was still able to have the repairs done by them and they handled everything with Allstate for me. I was the victim of vandalism and came into to get some body work on my car. After picking my vehicle up, I noticed the alignment was off. They closed so I brought it in the next day only to be told that they are not the cause of the alignment issue. When expressing my displeasure in the quality of their work, the mechanic told me, "Don't get loud with me sir! I am not the type of man you want to be getting loud with." He then stared at me in an aggressive manner and turned on his "phony customer service switch" in his attempt to de-escalate a situation that aroused from his unprofessional. After asking me to bring my car in to assist in correcting an issue they cause, I left having to now contact my insurance company for the problem they are refusing to take accountability for! If you ever want to get scammed or have your car end up worse than it was prior to bringing it in to this place, please do so with caution. This place needs to be shut down and ran out of town for scamming their customers and playing the old school mechanic trick - "while checking your oil we found something wrong with your suspension that will cost ........." read more

I recently had my Chrysler 300 "repaired " by this collision center. Upon seeing my vehicle when I picked it up and listening to it carefully while letting it run for a little while, I thought that it was fine. On top of that, I was reassured that I had a lifetime warranty on the repairs that were done to my vehicle. What brought me to this particular facility was a car accident. My car was damaged in the front to the tune of 5k, according to B&M. The responsible party's insurance covered my damage. Once B&M was paid, they wiped their hands from any follow up. A week after driving my vehicle, I started my car up with my remote starter to let it warm while getting ready for work. When I got in my vehicle, I noticed the engine light was on. I have never seen that light before, ever. Please keep in mind that my car was damaged in the front where the engine is. I proceeded to drive to work, and placed a call to them when I arrived to inform them of my concerns. I was told to bring the car back so that they could take a look at it for me. All day I was concerned hoping that they would have the decency not to dismiss my concerns and just tell me it was not their responsibility. Boy was I wrong!!! As soon as I got there, all of the smiles and greetings I received during my initial encounter were long gone. A very rude and arrogant guy grabbed my keys and without saying a word to me got in my car and pulled it to the back. Less than 10 minutes later he walked in, with a sheet of paper, went to the copy machine. Walked over to me and handed me this paper and said, "You need to take your car to the Chrysler dealership and get it fixed". No explanation. I stated that I had never had a problem with my car before and that I suspected that this was in relation to the accident. He simply said no and walked out of the area. It was rude and embarrassing to say the least. I let them know that I would follow up with this but next time I would have my support with me, my husband! The bottom line is, I would not even spend my time writing this for you to read if I felt that it was not warranted. Please do your research. Try your best to make sure that the followup service is just as good as the initial service you receive. B&M really disappointed me!!!!!! read more

They call it processing charge, they didn't do anything , the towing company they use D&G towing also are crooks, look at all the reviews and u never use it. Stay away from this company!!!!! I haven't even gotten my car fixed yet.... Here was my day today. Wow so my day was hell but B&M made it less painful. The tow truck showed up while I was on the phone with the insurance company. I didn't call anyone. This guy gave me his card and ask if I was just hit and the over driver took off. Yes that's me! I have never had such service in my life! In the city limits of Chicago I had someone patiently wait while I finished my phone call and tow me to where the cops were and the found and arrest the guy that hit me. He waited with me and my dog for 2 hours! Took me to B&M and gave my dog some water! The office was clean and I knew right away I was in good hands. The woman at the front desk was genial and respectful. We called the other drivers insurance company and took care of the paperwork. I didn't have a way home. The owners son Micheal, gave me a ride home. What a wonderful kid! So helpful and made this experience for me and my dog easy and almost enjoyable. He helped me unload my car and unload his truck to my home. Thank you so much Micheal. Your parents raised a good kid! This could have been so much worse. I am lucky that this happened to me here and now... with these people! Oh and a shout out to the fine Chicago police department! Wow. read more

My Honda Pilot was towed there for free after an accident and had never heard of them. I went the next day to do the paperwork and Yolanda and the whole team were friendly and efficient. I went to retrieve things from my vehicle and Peter in the shop knew my car right away and I could tell he knew what he was doing. There were some complications, but Peter always knew exactly what was happening when I called and I felt like he was always on top on things. When I got my vehicle back, it was as good as new despite some extensive damage. Strongly recommend them. read more

Feeling just a little annoyed....My 2012 car took a hard rear hit while parked a couple months ago. When the tow company came we had some confusion on the body shop name they were towing it to B & M I wanted it to go to B & L but got mixed up with the names being so similar and being woke up at 5am to inform you your car is on the sidewalk. When I realized the mistake I tried to get S.F. to pick up my car and take it to B & L but I got several convincing phone calls to leave the car at B & M because they were also a State Farm certified body shop so I agreed. They were on time with their work and everything looked good until I drove away. A few minutes into my drive I realized my radio wasn't working fine something minor took it back they fixed it after waiting an hour. A few days later I realized my heat or ac weren't working had to take it back again making me late for work. When I dropped it off I asked the receptionist to ask the mechanic to just do a general test on things so I wont have to come back she gave me an attitude but it was fine I understood some people just have bad days. Drove my car for two days then had someone flag me down to tell me my break lights aren't working. So here we go again taking it back for the 3rd time! I plan on calling State Farm and asking how they are certified because while all these things are minor I still feel I shouldn't have to continue to waste my time bringing it back it again and again! Shouldn't these things be checked and confirmed working before you tell the customer the car is ready? Hopefully this will be my last time taking it back in and for the future if I should be stuck in the this situation again I won't be taking my car to B & M. read more

While running an errand a fine fellow Chicagoan hit my driver side mirror knocking it clear off. Called my dealership and a few other shops.. all of which wanted over $500 to replace the mirror. I called and spoke with a guy named Matt at B&M he found the part for almost a 3rd of the cost of the other places and the labor and paint were a quarter of the cost. Not to mention the turn around time.. the part was there within a day, they painted it before I came in and I was out of there in 20 minutes. Service was above average and I feel like they were trying to put me in the best situation. I'd recommend asking for Matt as he made the experience painless. I would definitely go back for any work (hopefully I don't have to though!!) read more

I was involved in an accident the adjuster provided me with this body shop to get my repairs. I was a bit skeptical at first but this is where they assigned me to go. They took some pictures and sent me on my way. A few days later the adjuster stated I can get my car repaired but would have to go to B&M for the repairs. One of the gentlemen called me and schedule an appointment to drop the car off. I drop the car off on a Tuesday, I asked how many days will it take, he advised me no more than 5days. Well it's now 11 days later no phone call with any updates, I contact the office and Cassandra advises me it will be done in one more day someone will call me, the day has past no phone call. I call today and speak with Cassandra again and she advised me that they don't have to call me until they are ready. Very rude with her tone and very sarcastic, which was very unprofessional. I would not recommend this place especially if they staff is rude and they don't provide correct information. I am paying out of pocket expenses for the rental car due to them having the car longer than what they stated. read more

Got rear ended and had b and m did the repairs. When doing the repairs they fried the components in my amp because they probably didn't properly insulate my amp while welding, or at least that's what my dealership said. Now I'm out almost $3000 dollars cause my insurance won't cover it because it can't be related to the accident, my factory warranty won't cover it because it's the internals of the amp, and nobody can give me direct proof that they did it, so I can't make them fix it. read more

I rear-ended someone and a B&M tow truck showed up, with Dominic driving. I felt so bad that I had hit someone, and he was so nice and talked to me and calmed me down. The cop said I didn't have to have them tow and fix my SUV but I didn't know of any other place, so I just had him take it. When we got the Durango back we couldn't even tell anything had been wrong with it. It was fixed perfectly--clean and sparkling. They run a friendly, efficient operation. Terrible. My car was brought here after an accident. They said it would take 2 weeks. I called and they said there was more damage than they realized, and it would take another week (I was getting suspicious that they hadn't even started working on it). Finally, they called to say it was ready after it had been there for 3 1/2 weeks. We picked it up right at closing on a Friday (after returning our rental car). Turn the key, the engine light goes on, gas gauge is below E. They say that we need to leave it. Saturday they say no one is there to do repairs, and they need another part (fuel pump). We finally got the car after it had been in the shop for an ENTIRE MONTH. read more
