This seems to be rebranded as X Tea and is located behind the main buildings of the plaza so it was a little hard to find in the corner of a lot. Stopped by quickly and they were very nice and speedy with their service. They have some unique options for drinks - ended up with earl grey matcha and dahongpao milk tea. I liked the blend with the matcha and the drink was smooth. The tea drink was nicely sweetened and the tea flavor came through. There is no outdoor seating here. It's located in a smaller parking lot.
Spacious, indoor seating, small bakery items. Formerly known as X tea. Surprisingly pretty good, I would come here again to try their other drinks! Drinks: - Strawberry Matcha Cream Top Latte - strawberry on both top and bottom. Love the strawberry but the matcha is subtle. - Jasmine Milk Tea w/ honey and crystal boba - strong tea flavor, can taste the jasmine for sure, creamy. The honey boba is the perfect consistency, soft and chewy.
Pretty good! I ordered the Hojicha tea with salted cream foam. It had a nice depth of flavor but I do wish the foam was more cheesy/salty. My husband enjoyed his mango jasmine tea, describing it as fresh and not artificial tasting. Nice seating area to catch up with friends and if you're wanting a snack, they offer baked goods at the counter for purchase. Establishment is clean and service was friendly. We'll be back to try other flavors!
There were plenty of parking spots in this plaza. When you arrive, you'll see the sign says X Tea. I ordered the pandan paradise and it was really good. The barista told me they put 2 shots in their coffee drinks which is good to know. I enjoyed how strong and tasty my drink was. Would love to see a black sesame latte on their menu in the future.
Stopped by because we were in the area and my daughter could never pass up an opportunity for watermelon juice. First and foremost, signage outside states the business name being XTea but apparently they are/have transitioned to B Cafe?? Confusing yes, but does it really matter?? I'd say no. As mentioned above, we stopped by strictly for the watermelon juice [which ended up being a slushy]. Good because it was very apparent that fresh watermelon was actually used but the drink in itself was extremely bland. It honestly tasted like the parts closest to the rinds were the only bits used. 3 star because the drink was quenching and XTea/B Cafe genuinely uses whole fruit but I expected better flavor and more sweetness due to watermelons actually being in peak season.
First time coming here, and I was just looking for a good caffeine fix, but this spot ended up being such a nice surprise. It's a pretty unassuming cafe from the outside, but the atmosphere inside was super chill and relaxing, and the menu had a lot of great options. I tried one of the hojicha lattes and honestly loved it. They make the tea fresh right in front of you, which made it feel a lot more special, and the flavor was so smooth and comforting without being too sweet (even with reg sweetness...forgot to ask for less sweet). Definitely a spot I'd come back to when I want a cozy place to grab a drink.
It used to be X-tea. This place has changed their name and I assume new ownership. I came here on a whim and ordered a Einspanner. I was excited to see this on the menu since I've only had it in LA. I am so glad I ordered it. It is is so YUMMY! The strong deep coffee flavor, the creaminess and the sweetness was balanced and perfect. 10/10
Unique flavor - my first time trying bamboo oolong tea. It's definitely interesting, but it's not for everyone. The owner knew that and was very friendly about offering alternatives if we didn't like our drink. It wasn't for me, but my fiance liked it. Having the cream add on helped. My friend had to exchange hers though. She ordered less sweet, and I didn't like that either. The bamboo taste is strong. Like I said, it's interesting, but may not suit everyone's taste bud. One main reason I chose to order the bamboo tea was for the bamboo cup sleeve. Unfortunately, they're no longer including those. Apparently it's getting too expensive for them to import it (it is handmade, and I think they said it was ~$1.50 per sleeve). My friend liked his peach oolong milk tea. Based on that + the super friendly service from the owner, I'll round the review up to 4 stars.
We tried their early grey matcha (8.5/10!) and Matcha with strawberry puree (8/10) , and both did not disappoint! The Matcha was strong and the strawberry purée was nice and fresh, with real strawberry inside. It took us about 10 minutes to make all of our drinks, and we will definitely be back!
The Mango Hojicha was actually really good. I've only tried strawberry hojicha once before, and I thought that flavor paired well too. The hojicha had a strong, bold taste, which made it really enjoyable. I didn't really like the strawberry matcha drink, though--the flavor was too light and didn't have enough matcha taste.
Formally known as X Tea though they haven't changed the name yet could be a bit of confusion. Nevertheless Bro and I came by on a Saturday morning so glad they're opened early in the morning when there's ample parking located right near the Berryessa flea market. The gentleman and his assistance greeted us as we placed our orders through the self service kiosk payable by credit/debit card. Our drinks were ready within five minutes since there were no other customers at that time. I chose Thai tea 25% less sweetness whole milk regular ice large size $5.85 Bro chose brown sugar pearl 25% less sweetness regular ice whole milk large size $5.85. B Cafe is a chill spot for those quench thirsters for a laid-back atmosphere a cozy comfort relaxation definitely a go-to for a cool refreshing summer drinks at a price that is so affordable.
I got catfished by the yelp landing page because the drinks and interior looked way better online than in person. The store looks nothing like the main photos anymore and also the drinks arent in any cute cups :( Aside from that, the jasmine tea was oversteeped and bitter. The oat milk jasmine tea was really yellow??? The boba was okay but the drinks were not that good. Looks like its trying to go for more of a cafe or snack shop instead of focusing on boba. The workers were nice though and quick. But the store is now super dark and has weird interior lighting. If i had scrolled through the other yelp pics then I wouldnt have been so shocked!!

I've seen X Tea on Yelp before and finally decided to try it today. Good thing I did because it was so delicious! There's lots of parking so I didn't have an issue. I came around 6:45pm on a Saturday and it was pretty empty. The worker welcomed me as soon as I came in. There was tons of lounge seating and free WiFi. I had to ask them on their preferences (couldn't decide between fruit or milk tea) and end up getting the peach oolong milk tea with crystal boba. Let me tell you... it was DELICIOUS! It was the perfect amount of tea, not too much milk and still fruity. This is exactly what a peach oolong milk tea should be. (10000x better than sunbright). The crystal boba was decent but I wish I got the honey boba instead. I would definitely come back for their peach oolong milk tea, but I definitely want to try their osmanthus next! read more
-Went here wanting tea near this part of San Jose. I've been here multiple times now. About two, and I have to say, it's one of the better tea spots.- Service: here is always really good and quick. They're quick and easy to pick up. They clean the cup, and give to you in a good speed. Most payment is digital, but does offer tap to pay. Ambiance: is very social and has a lot of seating. There a lot of couches around,and feel really good to seat for a while. It's a place to talk and relax with a group of friends. There is no TV, but do play music. Food: They offer sweet drinks and sweet snacks. The "ORIGINAL ROSE" is layered pastry dessert with rose petals. It a really filling dessert. Worth a try. *My drinks have always been 100% sugar, normal ice(summer/fall) or less ice(winter/spring), with non-lactose free milk options.* Happy to say, they do have lactose free options. The tea is fresh and flavorful. It's not trying to become something off beat or non-tea flavored. Their cup design is really cool too. The art they put on there is fun to keep around a bit. It's also a close cap, where you can serve it later. There cups are great for hot drinks and holds well in colder temperatures. No leaks. Being it a paper cup. If you do get boba, you have to remove the cap off, if you plan to drink it later, keep the cap as it's reusable. TLDR; It's a reasonable priced place and serves in a modern way. It's a place to chat up a friend with plenty of parking. Definitely coming back. Would recommend it, if nearby. read more

I just saw this place on hungry panda and decided to try it, and who knew it became one of my fav tea spots now ! Their teas are very fragrant, I'm all about the tea instead of the milk, and I love their toppings. The store is also super cutely laid out. My fav is their cup designs. Very unique and super fun. Found my new go-to boba spot! This tops any of the boba spot I've ever had. Top quality tea AND affordable. I don't know any other place that does their milk teas like theirs. And I like how they don't charge extra for milk substitutions like other places!! *GASP* The bamboo milk tea and sweet rice milk tea were the most unique drinks on their menu. The bamboo MT came in bamboo sleeves with a cute lil panda for the straw. The drink actually had hints of bamboo flavor and orange juice which blended pretty well with the tea surprisingly. The sweet rice MT was made with sweet rice and green tea, which had a nice strong floral aftertaste. The staff are pretty nice too and there's plenty of comfortable seating. Wish they opened up a store closer to me so I wouldn't have to waste gas driving down here just for boba but it is well worth! Can't wait to come back to try their boba and the rest of the drinks on the menu!! read more
Cute little shop! I met up with my friend there around 11:30am and the store was empty. We might be the first customer that day. I got DaohongPao with fresh milk and pudding - 0% ice - 0% sugar. Sounds crazy but it's how I like my tea =*= The tea was strong and flavorful. However I don't like the pudding so I asked if they can strain the pudding out. They was very sweet and premade my drink without the pudding. I love their cup as well - very cute. read more

I decided to update my review and give this place the 5 stars it deserves. I come here almost every week (no shame lol) The staff is super friendly, drinks are always on point, and I recently tried their jasmine milk tea (even without milk it's still so good.) Their pearls are super soft/cooked perfectly, their tea is high quality and fragrant. This place has become one of my favorite spots. Highly recommend read more

First off the cups were pretty cool. Nice artwork and had a nicely designed lid. Packaging was cool. There were a lot of options with fruit teas and milk tea. I tried the Dahongpoa Milk Tea and the passion fruit drink. Not overly sweet or floral. Drink were overall solid. They did not have an overwhelming number of drinks as well. I had to stop by this boba place when I was in the North San Jose area! I came right after it opened at 12 PM, there was only one worker and I was the first order of the day. The inside has so much seating, and the employee (a Chinese girl with glasses and longer hair) was very kind to me. I ordered a peach oolong tea with 25% sweetness and aloe, and she informed me that the aloe just ran out but she'd be happy to give me another topping. I asked for the boba, and she let me know that it wasn't as sweet as it usually was. Unfortunately, the already low level of sweetness paired with the not sweet boba on top of it being mildly watery wasn't that enjoyable. I asked if she could remake it for me with lychee and she suggested 50% sweetness, and she did! It was very nice of her to do. I enjoyed my new drink a lot more, and I like the colorful and sturdy/practical design of the cup along with the lid that ensures no leakage transpires- it's a lot better than the flimsy plastic tops of boba that most places offer. I'd definitely come back here again to try a different order, the service here sold me on this location. There's a lot of boba shops, but the way I was treated here stood out a lot to me. read more
Staff is always friendly no matter what time of day and the drinks come out fairly quickly. It's helpful that they have a kiosk and let you order with a cashier/barista. Interior has a modern vibe and organized. The seating is very comfy and the tables are spacious. Parking isn't bad. It gets more full at night from claw shack customers next door. My favorites are the lemon ceylon tea and bamboo oolong milk tea! Both are so refreshing for hotter seasons and don't taste like they have a high concentration of syrup when you want 75-100% sweetness. The bamboo oolong milk tea was bright and didn't feel heavy :) it reminded me of one of those nostalgic yeo's soy milk carton drinks but with a slightly brighter flavor (citrus-y but not sour). Bamboo cup holder and panda straw deco were really cute. Looks like you can reuse it too. read more

If you're looking for traditional Chinese tea place, look no further, X Tea surely satisfies your crave. We did a group Doodash order and everyone was super satisfied with their choice. My order was a Dahonngpao Boba Milk Tea at 25% sweetness and no ice. The drink was sooo good that I drank it up within 30 minutes (I normally drink it in hours while working). The tea taste was super strong but not overwhelm. It tastes super refreshing and the aroma smells amazing. Their cup was super cute too. My coworker cup has a panda attached to the lid, and a bamboo cup cover. My Dahongpao cup was less extra but still cute. read more
I stopped in Sunday evening to get a treat after all my errands. I haven't been to this spot since it became X Tea and finally decided today was the day to try it. I was greeted right away and the girl working the counter let me know that jasmine tea was out but being made if i was ok with a wait. I looked over the menu and placed my order. I ordered the milk with brown sugar Pearl with oatmilk. My drink was $5.75 which I think is very reasonable for a with boba and oatmilk. The cashier told me it would be a wait as they were backed up but I only waited maybe 3 minutes for my drink. The drink was delicious and sweet and the boba was a great texture...not to hard and perfectly chewy. The shop was cute and still decorated how the previous spot was decorated. Another boba spot to add to the list! I've been here only a couple of times so far, but the drinks have been really good each time. Also a plus is that they haven't been busy all the times I've come too. The reason this boba spot stands out from others for me is they have a tea I haven't seen elsewhere: bamboo oolong milk tea. Despite being milk tea the drink is surprisingly refreshing and bright. There are bits of orange in it that go surprisingly well with the tea. The bamboo taste is very much present and brightens the drink even more. Another drink I recommend is the super fruit tea. It comes in a huge cup so that way the fruit doesn't displace all the tea and you still get lots of tea. One of the biggest things I liked about this drink is that I got regular sweetness and it's not too sweet at all (top tier compliment)!!! It's refreshing and is comparable to tan cha's super fruit tea, but bigger! There is lots of seating inside and despite the plush couches, there is no stickiness or stains in sight. It's a nice place to come hang out with friends and grab a silly little drink. read more

Stumbled across this place on a whim and enjoyed my drink! I loved that this location was right off the main street, so it was so easy to spot. However, making a U-turn to make it into the lot is not my ideal situation. The employees/cashier were super quick in making my drink. As I had just popped in, I wasn't able to enjoy their cute seating area. But I did enjoy my drink! The peach oolong tea was refreshing and provided a great balance of tea flavor and fruitiness from the peach flavors. I would consider coming by again if I'm in the area! read more

This is a boba store called X Tea, and it replaced Toco Tea not too long ago. Good riddance! I didn't have a good experience with Toco Tea. I hoped that the replacement would be better. I got myself a medium Jasmine Milk Green Tea ($6.75). I requested mine with whole milk substitution and boba. Hold up. Before we start with the actual review of the drink, let's examine the price, what I'm paying exactly. The original price was $5.75. For a medium (which looked to be 12 fl. oz or 1.5 cups), that's slightly above what I've seen in competing boba stores. As of this review (Jan. 2023), Tastea's smallest size is 20 oz. and it's $6.00, which is 25 cents more for an additional cup of milk tea. 7Leaves' smallest size is 12 oz. and it's $5.25, which is 50 cents less. These two places I mentioned are found on the same street, and I gave them both favorable reviews. $0.50 surcharge on boba is standard, but that brings the total to $6.25. Where's the last $0.50 coming from then? Well, turns out they charge for milk substitution. I can understand when a store adds a surcharge for, say, almond milk or oat milk substitution, but this is honestly the first time I've seen a boba store charge for regular milk. Either this drink is the nectar of the gods, or I just got duped. But let's look past the price! Boba inflation is a real thing after all. I get my drink in 5 minutes and head back to my car. I take one good look at it. Some red flags on presentation, but I'll set those aside. Then, I take a sip... No, no, no... this isn't right. This isn't right at all. Why is it that I'm constantly getting boba that taste so bland and forgettable? Well, the thing is... it's not exactly forgettable because it's the same exact taste one would find in like 80% of the boba stores in the Bay Area. It's something that first-timers and casual boba drinkers wouldn't complain about because they didn't know any better. Let me be the first to say - this is quite possibly the worst value you can get for boba in the South Bay, and I'm not exaggerating on that claim. The only thing preventing this from being a 1 star is the service being so nice and friendly. Thank you to whoever served me that evening. The real fault lies in the formula and the ingredients they were given. The inside also looks to be set up such that you can hang out inside with some friends. You can purchase through a kiosk. There is Wi-Fi access as long as you ask a staff member for the password. 1.5 stars rounded up. Never coming back again. read more

I ordered these boba drinks for buy one get one free because the place had a soft opening. My drink was $6.75 and it tasted like a normal tea without a horrible aftertaste. I ordered the yogurt green tea with little ice and 0 sugar added. The flavor was still a little bit sweet from natural sugar and had an interesting blend of yogurt and green tea flavors. I liked it but it wasn't the best place I have ever tried with boba drinks. My tea in particular avoided the boba because the boba contains more sugar than the added sugar the business provides. The service can't be judged because it was delivered to my hotel room. Again, the drinks were not bad and the price was sort of on the higher side, but the quality was there. It tastes like a premium drink compared to lets say starbucks. I was thirsty because we didn't have any water and so this drink was ordered to compensate my dehydration. I was happy and maybe wil visit the place in the future if there is time. read more

I have been going to Xtea for a while, and a lot has changed. There is food now, and the quality is excellent. The waffle was sweet and crunchy, and the avocado toast was tasty. The service, of course, was great. I had the person working the front open up a Pokemon pack. read more
Some of the most high quality tea I've ever had! The tea quality is so good, and the osmanthus oolong flavor was so complex. As you drink it there are layers of flavor I don't know how to explain it! But I would highly recommend it. The kumquat passion tea has a strong tea flavor as well and a nice tangy touch to it! X Tea is one of my new favorite boba locations in the bay. It replaced Toco Toco and resides in small plaza with other Asian restaurants, tutoring centers, and Claw Shack. During the daytime, there is plenty of parking, but in the evenings, the parking is a bit tight since Claw Shack in that plaza is a popular spot. I have been here multiple times since their soft opening began. They had a great deal of buy one get one free, and then buy one get one 50% off. I wonder if they will have any more deals in the future. Nevertheless, I will visit here again for my boba runs. The tea flavor is authentic and the service cannot be matched. The cashiers are always informative and the service is speedy. If they are still cooking or preparing ingredients like specific teas or boba, they will let you know ahead of ordering that there will be a short wait. There is plenty of seating inside, so this is a perfect place to catch up with old friends or family. They have snacks, too. I only tried the Thai Tea and the Jasmine Milk Tea. I also had their toppings of pudding or boba with my drink. The pudding texture was silky and soft and complemented my jasmine milk tea well. The boba was mildly sweetened with brown sugar and added a pleasant sweetness to my Thai Tea. The tea flavors at this restaurant are more prominent than others, so I definitely feel like this is a good spot for boba lovers who prefer authenticity in their boba desserts. X Tea also doesn't sweeten their drinks as much as other places, so if you like drinks that are mildly sweet, I would select the option of 75% or 50% (50% especially for the Thai Tea). Decided to try this place out since it's close by and seen that it had replaced a previous boba spot and wanted to see if it was better. I would say it is. Very spacious inside with tables and chairs. Definitely a place you can chill with your friends or do work or what not. Friendly customer service.. greeted promptly after walking in. They have self kiosk for you to use but you can also order at the register as well. They have lots of drinks to choose from as well as your usual boba spot snacks and ended up ordering their mango jasmine fruit tea and their oolong peach fruit tea which had a recommendation bullet on their menu next to it. They are both really good and taste refreshing. Will come back one day to try out their cheesy drinks. read more
