    Salted caramel ice cream

I've been here a few times and have always had a good experience. The ice cream is fantastic and the workers are really friendly. There's usually not too long of a line even on weekends, and you can get your ice cream and walk down the street and window shop. There isn't any seating inside, but you can go out on the front porch and sit there to eat. It can be sticky from people spilling ice cream so I usually just take it and go for a walk instead. They don't have any bathrooms here, but there is a public bathroom down the street that is pretty clean. I've gotten the salted caramel ice cream a few times and it's always a hit for me. It's the perfect blend of sweet and salty. I've also tried their brownie ice cream and that was good too.

A lot of different flavors to choose from. I ended up ordering a s'mores milkshake, and they do not skimp on the ice cream in the milkshakes! It was so thick I wish I had said yes when the employee offered me a spoon! If I am in the area again, I will stop by.

Taffy is definitely not fresh. Super old, stale, and too hard to chew. Staff was friendly enough. Atmosphere inside not very inviting. Caramel corn isn't fresh either...pre-packaged for $7.50/bag. Would not recommend.

Oregon Trail, Bing Cherry, Huckleberry and topped with Cascade Mountain Blackberry.

By far some of the best ice cream I have had. They make it out of local fresh ingredients. Since we are from So Cal we do not get a lot of berries. So any find with fresh berries is a treat for us. I got a quadruple stack with Oregon Trail, Bing Cherry, Huckleberry and Cascade Mountain Blackberry. I couldn't decide which to get so I got ALL four and each was a perfect HIT! I would get each again.

BJs - taste the difference - awesome slogan.

How many places can I go in for a treat & come out with a purse?!? Pleasant surprise. Littles loved picking out lots of salt water taffy. Husband enjoyed the kahlua crunch ice cream - So delicious! I'm normally a chocolate gal, but that was sweet satisfaction. Middle boy got some peanut butter fudge. I'm assuming it was delicious. He devoured it before I could collect taxes from him. When we got there the line was out the door, but with 2 gals it went quick. Just enough time to figure out what all 4 littles want & start to order.

B J's is ice cream done right. Located inconspicuously at the end of Bay St. this little ice cream parlor is the spot for a sweet treat in Florence. Now let me tell you... if you like taffy... You must visit B J's. I'm not a big taffy person, but even I was amazed by the huge variety of taffy that they have. It had to be at least 100 different flavors. As for the ice cream. They have some classic flavors, like vanilla and rocky road, but also some unique local tastes like Oregon Cherry and my choice, the Oregon Trail (which had swirled Marionberry). I was not disappointed. My picture is a single scoop sugar cone. Generous portions. Great flavor. Sweet tooth satisfied.

Buttered popcorn, peppermint, apple swirl and Dr Pepper taffy

I went today with my niece and got home and the taffy had NO Flavor at all.. the peppermint had a hint of flavor but all the others tasted the same..

Just picture me having checked in before we even went to dinner to find out how late they were gonna be open. 10 o'clock? Whoohoo! I will eat a sensible dinner and then have ice cream. I'm on vacation - what the hell! I had already read about their ice cream fame in a flyer and was all primed for some amazing ice cream. Some sappy story about generations taking over from generations...as long as it's good ice cream, I don't care if you showed up yesterday. Okay, back to my post-dinner visit.....now you know I want my ice cream badly when we enter RIGHT after a church van full of tourists who are placing like 400 orders to one poor girl who's sticking out the Thursday night shift (there were TWO servers when I checked earlier but I guess they thought it was gonna be a slow night so, clearly, they'd let the guy go early - BIG mistake), and I just waited patiently. Even after the NEXT family of tourists cut in front of me and ordered another 5 cones...Patiently, I waited. FINALLY it was my turn, and I ordered a junior half butter brickle and half bittersweet chocolate. Where in the world can you still get butter brickle? Anyway, the first bite was nothing less than amazing. You can tell right away it's sweet cream ice cream. So creamy! The bittersweet chocolate was also good - not sure what was bittersweet about it except that in moments it would be gone. Seriously, a must-have when you visit the coast. C'mon, splurge a little. You're on vacation (just don't cut in front of me if you know what's good for you).

    JR double scoop

Beware if you go to order "double scoop" you may want share it with your sweetie. The variety of ice creams was sufficient for all tastes. Lots of salt water taffy choices for those with a sweet tooth. When back in Florence will stop back in for ice cream and salt water taffy.

My great Double Junior Scoop Vanilla Oreo Waffle Cone!

Omg -the Kahlua krunch was amazing and rich. The view of the water and impromptu Bon Jovi karaoke on the street was an added bonus !

Worst salt water taffy ever! Absolutely flavorless. Go somewhere else for your taffy. I couldn't be more disappointed.

Fantastic ice cream. Got the pistachio almond and coconut crunch in a dipped waffle cone. Amazed at how good it was.

The icecream was ok, nothing special. $4.85 for one scoop in a waffle cone- way overpriced for ok icecream. Not returning.

Hurrah for BJ's. The ice cream is great, but the carmel apples are to die for.

The place has been around since the 70s, and you can really feel that classic charm the moment you walk in. From the vintage-style décor to the bright, fun atmosphere, it's got that nostalgic ice cream parlor vibe that's getting harder to find. The ice cream itself was fantastic--homemade and full of flavor, with a great variety to choose from. Everyone found something they loved. Finley went with a chocolate shake that hit the spot, Callum had a Rocky Road junior scoop, LaRue enjoyed the salted caramel, Emma went all in with a hot fudge sundae, and I had the blackberry cheesecake ice cream--which was incredible and definitely one I'd get again. Service was friendly and easygoing, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. It's not trying to be fancy--just a great, classic spot to grab a sweet treat and enjoy the experience. If you're in the area and want something fun, nostalgic, and genuinely good, this place is absolutely worth a stop.

We were greeted immediately and took our time looking at the flavors to decide what we wanted. I got a single cup with chocolate cheesecake and dulce de leche ice cream. My friend got a milkshake with plain chocolate ice cream. The dulce de leche was so good! The caramel ribbons were delicious and it was so creamy. The chocolate cheesecake flavor was alright, it tasted a little fake, almost like it was sugar-free. My friend said the milkshake was good and that it had the texture of a Wendy's Frosty. The staff were friendly and chatty with each other. They seemed knowledgeable about their flavors and were happy to give out up to three free samples. I didn't see a bathroom, but the Vinnie's down the street has a public uncoded bathroom. I would definitely come back here just for the dulce de leche ice cream. It's worth a trip!

They have many flavors...cookies & cream, cotton candy, strawberry banana, lemon meringue, vanilla, watermelon, cherry, black licorice, hot cinnamon (super hot), coconut, peppermint, chocolate, huckleberry, buttered popcorn, caramel swirl, pomegranate, tangerine, apple pie, green apple, chocolate caramel mocha, raspberry lemonade and frosted cupcake. We enjoyed all flavors except hot cinnamon and watermelon. Both were way too overpowering with flavor. I also bought some of the homemade Peanut Butter Explosion fudge. It was so good! Perfect combination of peanut butter and chocolate fudge. Overall I was impressed with this candy store. Everything was fresh, prices were reasonable, and service friendly. Would definitely recommend.
