I came by here on a weekday morning while visiting Seattle, and it was one of my favorite things I ate! I got the breakfast sandwich with both mushrooms and ham with the spicy sauce. It was very flavorful and all the flavors worked together well. I also got vanilla latte which was pretty standard. We got our food fast, and we were able to find a table since it wasn't too busy. My favorite spot to get a breakfast sandwich here! I love to add ham and/or mushrooms and I always add the hot sauce as well. The sandwich is perfectly done with all of the flavors melting together to create an addictive and unique experience. I'll always take visitors here when they're in town since it's nestled into a residential area so it really feels like a local gem. You order breakfast from B-side at Analog coffee so while you're at it you can order excellent coffee to accompany your breakfast. I've also tried the veggie toast which is as beautiful as it is delicious. It's a small space and does get quite busy every morning I've been in, but there are a few seats on the back porch as well as some inside. Came here for a quick last minute brunch while running errands and was very blown away! I'm not normally the type for vegan/vegetarian choices (I like my meat), but this veggie toast was so good! I honestly don't really know what I was eating, there were so many things on the bread that made it surprisingly hearty and filling! I wanted to gatekeep this place forever but this place has one of the best breakfast sandwiches in Seattle. I would recommend people placing an order ahead of time online to minimize the wait as the line can be long. Otherwise you can order from Analog coffee which also can be really crowded. There is no seating for beside, but you can take your sandwich and eat at analog coffee or just get takeout. The service has always been a hit or miss for me and sometimes it's rude. One time, I had ordered mushrooms on my breakfast sandwich, and there weren't any, and when I went back and told them, they didn't offer to take off the mushrooms off my bill for my current order. However, I am willing to overlook it just because the food here is so good. The breakfast sandwich has a really good balance and is textually interesting with the addition of pickled daikon alongside a fluffy egg omelette, prosciutto, and garlic aïoli. It really is delicious. Additionally I would also recommend their veggie bowl as that is seasonal, and always swapped out with different ferment and roasted vegetables. My only minor complaint is that sometimes it feels a bit too oily and salty but otherwise it should be very healthy with all the probiotics. Also, their veggie is to die for. I normally cannot stand beets, but I love them in this toast, because it is so unique with their homemade nut butter and zaatar. I used to live on Summit years ago and when I moved, I still had a hole in my heart for the few really great spots on that street. If you know, you know. So, I assumed B-Side would live up to the hype, and I was right. Wow! I'd just come from the dentist and was in a treat-yoself mood, so I stocked up. Grabbed two breakfast sandwiches -- one supreme spicy, one mushroom and avocado also spicy -- fermented veggies on the side and their salad. The salad was surprisingly good, which is always a treat. Too many mediocre salads in the world. It was fresh and well-seasoned. The fermented veggies lived up to their name, and I sincerely apologize if you were on my bus home. They smelled so rank haha but they were divine and were great leftover added to a taco the next day, too. Now, the show-stopper: that fucking breakfast sandwich. What?? I'm a big of a homecook and pride myself on a good breakfast sandwich. I was trying to reverse engineer exactly what made this so delectable. 1) that folded egg crepe. What a great way to serve it. It stays structural in the sandwich. It gives texture. Hell yeah. 2) the meat... I don't eat meat much so maybe I forgot how good it is. They use a fantastic porky prosciutto that paired soo well with 3) those mushrooms. All in all an amazing breakfast sandwich that I was dreaming about all day after eating it. The toast was really delicious with a good ratio of bread to topping and herbs. The breakfast sandwich was pretty good too. I enjoyed sitting and eating at the adjoined analog coffee and while the seating isn't plentiful, most people are coming in and out making it easy to find a spot to sit. I hate to give two stars to a neighborhood joint, but I was really let down. I ordered the rice bowl and the spicy carrot shot. The spicy carrot shot had zero carrot flavor and basically tasted like they saved leftover kimchi brine and tried to sell it off to unassuming customers as a "spicy carrot shot". I felt like I was chugging kimchi brine for breakfast when I was expecting something completely different. (Just a note - I love kimchi, but this wasn't expected at all). The rice bowl was decent. The egg was nicely done and the volume is plenty. It seemed like there was kimchi-like cabbage in this dish though without the kimchi flavoring. I am writing this review as I am munching down because WOW. Their Rice Bowl is so, so incredible and the epitome of how healthy food can also be delicious. It came out in 10 minutes and was piping hot -- perfectly enjoyed on a cool day on their patio seating. Really interesting combination of veggies, including kimchi-like chard, that work well together. And a perfectly soft egg on top. Been coming here pretty consistently for over a year. Analog coffee is great and the baristas are friendly and welcoming. The contrast between the people serving the coffee and food is pretty stark. There seems to be some negative energy coming from the back of the house. It's a shame, because the food is quite good. But the last two times I've been, I've had someone from BSide be rude and/or condescending. It's a bummer, but I might start skipping to avoid the unpleasant interaction.
