Avocado & Quinoa Superfood Ensalada, The Farmhouse Ranch Salad
Winter B.

Great spot to grab a healthy meal in Seattle. There is a lot of corporate people at this location so it does get crowded during lunch but line moves fast. I got the avocado quinoa salad and it was pretty good. I loved the crunchy quinoa bits in it and it tasted very fresh. They don't put too much dressing here which was good because I don't like when salad places do that. They also have sandwiches and wraps and some other sides. Would recommend.

Vegan Bahn mi which brings me to tears because it transports me back to LA

Downtown LA, Downtown Culver City, my past in LA is peppered with great memories of the mouth-watering vegan sandwiches produced with unflagging quality and taste from Mendocino Farms. The sophistication of the "California palate" with casual Asian-, Latino-, and Mediterranean-inspired salads and sandwiches are the specialty of this chain. Healthy, flavor forward but with rounded mouth feel. YUM....the American melting pot is beautifully represented here (**current insecurities and hostilities notwithstanding.**) For me on a personal gut-brain connection, the vegan Bahn Mi hittss! I come close to weeping when I taste it because it transports me back to my Culver City days -- lounging on the grand staircase across from Sony Studios and the historic Culver City hotel. Basking in that golden sunshine and snarfing down the deliciously toasted bread containing pickled carrots and daikon and expertly grilled tofu, is a warm memory. If there is any comfort food I'd go back to repeatedly in the American culinary landscape, it is the vegan Bahn Mi. That's high praise coming from someone for whom culinary novelty and unusual palate is my zone. Don't miss the sophisticated drinks...their lemonade mixes are equally Asian-, Latin- and Mediterranean-inspired, complex, and zingy. With friendly service, the excellent sandwich-soup-salad combinations here make me just, well, HAPPY. This branch is rather clinical in architecture with far-too-big picture windows in downtown Seattle. Mendocino Farms should have done more of an intimate interior design rather than this awful cold glass wrap around. Yeeuuuuch!!

If I could give them a 10 for service I would! Can't describe how amazing they were to me when I told them I had allergies to some of the ingredients in the sandwich and salad. They made sure to remove the allergens from the order and it was so delicious...didn't eat there but the ambience seemed fine and very welcoming.

Sandwich is soooo good. Service was top tier. Location can get busy, so plan for that at lunch time on a weekday.

I come here for the Prosciutto & Chicken sandwich and the Lemon Chicken & Farro soup. I would try other things, and I have, but I know I will wish that I ordered my fav sandwich. The Prosciutto & Chicken is an elevated sandwich that has all these yummy flavors combined into a filling panini pressed sandwich. The crunch of the crushed honey roasted almonds intermingled with the basil pesto and balsamic glaze is chef's kiss! The Lemon Chicken & Farro soup is delicious! I ordered my food online and picked it up without any issue during the designated pick up time.

I came here for elite week and was very satisfied! I went in the evening and I feel like Mendocino farms is a very underrated place for dinner. There aren't many premium sandwich shops that are open around this time. I ordered the Peruvian steak sandwich. It has the perfect amount of spice so that it adds to the flavor rather than takes away from it. It was toasted perfectly. It didn't travel super well (got a little messy) but it didn't affect the taste whatsoever once it was out of the bag! Be aware that it gets extremely busy during lunch time and I would suggest ordering ahead.

We went as Elite members on "Elite week" at the Westlake location the one on 4th was too crowded plus no parking The salads and sandwich were freshly made, refreshing and yummy Idk if being Elite members made a difference as we were served quickly while others waited for their orders. The place was organized, clean, and staff were friendly & welcoming The place was packed as it was lunchtime!!

I visited Mendocino Farms as part of the Yelp Elite Event. I've dined at Mendocino farms before, but at a different location. I've tried a few of their salads and wanted to try a sandwich this time. This location is very spacious and comfortable. A huge plus for allowing dogs to dine in too! PERUVIAN SANDWICH - 4/5 The server recommended the Peruvian sandwich which consists of steak tossed in a spicy aji amarillo sauce, oaxacan cheese, tomatoes, red onions, shredded romaine, and herb aioli. I also added avocado. The sandwich was warm when it arrived and the bread was crispy and toasted very well. It wasn't too spicy and had a good amount of meat complemented by the tangy sauce. Ingredients were very fresh and portions were good. The crunch of the bun was a standout for me. If you're in the mood for something lighter, the salads are a great choice, but Mendocino Farms' sandwiches hold their own too!

This is a fast lunch place, easy for a quick stop during the work day. The salads weren't anything special, but were still good. 6.5/10 This is a good stop for salads, sandwiches, and more. Instagram: Madeline's_Dines

Loved this chain when I lived in Socal. So excited for them to be here now. Its a great space - easy to find - walkable if you work or live in downtown area. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. They recommended the no so fried Chicken Sandwich as a crowd favorite. I added a chicken farro soup and guava lemonade. Yum!

Mendocino is a good lunch time spot. You can order online and their pick up system is quite efficient. The staff is super on top of it. I went during Yelp Elite Week and got the chimichurri steak sandwich. A bit messy for a work lunch but it's a good portion.

Mendocino Farms is a fantastic fast-casual option in Seattle. I wish we had something like this where I'm located, lol. My friend and I stopped by a couple Saturday evenings ago hoping to enjoy a meal with fresh and healthy ingredients (like vegetables) because we truly needed a cleanse. AVOCADO & QUINOA SUPERFOOD ENSALADA - 13.95 +4 for grilled chicken (kinda worth, tbh) So much fresh vegetables and grape tomatoes which made me so happy. I love the toasted quinoa and millet which gave the salad an extra crunch for every bite. All the toppings really made the salad delicious and worth it. The cotija cheese was a good cheese option. The chipotle vinaigrette was light and sweet. What a tasty salad and it was so, so filling. I actually would not mind paying almost $20 for this since it's packed with a lot of fresh ingredients and it filled me up really well. The service here was good and the interior was clean. We had a good time eating and talking before they closed. My friend and I also shared a potato salad, which was quite tasty.

Good for catering - Walkable from Pike Place - Easy meal spot Their menu had a decent variety and was hard to choose from! Went with a staff members recommendation and ordered the turkey avo salsa verde sandwich for lunch. Overall, good quick and easy lunch spot. Worth to try if you're around! I was the first one in and I could see large catered orders everywhere! Took about ten minutes to get my sammy and it did not disappoint! Had a little kick to it and I could taste all the flavors from each ingredient. It was a hefty sandwich that will have you plenty full! This sandwich would be a hard one to save for later, it got soggy quick but not inconveniently so. Not a spot for a date or anything but if you're in the office and need a quick lunch this is a healthy option I'd recommend!

tl;dr the juicy Caribbean pork sandwiches at this revived Seattle mini-chain live up to the…read morelegendary hype Un Bien is arguably Seattle's most popular sandwich joint, and its dramatic history begins with Cuban chef Lorenzo Lorenzo and his initial shop, Paseo. Lorenzo opened Paseo in 1994, where his popular Cuban roast pork sandwiches were regarded as among the best in the country. After years of local expansion, Paseo abruptly filed for bankruptcy in 2014. The brand was subsequently bought out by a local entrepreneur, but the sale did not include Paseo's secret recipes (the reboot attempted to reverse engineer the sandwiches with varying success). So, in 2015, Lorenzo's sons revived Paseo under a new name, Un Bien, armed with their father's original recipes. Nowadays, Un Bien is generally regarded as superior to Paseo, and you can grab their Caribbean sandos at one of the three locations across Seattle. You can't miss the pastel pink-and-teal palette of the original shack on an otherwise drab block of Ballard. As you approach the wooden window, you are greeted by the aroma of sauteed meats and veggies. Communal laquered wood benches are lined up underneath a covered pergola. Fifties hits ring respectfully around the kitchen. My partner and I visited for late weekday lunch, and we ordered immediately. We opted to focus on the signature pork shoulder, so we split the #1 Caribbean Roast and #2 The Press. Across both sandwiches, we were impressed by the tender pork, rich onions, lemon-forward aioli, and marinade-soaked baguette. The standard roast pork sandwich added on pickled jalapenos and crisp romaine, culminating in a dynamic flavor that accentuated the meat. Meanwhile, The Press featured tart banana peppers, smoked ham, and melty Swiss, amping up the sweet and savory flavors alike; we agreed that this extra-messy sandwich just edged out the standard version. Our order took just minutes to be prepared, and the bill just topped $30. Despite the fanfare, I still found myself surprised by just how satisfying Un Bien's sandwiches turned out to be. Across all the food I ate in Seattle, only these pork sandwiches would be worth a return visit, even if I had to venture out of my way.

We ordered promptly, but were told we would only have about 10 minutes to use the seating area before it closed. When we asked for clarification because the restaurant was advertised as being open until 9:00 PM, staff confirmed they were open until then but said the seating area would close earlier anyway. After receiving our food, we were told not to sit down and were asked to leave the seating area altogether. The interaction felt abrupt and discourteous, especially given that we had arrived well before closing and had purchased food with the expectation that we could eat on-site. The food itself was average, but the poor customer service and inconsistent messaging about seating left a much stronger impression than the meal. There are other better places. Skip.

The indoor space is really cute, but I was confused as to why everything was blocked off and restricted to takeout only. While it's a good sandwich, it felt a bit heavy; I really found myself looking for more acid to cut through the fat and grease. I'm glad I was sharing with Jenny because it's quite a lot for one person. I also noticed toward the end that the bread was burnt. Overall, it's a solid sandwich, but between the stomach issues and the char, I'm not sure I'd go back.

I was a bit confused on where to order until I realized there were kiosks by the front counter. It would've been nice if one of the workers actually had said something to me. Anyway, onto the food. I got the Fast Eddie with fries and it was alright. The meat was bit dry. Yes there was the au jus to dip in and it helped quite a bit, but all the flavors just didn't mesh. It was basically an ordinary french dip. The fries were okay, but the jalapeno aioli was great! That made everything better, but not enough to save the sandwich. Not sure if I would come back, but I would definitely try a different sandwich. One that caters more to my taste buds

Located in the Seattle Center Armory, along with many other food vendors, Big Mike's Sandwich Company is serving up huge cheesesteaks, chopped cheese, and other East Coast-style subs. For $25, I picked up the cheesesteak and fries combo. Not a terrible price for the portion. Waited about 10-15 minutes for the sandwich to come out. You order on a tablet here, and then they call your name. It's a small storefront, so you really have to stay nearby to hear your name being called in the large space that is the Armory. Not much interaction with staff. Plenty of seating throughout the Armory, though shared with other restaurants. The food came out piping hot. Obviously, they cook everything fresh to order because the inside of the fries was like lava. The fries were thick-cut and seasoned to perfection. The sandwich was good. I thought some pieces of the steak were a bit tough, and the roll seemed a bit over-steamed or possibly stale. A good sandwich and decent portion, nonetheless. I'm still going 5 stars here. I think Big Mike's is a great choice if you want a hearty, meat-filled sandwich and you happen to be in the area. However, I think you could be happy with another dining option in the Armory, too. My kids loved the MOD Pizza nearby. While there isn't anything wildly unique going on at Big Mike's, they are still pushing out great sandwiches at reasonable prices with a no-frills ordering process.

The meatball sub was hearty and comforting, while the eggplant sub had a rich marinara sauce that worked well with the sandwich. The only drawback was the price--at around $20 per sandwich, it felt a bit expensive for what you get, especially considering it was just a 6-inch sub, even though the quality was good. We visited during a FIFA World Cup match, so the line was quite long, but it moved steadily and efficiently. No complaints there. The atmosphere is casual and straightforward, with indoor seating only. Its downtown location near the stadiums makes it a convenient spot for a quick meal before or after an event.
