Nothing to complain about here for breakfast! Right on Main Street with eclectic music decor. We ended up here on a weekday morning and there were only a few other tables. Service was good and food came out quick! We each had an omelet which were cheesy and delicious as well as the amaaaazingly salty home fried potatoes on the side. Co-worker and I were hunting for a brunch spot on the last day of our weekend work trip. The place we initially picked to dine at had a super long wait time so we crossed the street and popped in here, and it was the best decision. We were seated quickly, immediately served coffee and the buzz of the restaurant was just lovely and not overbearing for a Sunday morning. I ordered the meat lovers Benedict and it was sooo delicious. Bacon was crispy and sizzling, and my home fries were nice and crunchy! I personally don't like home fries since its usually mushy but B-side grill makes them crunchy and I loved it! I can't remember what my coworker ordered but I've attached a photo. Their decor is fun and funky. Their menu is huge, and clean btw! Don't you hate sticky menus? B-side refers to the other side of CDs and I love that. They explain it on the front page cover of their menu. Servers are so friendly and warm, they're attentive, and refill your coffees automatically. The owner, Lou, created a very hip music/record themed joint that has very cool look and feel that is a great place to hang, eat and socialize. The food is just what one would be asking for. While this place is definitely a gem-and I'm very happy we went here was opposed to Main St. Bistro a couple flaws stood out. I specifically asked for my eggs to be cooked soft. They were very hard. I got the B-side burger it was delicious, the B-side fruit punch, I loved it, my girlfriend got the breakfast bruschetta and practically inhaled it, she said she had never had anything like it and she couldn't wait until we came back again, she was excited to tell her girlfriends who go out on monthly dinner outings that this would be a new place to add to their rotation of favorites. First off, I'd like to praise the staff at B-Side, and the manager for their dedication to customer service. I had an issue with my Uber eats order getting stolen, and the customer support not resolving my issue, leaving me without food, and without a refund. I called in to see if there was anything they can do on their end, and they offered to remake it, 2 MINUTES before closing. Not only did they remake the food for me and stay late, but it had to have been the best Burger and BLT in the town of new paltz that I could've gotten. This place might look like a hole in the wall but I have to confess that their burgers are up there as one of the more memorable I've eaten (in a good way). Parking is a lost cause since this is on Main Street. Find a metered spot nearby if you're lucky. Still, it's worth it. Service is exceptional and our waitress was attentive and informative. The coffee smelled great even though I didn't try it. It was being made fresh at 2PM. They have a great variety of burgers and fries alike. I had a chili burger and cheese fries. My daughter is a student nearby and had been here previously. It's more spacious inside than you might expect. Tables aren't jammed on top of each other. We went hiking in the area and were super hungry. There are a load of places in New Paltz but this one is what our group settled on. (Keep in Mind this is still COVID restricted area so take out only). Their menu has a lot of options which in my opinion isn't necessarily a good thing. We got a philly cheese stake sandwhich, pulled pork sandwich, chicken tenders, and some chill cheese fries. Our friends got the cali burgers. Our sandwiches were decent, very standard nothing ro complain about. However the fries were very over fried, also the tenders were paper thin and also very greasy and over fried my kids didn't touch them! Sadly i threw those and nearly all of our fries in the trash, could have just crumpled my money and toss it in the trash. Our friends said their burgers were good but had same issue with fries. The decor from what we could peek from the outside was very cool! Also the guy who was working there was nice and helped us with gettIng the kids some ice cream as well. They have a nice selections of scoops and milkshakes and floats. I realize that right now is a bit of a different time but again with the amount of restaurants in this area we will not be back for a second chance. read more

I really like this place. A (very) quick weekend escape brought us up to New Paltz. We had spent the evening at a few bars and decided we deserved a hearty breakfast the next morning to soak up the beers we had enjoyed. This place was just the trick. I chose it based on the decor. Definitely could have been a gamble, but I liked its vibe, and definitely liked how efficient the staff was when we walked in. They approached us, got our name, and wrote it down on a little chalkboard. No confusion, no awkward "who was standing in the doorway first" situation. We were seated fairly quickly. Menus and waters were presented, and I knew already I wanted some eggs, bacon, toast, and home fries. I feel like that's always a good indication of how good a breakfast place is. Coffee was actually pretty solid, and the food came out, and was exactly what I expected. Hot, fresh, delicious, and very reasonably priced. Two meals, including coffee, cost us $20. I very glady threw a tip in their appreciation bucket at the counter, where you pay at the end of your meal. Highly recommend checking this breakfast joint. This is the first restaurant I've gone to in New Paltz. I came here after a long, gorgeous hike in Minnewaska State Park. The place was great, very much smaller than I anticipated, well staffed, however, and clean. The place was old, but I liked that! I'll be getting back there over the next few months because I'll be hiking Minnewaska Much more. My waiter was nice, and I got my burger quick. Great vibe at this place. Awesome decor. I ordered the flip side omelette with salmon, cream cheese and red onion. It should've been great, but here's why it wasn't. 1. The filling was all centered in the middle, leaving the ends just empty eggs. 2. The cook had put little separate heaps of salmon, cream cheese, onions, and tomatoes so that every bite was just one thing; nothing was layered over each other. And not much salmon. When I brought it to the attention of the waitress, she suggested bringing me another plate so I could mix everything together myself. I declined the extra plate but did try to fix it on my own. Positives: they have gluten free bread and lots of vegan options. And the loaded home fries are amazing! read more
