B Street and Vine secretly hosts San Mateo's finest happy hour, with a vast selection of delicious wines and a full bar discounted every Tuesday through Saturday between 3pm and 6pm, along with even more drink specials on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It's a welcoming, chill space with tons of seating and a covered, dog-friendly patio. It's the perfect place to meet up with friends after work, curl up with a good book, or even host a corporate event. The staff is friendly and attentive, and Alan, the bartender, is a friendly, experienced leader. The kitchen whips up a wide variety of fresh salads, paninis (my favorites are the meatloaf, roast beef, caprese, thai chicken, and autostrada), wraps, and house-made desserts. The grilled cheese, mini paninis, and soups are fantastic happy hour snacks, too. Independently-owned businesses are becoming increasingly scarce of late, so come here to support a great local bar!

bruschetta bruschetta bruschetta bruschetta You MUST get the bruschetta sampler. I consider their bruschetta to actually be crostini, but whatever. My favorites - mango + avocado, pear + Brie, olive tapenade, mozzarella + tomato. Yummy yummy! Red pepper feta soup is okay. There are tiny crumbles of feta in every single mouthful. It throws it off a little. I think majority should have been blended in, with a little bit sprinkled throughout. One of my favorite places for a light meal or happy hour!

Came in excited to try a new spot and I can't recommend the bruschetta enough! Loved it! If they added more bread variations I'd for sure come more often! Note for future me: try the avocado one next :)

So happy I found a place that does bruschetta board and wine. Located in downtown San mateo. It's also next to a parking structure if you can't find street parking. There's plenty of indoor seating but we chose to sit in the patio in the back. They also sell salads, appetizers and paninis. For the bruschetta you can pick up to 4 choices. I got the brie apple, prosciutto brie, ricotta date pistachio and tomato mozzarella. All delicious. Would get it all again.

B Street & Vine has delivered consistent service and delicious food for many years. I stopped in for a glass of wine and bite. It was earlyish on a Thursday, so not many people yet. I requested to sit on the patio. I ordered the shrimp ceviche salad, one bruschetta with Brie, pears & honey, and glass of Rombauer Chardonnay. All the ingredients were fresh and presented beautifully. The service was also impeccable. I'm so glad they continue to be a part of our community and I look forward to continuing to visit for years to come!

Had a lunch reservation with friends the other day. One of my friends made a reservation for 11:30 lunch. They opened at 11:30 so we were seated promptly. Menu was mostly small plates, appetizers or sandwiches. My friends all ordered the variety of paninis offered so my review is based solely on my order which were the wide selection of bruschetta. My pick were the smoked salmon/chives/mascarpone/capers, mushroom/red peppers/feta/onions, artichoke/sundried tomatoes/feta and a sweet one which was the brie/ pear/cranberries/basil/honey. Bruschetta was flavorful and endless toppings. They don't skimp on the toppings! I think my favorite would have to be the mushrooms/feta/sweet peppers/onion and the brie/pear/honey/cranberries/basil. The mushrooms bruschetta strangely reminded me of pizza. The sweet bruschetta with the pear was nicely done. I thought I would regret my choice but b surprisingly I didn't. Not too sweet and everything was perfect. I'm not a fan of brie but it was perfect with the pear. My least favorite would have to be the smoked salmon. It didn't come with capers as advertised and no one told me why. Perhaps they forgot or ran out. Presentation was beautiful. Bruschetta can be shared if we all ordered a wide variety of each since there's so much to choose from. Service was good and fast. The place can get a bit busy but I imagine it can get busier in the summer months with some wine, desserts, small plates and good company.

B Street & Vine was a regular date night/girls night spot when we lived in San Mateo. I've actually never had anything other than their bruschetta (maybe a panini?), but it's been great enough for us to come back again and again. Such a cute and cozy spot. Staff has almost always been attentive and warm. It can get busy at dinnertime, but we've never had to wait long for a table. You can't go wrong with wine and bruschetta - and I've never seen as many unique flavors as theirs. The sweet and savory combos are my favorite. Craving one right now just thinking about it.

Stopped in for a late lunch on a Wednesday and found the restaurant pleasantly quiet. We were greeted right away by the staff, who were exceptionally attentive throughout our visit. They took care of our drinks promptly while we browsed the menu, and their warm, friendly service really stood out. One server was actually leaving for the day but made a point to say goodbye to us, which was really sweet. I also loved the open, airy feel of the space, especially with all the natural light streaming in at the front. Since we weren't too hungry, we opted for the bruschetta, which offers four different options for $22. It was delicious--probably even better with a glass of wine! A wonderful spot for a casual catch-up with a friend, made even better by the exceptional service.

We came for a bruschetta snack and a drink and it was a delight! while it was my first time here, my friend frequents this place so she helped pick out the best ones! I think the brie and pear was my favorite.

I have been going to this place for the last 10 years, and will continue to go back. Their prices have hardly fluctuated all this time, though their portions have gotten a big smaller. Nonetheless, a super affordable place considered its location in DT San Mateo and the ambiance. The place is huge with indoor and outdoor seating. I have never had to wait when I've come here. The service has always been excellent, and I have never had to wait long for my food. I always get the bruschetta sampler (4 pieces/$21) which is perfect for sharing! My personal favorites are the apple and brie and Lox toasts. I love the crusty bread they serve it on. I also get their paninis with a salad as the side. Super great portion for the price. My favorite it the autostrada panini ($14.50) I have also gotten drinks here, but both the sangria and the bellinis have been a little too sweet for me. Overall excellent place for a relaxing lunch or dinner!

The person who answered the phone was incredibly kind, patient, and welcoming. They happily answered all of my (probably silly!) questions and even asked whether we preferred to sit indoors or outdoors. The day before our reservation, I received a confirmation message, which was a thoughtful touch. When we arrived, we were greeted with genuine warmth. The entire staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, and what stood out most was how sincere it felt. These weren't just professional smiles--they made us feel like truly welcomed guests. Our server, Stefania (I hope I'm spelling her name correctly!), was absolutely wonderful. She was warm, funny, attentive, and made our evening even more enjoyable. Would I recommend Bahche to my friends? I already have! Thank you to the entire team for making our celebration so special. We can't wait to return!

We've had Tim a couple of times and a man named after the Wind. (That's what he told us his name meant but I dont remember his actual name). They know the menu, they're prompt and well dressed. For starters, we shared the meat & cheese board which our waitress recommended the off menu combo plate (2 meats & 2 cheeses for ~$40). Solid and straightforward rather than elaborate. The breads and especially the lard were the more interesting part. For entrees, we shared the diavola pizza: Good flavor with the crust being the standout. Worth mentioning that it's a softer, fork-and-knife style pizza rather than a crispy slice. Paired with the pizza was the Red wine mezzi rigatoni. Probably the most interesting savory dish. The pork sausage ragù and crispy sage made it different from a standard rigatoni. Pasta + Pizza was a great shareable combo. Lastly to round off the meal, desserts. The Chocolate trifle was the disappointment. The amount of foam overwhelmed everything else and made it underwhelming. The bomboloni were much better, particularly with the peaches. Tobias Take: Great option for people who want wine, charcuterie/cheese and several dishes for the table to share. Their meat/cheese selection and wine list are major strengths. This place shines when you order several things for the table rather than everyone ordering an individual entrée.
