One of the better beef joints I have been to. The fries are amazing. The beef is loaded, and the homemade giardiniera is on point. Owner is present, behind the grill, and friendly. I have also had the sausage, and it was also very good. The menu is pretty limited, but I prefer it that way. Would rather have them do fewer items excellently than try to do everything. Love the new location as there's so much room to sit down and they now serve alcohol as well. So glad this place re-opened back up as the food is outstanding. Storefront is not visible as you enter the complex but it's located to the left of the liquor store in the plaza. My husband likes Italian beefs so he has been here before. This was my first time I ordered the crab cakes. They came on fresh greens with a large amount of dressing. So salty the dressing awful. The crab cakes were good. I told the lady working the register she had the cook try the dressing he said bad and that was the end of it. The owner was not there. My lunch was 11 bucks not too good. I really wanted to like this place. I sincerely hope its get better. Prices are high, food is below average. $8.25 for a combo and an additional $1.25 for fries? If it was good, I would gladly pay this or more. The beef was rubbery and tough with not much flavor. The sausage while delicious was also tough. Fries were OK, and the Hot Dog was good but did not have that Vienna Beef "snap". Fresh tomatoes on the Hot Dog and good bread on the beef were the only things positive about this experience. They boast the best beef in Lake County. That's a bold statement for a newly opened establishment. I ordered pretty much everything on the menu which wasn't difficult being as they only have about 10 menu items to choose from. Which is already a bad start. I like some variety. The beef wasn't bad but far from the best in the county. Italian Ovens is better. The au jus they offered me was AMAZING. I could ingest that intravenously it was that good. The wings were??? Well they were cooked properly but the buffalo sauce had a different kind of spice that really didn't belong. Clove? Cinnamon? Couldn't quite put my finger on it. The highlight was the Tony Soprano Italian Sub. Surprisingly good. But it's not Ba Da Bing Italian Subs Company. It's Ba Da Bing Beef Company. So if you're gonna title your business after the sandwich you claim is the best in the area, you'd better deliver the goods. I probably would have given this place 3 stars cuz the food wasn't that bad... But the cheese I ordered on my beef sandwiches was not there. In addition, I'm sure I was overcharged in the area of about $5 not including the cheese I'm quite sure they charged me for. I'm always leery of a kid adding up my bill on a calculator. Offer options on how much juice you want on the beef. They go through asking if you want hot or mild peppers. Might as well lay out options for dipping or dry. The fries were decent. Steak fries come to mind, but really crispy on the outside. The absence of any online presence is confusing to me in this day and age. I had such high hopes for this place. I'm hoping they can make some adjustments as Portillos is going to open in Gurnee sometime later this year. read more

However, the shredded cheese barely melted on my sandwich by the time I got it home. If the meat isn't warm enough to melt the cheese, then they really need to be tossing it under a broiler. Small seating area in restaurant, more seating outside. Definitely more of a cash and carry kind of place. Cost for only beef w/ cheese and fries was over $10. Think it was a bit too expensive. I really hate to leave bad reviews for a place that has had some great ones in the last few months. I walked in to order the Name Sake Beef with just mozzarella and it was severely lacking the cheese and it was fine shredded which you would think should melt better but no melt at all. The sandwich was cold when we got home which is all of 5 min from one side of Grayslake to the other it was disappointing. Ok so now onto my Sausage sandwich, asked for lite peppers and the same cheese of top so it seals everything in. Get home and it too is cold and zero melt and a ton of peppers. The food is pretty dang great. The Chicago-style hot dog is so good!! The fries are fresh cut, which I'm not a huge fan of but they're good. The prices are pretty good, about $15-$20 for two people. I'd definitely recommend it. My only gripe is that they don't have a website or a menu listed online. They have some circulars inside the place, but the descriptions are pretty sparse and there are no pictures so you don't know what you're getting. read more

I was just driving by and saw this place and had to try it based on the Yelp reviews. I'm always up for trying a new hotdog place and can always go for a great Italian sausage which is what I ordered. I got the Dean Martin and it was hands down the best Italian sausage I've ever eaten. It was so juicy and flavorful and wasn't dry at all like how some Italian sausages can sometimes be. I added giardinera and mozzarella cheese to it and that only enhanced the flavor. I can't wait to go back so I can try another sandwich. I have eaten here multiple times, so after having the godfather(beef and Italian s sausage combo) last night, I had to speak out. This is the best Italian beef stand in lake county. Sal the owner is very committed to what he does and is such a great owner operator. Always is nice, welcoming and friendly. Sometime I just stop in for the fries, hand cut and cooked just right. Finally got around to stopping on the way home, now that they take plastic. Ordered a pair of beefs and fries for carryout. Well, if there's better in Lake County, I haven't tried it yet. The italian beef sandwich was huge and justifies the $7.50 price, well seasoned and juicy. My order had hot giardiniera, which was plentiful and tasty. The hand cut fries were great. Fried just long enough to start a crunch on them, and not oversalted. Really good. I'd give them 3.75 stars for this visit, as they forgot the cheese on my wife's order, but quality of the beef was excellent. read more

This is an update of my original, 2-star review. In that review I stated that I'd never be back to Ba Da Bing. Well, I should have followed the old adage, "Never say never!" because: I went back (many times!). And I'm not too proud to say: I'm glad I did! First, I went back because--after sampling the fare at a few local stops--I'm convinced Ba Da Bing has the best hotdog & fries (beef sandwiches & burgers are great too!) in the area. (And I've lived in Grayslake for 46 of my 51 years.) Second, the service was consistently spot on. The owner often even remembered my very specific, favorite order not to mention throwing in a coke or an extra dog a few times too. Either Ba Da Bing responded to the customer reviews by upping their game or the poor service I received was an outlier. Either way--the customer wins with great food complimented by great service. Do yourself a favor... give Ba Da Bing a try. You'll thank me! read more

I order a beef with sweet peppers, cheeseburgers with everything and fries. The burger was cooked medium rare, but I wanted medium well done ( I even said with very little pink to the cook). I get home and my burger is cooked with mostly pink on the inside. I proceeded to bring it back my burger and the cook was arguing with me about what medium well done looks like. Then he proceeded to mumble various things under his breath and was whispering things to the young lady working there, which made me even more upset than him cooking my food incorrectly. I like this place. The food is solid and I think the fries are great, I don't recall them being soggy as some have said. The chicken parmesan sandwich is tasty, hot dogs are good, and the beef is good. I do think the beef could use a bit more seasoning, but I things are great when well seasoned. The homemade gardinara is fantastic too. The owner is friendly to us always, this is our go to beef/hot dog place when we're in the mood. read more
