First off let's start with the food. Great tasting Mongolian barbecue. Good thing because that's what the serve!! Secondly the place is clean. Very clean. If you have ever been to a restaurant and then used the bathroom only to be disgusted because of the dirty/neglected bathroom.. don't worry because this place was surprisingly clean.. I mean I was extremely impressed with the cleanliness which translates into the feeling that the kitchen will be taken care of also Lastly the owner is a great addition to the ambiance.. wanting his customers to be happy and it shows by acts of service.. little things like coming by to ask how it is. Offering new spices to try or just being truly happy to be there! Place is great!! They make it super straight forward to order... load up a bowl or two with veggies and meat, pick your noodle size, they ask a few questions about sauces and done. No mess, cooked perfect, excellent flavors! Wasn't sure about not being able to choose my noodles and sauce, but it made things so much easier. This establishment opened fairly recent and thought I'd give it a try! Inside is clean! Has your typical beef, chicken pork options and a few veggies. The problem I ran into is they have several sauces that are unlabeled that they pour. I was asked "spicy or sweet" I don't want either. I would like to know what sauce you're scooping into the bowl! They could only answer with it's a "mixture " each sauce had its own paddle but the lady just used one laddle in every single sauce. When I asked for no soy sauce they told me that's just how it comes. I have never been to a Mongolian bbq that I wasn't able to leave out any sauce options. There are no toppings like sesame seeds or peanuts. The weird thing is, even though I had placed beef in my bowl, by the time it made it to my Togo container there was one piece. Not sure where the other was but worst of all their "sauce mixture " that we have no control over, was WAY too sweet and I was unable to even eat the $20 lunch. The staff and what i would assume is the owner were very welcoming. The food was very good. My kids who typically are picky, ages 7 and 5 yo, loved it. I would recommend this place to everyone. I stumbled upon O Tasty for a quick place to grab lunch and it did not disappoint. The restaurant is very clean compared to other typical Mongolian BBQ spots. There's plenty of seating for small and large groups. The choices of meat were beef, chicken, and pork. And the big selection of vegetables was fresh. The cooks were polite and helped me make sure I wasn't spilling my food into the veggie bar. After selecting my meat and veggies, the cooks added my sauces and noodles of choice (thick or thin). The meal comes with a choice of white rice, fried rice, fried spring rolls, or potstickers. The noodles came to our table quick and steaming hot. The food really is not bad but this place is trying to reinvent the wheel. It's not AYCE like every other place. You get a tiny bowl for your choices. The choices of meat and veggies are limited. The weirdest part is that you don't add your noodles or your sauce. They have mystery liquids and ask you if you want it sweet or spicy. For a Mongolian BBQ, the selection of vegetables was very limited. Also, the meat selection was missing lamb, which we both enjoy having. And, no peanuts, which is a minor issue, but still a nice addition to the meal. The cook puts your choice of thick or thin noodles into a separate bowl that is twice the size of the one holding your veggies and meat. So, if you like noodles, then this is your place because that's mostly what you end up with in your bowl. As all the other comments state, the cook also mixes up the sauce after you tell him whether you want spicey or sweet. I choose some of both - savory and sweet - and I enjoyed the mix they made. However, we were the ONLY two people in the restaurant and we still had to stand around waiting for someone to take our payment. We actually could have easily done a dine and dash had we been that type of person. I honestly wish them the best of luck, it just isn't 'our' type of place. Paying $20 for a bowl of noodles just isn't our style. read more

We have always loved OTasty since my kids were little, they looked forward to it when they were still at Westfield Galleria. So when we found out that they are opening an actual restaurant, we got excited. So last sunday, the whole family had lunch and sure enough, it didnt dissapoint. I ended up with a bowl of mostly noodle that was a sweet, bland flavor. Despite there being 5 people working and them not being very busy, no water refills were offered. Happened here on accident. This was the best Mongolian BBQ experience I have ever had. Cooking the noodles at the end keeps the from getting oily. I wasn't excited about not adding my own sauces. He asked what I want. I said yes, savory with a little sweet and some heat. He NAILED IT. I couldn't have done any better. The place is very clean. Service is outstanding. Very disappointing. one trip only, you can't add your own noodles or sauce (the person working there adds it for you and gives you an insane amount of noodles to make it look like you're getting a lot of food), you get a small bowl for veggies and proteins and the veggie choices are very limited compared to most Mongolians. I love this place! This exact restaurant was in the Galleria mall and I was so sad when they left my mom and I thoroughly enjoyed their food so when we saw them today at a standalone, we had to try it. It is the same people cooking same owners and the quality is still amazing. Absolutely delicious. It is quick and efficient to get in and out or it has a nice atmosphere inside if you would like to sit nice and clean and very welcoming! This place is unlike any other Mongolian BBQ place I've ever been, which is great, IMO. The aesthetic of the restaurant is clean and modern and spacious. The staff was so friendly and helpful. It must be noted that this is not an all-you-can-eat situation. You are provided with a medium-ish sized bowl to put your meat and veggies in then the chef adds a generous portion of either thick or thin noodles. The ending portion is very generous. It was important to me that be able to take my left overs home and I did so now I have dinner for another night. One other thing- the meal comes with your choice of steamed rice, fried rice, potstickers or spring rolls. I had the potstickers and my husband had the spring rolls. I think next time, I'll opt for the fried rice instead since the potstickers weren't anything special. read more

I was so happy to see another Mongolian BBQ opening within 5min from my house. I went for lunch today to try out. Its a bit more expensive than other places I've been, selection of vegetables is fewer, also I could not pour my own sauce. Lady said they do the noodles and sauce for me. I was going to ask her not much soy sauce but she kept pouring. Each sauce has no name so all I could say was not too spicy. It came out way too salty and too sweet even if you are not watching sodium. For the price, they had no soup like my other favorite places. I chose gyoza dumplings for free add ons which was not that good. I probably will not go back. I was struggling with salty meal drinking lot of water but nobody came to pour more water even though place was pretty empty. I was furious so left $20 bill on the table and told one lady money is there. As I walked out other lady came and said I have not paid. I told her I probably won't come back. If your Mongolian BBQ restaurant only allows one serving for $21, it better be good. After selecting chicken and vegetables, I was asked by the older, balding bearded guy whether I wanted sweet or spicy sauce, neither of which I wanted (I far prefer to make my own). I asked if there was sesame oil available after answering twice, then he cut me off and asked me AGAIN without answering my question. Another younger guy dumped my ingredients on the grill without using any oil, and as you may expect my bowl was dried out and nearly flavorless even after I added a couple of soy sauce packets. I gave up after 1/3 of the bowl. No one asked us what we wanted for our sides, and we were halfway through when we finally had to ask. They then proceeded to bring out the wrong side for my girlfriend. To top it off, the old guy tried to charge me for my own bottled water that I had brought in with me. I've been a career server for over 25 years now, so I'm usually pretty forgiving, but this was a pathetically bad showing all around at a level of dining that isn't exactly rocket science. You load up your bowl with meat and veggies and then they do the noodles and sauces for you so don't be worried when you see the small bowls when you come in. The staff is very nice and attentive.
