    Making the bread

If you're from Germany and miss a nice Turkish kebab shop... this one might be for you. It's not gourmet but it feels nostalgic. The family that runs the place is really nice and they have moved from turkey to Austria to America. Feel free to practice your German they sprechen. They make fresh bread every day. Don't bother getting the wrap. I got the chicken and it's rotisserie grilled over hot coal. The place is in a strip mall and they were having AC issues but that also felt authentically European. Sandwiches automatically come with a drink and crinkle fries that are made to order.

We were there for lunch. I ordered a schnitzel in pita bread. The meal includes a can soda. The watermelon soda was a good drink. The fresh bake pita bread and the chicken schnitzel were excellent. I had red cabbage, tomato slice, cucumber, white garlic sauce in the sandwich. The crunchy, juicy, soft fresh bread, turned into a such tasty combination. The meat portion was generous. I took the rice instead of fry. The rice was also very good. They were perfect texture and so rich in cardamom fragrance. I am a fan! The services were attentive. The sitting area was hot around noon time. I guess the AC wasn't full blown. Good German-style doners with outstanding fries. Not quite what I was hoping for but good. Would have liked a slab of feta and pepperoncini. The owner seems like a nice guy. Somewhat clean place but needs air conditioning.

Good stuff. If you like gyros and schwarmas, you like doners. Order meat doner (or chicken) German style with hot. My recommendation. I'd come back.

I lived in Germany for a while and döners are amazing sober and drinking; each restaurant has a slightly different version. Baba's could definitely be found in downtown Kaiserslautern or Wiesbaden! Delicious, fresh ingredients, FILLING, and a good value for what you get. The man constructing the meal asked which way I wanted it and was pleased with my choice. He was pleasant to talk to while I watched him make three sammiches with fries. Yum!

Great Döner and fresh fries. Got the chicken döner that comes with fries and a drink. Everything was fresh and tasted phenomenal. If you like spicy, get the hot sauce on your kebab. I will definitely be back for the beef döner. You won't regret. Owner is a great man and I enjoyed speaking some German again. Very authentic!!!

Amazing little place.. took me back to Germany and the Doner spots that would be out on the streets. Quality food, excellent service, chill and relaxed place. I will definitely return. The owners are very friendly and listen to their customers.

The banana was delicious to me, however it wasn't everyone's cup of tea, the Oktoberfest suited everyone's taste. The Oktoberfest. We ordered the JÄGERSCHNITZEL with Veal with the Pancakes and Pierogies. Our two big appetizers are the Onions Rings and Pomme Fries. All delicious. I could've ate two of those schnitzels all on my own. The service was excellent. Our server was attentive, super friendly- down to earth guy. The interior also blew me away with their decked out supply of German snacks, deli, beer, chocolate, random grocery assortment, all the way down to the furniture and how the employees dress; you feel like your legit in Germany. On the weekends they also have live performances, unfortunately we got there too late but from what I've heard from others that has been, it's a lively great time. Definitely will be coming back to try enjoy their live performances and food!

I had such high hopes for this place. :( The selection is very limited and perhaps I missed something (entirely possible), but I did not see a price list for the deli case. We did find a unique assortment of other German products- some we haven't seen in many years. The restaurant portion was quite busy and the customers looked happy. We were flooded with nostalgia and left in hopes of dining in on a less-busy day. I ordered two meats, including the German bologna. During the drive home, my family and I noticed a terrible odor-- the kind where we started pointing fingers at one another. We never suspected that the package from the deli was the source. When we opened it at home, a nauseatingly funky, ammonia-type smell came from the German bologna. While the liverwurst smelled okay, I could not trust it after the bologna and decided against keeping it. Wasted time and money. Dang! The staff is super nice and that was truly a plus. However, I doubt we will be back. My family is very bummed over this.

Upon walking in, the impression is very authentic German. We were seated promptly although waitress thought we were with a party of 6 and it was just my husband & I. Seated us and we ordered drinks and shortly thereafter we ordered the food. It arrived quickly, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the overall dining experience did not meet our expectations. The potato pancakes lacked flavor and were quite bland. The Wiener schnitzel was especially disappointing -- the veal was very difficult to cut, and the breading fell off almost immediately, causing the dish to fall apart. It did not feel like an authentic German preparation. The rouladen was just ok, lacking flavor also. We were quite surprised, particularly since the owner is from Berlin. It seemed clear that the owner is not the chef or directly involved in the kitchen. My husband is from Germany so we know what authentic German food is. On a positive note, the music was authentic and added a nice touch to the atmosphere, which we did enjoy.

My partner attempted to order the pork spatzle and was told they were out of it along with a few other dishes. We found parking easily and were greeted immediately inside the restaurant. The restaurant was busy, lively, and felt cozy. There was happy hour specials($5 appetizers and beer) going on when we arrived so we decided to order off that menu. To do so, you do have to order at the bar so keep that in mind. We were led to the bar room and it was spacious and alot more quiet than the main dining area. Our server was attentive and made sure we were taken care of. We had the following: Pretzel with mustard and cheese: 7.5/10 - it was a bit salty but combined with the sweet mustard was delicious! Since it was the smaller version of their giant pretzel, it was only $5 and worth every penny! It was a pretty good size and enough to share between the both of us. I liked the cheese spread too but it was bit rich for me. The mustard was definitely our favorite dip! Potato pancakes with applesauce and sour cream: 9/10 - this was by far my favorite appetizer. The potato pancakes were fried perfectly and the crispy edges were delightful! I didn't think I would enjoy apple sauce and sour cream together but it worked so well with the fried pancake. It cuts through the grease and adds a little sweetness. The portion size was hefty too for $5! Bratwurst with hot mustard: 8/10 - There were a variety of flavors we could choose from and I chose cajun since I love spicy flavors. The bratwurst was cooked perfectly and it was also cut into pieces for easy eating. For $5 you get a big bratwurst and some mustard. I wish it was a little spicier but nonetheless, it was juicy, flavorful, and had that signature snap of a great bratwurst. Jaeger schnitzel: 9/10 - my husband chose the veal and he said it's one of the best schnitzels he's ever eaten. I could see the joy in his face in each and every single bite. It came with warm, pickled cabbage and spaetzle. The schnitzel and spaetzle were covered in this absolutely delightful gravy. I had a bite of everything and it was divine! My husband has lived in Germany and he said it was very reminiscence of his time there. It was a pretty hefty portion too and I knew he loved it when he cleaned his plate completely haha Apple streusel: 9/10 - The apples combined with the flakiness of the pastry and hints of cinnamon was like a warm, cozy hug on a winter day. I cannot explain to you how yummy this was. The pastry itself was light, airy, and each bite made us smile. Definitely try this dessert out! German beer: 9/10 - Husband enjoyed his beer very much and I took a sip. It tasted pretty light and not too heavy. Overall, we will definitely be coming back if we're in the area. Service and food were absolutely great! Prices were reasonable for the portion size too! It's located in a really cute historic area that was perfect for a mid day date or to walk around and explore. They also have their own German cafe/market that you can snacks, cookies, cakes, candies, meats, cheeses, etc. from too!
