I had a good lunch the other day. food was good. Service was good. I find any restaurant that allows dogs to be above a dining table or bar counter to be despicable and this is also a violation of the Health & Safety Code regulating food service establishments. Service animals need to work from the floor in restaurants. Just because people need attention doesn't mean they get to put their dogs paws on a dining table or be cradled in their owners desperate arms above a surface where their dander can fall on the table or on the tables next to them. They should also not be sitting in chairs where diners sit. I don't wanna leave a restaurant with dog hair all over my clothing. I personally love dogs, but would never allow my dog to put its paws on a table or hold my dog above the dining table in a restaurant where other people, possibly people with allergies dine. I personally think it's ridiculous that people need to bring their dogs to restaurants but at the very least the restaurant has a responsibility to the other patrons to keep the animals below the food preparation and consumption areas. I really hope that you guys will address this. read more

I was wondering what might be a good place to dine. I discovered a charming small restaurant with many patrons seated on the patio, which led me to believe it must be quite good. I secured a table for one and ordered a few appetizers, soup, and the main entree. The service was pleasant; the gentleman was amiable, though not overly attentive. I ordered the mushroom soup, which was flavorful, but unfortunately, it arrived cold. For appetizers, I selected the ahi tuna, which was quite bland and lacked flavor, and the coconut shrimp, which was also bland. I also ordered a beet salad, which was very uninspired; the flavors were simply not present in my entree order. I had the mahi-mahi fish with coconut sauce and salsa. The rice was delicious, but the fish itself was quite bland. The food arrived cold, so I was unable to consume much of it as it was too chilled to enjoy. I must admit I was rather disappointed. I ordered a variety of dishes, and none of them were particularly flavorful. I suspect that because the restaurant caters to a more senior clientele, the palate is accustomed to very mild dishes. Therefore, I was not particularly impressed, but if you appreciate simple, unseasoned cuisine, this might be a suitable dining option for you. Delicious! This place is small. They have a very tiny indoor area and bar, but it's so cute. The outdoor area is really where you want to be plenty of shade, which is nice. The food is delicious. I had the patty melt minus the cheese and the sweet potato fries which were so damn good. This place is incredibly dog friendly, you actually might see more dogs than people, but that's OK. The service was a bit slow, we had to ask few times for our server to come and get our order, after that the food came quickly. Their casa asada taco was very dry, almost not taste. Lunch with friends at The Fix in Palm Desert before flying home from Palm Springs. The Fix is a lovely restrauant, with modern lines and appointments. It has an Inside-outside bar and a large covered outdoor seating area. The menu is American themed. The atmosphere is casual with a fun vibe. I started with coffee (boring), but two of the group had Bloody Marrys and the other a Momossa. The bloody marry presentation was spectacular. I opted for the Monte Cristo with hashbrowns and was mildly disappointed. It was very hardy but not as flavorful as I expected. I'd give it a 4/5. Jan had the corn beef hash with poached eggs. It looked good and tasted good. She is a hash person and gave it a 5/5. Our friend that had the breakfast burrito gave it it a 5/5. It was definitely huge. It could easily have been shared. Our friend that had the omelet said it was very good. It was busy when we got there at 11 a.m. We were lucky and we're seated right away. When we left there was a long line waiting to be seated. My tuna melt was tasty and perfectly made with a small side of fries. My friend had the crispy tofu salad that he liked. I've been here several times. It's always dependable. Excellent restaurant. This restaurant has great energy and it started with the Host that answered the phone. It was a holiday yesterday and I just wanted to confirm they were open and he was very charming and said they were open every day. A friend and I met there for lunch and were quickly seated outdoors under the Umbrellas. It is always fun to sit outdoors, facing the sidewalk and watching all the busy people. The waitress came by and took our order quickly and it was excellent food. We had a small amount of rain during our lunch and the waitress offered to bring us inside, but it was quite nice to enjoy the weather. Went here after hearing about prime rib on Thursday nights. We brought a bottle of wine as we didn't know what to expect but after hearing server say we have best wine prices in all of the desert. Well $44 for a bottle of two buck chuck we opted for corkage of stupid $25 for our wine. Told server if corkage was free server gets bigger tip but went way over their head. I had the large 14 oz cut that was like 10 oz. I eat a lot of prime rib and their scale needs calibration. It was rare as ordered and crust was good but really small. Baked potato not hot no sour cream or anything but super hard butter that can't melt on a cold potato. Veggies okay. Wife had sand dabs served cold and rice with zero flavor. All in all overpriced cafeteria food. Will we be back hell no. Too many good restaurants in area to support this. read more

Have seen this in the past but this is the first time we've actually dined at the restaurant. Was looking at available reservations on OpenTable and this was available the same day. The reviews online were very good so we thought we would give it a try. More outdoor covered patio than indoor dining, but with plenty of heat lamps for dinner services. They had an incredible musician playing during dinner as well. Everything we ordered for the group was amazing, and very generous portion sizes as well. Not overpriced, it was very fair based on the portions served and service received. We'll be coming back for sure when in the area visiting. read more

Decided to stop by this place and give it a try based on hearing it has gluten free options. Will not be back. First off, was given dirty silverware with nasty food caked into the fork. Just shows that whoever is washing dishes is not washing them. Ew. Second, our server had no idea what was gluten free or what wasn't. I asked for recommendations and questions but he literally could not give me an answer. I decided to take a risk and try a dish and pray it was gluten free. Lastly, the food was bland. It needed a ton of sauce just to get rid of the blandness. We ate the whole time there not one refill of coffee, Nada no refill on ice tea or anything. Nobody came by except to bring the tab. I asked for water FOUR TIMES from the same bartender James and keep in mind during the hour I went wasn't too busy at the bar.. but four times is extremely unacceptable. Been three times chicken pesto sandwich was decent second time fried chicken dry all components but edible today friend and I had the burger supposed to be medium. It was overcooked sinful what you did to that Wagyu beef. The bun again was unedible not enough water on the table to make that go down $80 later we had one drink each so we ended up going to habit for a better burger. I'm new to the fix my friend remembers when you opened. We both agreed we'll never come back. I really wanted to like this place because the food was absolutely delicious, but the service was just horrible. The waiter, especially the balding one, kept making eye contact but never acknowledged us. We were completely ignored the whole time. The hostess took our order, and it wasn't like they were busy--there were empty tables, and the waitstaff was just standing around. I don't understand why we were treated this way.
