I was wondering what might be a good place to dine. I discovered a charming small restaurant with many patrons seated on the patio, which led me to believe it must be quite good. I secured a table for one and ordered a few appetizers, soup, and the main entree. The service was pleasant; the gentleman was amiable, though not overly attentive. I ordered the mushroom soup, which was flavorful, but unfortunately, it arrived cold. For appetizers, I selected the ahi tuna, which was quite bland and lacked flavor, and the coconut shrimp, which was also bland. I also ordered a beet salad, which was very uninspired; the flavors were simply not present in my entree order. I had the mahi-mahi fish with coconut sauce and salsa. The rice was delicious, but the fish itself was quite bland. The food arrived cold, so I was unable to consume much of it as it was too chilled to enjoy. I must admit I was rather disappointed. I ordered a variety of dishes, and none of them were particularly flavorful. I suspect that because the restaurant caters to a more senior clientele, the palate is accustomed to very mild dishes. Therefore, I was not particularly impressed, but if you appreciate simple, unseasoned cuisine, this might be a suitable dining option for you. I was hesitant to award three stars, as I was quite disappointed with the flavors of the dishes.

We stopped there for a quick lunch, they have a cozy patio covered w umbrella and we were sat quickly. The service was a bit slow, we had to ask few times for our server to come and get our order, after that the food came quickly. Their casa asada taco was very dry, almost not taste. Their guac lacked taste as well. Their food was more 2/5 stars.

Lunch with friends at The Fix in Palm Desert before flying home from Palm Springs. The Fix is a lovely restrauant, with modern lines and appointments. It has an Inside-outside bar and a large covered outdoor seating area. The menu is American themed. The atmosphere is casual with a fun vibe. I started with coffee (boring), but two of the group had Bloody Marrys and the other a Momossa. The bloody marry presentation was spectacular. I opted for the Monte Cristo with hashbrowns and was mildly disappointed. It was very hardy but not as flavorful as I expected. I'd give it a 4/5. Jan had the corn beef hash with poached eggs. It looked good and tasted good. She is a hash person and gave it a 5/5. Our friend that had the breakfast burrito gave it it a 5/5. It was definitely huge. It could easily have been shared. Our friend that had the omelet said it was very good. It was busy when we got there at 11 a.m. We were lucky and we're seated right away. When we left there was a long line waiting to be seated. The prices are moderate. The service was good.

Starters the ambiance is cozy and nice for good conversations. Their menus are simple, yet enough to have a choice. From the greeter to the servers are all personable and welcoming. Tried their mixed green salad. The blackberry Balsamic is yummy. Can't go wrong here.

Very nice place in downtown Palm desert. Extensive sandwich and drink menu. Excellent service. Quintessential spot to hang out.

Chinese Chicken salad is best I know. The fried chicken sandwich was very good but I would get with the mustard on the side.

It clearly caters to a sophisticated crowd--very similar in vibe to their Calabasas location. While parking is accessible in the rear, it can get congested during peak season. The menu is extensive with plenty of excellent selections, though the pricing is definitely premium. For instance, a Cobb salad topped with fish can easily exceed $45; while the quality is high, that's a significant jump over nearby staples like Daily Grill. Service was friendly but lacked consistency; our server disappeared mid-meal without a hand-off, requiring us to flag down other staff. Overall, it's a bright, airy, and stylish spot well worth a visit, provided you're prepared for the 'luxury' price point.

For what ever reason the hostess had seated in the very back corner, I mean a very last seat in the place by the bathroom doors, walking past several empty tables and booths on the way. I think we were dressed as well as most everyone else. But for some reason this hostess didn't like something, never encountered an issue there like this before. I have no idea what I/we did to annoy this woman just walking in the door but I/we did. And it took a very long time to even get a water, or waitperson or anything. Finally I caught the eye of one who said he's take care of us. Very nice waiter, g reat service. It may be a long time before I go there again. I almost stopped on our way out the door to ask why, what trespass did we commit, but she was no where to be seen. It's a shame I really like the food here and the staff is usually 100% on point but this really put a damper on our Mother's Day celebration. Five stars on our waiter, five on the food Zero on the hostess.

Palm Desert retail is below while Palm Springs is right next door. Both have access to restaurants and retail. This location has a decent size dining room and a pretty big covered patio that wraps around. At first we thought that we would have to check in with the hostess for a seat at the bar but found out that we didn't as someone else just walked right up. It was the start of happy hour which was the reason for the visit. Just wanted a drink and maybe a light bite. There was 2 seats that were available at the bar which was perfect timing as when we got seated, a few other people walked in but ended up just ordering drinks while waiting for a seat to open up. Happy hours from 3-5 which I feel like loads of people come for it. They offer a couple dollars off of starters, wine and beer. For small bites, 5.00 sliders and 6.00 fish tacos. Limited but a little discount on the starters. We had a glass of wine which was 4.00 off with the HH. Of course with that, something to munch on was needed. Clearly they're known for the coconut shrimp starters which we were informed by the bartender. And from the looks of it, pretty much everyone sitting there had an order. Which was a given for us to get. It came with five shrimp, decent size with a nice glaze sauce and adorned with coleslaw which was quite tasty. Definitely worth it. And the sliders, one each. Wow, I'm not much of a burger person but they were tasty. Cooked perfectly, the meat was juicy and served pretty simple with grilled onions, sauce, a slice of cheese and a slice of pickle on top of the bun. Simple yet very tasty and flavorful. The service was great at the bar. Gentlemen taking care of use was sweet and quite friendly. Seemed like it's a local and regular hangout as he seemed to know everyone sitting there. The wine was tasty and the bites were great. Coconut shrimp was a hit as well as the sliders which I do recommend. Even on a Monday right at 3, the bar area was pretty packed already. People know when to come for HH.

It gives Hawaii vibes with its decor and music, and made me miss Hawaii for sure....But the price for the mediocre food was just ok. I got the chicken Benedict, the chicken was moist and it was served on Hawaiian bread, but the sauce and the slaw just didn't pair well, and the Benedict on the side was just weird, too many flavors that did not mix well. The potatoes they gave also were flavorless and super hard, it needed more time in the oven. Kinda disappointing. My husband got the ahi tuna poke bowl. The presentation was nice just like the chicken Benedict but the amount of tuna versus the rice and everything else was not a good ratio. The flavor was good tho. There is a kids menu, and the chicken tenders were good but there was no option for the chicken tenders just fruit which was weird bc they had fries for the burger option. There were a lot of breakfast options, from specialty pancakes and waffles to unique omelets and Mexicandishes like Chilaquiles. I got the Biancasada omelet, which has carne asada, peppers, onions and cheese. It is served with your choice of side (I got potato wedges) and bread (I subbed the grilled peach specialty pancake). The omelet was ok...the carne asada wasn't great and the other ingredients could have been cooked more. The wedges were good, but I didn't like the grilled peach pancake as much as I thought I would and wished I would have got the lemon blueberry. Portions were big, and I took half to go. Hubby got the chorizo con papas omelet with hash browns cooked extra crispy and a buttermilk pancake. The omelet was really good, and the hash browns were cooked well. The pancake was a pancake. At that point, we decided to get up, cancel our order, and leave. I completely understand that restaurants can get busy, but there was little communication and we felt completely forgotten.
