Very nice, timely, courteous, knowledgeable and had good suggestions. The food was awesome! From the crab and spinach dip, to the pasta and shrimp dishes and shrimp kisses. All cooked perfectly and delicious. The restaurant is welcoming, clean, casual and comfortable! The manager came by and welcomed us and later checked on the food quality. We were in last night for a celebratory dinner, because both of our daughters landed new jobs. We had Siham (Sisi) for our server. She was so awesome. The food is always good, but I want to talk about Sisi! She caught one mistake before our food even came out. A burger we ordered without cheese had cheese on it. So she had it remade. Came out a few minutes after the rest of our food! When my son saw the bacon wasn't crispy, she immediately remedied that problem as well. Being no fault of hers, I'm sure she was upset with kitchen staff....but she kept her cool, was apologetic and super accommodating! Great job, Sisi!! And congrats on your coaching job too! read more

They've really done a great job decorating this place! It truly feels like you've stepped onto Bourbon Street immediately when you walked through the doors. Giving this place a final opportunity to be what it wants was. Nasty the food is nasty! Scallops were raw, only cooked on one side, some kind of flattened hush puppy only cooked on one side like it floated in the grease sunny side up, blackened was ruined due to burned butter. It appears only one side of most of everything was cooked. The lemon sauce was watery almost like it was not a sauce at all just water. Red beans and rice were cold as if they had set in the container for a while. Mind you the entire dinner was to go. Last time we came I left my phone home so I couldn't capture all the goodness. The only thing we didn't get this time was the seafood platter. The green beans are so good and flavorful. The shrimp in the fried are butterflied and seasoned perfectly. Now the heavy favorite with my crew is the Cajun Pasta. Now for me I need a dash of salt and pepper. Now, DON't GET ME WRONG! The wine sauce that the noodles are tossed in is amazing. Its just bland to me. When I asked the table if they needed salt and pepper for their's and the response was "for what". We tried to order to-go this evening on the phone, as we were ordering from the blackboard. We are Landry's club members. I had to call 8 times. The 8th time, my call was finally answered. (The first 7 times, the phone would ring and after several minutes of ringing, the line would disconnect). After finally answering, I was transferred to the to-go order server. We came to eat on Thanksgiving day so it was VERY busy. Andy the front counter host was soooooooo KIND, SWEET, and made us feel so WELCOMED. Although my food lacked flavor and I won't be returning because of it I appreciated Andy so much!! I gave the restaurant 2 stars because the food was not good BUT Andy gets 10 stars!!! Also the food runner Sisco/Cisco I know I probably spelled it wrong but Cisco was sooooooo GREAT! He was sooooooo nice to myself and my children! He made us feel welcomed. This restaurant is truly straight out of N'awlins. Walking in the decor, the music, the vibes screamed French Quarter. The food was pretty satisfying. I ordered the Creole Gumbo since I wasn't feeling that hungry and it was a good bite. I was worried that it might be too salty but it was just fine. The rice was perfectly cooked, perfect to eat with the gumbo. I would rate this dish a 5/5. I also tried the shrimp and grits. It was very tangy and tingled my taste buds. It was a bit too rich for my taste, I definitely could not eat more than a couple bites of this. I would rate 3/5. The crab bisque was one of my favorites. It had little pieces of crab in it and paired perfectly with the creamy soup. I would highly recommend, 5/5. Lastly, I also tried the Zydeco pasta. This is place is a seafood heaven, all type of seafood in Cajun style. The food portions are huge and we had to take half of it home, the calamari picture is what was left after eating most of it. We really loved the taste, the decor and the service was fast taking into considerable that we went on Saturday's evening. Peel and eat shrimp, coconut shrimp, to name a few. Always fresh caught fish-there is a large list of what they have available, cooked like you want. Our fave side (pictured below) is the loaded sweet potato. It's like a dessert! Sooooo melt in your mouth delicious. And also pictured is the small (large is huge!) serving of the best bread pudding I've ever put in my mouth! I always enjoyed the food at Babin's so it was top of my list of restaurants to consider when we were looking for a place that would seat 12 to 13 people together and still be capable of providing great service and. Joey, our server could not have been more gracious and accommodating. He went out of his way to make sure that we were all comfortable well fed and made to feel as though we were his only priority. The one star is not for the food. The food is always excellent at this location along with the service. Todays 1 star is all about the General Manager Jeff Parker yelling at a server while his guests were eating, instead of quietly taking the person aside and doing it outside of earshot. I asked to speak to him and he disappeared. After paying I asked the hostess to please ask him to come out so I could share my miserable experience and he sends the kitchen manager and never came out. The food is great. I had the golden tile. Second time at Babin's and I enjoyed it! Came during Saturday happy hour and ordered all kinds of yummy eats. Listen, the bread that they provide after you sit down is sooooo good. I actually just love bread period but this bread is so good and that butter, oh yes! We had frozen drinks and a few beers. Of all of the chain restaurants for seafood I think Babins really hits the spot. For lunch, party of three we were all satisfied with our meals. The lunch specials are the right portions size and are well-priced. My mom was craving Red Lobster but I encouraged her to try out Babins and she was pleased. Everybody staff observed precautionary measures, wore masks and had sanitized physical menu so for those who did not want to scan the QR code to read your menu off your phone, you are in luck. The bathrooms are clean and there are plexiglass dividers between all booths. Just be prepared for some loud zydeco music interspersed with regular pop music piped in overhead. This is NOT safe for people with gluten issues. We had a team lunch, there, today. I called ahead (no GF menu online), last week, to be sure that it would be safe. They assured me that although they don't have a GF menu, they could easily accommodate me. I notified the server of my issue. She ruled out some items (e.g., dirty rice) and recommended other sides. I went with her suggestions. Easy peasy. Well, we had a dozen people... and I wasn't able to eat any of the appetizers. So, I was glad when my entree arrived, first. Alas, the topping was on the side because it contained gluten (???) and devoid of sides (they also had gluten). Twenty minutes later, with a small portion of cold fish, I got butter and lemon. This is not enough food for any normal adult. Around that same time, my colleague across from me got his meal. The server was polite... and tried to serve me (after I finished the fish) my other side (coleslaw). She said, "I looked at the ingredients and it should be fine. I asked to see the list. It was not fine (not GF). Look... I'm grateful that I avoided being deathly ill for 1-3 weeks. I'm glad that someone in the kitchen realized that their food was not GF. But I'm also REALLY p1ssed off -- I wanted a low-drama, carefree experience. Instead, I had to wait about 3.5 hours after I arrived at their restaurant to have an actual meal. I don't "get" how a place can be this clueless about food allergies as we enter 2023. Do not trust these people -- it was by luck and mistrust that I avoided some very real and long-term suffering. Used to love the food, but it's gone down hill. The Brussel sprouts special side was terrible. Boiled sprouts with Cajun seasoning - not good! The redfish was tough and a little over cooked and lacked flavor. Our waitress was super nice, but they were so busy, she didn't have a chance! Poor lady was run ragged. There was a 35 min wait time for table of two on a Saturday night. My experience with the bar staff was horrible and uncanny. Very hostile men. Want to be nice but can be overly uptight and rude. Made me not want to visit again. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. My silverware was dirty with stuck food on it. Very disgusting. I had to ask for a new set.
