BabyStacks is one of the OG breakfast spots that we've been fans of since they opened up their first cafe on North Buffalo in 2010. This Chinatown location is smaller than their other locales, but does have patio seating that you can choose if the weather is permitting. You can count on great service and ono eats here. My favorite pancakes are the signature red velvet and the cinnabun. Lolo Rick's Adobo Fried Rice is always a great choice that is big enough to share. The breakfast favorite combos are good, too, and you can upgrade the buttermilk pancakes to one of the 23 classic pancake flavors offered. If you're in Vegas and looking for a great breakfast/brunch spot to eat at, come here! It's a Filipino-Hawaiian establishment with lots to offer. I personally think, BabyStacks is better than a lot of breakfast cafes in Hawaii! I ordered the Portuguese fried rice which is wrapped in an omelette. It's tasty and delicious and I even recommend ordering a side of spam to make things better. I loved their Ube pancake and Guava pancake!! They're loaded with lots of syrup and authentic flavors. My friends got the veggie skillet with a side of lemon ricotta pancake. I loved the strawberry guava pancakes! Highly recommend. The omlette was good and fairly standard and came with a side of potatoes. I thought the lemon ricotta pancake was ok, it was more like a Swedish pancake rather than American style. We really liked our food. My sister and I split a savory dish and the ube pancakes. The ube pancakes had a good texture and without the sauces, it's not super sweet at all. We got the sausages with rice and it was pretty good! There were so many dishes here that I wanted to try but we weren't super hungry. Was in the area for a couple hours before making the drive to Sedona and got hungry and came here. Great choice!!! The ube babystack pancakes were fire!! Not overly sweet but loved the glaze on them. Pancakes were super soft and fluffy and was a great compliment to the sisig that I ordered. Sisig was served with a side of garlic fried rice and 2 eggs cooked to your liking. I came here maybe a year ago and it was just as good as I remembered it to be. This time we came on a Sunday around 11 am and we did not have to wait at all. The restaurant is in a busy plaza so parking might be a little hard to find. It's a casual spot with tables to accommodate big parties. The service was friendly and quick. I love how you are able to make a lot of substitutions with your sides. I got the lolo rick adobo fried rice and it was flavorful, not dried, and hit the SPOT. I was able to get the guava strawberry pancakes as my side and those were sweet and the perfect dessert to my friend rice. The strawberries tasted fresh and weren't too sour. I did think the garlic rice my girlfriend got could had been more garlicky because it tasted kind of bland even after adding a little salt and pepper. Her sourdough came with a good generous amount of butter on it already which I loved. I needed to get some work done and they had a table with an outlet I was able to plus my laptop in thanks! I was very disappointed by my experience at this restaurant. Me and my family's first time trying this restaurant, also with my task trained service dog, right when were about to be seated, a staff asked to see my service dog's ID/documentation before allowing us to proceed. Mind you, we were already patiently waiting in line to be seated, and the staff saw my service dog and ddnt't ask about any documentation when we entered. If I would've known ahead of time that theyre gonna deny us, I shouldn't waste my time waiting. This is the very first time that my service dog got denied. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), businesses are generally not allowed to require documentation, certification, or an ID card for a service dog. They may only ask two questions if it isn't obvious that the dog is a service animal: (1) whether the dog is required because of a disability, and (2) what work or task the dog has been trained to perform. Being asked for documentation was upsetting and made me feel unwelcome. I hope the restaurant takes the time to properly train its staff on ADA requirements so that other customers with legitimate service dogs are treated respectfully and in accordance with the law. read more

Brunched at BabyStacks Cafe and it did not disappoint. The menu has a wide variety from pancakes, crepes, and waffles to Filipino-Hawaiian inspired dishes. As an ube lover, I had to try the Ube French toast, and i love that it was crusted with macadamia nuts which gave it a nice crunch. I initially ordered their Ube Longanisa Breakfast Burger but they were already sold out :( ...so I ended up ordering their kalbi with garlic fried rice. The restaurant is small so definitely get there early especially on the weekends. Overall, the it's a great brunch spot in Chinatown with plenty of unique options. I'll definitely be back! read more

Despite being packed on a weekday--even compared to other famous off-strip spots--the food simply didn't live up to the buzz. The Food: - Banana Pancakes: I chose these specifically because several other pancake options apparently use artificial flavors. Unfortunately, the pancakes themselves were mediocre, and the topping was so bad it rendered the dish inedible. - Adobo Fried Rice: After having an incredible version at Guieb the day before, this was a massive letdown. The eggs were perfectly poached and the creamy yolk enhanced the thick slice of Canadian bacon. The hollandaise sauce was lacking. It needed a splash of lemon juice and paprika. I added Tabasco to add a bit of heat. The hash browns had a crispy exterior, and hot and soft inside. Definitely needed salt. As an extra, I ordered a side of buttermilk pancakes. 3.75 Stars Light, fluffy and Golden brown. The batter was ok. The cakes were about 6", great as a side item. Also the coffee was good, black and strong. It reminded me when my in-laws owned a restaurant and I made the coffee for our customers. The location was a little hidden when we were looking for it. Once we got there we got seated pretty quickly. I must say the place is rather small but we made the most of it. We ordered our food and got our drinks very quickly. The coffee was not the greatest but I drank it . The menu did have a lot of choices I just felt that it was really expensive. For just eggs and sausage and toast it was $15!! Like that's just a basic breakfast, nothing of specialty. I ordered the french toast combo and the presentation was missed I must say. I ordered scrambled eggs and they came out very runny, the bacon I had asked for extra crispy which came out great. My French toast was just once slice of toast cut in half with a vanilla topping on top which is cold. So when I started eating my french toast they were cold from the topping. Which was not to my liking, and my plate was $16 which I thought was crazy. We were seated at the end of the long table in the middle of the restaurant and didn't mind sitting next to other parties. Items ordered: - Loco moco: Don't let the portion size deceive you because even though it looked small, it fills you up! Gravy was thick but flavorful, and you can substitute for garlic rice. Potatoes on the side were crispy though could use a bit more flavor. - Red velvet pancakes: I love how the pancakes come with chocolate chips in them and it tasted like a red velvet cake! Absolutely loved this Hawaiian spot! We were in Vegas for the weekend and had breakfast here on a Saturday and it was amazing. We were here pretty early, about 9ish, and beat the breakfast crowd so it was perfect. I ordered the loco moco with eggs over easy and potatoes and did not disappoint. Stopped by Babystacks for breakfast with my friend and really enjoyed it! We hadn't been before, so was great to try something new. We decided to order two meals to share and upgraded both to include specialty pancakes. Kalbi, Garlic rice and eggs: this was delicious. Classic kalbi, can't go wrong there. The garlic rice upgrade was great, the flavor of the garlic really stood out. Side of Peanut Butter pancakes with chocolate chips - good pancakes, had a nice fluffy texture and the PB flavor came through, but wasn't overwhelming. Corned Beef hash and eggs with hashbrowns - this was your standard corned beef hash, and hit the spot! We ordered hashbrowns since we already got rice with the other dish, and they were really good. Nice and crispy! Side of Ube pancakes - these were really yummy, but pretty decadent. They were also a little sweet for my liking, but my friend thought they were perfect! It was a lot of food, so maybe I wouldn't upgrade to add pancakes next time or I'd only get pancakes (unless whoever i'm with is down to share an order of both!) The service was great. Enrollment was very friendly and attentive. It definitely gets crowded in there, but it seemed to move pretty quickly. Not bad for Korea Town breakfast food. I ordered the burger with a fried egg, and it was surprisingly juicy with good flavor. We tried the short rib and rice plate, but the meat was tougher than expected. They forgot one of our potato plates, which was disappointing because the potatoes we did receive were actually solid. Service was fine, and we were seated at a large family style dining table, which I enjoyed since it gave us plenty of room. All things considered, I would give it 3 out of 5 stars. We came on a Saturday morning and were originally told the wait would be over an hour. We had driven out from the strip and decided it would take us just as long to find somewhere else to go, so we decided to just commit. In the end, the wait was only 15-20 minutes before we were seated. All I can say is: This is a heart attack you want to have. I ordered the country fried steak with a short stack of the hazelnut pancakes. The country fried steak was standard, fried well with chunky gravy. The pancakes were so good though. They were a little on the sweet side but I could not stop eating them, and the whipped cream with hazelnut bits on the top was to die for. Service was pretty quick here and the only complaint I have is I had ordered a coffee that was never served. When I pointed it out, they took it off the bill but if they had checked in more frequently, I would have had the opportunity to still get it while eating. I got the adobo fried rice wrapped in an omelette, the eggs felt overcooked and underseasoned but the fried rice itself was pretty good. You can upgrade your sides and get a 2 stack (baby stack) of pancakes for only 3.50 which felt like a great deal! My family and I recently enjoyed breakfast here. During our visit, a very popular locally based Hawaiian reggae music group walked in. We could not help ourselves. We had to take a picture with them. One of their guitar players was the absolute sweetest and gave our little one his pick. He also went ahead and further engaged with her and asked what her breakfast recommendations were. Our server was awesome. He helped us to kind of customize and create some of our own breakfast dishes. I had pancakes that had a guava glaze on top. That was amazing. I wish I could find something like that here, closer to home. The edges were just crispy enough and the middle of the pancakes were so super fluffy and light. My lil one was thrilled with her breakfast. It could not have been any more simple but at the same time, it could not have been any more satisfying. My husband had some kind of interesting looking scramble. He really liked his dish. He kept telling me that the flavors all just really came through so nicely. Our server, as I mentioned before, was awesome. He continually checked on us. He anticipated our requests. We never needed for a single thing. This particular location is very small. Parking is out in the front, Free. There are plenty of tables and chairs that can be moved around to accommodate a group but personally, I would not recommend this particular location for a larger group. It would be great and everything but again, I feel like this particular restaurant is just a tad too tiny. I was sitting in one corner of the restaurant and I could do not, my neighbor and I were basically rubbing shoulders. Luckily, she was sweet as ever, but I am sure that both she and I did not expect to sit so close to one another. She and whoever it was that she was with, we all talked about food and what the recommendations were, what they ordered, everything. So that was really nice. The vibe was definitely friendly and upbeat. You could tell, everybody was just happy and enjoying their food. I am glad that they offer baby stocks of pancakes, a half stack. There are so many different varieties of pancakes that you can order here. If I had the room, I would've ordered another 1 or 2 of the 1/2 stacks so that I could try the other flavors. As far as the wait time goes, we got lucky. We got one of the last tables available. I think enough people were coming and going that the wait wasn't very long. But it also look like if you didn't get there just the right time, you could potentially be waiting quite a while. Sometimes, that happens. You cannot rush greatness. Short version, would I come here again? Absolutely. Yes. Hands-down, 100%. Was the food good? Worth it? Definitely worth it. Portion size is great. The wait time is not long at all.
