Family-owned restaurant with the best (and only) Li Hing drink I've ever had. I left the Las Vegas strip for something I hadn't had there or in Miami. Hello Kanani's Cafe! Walked up to the door and the place was packed with locals, good call! I had the Butter Moochi Hotcakes and Kanani's Famous Locco Mocco. I left stuffed, highly satisfied and with a hug from the owner. Everyone there is family or almost family. Two places now on permanent rotation in LV, Maroon by Chef Kwame Onwuachi and Kanani's Cafe.

We absolutely love coming here! Especially when family & friends come into town!! The Portuguese bean soup, malasada & butter mochi pancake is a must! The pancakes itself doesn't need syrup at all! But it's nice knowing they keep the syrups nice and warm for customers! The inside is super cute, unique and cozy! Works and customers are always talking it up and everybody feels like family and so warm, welcoming and friendly! We always love the service!

Kanani's Cafe is really being led by an amazing individual. The fact that she took her time to go above and beyond to look into the issue and not leave any stone unturned truly speaks to how well this place is managed. Despite my first experience, I definitely will be willing to give this place another try. The workers here definitely make you feel as if you've been transported back to the islands.

Everything went well. We had to wait a good 30 minutes, there was so much people outside waiting And I could see why it's worth the wait. It's a little shop with the friendliest and happiest people who worked there making it a fun place to eat. so attentive everyone! My Husband and I went there for breakfast on his birthday. He had a spam and eggs. And I had the omelette with spam and rice It was a 10 out of 10 spam was perfect And the rice paired perfect with it. This was my first time trying this together. We will definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu. They have some pancakes on there that looked delicious.

This place was in my collection to definitely try and it wasn't a disappointment. Great food, great service. It's a very cute, down to earth, mom and pop type cafe. The malasada or mochi pancakes are a must! Breakfast burrito was very good. Everything tasted fire.

Kanani's Cafe on Rainbow and Robindale has been getting some attention in the Southwest area since opening about five months ago. It's a smaller restaurant, so expect a wait if you're coming on a weekend. We arrived a little before 11:30 on a Sunday morning and waited about 20 minutes for our party of four. While we waited outside, we checked out the menu so we would have an idea of what to order when we got seated. I don't recommend parties much larger than 4, although 6 is possible but it gets tighter. * Kanani's Famous Loco Moco $16 with added mushrooms $2 - This came highly recommended and we couldn't agree more. The homemade burger patty has some great flavor all on its own, so that's a big win there. It comes with two eggs your way, a scoop of mac salad, and a bed of rice. We aren't the biggest fans of mac salad and should have asked if they could replace it with something else. * Podagee Sausage Benedict $14 - The hollandaise sauce was really good and contrasted nicely with the saltiness of the sausage. * Butter Mochi Hotcakes $12 - Another dish that came recommended and we decided to keep it as is. (Options to add fruit, whipped cream, etc. are offered.). We liked it on its own and it doesn't really need any syrup. * Corned Beef Hash $14 - I ordered this based on the positive comments from reviews and was a tad disappointed. It's canned corned beef and I guess it was my mistake to assume it wouldn't be. It was fine, but wasn't exceptional or anything. There are probably more specialty options to choose from and I should have done that instead. We were definitely curious about the Malasada Hotcakes too as it comes highly recommended. We'll have to save that for next time. Service was good - Kolby has a lot of great energy and it comes across very easily. The whole team is serving up Aloha spirit with a smile. There is a 3% charge for credit cards, which it looks like more restaurants are passing on to customers.

This place is a MUST TRY! Service was amazing...drinks were topped off and service was proactive. I literally didn't have to ask for anything. My husband and I got lucky and got seated pretty quick! The ambiance was clean and had a Hawaiian theme. We ordered Corn Beef Hash, Loco Moco and short Hotcakes. All the food was fresh and flavorful! Also, the food was cooked perfectly! The food was reasonably priced and portions were very generous. We had plenty of leftovers to take home! We will definitely be back to try more!

Wow, wow, wow!!! So glad my friends from Hawaii who now live in Vegas told me about this spot. Reminded me of being back home... anyhoo let's get to the food.. I ordered the Hawaiian Kine with over easy eggs to put over my rice of course and Portuguese Sausage which is my favorite but hard to get in the mainland. The breakfast was amazing but the highlight was the pancakes because they were Malasada Pancakes.. for the people who don't know you gotta try it but it's dough fried covered with sugar.. I know I know doesn't sounds fancy but trust me it's amazing! This was a one of one type of pancake because I've never heard of any place doing this so good for them. Anyhoo, if you're around Rainbow Blvd be sure to stop by and give them a try. I promise you, you won't be disappointed.

This place seriously deserves all the 5 stars, and the line out the door! Tried Kanani's for breakfast with my mom for the first time today. Although there was a little bit of a wait (at 9AM!), I loved that there were ice cold water bottles in a cooler outside-- an incredibly kind and thoughtful touch especially considering how hot our summers are! The place is small, but inviting. 10 tables max with a small bar-seating area. We ended up ordering: -Loco Moco 10/10: the beef patties were tender, the gravy was flavorful without being too salty, and the mac salad literally tastes exactly like my grandma used to make it. -Da Boom Kanani 10/10: I got mine with Portuguese sausage and scrambled eggs. Everything was cooked perfectly, and reminded me of a breakfast I'd make at home. I upgraded to the butter mochi pancakes for $3 more. Super worth it. The pancakes are so flavorful that they barely need any syrup. There's a nice chewiness from the mochi flour without completely changing the texture. They were genuinely hard to stop eating lol. CJ was our server and he was absolutely wonderful. Very attentive, intuitive, and kind. Even though the place was packed, we never lacked for anything. Overall, you'd never know this place has only been open since January-- between the quality of food, packed tables, and level of service, you'd think they've been a beloved staple in the community for years. If you're in search of a breakfast spot that feels like a hug, Kanani's is that place.

Omg!!! Had to return because the food is so ono. Looking for a delicious Loco Moco, Kanani's Cafe had got to be the best Loco Moco in Vegas. The meat is seasoned well and the gravy has a lot of flavor. Tupac says it's the BEST he's ever had. We added mushrooms and onions which was perfect however, I would recommend to keep the onions big instead of cutting it small. The mushrooms were yummy. Service is always awesome and the Mochi pancakes is always a hit. Not sweet but so good. Stop by and give them a try.

Arrived today around 11AM, it was pretty packed and busy! My brother and i were immediately greeted with everyone's aloha spirit. The menu and food options is very straight to the point catering to what they truly offer in every delicious way. My brother got the Kananis Famous Loco Moco, i got the Cheehoo omelette, and we shared Butter Mochi Hotcakes. From when they brought out the food to us almost finishing our food, my brother and i couldn't stop saying "OH WOW". I cannot wait take my son here, he would enjoy this restaurant! Butter Mochi Hotcakes - 10/10 - MUST HAVE ! Kananis Famous Loco Moco - Two 6oz beef patties, with eggs, rice, & mac salad - 8.5/10 Cheehoo Omelette - Portuguese sausage, peppers, jalapeno, cheese, and added onions with sides of tots and wheat toast - 8/10 Other than how delicious the food was, huge recognition to the staff! Their aloha spirit was really warm and welcoming! I would over hear the staff talking to other customers dining in and i love how social and kind everyone is. Personable conversations, to making sure everyone is doing well, if anyone needed anything, smiling, etc. The staff plus the delicious food made everything so enjoyable. We definitely need more of this light in the world! Overall, the restaurant itself is 10/10! Already excited to come back and share with my family and loved ones. Thank you for taking care of my brother and i this trip Kananis Cafe!

I ordered the Malasada pancakes... it's exactly how you're envisioning them to taste. Flat, cripsy edges, fluffy inside with sprinkled sugar (added a side of strawberries). Order comes with (2) big ass cakes. The butter mochi cakes were really good too. I paired them with their tater tots and washed it down with black coffee. What would I have added... maybe ling hi powder? Maybe a filling? Nontheless, I'll be back to try other things off their menu. Get there early because it gets crowded quick.

We decided to try this place because its next door to an indoor playroom for my grandkids. The food was great with no complaints. The service was excellent, they checked on us a few times, the owner also came to chat and joked with us. The ambiance was perfect. We had to wait about 15 minutes but it was worth it. My grandkids also enjoyed their meals. If you are in the area, check them out.

We tried the peaches and cream cake, mini tiramisu and mini cheesecake. The tiramisu was on point and so rich while also maintaining its light and airy appeal. Same for the peaches and cream cake - it has chunks of fresh peaches that were naturally sweet with the light fluffiness of the cake and whipped filling and topping to feel like a peachy cloud swept me away. Additionally their baked savory pastries are fresh, flavors are on point and super tasty. An absolute midday treat. We tried the kimchi and curry pastries. Great, balanced flavors. My absolute favorite has to be their ube latte though. The ube flavor shines through so beautifully and offers that escape from a stressful day that i am always hopeful a nice latte will. My suggestion for pastries would be to hit a French or Japanese bakery where they import real ingredients and don't use enriched flour or a bunch of seed oils and ingredients that just aren't worth eating. Service is basic as it gets, employees there just to do their job which is 100% okay. But in a service industry there's just not much to say about staff that stands out. They just have you pay for what you served yourself and you're on your way. The set up is nice inside and fairly clean. One thing I see often is that the amount of use with the tongs, I never seen clean ones come back to where they are and I been her a few dozen times with friends and family. So that's pretty gross imo. ***this is what hurts the most*** At the end of the night, what doesn't sell gets trashed. This is so hard to watch and I've watched them do this three times. You could feed a small army with the waste they have. I understand some laws get in the way of giving free food to homeless and blah blah blah. But there are many apps in use now they could sign up for where leftover unsold items could be sold for a fraction of the price. I've talked to staff twice about why they just trash and the only response was that they are to bake fresh every day. If you look at the ingredients, this place doesn't use gut friendly ingredients and the amount of junk in it is crazy. So to bake fresh not healthy food daily then waste hundreds of not thousands of retail valued food is insane. Glad you're doing well enough to just toss food but please at least get connected with one of those apps to at least let budget eaters get deals on what you're tossing anyways. I came in on a Wednesday evening. I still had my punch card from last time, but they have since transitioned to the phone number rewards system, so the manager asked to take down my number to manually put in 4 points for the last time I was there. I ordered a Coconut Mousse, Lemon Mousse, and Pistachio Cafe Frappe. Once they rung me up, I saw a charge for $9, but I know for a fact that nothing I ordered was $9. The young guy ringing me up said the coconut mousse isn't $8.50, its $9 - but the menus hung overhead as well as the to-go menu pamphlets all said $8.50. I know its only 50 cents, but its the principle of the thing - you have to honor the price you advertise to the customer. The young boy and even the manager kept insisting on how that's for the old menu, I don't care - that is your mistake, not mine. Update your menu then - and he showed me how the laminated print out menu said $9, but I showed how the wooden boards hung up and the pamphlets both say otherwise. Took way longer than it should've. The boy didn't know how to manually override the price, so I had to ask him to get his manager to. These people don't understand proper business etiquette. Hope that experience taught them something. Aside from that pricing issue. Food was good, and ambiance was nice. Plenty of picturesque spots inside to snap photos at. Would I recommend them? Maybe. Will I come back? Maybe, but to their other location next time.

They also have classics like muffins and chocolate chip cookies. All the pastries are on the less sweet side which I really like. Our go to choice is the classic sliced white bread which is delicious and makes amazing toast. They also have a large selection in the cold case of specialty cakes and cake slices. I really like the Black Forest cake! Again, these cakes are less sweet than you'd expect which I like! They also have a selection of specialty coffees and boba drinks! There is a small seating area as well if you want to dine in and enjoy a coffee and a small snack. The decor is clean and simple. Service is ok. Not particularly friendly usually but polite and efficient. Overall this is a great bakery with a wide variety of options!

Hiyee Rie! She's one of the regular staff members here who has always been friendly and hard…read moreworking. No doubt she's a top member of this company, if not, ehem! Should be! After so many years of coming to Suzuya. I must say, they are very consistent and by now I think I've tried every regular item and plenty of yummy seasonal items. We love the salads when we're avoiding sugary stuff & pair it with a straight forward Matcha. For the desserts/pastries, my family loves the strawberry cake for birthdays. Me, I don't like cake unless it's cheesecake & they have a variety. Personally I do love the Yuzu Panna Cotta (ya I prolly spelt that wrong). && the macaroons are super great, ima MAC kinda guy, so a variety of flavors is a W! For the vibe inside! I love the music not having lyrics, super chill jazzy upbeat. So it's easy to concentrate for conversations, reading and online work. It's always very clean, constant flow of customers, some apparel & grab n go items. The colors are a soft wood, white and green plants all around with some gold accents and a clean appearance of staff, with positive attitudes. If I wanting anything more from the biz, it would be a reward system & larger sized drinks. I know bigger drinks aren't necessarily good for us, so I get it :-/ haha. Either way, 10 out of 10 biz!

Thank you, Mike, for taking the time to respond. I appreciate your acknowledgment of the other…read moreservice issues I experienced. However, I do want to clarify one very important point regarding my service dog. He was calm, quiet, and completely under control throughout the entire visit. He was not active, disruptive, or vocal at any time. He is a trained service dog, not a pet. I also want to clarify that under the ADA, a person with a service dog cannot be required to sit outside simply because they are accompanied by a service animal. Service dogs are generally permitted to accompany their handlers in areas where customers are normally allowed. A service animal may only be excluded in limited circumstances, such as when the animal is out of control and the handler does not take effective action, or when the animal is not housebroken. Neither of those circumstances applied here. So while I understand your policy regarding active or vocal dogs, that does not describe my dog or what happened during my visit. He was calm and caused no disturbance whatsoever. I sincerely hope your staff can be better informed about the distinction between pets and service animals so that another customer with a legitimate service dog is not made to feel unwelcome or told they MUST sit outside.
