We decided to try this place because its next door to an indoor playroom for my grandkids. The food was great with no complaints. The service was excellent, they checked on us a few times, the owner also came to chat and joked with us. The ambiance was perfect. We had to wait about 15 minutes but it was worth it. My grandkids also enjoyed their meals. If you are in the area, check them out.

Kanani's Cafe on Rainbow and Robindale has been getting some attention in the Southwest area since opening about five months ago. It's a smaller restaurant, so expect a wait if you're coming on a weekend. We arrived a little before 11:30 on a Sunday morning and waited about 20 minutes for our party of four. While we waited outside, we checked out the menu so we would have an idea of what to order when we got seated. I don't recommend parties much larger than 4, although 6 is possible but it gets tighter. * Kanani's Famous Loco Moco $16 with added mushrooms $2 - This came highly recommended and we couldn't agree more. The homemade burger patty has some great flavor all on its own, so that's a big win there. It comes with two eggs your way, a scoop of mac salad, and a bed of rice. We aren't the biggest fans of mac salad and should have asked if they could replace it with something else. * Podagee Sausage Benedict $14 - The hollandaise sauce was really good and contrasted nicely with the saltiness of the sausage. * Butter Mochi Hotcakes $12 - Another dish that came recommended and we decided to keep it as is. (Options to add fruit, whipped cream, etc. are offered.). We liked it on its own and it doesn't really need any syrup. * Corned Beef Hash $14 - I ordered this based on the positive comments from reviews and was a tad disappointed. It's canned corned beef and I guess it was my mistake to assume it wouldn't be. It was fine, but wasn't exceptional or anything. There are probably more specialty options to choose from and I should have done that instead. We were definitely curious about the Malasada Hotcakes too as it comes highly recommended. We'll have to save that for next time. Service was good - Kolby has a lot of great energy and it comes across very easily. The whole team is serving up Aloha spirit with a smile. There is a 3% charge for credit cards, which it looks like more restaurants are passing on to customers.

This place is a MUST TRY! Service was amazing...drinks were topped off and service was proactive. I literally didn't have to ask for anything. My husband and I got lucky and got seated pretty quick! The ambiance was clean and had a Hawaiian theme. We ordered Corn Beef Hash, Loco Moco and short Hotcakes. All the food was fresh and flavorful! Also, the food was cooked perfectly! The food was reasonably priced and portions were very generous. We had plenty of leftovers to take home! We will definitely be back to try more!

Wow, wow, wow!!! So glad my friends from Hawaii who now live in Vegas told me about this spot. Reminded me of being back home... anyhoo let's get to the food.. I ordered the Hawaiian Kine with over easy eggs to put over my rice of course and Portuguese Sausage which is my favorite but hard to get in the mainland. The breakfast was amazing but the highlight was the pancakes because they were Malasada Pancakes.. for the people who don't know you gotta try it but it's dough fried covered with sugar.. I know I know doesn't sounds fancy but trust me it's amazing! This was a one of one type of pancake because I've never heard of any place doing this so good for them. Anyhoo, if you're around Rainbow Blvd be sure to stop by and give them a try. I promise you, you won't be disappointed.

Omg!!! Had to return because the food is so ono. Looking for a delicious Loco Moco, Kanani's Cafe had got to be the best Loco Moco in Vegas. The meat is seasoned well and the gravy has a lot of flavor. Tupac says it's the BEST he's ever had. We added mushrooms and onions which was perfect however, I would recommend to keep the onions big instead of cutting it small. The mushrooms were yummy. Service is always awesome and the Mochi pancakes is always a hit. Not sweet but so good. Stop by and give them a try.

Arrived today around 11AM, it was pretty packed and busy! My brother and i were immediately greeted with everyone's aloha spirit. The menu and food options is very straight to the point catering to what they truly offer in every delicious way. My brother got the Kananis Famous Loco Moco, i got the Cheehoo omelette, and we shared Butter Mochi Hotcakes. From when they brought out the food to us almost finishing our food, my brother and i couldn't stop saying "OH WOW". I cannot wait take my son here, he would enjoy this restaurant! Butter Mochi Hotcakes - 10/10 - MUST HAVE ! Kananis Famous Loco Moco - Two 6oz beef patties, with eggs, rice, & mac salad - 8.5/10 Cheehoo Omelette - Portuguese sausage, peppers, jalapeno, cheese, and added onions with sides of tots and wheat toast - 8/10 Other than how delicious the food was, huge recognition to the staff! Their aloha spirit was really warm and welcoming! I would over hear the staff talking to other customers dining in and i love how social and kind everyone is. Personable conversations, to making sure everyone is doing well, if anyone needed anything, smiling, etc. The staff plus the delicious food made everything so enjoyable. We definitely need more of this light in the world! Overall, the restaurant itself is 10/10! Already excited to come back and share with my family and loved ones. Thank you for taking care of my brother and i this trip Kananis Cafe!

I came here from the recommendation of Brandonofvegas (IG) and this was absolutely amazing. The service was spectacular from our server ( can't recall her name) she was amazing! Best attitude and super friendly and helpful. We had the Butter Mochi pancakes and the Loko Moto, AMAZING! Fast service and super tasty breakfast! Definitely recommend and worth a repeat while we are here!

Mood - In my feelings Whenever I'm feeling down, food soothes my soul. Especially when it's my kind of comfort food. Upon entering was quickly greeted and ushered over to a table. Menus were given and drink order was taken. Opted for that Birthday Cake Lemonade ( li hing mui, strawberry lemonade), of course those famous Mochi pancakes, and that signature Loco Moco. Interior is quaint, so if you have a big party with you, def get there early as this is a brunch cafe hours.. Everything was very clean. And the customer service is on point. Now what I can say is this, if you're looking for a tourist commercial experience this isn't it. If You are looking for that feel of sitting in Aunty's kitchen to talk story then this is where you wanna be. Never once felt like customer or just a number. I felt comfort and at peace. Would most def recommend- pricing is beyond reasonable for the portions and the quality. I have already plotted by excursion back. Location is Rainbow/Robindale- ample parking.

Açaí bowl was a good size portion The drinks!!! Omg such great options

First time on Father's Day Small wait but it was worth it. Small restaurant but big portions :) Lots of good food on the menu and prices is very reasonable. They have other extras they sell like chi chi dango mochi, butter mochi, hair clips and magnetic phone pop socket in Hawaii designs. Oh and the vibe is so island style. The family/workers are so nice and very attentive We will be back!

A place with great service, affordable prices, big portions, and coffee shop level noise?! This is unheard of, especially in times like these. If you haven't tried Kanani's, definitely make an effort to. You feel at home from the servers & crew to the food. Today will not be my last visit here. Hope they get to expand this location or open more! (Almost wanted to gatekeep)

You want a proper ono Hawaiian breakfast with all the love of the islands. This is your place. You'll find local Hawaiians frequenting here for good reason. From a tasty loco moco, guava ice tea, spam musubi's, butter mochi pancakes that needs no syrup, Portuguese sausage, kalua pork Benedict, and some keiki (kids menu) plates. Rice! Yes! Shoyu! Yes! If I were still local, this would definitely be a repeat for fam and I. All the servers were so nice and attentive. The place is small so packs up quickly. Get there early or expect a wait.

Warm friendly service. Counter seating of 4 and about 10 tables (I think, don't exactly remember). Air condition and clean establishment. The waiter and waitress was helpful, friendly and courteous. We order the butter mochi hotcakes and a side of extra crispy bacon for breakfast. No syrup nor jelly needed. It was delicious with just butter and the bacon made it better. Then, for lunch (yes we returned on the same day) we ordered the loco moco with mushrooms and onions. It was delicious and the gravy was not salty. A big portion for us so yes we had leftovers albeit a very small portion (maybe 4 more bites but was too full to finish even this amount).

Noticed the raving reviews at Kanani's and we know why. The seating so well organized and wait staff are spot on. Ashley, our waitress was the best. She was so attentive, full of smiles and personable. Made us feel like we were being served at home and not forced service. She topped off our coffee at the right times and took away our plates just in time so we can prepare to have our dessert (butter mochi pancake). Down to the meal, let's just say, we ate 90% of it and took the rest back to Airbnb; it's that good. Would we come back? Absolutely! Excellent service, cozy great food, atmosphere and homey.

I usually judge Hawaiian spots by…read morethree things: the quality of their macaroni salad, the eggs on their loco moco, and their spam musubi. Frank's macaroni salad wasn't the absolute best I've had, but it was genuinely good--surprisingly better than Zippy's, a true Hawaii staple. The loco moco was excellent: the eggs were perfectly cooked, bright yellow and so delicate they looked like they'd break if you stared at them too long. You get two juicy hamburger patties and two generous scoops of rice, making it easy to stretch into two solid meals. The spam musubi was fresh and still warm (we ordered right at opening at 11 AM and picked it up by 11:30). They added a touch of teriyaki sauce between the rice and spam, which I'm usually not a fan of, but it actually worked really well here. The salty, grilled spam still shone through. The spot itself is a classic Hawaiian BBQ cafe--simple, no-frills, with a mix of sit-down tables and to-go boxes flying out the door. You could tell they had just opened but were already deep into the lunch rush. Even so, service was impressively smooth. We were quoted about 20 minutes, but I walked in, hit a short line, and was back out the door with piping-hot food in under five minutes. I'll definitely be coming back for some Hawaiian comfort food.

I'll start by saying I'm a fan of the food "court" layout at the Durango. I use the term court,…read morebut it's more than that. Access to the dining area is right off the self-park elevator. No having to navigate through the casino. This was our first time at Ai Pono Café, but it is officially on our dining-out rotation. Our food was tasty and fresh. I went with the Spicy Ahi Bowl. The rice was sticky and the tuna was not over seasoned...fresh and flavorful. Our table shared the Spicy Poke Nachos. So good. The wonton chips were light and crispy. The restaurant offers plenty of casual seating. It is well lit and airy. The staff was welcoming. Service with a smile.

His cousin couldn't stop raving about the food, so we decided to check it out for dinner last night. We ordered the Crackhead Chicken and Da "OG" Beef to share, and I also got a Spam musubi I had been craving. The musubi was HUGE and really hit the spot. We also ordered a side of Crackhead Chicken without the spice for our 1 year old, and she LOVED it. Normally she throws her food, but this time she actually ate it and kept making the cutest "yummy" faces the whole time. The moment I took my first bite of chicken, my reaction said it all. The flavor was INCREDIBLE! It had a perfect balance of sweetness from the coconut and a nice kick from the spices. Everything worked so well together, and the chicken itself was unbelievably moist and juicy. I also loved that the meat was served over the rice, allowing for all the juices to soak in. The rice was soft, flavorful, and just as satisfying. The macaroni salad was hands down my favorite compared to any Hawaiian BBQ spot I've tried. I also had a few bites of the beef, which had an amazing flavor and just the right amount of char to elevate it even more. The only thing that didn't stand out to me was the coleslaw, but we found out later that you can substitute for extra macaroni salad for an additional 50 cents. We will definitely do that next time! Overall, we had a fantastic experience and will absolutely be back whenever we are in the area. One quick note for parents: there are no high chairs available, and we even searched the entire food court. Since it's inside a casino, it's understandable, but just something to keep in mind.
