Came here the day after it opened on a Saturday evening. Our servers were fantastic. The food was delicious. My friend and I both ordered the tomato soup which was so wonderfully creamy. We also ordered the spaetzle and cheese which paired so well with the soup! My friend also ordered what looked like a great Moscow mule; she enjoyed it quite a bit. Fun ambience , good service and tasty food. We went for dinner before theater - we shared a salad, my husband had fish and chips which came with french fries and coleslaw , I had branzino which they filleted for me. The cheesecake came highly recommended for dessert and we both thought it was excellent. The manager stopped by to chat and our waiter was very attentive. My sister and I went to a Kohl's right before we went to a play on a Sunday and they have an unlimited brunch for $35 and we had the avocado toast six spicy crispy chicken thighs with mini waffles and maple syrup and the smoked brisket sliders. It was absolutely amazing! We also had the Key Largo salad with yellow beets cranberries pecans and radishes with goat cheese and it was just beautiful and delicious and then to top it off included we had the Bacardi bread pudding with caramel drizzle and we were just oh it was unbelievably delicious I highly recommend it!! The manager was very rude and not accommodating at all. We were a group of 18, 9 moms and 9 girls. We made two separate reservations because they wanted to put us together and charge us for a private party, they did say that they would put us close. However, we were in two separate rooms. The room that we were at had 2 two tables behind us that he could've put the girls there, but he said that they were already for two different parties. Guess what no one showed up and he never moved the girls by us. When we did speak to him about it, he gave us some lie that both parties canceled the reservations, not accommodating at all. If you're going in a big group and you want this to make a memorable experience for you and your children do not come here, you will probably not be seated together !! And did I mention the restaurant was empty !! We asked for his name and someone said Joe but I'm sure they were lying too!! read more

We were at the restaurant on a Pulsd deal which included unlimited drinks for 90 minutes. Unfortunately we regret having booked. We had friends in town and for a pre-theater meal we wanted to show them what the NYC brunch scene was really all about. We left thirsty, hungry and frustrated. There were items missing from the plates with no explanation, every time we asked for drinks we received a sour look and waited over 20 minutes, there was no music (never mind live music) and we generally just felt embarrassed for encouraging out friends to join us there. We brunch a lot and this was the worst experience I think we've ever had. Do not recommend. read more

Good afternoon, Before I begin, initially I had booked for December 10 and I was told 3 days before they are canceling everyone booked for that day. I'm sharing my unpleasant experience at Bacall's restaurant as I'm sitting at my table. The first unprofessional and awful experience started at the bar. The younger server with glasses was very slow and not experienced. I waited 20 minutes. When he finally got to me I asked for a regular and plain hot chocolate. He then disappeared for 5 minutes came back and started talking with an older server who took over my order. My hot chocolate was cold. I handed him a 20 and it took another 5 minutes to get my change. I got back 4 dollars. I told him why did I get back 4 instead of 13? He said there is alcohol in it. I told him I specified no alcohol. He grabbed the hot chocolate aggressively and threw my 20 back at me. Did not care or try to accommodate me in any way. We then got to our table and waited 15 minutes before someone spoke to us. She told us she didn't know we were over here. Then a guest I was with had a dirty fork with her knife. Then the waitress came back and said I forgot what you said and then didn't remember what my order was. Did you say no egg? When I said nova egg 5 times to a different girl who waited us. There was also pieces of eggshell in my friends scrambled egg. The whole experience wasn't great or will I ever want to do this again. I am offended from the scene at the bar. If I didn't come from Queens I would not have stayed. Very unorganized and disorderly. read more

Definitely a tourist trap but worth the visit if you want a Christmas dining experience in the heart of Times Square. Restaurant is beautifully decorated and Christmas music adds to the dining experience. The menu is limited and food is sub-par. Service was excellent. Will not go back again but worth a visit. Afterwards just a 5 minute walk would recommend going to Bryant Park for dessert and outdoor booths and ice skating rink. read more

Such a great dining experience on our last night in the city. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming! We dined in on Cinco de Mayo and enjoyed margarita specials as well as a margarita bike which made for great entertainment. The food was delicious and our server Sharda made our night. I actually frequently recommend this place when people ask me what to eat in Times Square since most places are chain restaurants that epitomize the ~ Welcome to America / New York ~ Times Square vibe. It's also the second location of their incredibly popular UWS location. Previously, I was here for a Yelp Elite event where they rented out the second floor aka perfect place for corporate happy hours! Their RW menu is very similar to their usual Pre Fixe menu (but a couple dollars cheaper!) Their mini monkey bread is a must for dessert!!! Can't go wrong with their Shrimp Scampi and Chicken or Steak either for the other options. But really the star is that monkey bread! It's nice that you can make reservations for up to 8 people using Yelp reservations and that the space is really large. Perfect for a group of friends or a smaller team dinner or a birthday gathering!! This is definitely a hidden gem in Times Square compared to all the other restaurants, but if I weren't looking for a place to eat in Times Square, I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to come here if that makes sense. Regardless, food is very solid and I do enjoy the fun ambiance. read more

After a positive experience dining here for brunch last year, decided to stop by for dinner before seeing a show in Times Square. Even though I noted in my reservation that I use a wheelchair, when I arrived, the staff acted as if this was the first time they saw a disabled person in a restaurant and revealed a series of egregious ADA and NYS/NYC human rights law violations that I have never experienced before from an establishment that's part of a large restaurant group. First, I was told that I couldn't use the accessible ramped entrance to get inside (main entrance has 2 steps) because management chose to use that space to store metal barricades for their night club business. When they offered to carry me and my heavy power chair up the steps, I asked them why they thought that was a better idea than just carrying the barricades out of the way -- safer for both me and the people doing the lifting, and also they shouldn't be blocking the ramp in the first place. After 10 minutes or so of barricade removal, I finally go up the ramp to the host stand only to be told that the elevator to the dining room was broken and has been broken for 10 weeks (another ADA violation)! The manager's "solution" was to seat us in the bar room, however, that is comprised solely of high tops and there were no wheelchair accessible tables (yet another ADA violation). After I pointed this out to the manager and a few minutes went by, he offered to bring a regular height table down to the bar but by that time we were already getting close to show time and chose to go to a more accessible establishment down the street. It's unfortunate that the management here feels that welcoming customers with disabilities is optional and doesn't take the effort to keep their accessible means of entrance operational. With all the great places within a few blocks where one can get the same quality or better food and drinksfor $70-100 per pop, I will not be back and taking it off the list of recommendations I often share with friends and visitors to NYC. read more

Made us speciality drinks on the house specially made for us (strawberry lemonade LOL we aren't from here surprise!) To start off, I had the rigatoni alla vodka; it was average, the chicken I ordered on the side was really good though. The salmon was tender and met expectations. Turkey was alright, mash potatoes were very cold. The tacos were okay, but there were some unexpected fatty pieces that weren't worth it. read more

Overall I did not care for this place. Went late night right before Christmas because it was one of the only places still serving food. The decor inside was very nice, definitely trendy, but inviting. As a whole, the menu was just not intriguing. Nothing yelled out "try me!" I went with the pig club. The sandwich was very underwhelming and a bit dry. The prices are very high for the food you're getting, but I'm assuming it's because that's Times Square for ya. My family was visiting from Nebraska and I had plans to have an early dinner here on the 23rd while we were there to see the tree. We got there around 4 pm when dinner service started and the bouncer tells us that there was an event that day where they were charging a $40 entrance fee per person (we were a party of 7). And yes that does not include anything. My husband even called weeks before hand to see if we can make reservations and were told that they were not taking reservations for that weekend but they failed to mention they were having an event where we had to pay for an entrance fee. There was also nothing on the website of this event. Only advertisement for the Frosty's bar which we were not going to attend since we had children in our party. I was annoyed but luckily that wasn't the only reason we were in the city. We ended up going to Sardi's right next door without a wait or an entrance fee and the food was great. read more

Came here with friends and we were surprised to find a they were hosting a comedy show! It was such an added bonus. First the interior, it is so beautiful inside, very rustic makes for great pics. We had the latkes and the hummus platter to start. The latkes were crispy perfection. The hummus platter was not the usual chickpea hummus, it came with white bean hummus, zacusca and a edamame/pistachio dip. For those who don't know zacusca is red pepper dip and it is so delicious with the challah bread they serve it with. Highly recommend! We got a family platter to share, the chopped steak. It was phenomenal, the steak was so tender and cooked to perfection. I must say for location the prices are pretty good. For drinks I had a regular Moscow mule and then had to try one of their fun cocktails the backstage margarita. If you like margaritas I think you must try this cocktail, great mixologist! Now onto the comedy show, the host Matt Sturm was great, very engaging and funny. The comedians were wonderful I was laughing the whole night! They were pretty engaging with the tables too not like some who are a bit high on their horse. We really had a wonderful time, I will definitely be back and hopefully they'll have another show. Our waiter said their website updates any upcoming show so I will keep an eye out for it. Great job, keep it coming guys! read more

DON'T GO HERE!!! In the three years I've lived here, this was the worst experience I've had at any New York restaurant. I went here this past Saturday for a special HBCU event, so most of the people at the event were of color. And they treated us DEPLORABLY. They refused to let us use the bathroom upstairs and forced me to use the bathroom in the basement, which had not been serviced. It was was filthy and looked as though it had not been cleaned in months, with sanitary napkins and toilet paper all over the floors. Meanwhile, I saw several Caucasian patrons being directed to the restroom upstairs. Is this the 1960s? And toward the end of the event, the people who work at this establishment began hearding us out like sheep. It had dropped to 20 degrees outside and they wouldn't even let us stay inside to call our Uber. And their attitudes about it were awful. I felt so degraded and disrespected. And it really put a damper on the evening. I will not be returning to this restaurant/ event venue and I advise others to do the same. read more

I was torn between a 3 and a 4 but settled on the three for one main reason: the service. The food we had was all quite good, but the service was really terrible. We arrived for a 4:30 reservation and the place was almost empty - even in that state, I regularly had to motion for servers (that were hanging out at the serving station close to our table) before they would come over to offer drinks/take orders. It filled up extremely quickly which didn't help the service. As a good representation, at the end of our meal a table next to us and our table teamed up promising to send the waiter to the other table to also get the check because if we didn't the server probably wouldn't help the other table for a long time. Also when walking to the bathroom, servers never attempted to get out of the way or avoid plowing through. The short rib meal was delicious, the shrimp curry was also very good. The meat plate was very good, and the pate was just OK. The decor is also very nice and the location is excellent for going to see a play. If you have low service standards (which is hard to do with these prices) and are seeing a play nearby and want to be close, then I think you'll enjoy your meal here. read more

Reservation for 4 at 6pm on a Thursday evening during the week before Christmas. We were seated in a very timely manner. The restaurant is not loud, very enjoyable and conducive to table conversation. Service was excellent, including a visit to our table from the manager. We all ate their famous gourmet burgers - excellent, melt-in-your-mouth ground beef, even those cooked to well-done temperature. The skinny fries were delicious, light and crispy. Dessert: we cannot recommend enough MONKEY BREAD! Yum! Best of all, this restaurant was the best value of all the Times Square Theater District venues we enjoyed. Visiting from out of town. Dined here with my girlfriend in the early evening before most of the crowd as we had plans for last minute tickets at a theater nearby. Great decor with some artifacts and photographs from New York history. Calamari and hot wings were our appetizers. The calamari was crisp and the wings were in my heat range. We were on a seafood theme, so it was Swordfish and Salmon for mains. Both well prepared. The sword was moist throughout. Dessert was churros with chocolate and some mango sorbet for contrast. Service was efficient with several team members contributing to a good experience. They knew we had a curtain and made sure we finished in time. Tables were spaced well enough for good conversation. To finish off the evening we got great seats at a good price at a nearby theatera short walk away. read more

We had their chicken soup which was one of the best I've ever had, a meat and cheese board which was packed with variety , arugula salad with roasted butternut squash -delicious , prime rib french dip and although it was more well done than I'd prefer it was moist and tender . Kids food was awful unfortunately, grilled cheese cold and cheese barely melted and a horrific attempt at a kids pizza. Right into the garbage . The fries that accompany the sandwiches were very good btw. Cocktails were spot on fabulous and the waitstaff was amazing. I was apprecIative for them being open and working . My Only other complaint was a very rude , unwelcoming hostess with a higher than all mighty attitude ! She should not helping patrons who are spending good money to eat here. Total turnoff .
