Tres Leche Pancakes - very moist and too much for two people to share. Had 1/4 and it was slightly too much

Ambiance- initially you will pass through the fancy looking dining area to get to the middle area where the brunch location is. Brunch location is brighter with the sunlight shining down on you and brighter blue decor. In my opinion, I kind of didn't think they go together, but whatever. Service was great. Very attentive and on point. Food: Tostones con masitas de puerco - these were SO salty it was like accidentally taking a sip from the salty sea. French toast - amazing! Tres leches pancakes - very moist but the flavoring was just too much. We shared between four people and even eating a fourth was too much. Vaca frita hash bowl - very good. Tasty and delicious. Ceviche de Salmon - this was also amazing. Tasted refreshing. We shared this too and now I wished it was shared only amongst two people instead of four. We didn't know it was going to be small Cortadito - sweet and strong. I didn't think it was overly sweet. Just the right amount.

So be ready for high prices, but you are getting large portions, tasty dishes, and amazing Ambiance! The place is ideal for groups for dinner. The front bar area and dining area can be loud if there is live music (you can't hear your partner). But the back dining area is beautiful!

I'm a huge fan of this place! It was a wonderful spot for high end Cuban food and the cocktails were great. The Roja vieja was perfectly cooked and my favorite dish we ordered. Highly recommend trying their dessert menu at the end. The guayabitas and flan are a must try!

    Lechon Asado.

My husband and I went here for an early dinner before a show. We did not have a reservation but they had space available in the lounge area so we were seated at a cozy booth in a dimly lit, intimate room with a bar. I ordered a strawberry refresher mojito which was truly refreshing and not too sweet, which I prefer. We shared the Barbolito appetizer (sweet plantain croquettes stuffed with pork, goat cheese, and black bean puree) and the red snapper ceviche which were both amazing! My husband had the Lechon Asado as an entree, which was roasted pig marinated in mojo, served with garlic yucca and black beans and rice on the side. The pork was moist and flavorful, and he especially enjoyed the garlic yucca. I had the Sandwich Cubano that came with yucca and plantain chips, and it was delicious! Warm, crispy, and very tasty. My husband's Guayabitas de Maria, (warm guava cobbler with vanilla gelato) was so good that upon trying a bite, I had a bit of remorse that I didn't order it myself. My dessert however, Pastelitos de Guayaba con Queso crema, was also very good. They were like small, crispy pastry dumplings filled with cream cheese and guava. The service was also very good. If you find yourself in the Theater District and like Cuban food, you should definitely try this place. I can't wait to go back!

Amazing Cuban food with Great ambiance. They have a Cuban themed bar connected. Delicious sweet plantain croquettes on a beam pure reduction. Try the frita. The Cuban style slider burger with tiny fries

My husband and I have been going to Victor's for about thirty years. It's an upscale restaurant that serves Cuban food and has a very pleasant atmosphere. The servers seem to be well trained and ensure that the diners have an enjoyable dining experience. Yesterday we went for an early dinner and ordered our usual. Everything was delicious, including the pre-dinner cocktails. Our server, Gabriel, was very attentive and competent. The host was very welcoming. We look forward to our next visit.

If you haven't had much Cuban food like us, Victor's Cafe is the place to go. For over half a century, it has been a fixture for modern Cuban cuisine in NYC since 1963. We were captivated by the unique dishes that reflect a fusion of Spanish, African, and Caribbean influences. As a family-owned restaurant, you can feel the warmth in both the service and the food. It's right in the Theater District, making it perfect for grabbing dinner and drinks before or after a Broadway show, with its inviting atmosphere and even live music. *Havana Guac $19 *Croquetas Corral $16 The Havana guac was aesthetically arranged with tropical root chips and queso frito. The chips were light and not greasy, making them a perfect match for the fresh guac. We also enjoyed the croquettes, which were filled with Berkshire ham and served with a tomato dip. *Paella de Mariscos $45 *** We got two of their signature main dishes: paella was my fav while my friend enjoyed vaca frita more. The paella was brimming with shrimps, mussels, squid and clams. I loved how fresh all the seafood tasted. My friend found it too salty while I thought it was perfectly seasoned. *Vaca Frita Al Mojo Agrio $36 * The vaca frita came with a pan of shredded beef, accompanied by a side of rice and black beans. The meat had those crispy edges that added a crunch to every bite. It was a little too dry for my liking but my friend loved it. It was a classic Cuban combo if you wanna try something new! *Tres Leches $14 *** *Flan $11 Pro tip: Save room for dessert. We both agreed the tres leche was the best we've ever had. Topped with torched meringue and berries, the sponge soaked in three milks was incredibly moist. The flan was good too with a light caramel syrup. *Cafe Cubano $5 It was rich, aromatic and sweet. I would've had more if I went for brunch or lunch :P

Beautiful restaurant, very clean, bright and airy. Super attentive and friendly servers! Food was plated beautifully and delicious. Some of the food could have bumped up the spice and flavor a bit, but it was all cooked well and fresh and tasty. Also, the coconut mojitos are killer!

I've been here a couple of times and found the food to be decent but not amazing. It's conveniently located to eat before seeing a broadway show. This most recent time my rice did not come out hot at all. It didn't taste fresh at all. The lechon was good and the waiter brought chimichurri sauce to go with it and it was a good pair. The yuca that came with it was cooked well but small portion. I do think it's over priced for the portion and quality. The atmosphere is nice and they have live music on some nights! It would be nice if they offered a happy hour but unfortunately do not.

Came here for restaurant week restaurant is very cute. They have live music. The staff was very pleasant. Service was excellent order. The ropa vieja had a slight burn taste it. The ceviche was very good. I wish they had like some sort of chips to go with that. No deal and the beans had no flavor. The rice was whatever things I didn't really had a good flavor to it

This was an amazing restaurant in the heart of the theater district in the city. My friends and I decided to go here for a birthday brunch. The food was delicious. The drinks were great. The ambiance was one point & such a vibe. The waitstaff, as well as the chef came over and entertained us, spoke to us, and gave us some great suggestions on menu options. Definitely will visit again

Of course! I have to have Flan

First time here. The place is very nice the atmosphere is pretty chill. I came during restaurant week and their prefix menu is very limited so keep that in mind. Also be prepared to pay more since you are dining in downtown area. The restaurant is conveniently located near the E-C subway station and also the orange lines on 6th avenue.

Pro Tip: The Cubano Coffee (with whipped sugar) is more like a sweetened espresso. Espresso size, despite being $5+. Yes, it's NYC, meaning prices will be higher no matter the quality. The interior is quite beautiful, with a very natural appeal. While the plants are fake, you do feel like your somewhere other than the city. The menu offers a great variety of Cuban dishes, withost dishes offering a side of rice and beans. The menu reads well! Our mouths were watering. However, I wouldn't say that the actual tastes matched what we expected. Both the lechón asado and tostones con puerco were mostly bland and dry; the arroz con pollo had very little chicken; lastly, we had two orders of camarones enchilados and they awkwardly came out with different portions...despite charged the same price. Staff was attentive.

We wanted to have after-dinner cocktails in a chill space, so we searched on our phones & saw Paradise Lost address via Google. We proceeded to walk down & was unable to find the establishment due to their being no front sign. After walking back & forth a few times, we saw another group walking towards the door & they confirmed the place. We walked inside the front door pressed a "doorbell" & lo & behold we gained entry after the previous group went inside. Definitely an incognito entrance. Once inside that door there is someone to greet you, & take your information. There is a forest/ grass/ jungle-looking foyer/ hallway we walked down to get to the next door. Before we knew it, we were near the "Paradise Lost No Vacancy" neon sign w/ an arrow pointing towards the snake-shaped knob door. It gets opened & a supercool speakeasy awaits.... Paradise Lost has mixed style table / seating arrangements throughout the place. A bar seating section, booth-style seating area, lounge- style seating area, etc. We got there a little after 7pm, so the afterwork crowd was in full swing. Paradise Lost has interesting atmosphere. At times a Gothic / Medieval Vibe, meets place w/ shipwreck decor, meets eleganct /club vibe w/ beautiful ceiling lighting, etc. Music played in the background. Staff are friendly, energetic, & attentive. We were pleasantly overwhelmed w/ the vast selection of tiki cocktails that were on the menu. Paradise Lost also have an intimate selection of snacks/ food menu items. This included Popcorn, Tater Tots, Devilled Eggs Rangoon Dip, etc. We ordered some cocktails served in unique tiki mugs & a bucket of popcorn to munch on w/ our drinks. The popcorn is flavored w/ Sea Buckthorn & Browm Butter, which gave it an special flavor profile. Our cocktails were well-prepared & nice & strong. Paradise Lost has individual unisex bathroom stalls & a communal vanity & sink area. The bathroom stalls have spooky voices coming from a speaker as you use the bathroom. I was so humorously taken aback, it had me laughing when I came out...Definitely a different thing to experience in the bathroom - lol. Before we left we watched one of the bartenders do a cocktail "fire" presentation for some patrons in a booth seated area. Wow.... Paradise Lost accepts walk-ins only, no reservations. Paradise Lost accepts groups of 8 or less, unless you are requesting to book the space for a private event. Ages 21+ paradiselost.nyc @paradiselostnyc Paradise Lost is open everyday - 5pm-2am.

Dim lighting, plush seating, rich wood + wallpaper details, and that lounge-library vibe make the place feel like a secret hideout right in the middle of Midtown. It's moody, cozy, and effortlessly intimate -- perfect for a date night, a chill catch-up, or just a night out with good drinks. Nice service, too! However: be ready for the price tag. The cocktails are absolutely beautiful -- well crafted, creative, and flavorful -- but each one will remind you that you're not exactly paying dive-bar prices.
