We were in a hunt for a last minute restaurant for dinner and this place came up highly reviewed. Reservations were simple and easy online. We even got a text message confirmation beforehand. It is nestled in West Hollywood in a downtown area. There's street parking but also garage parking close by pretty inexpensive. I think we paid 2 dollars for 2 hours! I recommend going to 440 garage close by. We walk over and it's situated in a beautiful corner with lovely vines and plants all over! It's quite a beauty to see. Next we go inside and the ambiance is quaint. We got a nice table and our server was super friendly and nice. I got a super great vibe from the staff that they were welcoming, friendly and generally wanted to be there! Next, the food. SO MANY OPTIONS! It is super kid friendly. They have menus with crayons for kids to draw. Kids menu is pretty decent - they offer salmon as a choice and my kids loved that! The side of veggies is a great touch too. The menu is long and extensive but I bet everything tastes delicious. Some highlights were -watermelon salad -beet salad (yum that pureed chèvre is stellar!) -olives and almonds (spicy but tasty!) -pork belly -brussel sprouts -chicken sliders (yum) I LOVED that we got small portions and got to try different things! This restaurant offers small shareable plate dishes. I ordered the skirt steak, Sea bass, brussels sprouts, roasted cauliflower, roasted broccoli and shrimp, ceviche. All of the dishes had good flavor and were seasoned well. Unfortunately, I did find the brussel sprouts extremely dry and difficult to chew. I did bring this issue to the attention of Richard, (who I believe was the manage). He apologized and told me he would remove the item from my check which, he did. WOW! This restaurant has surprised me in the best way possible! Ambiance: I love the Italian/Mediterranean inspired furnishing throughout the place. Very romantic mood. Candle light was on every table and the whole restaurant had a warm lighting. Great place for a trendy casual date-night. I went with my best friend and we still had a great time. The restroom was really nice. The stone sink, the aromatic herbal essential oils, and the hand soap was absolutely phenomenal. Their soaps and candles are available for purchase. Food: Absolutely incredible. We got the burrata, Asian pear pizza, and the Shawarma tacos. Everything tasted divine. You can tell they use quality ingredients, especially their cheeses. Came here for an early dinner on Sunday, and there was no wait. My friend and I split the Tuscan kale salad ($14), oyster mushroom ($16), and sabich ($17). I got the Moroccan cigars ($14) for myself, and she got the seabass ($19). My fave was the Moroccan cigars. It was basically like a spring roll with lamb and chicken inside. The side sauce was too spicy for me though. I also enjoyed the kale salad - super refreshing. The oyster mushroom dish was interesting - the spices covered the mushroom taste, so it kinda tasted like chewy chicken. The sabich was also interesting - there was a hard boiled egg, eggplant, potatoes, tomatoes on top of a pita. It was fun to try these different dishes and different flavors. I came to this restaurant for dinner through Entrepreneur Dinner Club on a Tuesday night. The restaurant is not huge so it was a bit cramped in there because I think there were four groups that day. It was definitely bustling with energy and good vibes. The waiter took a little bit of time to get to us, I think, because it was so busy. Once he took our order, he was super attentive and on top of it and the food started coming out really quickly. Now they will tell you that the dishes are tapas style but as you can see from the pictures, they're actually maybe two to three times what tapas style really is. Just be mindful of that. I ordered four dishes thinking that it was going to be small plates and it actually turned out to be like regular-sized plates of food. I definitely ended up taking a bunch of stuff home. However every single thing that I ordered was really good and that was the hard part because I wanted to eat all of it but I also didn't want to be a fatty especially in front of new people. My most favorite dish was the broccoli. It was so well flavored and perfectly cooked. My next favorite dish was the oyster mushroom dish. I thought it was going to be oyster mushroom kebabs but it actually turned out to be like an oyster mushroom flatbread. The oyster mushroom was seasoned so well that it actually looked like meat and had to use a flashlight to really look closely at it. When I bit into it it was definitely an oyster mushroom and tasted so good. My next favorite dish was the beets. I got it without the cream. I also got the broccoli without the dairy as well. The beets were really fresh and delicious. I also got the bread, which I didn't expect to be as good as it was especially with that garlic oil that was so good. The bread was fresh and warm so I would definitely get that again. My least favorite dish is actually the sea bass. That's not to say that it was nasty or anything but I feel like the skin could have been crispier throughout. The skin was only crispy on the thinner end of the fish and not really on the wider end of the fish. The sea bass wasn't really well flavored in my opinion. The corn and the shishito peppers were definitely a really nice touch to the dish so I appreciated that. I also really liked that it had those tomatoes in there. This is definitely one of those places that can get away with selling you bad food and market it as bougie. However, the atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice. The bathroom was really clean and well decorated, and the staff outside were very welcoming and friendly. Each person of your party will most likely have to order 2-3 dishes for themselves to be completely full after eating. The portion sizes are also pretty small so keep that in mind. The dishes seem cheap, but due to how many you have to order to feel full, the price adds up quickly! Expect about $30 per head. Our favorites were the mac and cheese and the brussels sprouts. And the drinks were also top notch. 1. Asian pear and Brie pizza: excellent. The leftovers were also just as exceptional. Flat bread pizza (6 small thin slices) topped with guava fromage, arugula, slices of Asian pears for the slight crunch and sweetness. Fantastic. Just order 2. Shawarma tacos: Smokey chicken with cabbage and pickled onions. Very good. 3. When Bacari opened in the valley, I was intrigued to see how it compares to the location in Beverly Hills. What better way to find out than a brunch resy for Mother's Day. This location is at the corner of Brighton Way and N Camden Drive. They only do valet for dinner so it's going to be street parking but there's a parking structure around the corner next to Marea. They were definitely busy given it's Sunday and on Mother's Day but our server made sure we were taken care of. If you're not familiar, Bacari does Mediterranean Small Plates family style. For a party of 4, we got 6 plates and it was more than enough. The Beverly Hills location is a definitely a vibe and I recommend to sit outside especially if going for brunch. My first time here my friend ate here last time she went had a great experience. The food was good she said , we had the lamb hummus and crispy salmon and watermelon salad . I did like the salmon dish was a bit small serving for the price but definitely cooked perfectly. A couple sat adjacent to us . Have the same server and he was pretty welcoming to this couple especially when he found out that they all live in the same area in the east cost . The couple placed their order and the same server minutes after came to their table with a bowl of Mac and Cheese and said " I'm giving you this Mac and Cheese for free because I like you" . The couple said " you didn't have to do that , thank you " . The server then again repeated " I like you guys " . My friend and I looked at each other, our jaws dropped and said " I guess he does not like us " we kinda laughed about it but that was truly we were in shock of how rude and disrespectful that was , saying that out loud in front of us . We felt like he favor the couple given their race and affinity. My friend and I didn't want to make a seen paid our bill and left . eventually we called the manager of the restaurant and told her about our experience. My friend and I felt racism and discrimination first hand right there , both paying customers treated differently because of our color and ethnicity. i went here for my birthday last night and let me tell you, i had a freaking TIME bacari is such a beautiful place. i love the ambiance, the interior, and all the whimsical decor around the restaurant. i literally love coming here for pictures, and i'm so glad i got to celebrate my birthday here and take photos with all my friends we came for the late night open bar, so we had the full 90 minutes. we got there around 9:15 pm and stayed until closing, and even though it was late, the service was still really nice. they kept making sure we had our drinks throughout the night, which i appreciated we also ordered some pizzas for the table and some baguettes to soak up the alcohol while we were drinking, and both were really good and honestly very necessary lol. i'd definitely recommend getting at least the bread if you come for the open bar. i loved the roasted garlic they put inside so much that i literally ate the whole clove anyways, i had such a great time. thank you guys so much for having me and my friends i can't wait to come back to bacari read more

We were wanting to eat from the dine LA menu but it wasn't very exciting so we decided to choose dishes from the regular menu. I had the Little Gem Salad and chicken sliders. Everything was well seasoned and overall tasty. For the cocktail, I had the Love Letter. This was a standout drink! It's a whiskey based cocktail but the passionfruit gave it a fruity touch. Hands down, this is the BEST Bacari I have ever been to! None of the other locations come close to having such an amazing staff as this Beverly Hills location. Our waitress, Moe, was kind, patient, and honestly one of the sweetest people ever! She spoke so highly about how much she loves working there and how great her manager, Leah, is. Moe never missed a beat -- she was attentive, reliable, and always responsive to our needs. Hearing an employee genuinely praise their work environment is rare, especially in the restaurant industry! Now, Leah was incredible! I had no idea she was the manager because she worked right alongside the team with such humility. She personally walked us to our table and had the warmest, most welcoming demeanor. She was friendly, attentive, and accommodating to everyone's needs. I also want to mention the hostess -- I didn't catch her name, but she was a very kind young lady as well. Our waitress Janine, was AMAZING!!! She was fun and bubbly and was super fast. The food was good, I ordered some other dishes but forgot to take pictures. I wouldn't say food is amazingly different, it's good for what it is. Price wise it keeps up with the neighborhood. Plates go $15-$30 a plate, it's tapas style so "personally think" you need at least 3-4 plates for two poeple. We ordered a bottle of Sancerre but it was a bit more sour than I'm used to but still decent. All in all, location is good. It seems the other reviews complain about service but for me our experience with our server (Janine) was AMAZING. Ambiance, is cute and tucked away in a side street off the main Beverly Hills street. We started our day in Beverly Hills with brunch, eager to try this Bacari location. Let me first start with parking -- It's BH so unless the stars align for you on a busy weekend to snag nearby street parking, you'll have to go to a structure. We opted for the one closest to Bacari, which was at the higher price point ($3.95/15 mins with a daily max of $30.80). The structure was modern, clean, temperature controlled and staffed by a super-friendly, helpful valet guy. We were spending the day, so we knew we would be paying the max. Now for Bacari BH -- We received a text from Connor at 10am to confirm our reservation and to let us know that they would do their best to help should we happen to run late. That was nice. We arrived on time and were seated at a table just inside of the patio. It was a perfect central spot to enjoy the cool breeze, while away enough from direct sunlight, the busy sidewalk and traffic noise. We ordered our favorites -- Egg Pizza, Lamb Hummus (+extra pita) and Crab Cake. We always like to try something new, so our daughter chose the Tripoline Pasta. For dessert -- Bread Pudding (the husband's favorite) and Pistachio Crèmeschnitte (first time). Our usuals were as expected -- SO GOOD and satisfying! The Tripoline Pasta was delicious! The homemade pasta was tender and covered in that amazing sauce. We used the rest of our pita to scrape every bit of it. The Pistachio Crèmeschnitte was tasty enough, but not sure if we would order it again. The Bread Pudding however -- absolutely perfect at this location! (I still miss the Feta Filo -- PLEASE bring it back!) Service was great from the entire team. Our items were paced out nicely, with dirty dishes cleared and drinks refilled when needed. I chose this location intentionally because it's walking distance to Jeni's, where I planned to get dessert. It's not actually tapas though since the dishes are all American, not Spanish, but they're all small plates. There were awkward moments when we'd order dishes like the scallop medallions and it would only have 3 bites on there when we have 5 people on the table. Service was great, as there was someone (Connor) assigned to you that you can text for any special requests or changes to the reservation on the day of. We'd originally reserved for 3 people, but changed it to 5 people last minute and they were very accommodating so 5 stars for service. Now, onto the food: For appetizers, we ordered the Salatim plate (5/5) and the lamb hummus (4/5). The pita is the warmest / fluffiest and to die for. You get two options from the shareable plates and one dessert. An amazing deal for $35 We shared the following items: Brussels sprouts Corn Broccoli Pasta Salmon Pork chops First off, thank god I said to bring the dishes out as they became ready instead of having them dropped off at the same time. We basically got a dish every maybe 5 or so minutes. This gave us the perfect amount of time to get a serving transferred from the bowl/plate to our smaller plate. By the time we got our bites in, we had a few minutes to digest then another plate would get dropped off. Every dish was exceptional. It kept getting better which was evident by how empty each plate/bowl was by the time it was collected from our table. We were proper full by the time the last dish, the salmon, was dropped off. My personal favorite was the elote. The balance of flavors was 10/10. It had just the right amount of spice. The chops was also fuego. The vibe outside was fun. I kept telling my nieces. Parking was definitely the trickiest part of the night. After circling a few times and finally snagging a spot a little farther away, we walked over. The moment we stepped onto the patio, it was worth it. I've been to their other location, but this one by far is the cutest. The space feels warm and inviting with soft string lights, plants tucked in every corner, and a relaxed energy that makes you want to linger. Our waitress was so kind and made great recommendations. We started with the Bacari fries topped with the chef's BCN sauce and a fried egg. They were perfectly crispy, the sauce was rich and flavorful, and the egg brought everything together in the best way. The salmon was the star of the night--beautifully pan-seared with a crunchy walnut crust that gave way to perfectly tender fish. The tomato rouille added a nice brightness, and the garlic herb bulgar rounded out the plate. Every bite felt balanced and fresh. The sides were just as memorable. The cauliflower had a smoky kick from the chipotle sauce and a deep caramelized flavor. The Brussels sprouts with pomegranate molasses had a sweet-tart glaze that kept me going back for more, and the julienne beets added a fresh pop of color and crunch. They are so extremely friendly, and so it's a blend of hipness and warmth and deliciousness, at a reasonable price, in a neighborhood where that combo is scarce! I had the Seabass again because it is delicious. My friend and I also tried the brussels sprouts which were super tasty, as well as the cauliflower, which is amazing (I thought about getting it last time I came but we were ordering too many other things!). Madison was a great server and let me try two different wines, both the Freya Chardonnay and the house rosé were delicious but I picked the former. Got to check out Bacari the other day and I had a good experience, Dennis the bartender was amazing, very attentive and sweet. Our cocktails were beautiful and perfectly balanced. We also had some snacks and the food was delicious. I tried the mac and cheese, the Asian pear and Brie pizza, the glazed pork belly (which, in my opinion, I thought, the glaze was just a tad strong but the lemons helped and it was still really good, and I also tried the lamb hummus which I was surprised I liked as much as I did. The restaurant is really cozy and cute inside, date like vibes. As for the parking, it can be a little difficult since there is only metered parking or a parking structure in the area. I'm still curious about the rest of the menu because there were still a lot of things that sounded interesting so if not this one I'll def be checking out another Bacari at some point. read more

We had a gathering of old friends there. The drinks were mediocre and bartenders were not too nice for working on tips. We were told constantly to move out of the way - in the bar area!- since they had a table to seat people to eat dinner. Why would you have tables right where people need to stand to drink at the Bar so close! The experience was eh. read more

The dishes were fantastic. It's my first time trying this location (I've been to the Silverlake flagship). Food was amazing and the ambiance was neat. Took my kiddos with me and they enjoyed their meal. Service was good too - the team knew what they were doing and even with seating in private nooks, you weren't missed. read more

I'm really disappointed with my experience at Bacari Beverly Hills on Friday night. My boyfriend and I chose to celebrate the fact that I had just finished my nursing term and passed, so it was supposed to be a special night. We had a reservation for 9:15 PM and arrived at 9:22 PM. After checking in, we still waited about 25 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. While delays can happen, things only got worse from there. Once seated, our server never introduced himself, and we didn't even know who our server was until he eventually came to take our order. After ordering, we waited over 40 minutes for our food to arrive. Throughout the meal, service was extremely slow and inattentive. No one checked in on us, asked if we wanted another round of drinks, or offered additional food. When we did want another drink, our server was nowhere to be found. I eventually had to get up from the table and look for him myself. By the time he came over, I was so frustrated that all I could ask for was boxes and the check. What made the experience even more disappointing was that this was supposed to be a celebration dinner, and instead we spent most of the evening waiting. We even noticed another guest in front of us complaining about the service, but we tried to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt. I've been to bacari before and have always enjoyed it, which is why this experience was so surprising. Unfortunately, the combination of the delayed seating, long food wait times, and lack of service left a bad taste in my mouth. Love love love you will love everything you eat. Good thing you can share everything because you will want to order many options. We came for mothers day brunch. Ordered Sea Bass, Beet Gnocchi, Pear & Brie Pizza, Chilequiles, and a tuscan kale salad unpictured. Between 3 people, 5 items was plenty. With a cocktail each. Reservations in advance is a good idea as its good area. There is a parking garage 1 block away so you don't have to deal with street parking. read more

We had a spectacular waiter; she was lovely and energetic. She kindly walked us through the menu and suggested items for us. I have been here before and the food is always great. That standout item for me was the Love Letter drink. It is a fruity whiskey-based cocktail, and I had to stop myself from getting a third. I recommend coming here with friends. read more
