Ordered takeout here and was a bit disappointed. I think we'll have to try in store for a better experience. The food was packaged well but lacked flavor and just didn't taste fresh. The pizza was excellent. I got a daily special which included a two topping slice of pizza, salad and drink. I chose the pepperoni jalapeño and it was very good. The salad was really fresh. My daughter got the spaghetti and she ate it all the guy helping us behind the counter Was amazing and had really really good customer service skills. read more

If you had to get two pies, the GOAT CHEESE pizza with: MARINATED ROMA & SUN-DRIED TOMATOES, GRILLED CHICKEN, FRESH GARLIC, SPINACH & GOAT CHEESE and any meaty pizza would be a hit. I came in sunday noon and you can customize the pizza how you want. The crust was great, crispy. Sauce was decent, the weak point would be the cheese. Highly rec the Goat Cheese, for a signature slice it was ~$4 it was light and refreshing to eat. Pair it with something a little more greasy like pepperoni or sausage and your set! My Fiancé and I have been here a few times now and each time has been great. Tonight we ended up calling in when they were super busy and going in to pick up our order 20 minutes before they were supposed to close and they were still packed and our order was still ready on time. Came here twice. If you're from there northeast, you know exactly what this is; a local pizzeria. There's several in every town, and they're basically all the same. Thing is, they're very hard to find here in Texas. The pizza is as close to NY/NJ as I've had around here; thin and crispy, with the crust having just the right amount of chew. Very simple menu, as it should be. The subs are good because of the bread, which is a main thing. Could use some more sauce in the subs and entrees, but the people are nice and the pizza is top notch. Probably my family's main pizza fix spot for a minute. read more

This is A hole in the wall. This is definitely New York, Carrollton. They even have the Babe on the wall. They will serve you New York pies like Dave Righdetti on the mound. This joint has been here for a while but I just found it. Call ahead or show up and you will get serious New York service without the cuss words. Do not forget the cheesecake. Got the lunch special & was exactly what I was hoping for. Great crust. Not overly cheesy. Good ratio of bread, sauce, & cheese. Cheese quality was not bad. Perfect level of saltiness. I'd def go back! Runner up if I could come here is Joe's on Parker. If I had more $$ to drop, I'd go to PieTap or Dough. That just places context of alternatives. Been a long time since I had Grimaldi's so I can't compare it. read more

Hmmm, just not that impressed. Pizza, underwhelming taste and not only like warm. Was really wanting a good sub which is why O sought them out. Meatball and Parmigiana sub.... well mostly just meatballs because all the parmigiana was stuck to the foil. I'm from NYC so in my time down south, I've grown accustomed to hearing Dallas pizzerias marketing themselves as NY-style pizza. Bacci's is no exception, and for the most part, they're correct. The pizza is thin and droopy like a NY slice, but whereas the STYLE is accurate, the QUALITY doesn't really compare to even an average NY pizza place. The pizza here was pretty flavorless. The cheese, sauce and crust were all pretty MEH. Making matters worse, the delivery man took about 10-15 minutes to find me as I stood outside the mall exit and ran through Dillard's a few times trying to track him down. That probably resulted in the pizza being closer to room temperature than piping hot and may have contributed to the overall meh-ness. Despite me calling to confirm my online order and asking for plates and napkins, they gave me absolutely nothing but the pizzas and the cheesy bread. They did, however, cut the pie into 16 slices for our cast party so good to know I wasn't entirely ignored. In any event, anyone giving this place 5 stars is a man or woman of questionable taste but anyone giving them 1 star is also slightly off their rocker. It's not great pizza by any stretch but it's certainly not bad pizza. read more

It sure is a shame. We had gone for years, because it was so close to home, after discovering the free beer at the Addison location. The owner is so friendly and passionate, that he gives the place an authentic New York feel. Unfortunately, we have not seen him at all lately, and he must have taken the quality with him, because it felt more like the replica pictures trying too hard to be NYC, turning the place into more of a "Botched-i's." Here's what was wrong: 1) The iced tea tasted strange, like it had lemon already, regardless if you wanted it. 2) It took 40 minutes to get our pizza, and there were only one or two families ahead of us. 3) Then, when we got the LARGE pizza, the half works and half pepperoni felt really lacking. The "works" was not over half the pizza, and the pepperoni had a average of three per LARGE slice. The crust was good, but it was just a sad reminder of what used to be. 4) Luckily, we had salads to tide us over, but they had one cucumber and one tomato. The rest was lettuce. I had to move the bowl to another table for them to pick it up. 5) The worst part was all this was (3 drinks, 2 salads and a large "works" pizza) was over $30. The only benefit is the lack of tip. There are too many places in DFW to go to eat for a better value. They are skimping to save money, and it shows. We'll never be back. If you want better value in a neighborhood Italian place, I suggest Italian Villa at Hebron and Old Denton. The pizzas are far better and they have a daily (weekends included) lunch special for $6.95 or $7.95, with a salad and drink included. read more

This place opened a couple of months ago and is our new favorite for pizza and pasta. We tried the calzone, pizza, and spaghetti with meatballs. Each was delicious, and ready quickly. The double decker meat pizza is unique and really good. Service was very good. There is a keg of Bud Light next to the fountain drinks that is free. Nice touch for a BYOB place. I work nearby and was glad to have missed the work lunch crowd after 1pm yesterday. The staff was friendly & accommodating. There were only a few other customers. The restaurant was quiet & noticeably clean. We wanted pizza 10in that wasn't on the regular menu - we didn't mind paying full price but wanted individual pizzas because we like different toppings. They were able to make this happen with no problem. We split a 1/2 Greek salad with house dressing and I ordered my pizza with pepperoni, beef & olive. I ordered a pepperoni pizza wheel, a slice of everything and I think pepperoni and sausage. They were heated quickly and boxed to go. I also got a slice of plain cheesecake. It was great. When I got home, the pizza wheel was still piping hot, as it was wrapped in foil. The slices were very warm. I was disappointed because I did not taste garlic, oregano, salt, basil or much flavor aside from the actual toppings. Is that traditional in a New York pizza? The cheese was chewy, which was great, and the crust was crispy. I will go back again, because they service was great, and I want to try the pastas. I don't think I'll try the pizza again though. The price was very competitive.

Back then, everything was a la carte. I could order one or two slices and a drink. Now, they have a combo pricing: a slice, a salad, and a drink. The salad options are House or Caesar. I chose the Caesar salad. At first glance, it seemed like a decent portion. But when I looked closer, I realized it was just a single layer of lettuce. I found it easier to scoop the leaves with the fork tines than to spike it. I would have preferred saving a few dollars and skipping the salad altogether. On the positive side, the time I spent eating the salad would have been spent drinking the fountain soda. When the pepperoni slice arrived, a generous amount of my favorite Stubborn Agave Vanilla Cream Soda was still remaining in my cup. The pizza slice was just as big as before. Unlike typical New York-style pizza, the crust was brittle and cracked when I folded it. Also, the cooking process prevented grease from seeping onto the paper lining. As a result, the slice itself was a bit dry, which is not my preferred style.
