Before you venture further into my review, be mindful I am a pizza snob. I grew up in Brooklyn NY and have lived most of my life in the NY metropolitan area. First off, they're very nice here, you order at the counter, get your own drinks and silverware and the server brings you the meal. The Caesar salad was very good. The pizza.....it was okay. We had a pizza with pepperoni, onion and mushrooms. The pepperoni could have had a little more zing, the sauce could have had a little something more, perhaps garlic or basil. The crust, the crust did not have the kind of chewiness I expect from pizza. It was cooked well, had the right crunch on the bottom, but the texture was not quite right. I've visited Bacco on several occasions, always ordered cheese pizza. On this visit, I decided to venture out and try something new. After browsing the menu, I decided on a cheesesteak w/provolone - everything, no hots. Service was fast and friendly. After a few minutes, my order was ready for consumption. Sadly, it didn't quite meet expectations. The bread was soft, but soggy from meat juice. Tomatoes were mushy and the lettuce was a bit wilted. Cheese was sparse. Review is about 3 weeks overdue, Place have great review so I figured I was in for good pizza, was I wrong or a lot of ppl just have really bad taste, pizza was mediocre at best, sauce was bland & they were really stingy with it, then there was just an overall weird energy as if I was in the wrong side of town like a bad movie western movie & and I was the outsider no one knew, definitely not 3 star & I went with high expectations but maybe that's just the New Yorker in me. Being out all afternoon, we were hot and tired. We ordered quickly and found seating. Lord of large booths and separate dining tables - def made the most of the space. While waiting for our food, I was impressed to see how quickly they went through pizza boxes, towering to the ceiling, walking them into the kitchen. Our food arrived not as requested, but it was quickly remediated. I understand management can't catch everything, everytime, but it was recognized and corrected. Ordered a pie from here last week. As I wanted to try somewhere new, I seen the reviews and figured this could be a good place. You can order off the website, which leads you to DoorDash. I ordered a 16 inch meat lovers pie. With DoorDash fees and tip it came to roughly $37. Ordering a pie like that with DoorDash seems pretty pricy. Although, it got to us quickly and still hot. I opened the box and was not disappointed. Pie looked good, the crust was amazing. The only odd thing was they cut it into really thin slices instead of a traditional 8. But nonetheless it was really good. And I do not typically enjoy pepperoni on pizza, my boyfriend requested it so I went with it. 10/10 will be ordering again! We've visited Bacco Pizzeria a few times now. Great to see Bacco's sister location, and we know and have enjoyed Bacco. I happened to visit the first Friday they opened and it was very busy. Good problem to have but It took about an hour for our pickup order so some of our food (hot sandwiches) unfortunately had been prepared and sitting for a bit as they were waiting to merge with our pizza order. We ordered the mozzarella logs/sticks as a starter and these were a hit. Crispy Chicken BLT and Diablo Cheesesteak were very good and, again, would have been excellent if we didn't have the delay. Really enjoyed the Prosciutto/Mozarella Sub. For pizza, it was Pepperoni/Sausage and one of their specialty pizzas-Sausage Boom Boom-smoked Mozarella, sausage, broccoli rabe & spicy Boom Boom drizzle-our favorite! That said, it is no longer on the menu. Please bring it back! They rotate their speciality pizzas for their slices offering so we've tried a few. Short Rib, Fradiavola, Stuffed Meat Pie and Chicken Ranch are excellent. Medium sized/cozy dining area and service has been upbeat and engaged on all of our visits. read more

Although the food was very good, I was turned off from the entire experience Saturday night. We frequent this restaurant often and we had a reservation. However, when we arrived, they said they could only give us a table in the bar area. We really wanted the dining room side and we watched 2 other parties get dining room tables right ahead of us without even having reservations. The worse part of the experience was we ordered dinner and drinks and were enjoying our dinner when the server told us that we would have to leave in the next 5 minutes because another party needed our seats! We had not decided on dessert yet and we were only there a little over an hour! Baccos had been a regular dining spot for us, but it would take a lot for us to go there again. This type of customer treatment should never occur in an upscale restaurant! Do better! read more

Wonderful location with plenty of parking out front. You are greeted at the door and get a great view of the many selections this place has to offer. My margarita and white garlicky pizza slices were huge and flavorful my favorite was the garlicky it has enough for any garlic lover. Clean spacious bathrooms are a plus. Establishment is located in a shopping center with ample parking. Staff are courteous and greet you as you walk in. They are also very efficient and professional. Restaurant is super clean and well stocked. Food is fresh and cooked to order. Pizza has a great sauce to cheese to toppings ratio which is perfect. I wouldn't get the mozz logs again as the cheese within the logs was SUPER thick and nearly impossible to get down. Not pictured is the Nutella Knots we took to-go- they were divine. The customer service here is top notch. I ordered online for pickup and instead of using the Bacco website I just wend to the online menu. I didn't realize that it took me to the grub hub site(which I found out was 30% higher in price). Bacco has put all the other Sub Shops on notice. The service, price and quality blew me away and I have to admit this restaurant will be a weekly lunch stop for me going forward. I've been looking for this variety of food choices from a lunch spot. My wife got the cheese steak and it could have used more meat but the roll and quality were great. This spot is an extension of the restaurant. The staff are very friendly and nice. Even if you're ordering take out, they are super helpful in giving you the time and space you need for ordering. By the slice pizza is just what they have on hand. Speciality pizza they'll make anything that's in their menu and add on toppings as you like. They've got salads and stuff as well, but the pizza is the best part. They have a great variety of veggies and a vegan pizza as well. It's a typical pizza bar inside, with booths and bar style seating along the window. Tons of parking since inside the little shopping strip. read more

Yes!! This new spot is on fire! You order at the counter and then can take out or eat in. I was surprised to see that they sell slices and pies. You can even split a pie between two specialty pizzas!! We ordered a meatball sub - the meatballs are great. The bread was good and fresh. The sandwich was light on sauce. We asked for a side of marinara, poured it on, and it was excellent. We ordered a standard 1/2 cheese and 1/2 pepperoni pizza. They do not skimp on the pepperoni. We also ordered a 1/2 buffalo chicken and 1/2 white garlic pizza. The white pizza was incredible. Garlicky with a nice helping of ricotta on top. Superb flavor. They also sell wine and beer along with coke products. When filling your cup (if eating in) be sure to grab utensils, napkins, and side plates. They do not bring plates or utensils to you when they serve you your order. You will also need to grab your own container or box to pack up your leftovers. I love that because you can easily pack up anything that is left and leave without needing to wait on a server. It's a nice sitting area as well for a quick family meal after sports. I highly recommend dinner out take out from this location. The pizza was some of the best in the area and the prices were reasonable. read more

We have been going to Bacco Pizza pretty much every week since it opened and we love it. I get the Stromboli bites when I'm feeling in the mood for comfort food and wanna be bad. The Italian sub has good bread, great crunch, delicious flavor and is very generous. All the pizza slices are tempting but we now (after trying all of them) stick to caprese, cheese, garlicky, stuffed meat and pepperoni. The Nutella dessert should be illegal. The salads are very hearty. The only thing I didn't like 120% was the chicken parm.... but I think I'm just partial to the one down the street. Love Bacco Pizzeria. read more

These guys are so amazing I'm originally from Baltimore I was picking up an order from Abingdon and I decided to stop in just for a slice of pizza what they were closing and the guy said to me would you want a whole pizza so he literally gave me a whole pizza and because I was inquiring if a certain Pizza that I was looking at was chicken and barbecue Pizza because it looks so good he gave me almost another whole pizza like I said these guys are amazing I think the owner name is Johnny and the manager that gave me the pizza name was Chris these guys have the most amazing backstory this is my second review I'm leaving I left another review on another website I just don't remember the name of it but their level of generosity was so amazing and their backstory was so cool Johnny and Chris been cooking together since Chris was 13 so they know each other a long time basically like family these guys remind me of a old time Italian Pizzeria the way they are Hospitality was and I really believe that we should support more restaurants like this kindness goes a long way read more

Tried this pizza for the first time tonight and it was pretty average in my opinion the crust doesn't really have a ton of flavor and it's too thin for my liking. I travelled 6 hours and was tired and hungry. Once I read a review and saw pickle pizza on the menu I was set. So glad I was not disappointed. The employees were all friendly and helpful and seemed happy to work here. There is eat in, carry out and delivery available, as well as catering. We went with the 2 slice and drink special and each slice was delicious in its own way. The salads and platters people were getting also looked really good. So glad this is close to our hotel we will be back again. We may be taking pizza home with us to WV. Sorry we didn't try the desserts but we were stuffed. read more
