I had the privilege of first hearing Chef Bachour give a lecture at the Panama Gastronómica symposium where he shared the stage with other culinary greats from Latin America such as Virgilio Martinez, Cuquita Arias, Pedro Miguel Schiafino, Mario Castrellón among others. I remember asking him during the Q&A what is his inspiration, and he replied, "the colors I see in the streets of Miami." Wow, I was blown away. Years later, I find myself living in Miami, and I cannot think of a better place that illustrates not only what the new Miami truly is, but what it also aspires to be. With the LatAm headquarteres for major lifestyle arbiters like Apple, Airbnb, Lyft and Spotify, the city has to cater to an entirely different mindset. And Bachour really captures this particular moment. The industrial chic interior already announces that this is not your typical, cutesy, hobbyist pastry shop from a Cake Boss fan. A true departure from its old location, this is a serious temple to the marvelous yet challenging art of baking. I ordered the veggie burger because I thought this would be the least appealing item for a pastry chef, and if they got this right, they'd probably get everything else right. The texture of the patty, the perfectly soft bun and the fresh garnishes were all on point. I also tried an amazing coconut macaroon, as well as the best Kouign Aman this side of the Atlantic (and Mississippi for that matter). I like it when it's a little quieter on weekdays because it has more patrons who are serious about the food, and less of those who go because it's trendy. I will do my part to frequent this place regularly so it doesn't fade away like the gold leafing on their desserts, and I hope other people do so too. read more

We came here every morning for breakfast during our vacation to Miami. Every day we got breakfast and also a little dessert togo for later. Everything on display looks fantastic and I was very sad that I couldn't try more things! The Bachour Egg Sandwich was the best breakfast item we had. It comes with this nice thick piece of crispy bacon that's like a pork belly. SOOO GOOD! The cuban sandwich was also very delicious. We also tried the salmon scramble and the pasta cacio e pepe, both were okay but nothing to write home about. We tried the red velvet croissant and the hazlenut croissant which were both delicious! Stopped in for Sunday brunch. Was able to make reservations which was great because we were seated immediately upon arrival (we arrived ten minutes prior to reservation time). We were given the brunch menu which had both savory and sweet options. Ordered the Cafe Mocha with almond milk which had a dark chocolate taste. We wanted to try everything but went with the Bachour Egg Sandwich, The Croissant French Toast and the Guava and Cheese pancakes. The Bachour Egg Sandwich came with scrambled eggs, crispy pork belly, cheddar cheese and watercress. The consistency and flavors were out of this world. So fresh and cooked to perfection. I've never liked pork belly before today! The Croissant French toast was delicious and crisp. You can never go wrong with fresh berries and mascarpone! There aren't enough words to describe the feeling of when I took my first bite of the guava and cheese pancakes. I'm a guava lover all the way and this by far was the freshest guava I have had ever!! WHOA! Where do I begin?? I first found out about Bachour from Instagram, and was mesmerized by the beauty of the desserts, they literally look like art (ALMOST too pretty to eat!!). It's besides me, how they are able to turn food, into what should be displayed in one of the finest museums around the world - but luckily for us, it comes elegantly plated to you, with a smile! It's not just appealing to the eyes, but also to the belly! From appetizers right down to desserts, EVERYTHING was phenomenal. For an appetizer I had the burrata, and I'd just like to add I am a self proclaimed burrata queen... It knocked my socks WAY OFF. It was so deliciously creamy, pairing it with candied walnuts, medjool dates, and baby beets was nothing short of genius - the explosion of flavors were exceptional. I also had the Bachour egg sandwich, I apologize but there's no picture evidence of it, it was devoured in a matter in seconds. After all, if a sandwich is named after the restaurant, you KNOW it's the business! The guava and cheese pancakes are ridiculously AMAZING, and huuuuge. I NEVER take food home, because I'm truly a professional eater, but I couldn't master them! The combination of guava and cheese is like the perfect couple on your favorite TV show, you just can't get enough! And now for the dessert, I hope you're sitting down because THIS IS SERIOUS people! The waiter takes you to the front of the restaurant, where the desserts are displayed. November 2019. Everything here is done with great care and tastes amazing. I had some pastries on one visit and the Spanish Scramble on another. Spanish Scramble: Big portion of fluffy scrambled eggs topped with manchego cheese and Serrano ham. The cheese was incredible and complimented the crispy flake of ham well. Dulce de Leche Pastry: A Dulce de Leche lover's dream. Bachour does not skimp in the filling. Not something to finish by yourself, but sure tasty enough to try. Ham and Cheese Croissant: Perfect croissant with too little filling. Although, the filling has incredible flavor. Just wish there was more or it Pear: The pear that's not a pear but has pear on its inside is totally rad. I didn't like pear before trying this beautiful treat. You gotta try one. read more

I have literally nothing bad to say about my experience. The food was delicious, the seating was perfect (we sat outside and the weather was perfect), and although service was a tad slow it was completely understandable because it was extremely busy. We waited for 35 minutes but time flew. Now onto the more important part of the review, the food!!! We ordered the arepa fritters, challah French toast, pecan croissant, and the steak sandwich. Simply delightful. Everything about this place WOWED me. I stopped by on a Thursday afternoon and upon entering I was greeted by the hostess and seated immediately. My waiter Kenny was so awesome. He made everything sound delectable. I was offered champagne but opted for a passion fruit Bellini instead. The decor and ambiance is beautiful and I felt like I was in a posh patisserie in Paris. Kenny explained the menu and the offerings and gave me a little back story on the restaurant and Antonio Bachour. He was such a pleasure and made the experience of dining alone, so much better! I've had this place on my list for a while and I was so excited to be there and I can honestly say Bachour did not fall short and I had a simply amazing time. Kenny made several suggestions, all of which he described with such enthusiasm. I got the asian sticky ribs which were delicious and just to my luck, there was a $1 special on oysters. I had 4 of those and they were fresh, briny and perfectly shucked. For my main course, although the grass fed ribeye was tempting, I decided on the seafood pasta. I was a hard choice, but that pasta.... was perfectly al dente, seafood and sauce was flavorful and the lemon on top was just right. Loved everything about it. Then it was finally onto dessert and I wanted to try one of everything. I had a raspberry lychee macaroon and the chocolate hazelnut bar. Impeccable! To take home, Kenny packed me a box to go with some of his favorites. Carrot cake, coconut cheesecake, key lime bar, ferro rocher bar. All delicious and the key lime bar was my favorite. After I payed my billed, Kenny came back over and thanked me and gave me a little complimentary gift of 3 bonbons. Such a special touch. I ate them all the following day and that passionfruit chocolate... that was seriously intense flavor. Needless to say, my sisters all want to go back with me, so we will definitely plan a date and hopefully I'll have the pleasure of having Kenny serve me again. My son has watched every episode of every show Gordon Ramsay has produced. For a 16th birthday he asked for dinner at a Michelin rated restaurant. We couldn't make birthday reservations here because their jam-packed so we decided to go for dinner. The service was phenomenal! I asked for a side of additional shallot jam for my steak sandwich and the waitress brought a second kind of meant that was also excellent in addition to the jam! Start with the grilled Octopus ! The chicken over succotash was the biggest hit. My wife is Argentinian and wants the recipe for his chimichurri that came with the side of churrasco. Try a glass of the Lebanese wine. It's like you can taste the desert, It has a flavor that is unique and remarkable. I'm finally we got to the desserts and we all tried it different one. Take a loved one here for dessert it's so much better than a birthday cake! Everything get to meet the chef because he's opening a second restaurant in the design district and my son wants to make reservations and go as soon as it's open! I had high expectations for Bachour, and although the space and pastries look amazing, they didn't impress too much. My favorite of the things I tried was the Caribbean - fruity, light, and delicious! The ham and cheese croissant was soggy at the bottom, and the ham and cheese inside were so tightly wrapped in the middle instead of being spread out throughout. The Nutella croissant was average. My friend had the coconut cheesecake that he said was good, but a bit too sweet. I also had an iced chai latte that was not good at all! It had a tiny bit of tea, and the rest of the cup was filled with milk. I would come back if I was in the area to try Bachour's other staple cakes, but perhaps avoid the teas and croissants. read more

Good food, Horrible Service. After waiting to get in for 45 minutes, we waited another hour to get our food. Service was so bad!! Waiter took 15 minutes just to acknowledge us. No water provided like other tables. Plate of pastries brought, but no utensils nor plates. One of our party got his food first then the rest of us got ours 30 minutes later after I got upset with the waiter. I think similar happened to the table behind us. Too bad, the food is good. But I won't go through this for a mediocre egg sandwich no matter how fancy you try to make it. Sorry Bachour, it's one and done for me. read more

I come from food and beverage service background and needless to say, they need to work on their quality of service. We got there at there at the crack of dawn when it opens (because we have morning flight and thought that it would be good idea to check out the place while we're in the neighborhood), there was no server on sight in front of house for the first 10 minutes of our arrival. On top of that, the phone rang continuously from the same caller ID of what it seemed like they purposely avoid answering the call. She chose to take care of us while the phone was still ringing then approached to answer the phone mid conversation. We ordered what we wanted and I was surprised that they couldn't warm up the pastries that we ordered. Do you only assumed that people who order pastries doesn't want to sit down and enjoy? Just pack everything to go and be on their merrier way? Tables that were set up nicely are only for food service? There are many place that give so much better service and much better attitude even though it's 7am in the morning. If they are not morning person, at least do themselves a favor and switch to night shift ‍ This place does not live up to the hype that I've seen on TikTok or Instagram, I would really recommend who are influencers to go unannounced and see how they are being treated. Beautiful restaurant in a beautiful area. I came for coffee and a pastry, they do sit down breakfast as well, along with lunch and dinner. I got the espresso was decent and the chocolate croissant was the most perfect looking croissant I've ever seen! It tasted delicious too, however my only complaint is the clear glaze on it makes it hard to eat and pretty sticky. But it is good overall. The macarons here are so cute and delicious!! The birthday cake flavor is my favorite, and the cream has rainbow sprinkles, the shell has an edible glitter that was so beautiful. The cookies and cream is also phenomenal! They have flavors of the day too so ask and see what that is. I haven't tried other food yet but I do plan on going back and doing so when I have time. I took my little brother here for breakfast after his birthday celebration and they really delivered. He ordered steak frites, which was even better than the croque madame I ordered. This place has amazing and authentic French food, and an adorable array of tiny baked goods of all sorts of designs. Bachour was such a lovely experience from beginning to end. The decor is clean and pretty, and the pastries are even prettier! We had the croissant flan, and one of the Nutella desserts and both were amazing. The Nutella dessert was a little too sweet for my taste; I'm glad I was sharing it with a friend!
