Had a beautiful brunch at Bachour in their gorgeous outdoor courtyard! For beverages, I had the chai latte, which was an above average latte - the spiced flavors were perfectly balanced and not too overpowering. To pair with my latte, I had a pain au chocolate, which was deliciously flaky and rich. For my main, I couldn't get the chilaquiles out of my head even though it was listed as an appetizer. Our server, Tania (who did an excellent job overall with our table), assured me it could work as a main and said they'd be happy to add an eggs on top. No regrets about my choice - it was exactly the crunchy and saucy dish I had in mind. As many reviewers say, you have to get one of their desserts. My party and I were so stuffed but we couldn't not get one so we got a little orange dessert to share. Also no regrets - it was so beautiful and actually lighter and less dense than expected, so three of us sharing it were able to enjoy it without feeling overstuffed. read more

We were down in the Gables with friends and they suggested that we go for dessert. The desserts look like pieces of art. They were scrumptious!! I had the raspberry mousse with chocolate. The cakes are $13, a little pricey l. They have assorted drinks and food as well. There is indoor and outdoor seating. read more

I've been here a handful of times, only for dessert. I was first introduced to Bachour when someone gave my mom a box with several of the Petit Gateaux. We thought they were so beautiful and thought there was no way they could taste good with all the effort having gone into making them pretty. We were so wrong! Each one was delicious. The Bachour Rocher is my go-to, but I don't think I've had anything here I've disliked. The macarons have a great texture. The restautant itself is trendy with a beautiful flower wall out front. The staff are pleasant. This place is a little pricey, but worth it for a special treat! Looking forward to trying the regular food items at my next visit. read more

Bachour was all we expected. Great service right from the start. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and promptly seated. Our waitress was polite and friendly. She was attentive, and all our food came in a timely manner even though the restaurant was full. We ordered the burrata and arepa fritters as appetizers... both really good and great for sharing. For main dishes, we had steak sandwich, croque Madame, egg sandwich, and salmon and eggs. The egg sandwich and steak sandwich were probably the best. Croque Madame was okay... I missed the bechamel sauce, and it would have made it much better. Sangria and mimosas were refreshing... Definitely recommend coming here. read more

My wife and I went for brunch on Sunday, and I gotta say, it wasn't our first time, but we wanted to come back. We started with the mezze platter. The spreads were delicious, and the pitta bread was unlike any I've had recently. It was crunchy and had a good aftertaste. For the main course, we had the brunch burger and the steak sandwich; both dishes were tasty and subtle in flavor, which was a welcomed balance. Our desserts were the rose and the cherry. I've seen desserts that are worth a picture because they're pretty, but these desserts are so beautiful you don't want to touch them. Luckily, we did because they have a rich taste--not overly sweet, but with the main ingredient in mind. Food-wise, I can say Bachour offers a subtle, refined taste with great flavors, truly deserving of a Bib Gourmand. Our server was Miguel; he was very attentive and checked on us. If you haven't been to Bachour, I definitely recommend stopping by for beautiful, tasty food. read more

Very nice place! We came here to try this place after getting recommended to go to it. We managed to get a seat immediately and the waiter was very nice and attentive. All the food and pastries tasted amazing!! I got the pistachio croissant and it had a delicious cream inside and the best crunchy exterior. My little sister loved her dulce de leche croissant as well. I forgot to take a picture of it, but we also ordered the arepa fritters for an appetizer, and they tasted soo good. My parents enjoyed their plates as well. And we did end up with some leftovers. Overall an amazing experience! :) read more

@bachourmiami is a MUST when in #Miami this place was so good we came back today for a repeat . The #GuavaAndCheesePancakes were AMAZING!!! The #SalmonScramble was good as well we also had the #AvacadoTartine (Avacado Toast) which was very good. It had an avacado mousse which was Soooo good and they didn't skimp on the Sliced Avacados or the cherry tomatoes. The #ChallahFrenchToast was also very good! Beautiful desserts! This is a great place to go once in a blue or if your friend is in town and show them an impressive spot for dessert! Beautiful and delicious café/restaurant in the Gables area, featuring delicious pastries, and savory creations by chef Antonio Bachour. Came for brunch and had a wonderful experience with our waiter, Sergy. My friend started with a cappuccino which she loved and I had a glass of Albarino (crisp refreshing delicious) We ordered the Guava and cheese pancakes to share and they were really yummy. Super fluffy. We followed that with the crab Tostones, let me tell you they give you a lot of crab and the toston was super crunchy and warm with a savory creamy sauce that just complemented everything so well. We followed that up with a tiramisu coffee tart really enjoyed it as well. Flavors were definitely on point. You could taste the coffee and the chocolate flavored crust. Too full by that point definitely will be back to taste the croissants which they're famous for and so many other really delicious menu items that we saw. Prices are on par with Miami dining but they do take inKind which is great. Parking is available on the street. One of the best parts is how there's no super loud music playing , we were able to have a conversation. It's a very relaxed, chill vibe. Muy excelente lol is truly the first thing that comes to mind. This place is simply cute and simply delicious. We came for breakfast and my oh my, was it a great start to our day. We got the Guava pancakes which we soo soft and soo fluffy. Then, you add the natural sweeting from the guava, uh, so divine. I ate these without syrup and still got my desired sweetness. We also had the egg sandwich and that bread was buttered and crisped, perfectly. I almost came back a second time before leaving but, sleep won lol. DESSERTS BETTER THAN FOOD Had to get some work done so I spent a few hours here. Like other reviews, the service was not great and the food was not good. The desserts on the other hand were awesome. The Guava and Cheese Danish was average. The Tuna Flatbread was good but there was an overwhelming amount of truffle oil on ours. The Arepa Fritters were terrible since they were served cold. The Bachour Rocher was extremely tasty as expected. The macarons were just as good as ones you would get in France! Overall, just go for dessert. I will be back for the macarons. read more

This place is as Miami as you can get ! From the appetizers to the entrees to the desserts, literally everything was perfect. For appetizers I got the tequenos and the other thing I can't remember the name but the picture is below, both cheese filled but came with this really good garlic sauce that was to die for, tequenos def my fav appetizer. For the entree which for some reason my picture deleted, I got the fish and chips which were a solid 8/10, the tarter sauce tasted a little off but the pure freshness of the fish made up for it. And lastly for dessert we got the passion fruit jello type dessert along with the hazelnut dessert. Both extremely delicious but my favorite was definitely the hazelnut. Bachour is an amazing restaurant and bakery. This review primarily focuses on the pastries and the bakery side of Bachour. I placed an order for 4 croissants for pick up. Upon arriving at Bachour (which btw, the parking can be quite challenging as it's all street parking and gets quite crowded during the afternoons), I let the hostess know that I had an order for pick up. She led me to the pastry side and let them know I was here to pick up my order. Unfortunately, there was a hiccup and they did not fulfill my order by the time it was ready for pick up. Due to this, the croissants I initially ordered were sold out and substitutions were proposed in real-time. I still ended up leaving the shop with 4 croissants - 1) pistachio, 2) ham and cheese, 3) nutella, and 4) plain. I also ordered a cookies 'n creme cake which they said they didn't have so they gave me a vanilla bean cake as a substitute as well. Although a bit disappointed, I was very grateful they tried to remedy the issue while I was there so I'm glad. Their croissants are well worth it! They are flaky on the outside with multiple layers and fluffy on the inside. There's enough butter flavor where it's not overwhelming. I particularly enjoyed the pistachio croissant. The pistachio filling inside was creamy, nutty, and not too sweet. The plain croissant also was a hit! The ham and cheese is a classic and you can't go wrong with it. Theres a generous slice of ham and cheese within the pain croissant. Lastely, the nutella croissant was probably my least favorite. There was just too much nutella filling making it overwhelming... it just masked the croissant overall. This is a wonderful pastry shop I wouldn't pass up on! read more

Still 5 stars! I've been back when friends and family come to town. It's a great experience every time. The last two visits, Kenny was our waiter. He's friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and kind. He always has menu suggestions. Thanks, Kenny! The Bachour Egg Sandwich, Salmon Benedict, and Avocado Tartine have become a few favorites. My brother ordered the Spanish Scramble and enjoyed it thoroughly. The desserts and bakery items are gorgeous and delicious. As far as ambiance is concerned, I prefer sitting outside in the courtyard. It's quieter than inside, but I'll take whatever is available. read more

I've been here so many times and I always get the eggs Benedict. I came to try something different this time and opted for the egg sandwich. It was delishhh, but I don't like overpowering truffle, so I stopped eating in the second half of the sandwich. It got to be too much for my personal taste. However if you loooove truffle, order it. I think this is a great sandwich if you're hungover lol. Other things I recommend other than the eggs Benedict and egg sandwich is the steak sandwich and the pastries. One thing I wouldn't recommend is their iced coffee. I've had it twice and it just didn't taste good. read more

We had a terrible experience. In town from Washington state to drop off granddaughter at U of Miami. We were able to make a reservation at 4:15 and when we got there, we were told the kitchen closes at 4:00 (even though both the website & the hours on the door state 5:00)...very disappointing! read more

I came at that perfect time right before the dinner rush. The server Andrea was very helpful in helping choose what to eat. I wanted everything on the menu, but couldn't eat it all (so I'll have to come back). It was quiet when I arrived which let me get a bit of work done, and the server left me to it...not bothering me at all, which I appreciated. Tuna salad sandwich was tasty, made with fresh tuna from scratch (not canned). Perfect Friday meal. 9/10 because the French bread was a little too toasty. The side salad had a nice dressing. Fruit infused Iced tea was delicious. No idea what was in it or what type (there was only one option): 10/10 Guava macaron 5/10 not too flavorful Passion fruit macaron 4/10 not too flavorful Passion fruit bonbon 5/10 Cookies and Cream bonbon 6/10 Overall good food, good service, good ambiance. 6 star ambience, 5 star food, 5 star service: Incredibly beautiful Coral Gables bistro/bakery with perfect food and perfect service. 6 star ambience: The ambience both interior and exterior couldn't be better and is just the right blend of beautiful and welcoming. If the weather is nice, eat outside...their outdoor seating is in the breezeway under arches of a modern version of a Venetian porch. Inside the restaurant is swanky and slick with unexpectedly modern touches and a high-style men's room. The general neighborhood is Miami's answer to Beverly Hills, Coral Gables (one of the first planned suburbs in America from the 1920s, and a beautiful very swanky little town). Everything here, including most of downtown, is Spanish Colonial Revival architecture, in a tasteful shade of tan or pink (pre-approved by the town : ) 5 star food: Baked goods as well as brunch entrees were off da charts papi! Eggs Benedict had perfectly prepared Hollandaise sauce on their own brioche versus the usual English muffin. A walnut raisin pastry was incredibly good too. 5 star service: The staffers here from front desk to server to table clearing were invariably polite, helpful and efficient. They get it exactly right with being slightly chatty but fast with service. read more

Great breakfast. Quick walk over from my hotel. Ate inside - a bit loud but it was just me. Would suggest to eat outside if you have a larger party. Ham Benedict was wonderful - just enough brioche bread and eggs and ham were very tasty. Do not do hollandaise so can't comment. Potatoes were a nice mix and not greasy and fresh salad greens was the right addition. Thinking of a macaroon to add !! read more

We enjoy the restaurant for lunch and brunch but what we love the most is the bakery! Sometimes I just grab an amazing baguette. Other times we splurge on an amazing cake or small desert pastries. So you could just get an ordinary breakfast. But you won't get one here. This was extraordinary. I stopped by on a weekday morning for a quick bite. Got to sit outside and started with a hot cappuccino. Cute foam too. But then I had the Spanish scramble // eggs perfectly done and Serrano ham that added a salty flavor to it. Add in some manchego cheese sliced thin and layered and this was heaven. The bread was also fresh and delicious. Service was professional and for not much more than a diner I feel like I had one of the best breakfasts I've had all year. Look forward to coming back and trying the pastries and other goodies. read more

The bakery items are amazingggg. The entree menu is just ok in my opinion. The real thing to order are any baked goods. Go inside the restaurant to see all available bakery items, not everything listed on the menu. Our Favorite was the Almond Financier! So delicious and fluffy you can really taste the almond flavor. Great place for brunch! We had mimosas and tried some of the most popular options for breakfast. The Spanish scramble was great (you could even share as the portion is quite abundant). Man... came here for breakfast before a trip up to palm beach for the weekend. The interior and overall layout is immaculate. The pastries, cakes, bon bons, macarons look like they're straight out of a magazine. Which frankly is why I gave it 4 stars. Maybe it was because of what we got but the chocolate and hazelnut pastry had wayyyy too much filling and went from delicious with the first couple bites to way too sweet after you get through half of it. That being said the guava and cheese danish was delicious from beginning to end. So pick and choose your battle with Boucher. I do believe it was decent enough to warrant another try, but I would walk in cautiously optimistic. read more

Delicious!! Tony Bachour definitely deserves the awards he's gotten for this place. Kenny was taking care of us and was very polite and friendly. We got the tuna flatbread for an appetizer. It was absolutely delicious! I like to try new things each time I go to places and this is definitely not my first time at bachour, but it was my first time trying the tuna flatbread and I will definitely definitely have it again!!! We got the salmon club with a side of green salad and the beef tenderloin dish that comes with jasmine rice and fries (one of the best fries I've ever had!). The main dishes were good but the appetizer and the desserts were absolutely delicious! For dessert we got the pistachio Paris and the praline macaroon. Such a cute cafe tucked away off the main strip of DT coral gables. Lots of pastries and baked good but they also have real, hearty food. Great service and gave good recs. Amazing pastries!! The pistachio croissant is highly recommended and you can't go wrong with any of their daily selection of tarts. The menu is also very unique and changes regularly. went for breakfast and ordered the lox and eggs which also came with a generous portion of colorful potatoes and a side salad. I sat at the "bar" which allows you to watch the pastry chefs behind the glass making the pastries. Service was a bit slow, but an overall good experience. read more

This place is very inviting and cute. Unfortunately the service is not friendly. The waiter would never look over to even see if we needed anything. I just ended up going to the counter to order my Matcha Latte and dessert. It is extremely overpriced and although the plates are beautiful, the food lacks taste. Even the dessert just fell flat. The pastries at Bachour at are absolutely wonderful. One of my favorite dishes is lomo saltado, but it is only served for lunch. The alfajores are unparalleled. I suggest you NEVER order the mussels. Both my lunch companion and I both got sick on them. They were the only thing we ate. It spoiled the vacation that I was leaving on the next day. The atmosphere is really nice but I believe the mussels were prepared ahead and added to the broth right before serving. Big mistake!! read more

The restaurant did not meet the standards for a Michelin star. The staff lacked knowledge of the menu, were impolite and dismissive. In addition to the poor service, the quality of the to-go food was subpar. Given the price, the presentation of the food was unconvincing, as it appeared carelessly thrown in the box. The "steak and eggs," priced at $29, were overcooked and had a texture resembling hard leather. The eggs were also overcooked and lacked any taste. The "egg Benedict," priced at $17, was a disappointment. The dish consisted of a hard-boiled and tasteless egg, accompanied by a sad piece of toast and unseasoned cut potatoes/home fries. The Hollandaise sauce was not up to par, as someone who has tried 40+ different types of hollandaise from all over the world I'll be the one to say that it tasted improper. Although not typically one to complain, this experience warranted an exception. Attempts to resolve the issue with the staff were met with further dismissiveness and rudeness, with the staff gaslighting us into believing the food was supposed to be that way which is arguably worse . She was incredibly receptive to our feedback and kindly welcomed us back for another visit--and I'm so glad we gave it another shot. We waited 15 mins for a steak knife, our server never checked in on us once food hit our table and he even argued about the bacon when we told him we don't eat bacon and bacon was in my wife's sandwich. If you are a fan of the finest pastries and of delicious desserts, you cannot miss this place. We tried many of them, and they were all succulent in the traditional French way, such as in the finest Pâtisseries in Paris... This is the real deal and the chef takes pride and care with the finished product. The staff were excellent and very attentive. They are knowledgeable with the menu and engaging. We spoke with one of the owners who is on the floor watching every detail and couldn't have been more gracious. Their coffee is carefully selected, prepared, and served, and is definitely one of the better ones we've found locally. However, lately, the music has been unbearable, and it's really detracted from the atmosphere. When we asked the manager to turn it down a bit, we were disappointed to hear that it was the owner's decision to play it so loudly. What was even more upsetting was the manager's indifferent attitude towards our complaint. We ended up leaving the restaurant because of the music, which is a shame because we used to love coming here. The minute I walked into this place I knew I was in for a treat. The style is impressive, almost like done by people of impecable taste. When you enter, you see the main attraction which are the desserts of the chef. They are to die for, I managed to try the Manjari and the Pistachio. Croissants are also world class. To be clear, they were all super sweet and didn't need syrup for flavor, but couldn't hurt to increase the moisture because the pancakes were very fluffy, and all the toppings were generous, but by the time you got to the bottom of the stack most of the toppings were consumed - we might be a little gluttonous... but this is the hold out on the fifth star, the bottom pancakes only had toppings on the margin that was exposed. The breakfast burrito had lots of fillings in it, I tried a bite, friends were sharing it, but there was plenty for everyone to try! One person ordered a croissant sandwich, the two of them that tried it really enjoyed it. All portions are very generous! For adults and two kids couldn't finish everything. Would definitely come here again!

It wasn't bad, but it definitely didn't justify the cost. The pancakes, in particular, missed the mark. They were dense and thick, more like traditional pancakes, when we were expecting something lighter, fluffier, and more soufflé-like. The eggs Benedict were average at best and didn't stand out in any way. The breakfast platter was probably the highlight of the meal, but even that wasn't enough to redeem the overall experience. All in all, it was a disappointing visit, and unfortunately, not somewhere we'd return.

After ordering my drinks and receiving them, she felt the need to hold up the line and single me out in front of everyone to inform me that she "wouldn't order" the way I ordered. Not telling me that I couldn't, but that *she* wouldn't. It came across incredibly self-important and petty. For context, I ordered two double espressos and paid an additional $1 for each cup of oat milk on the side. This is on the menu. I didn't ask for anything outrageous, yet she seemed perturbed that I ordered what I paid for. I have a newborn and have replaced oat milk whenever I use 'milk' because my supply has been very low and oats are said to aid in lactation support. I'm pumping breastmilk in the car every time I drive and nursing throughout the day. I'm doing everything in my power to consume as many lactation supporting foods as I can. I PAID FOR IT. I paid nearly $13 for two beverages, I didn't ask for anything free or try to do anything inappropriate. Yet I was treated with such odd hostility from the barista. She even made some comment about it being "a lot of cups", except it was just the two cups of milk where I poured the espresso into. She very simply could have poured the espresso into the cup of milk and ice, but apparently that was not something she was willing to do. So it seems the two little paper espresso cups going to 'waste' are because of her method of preparation and service. I didn't ask for special treatment or any exceptions to be made for me, I ordered off the menu. I paid for the milk and I paid for the espresso. The semantics of what I do with what I pay for is not of the barista's concern. I would encourage some supplemental training or remove oat milk from the menu if customers are going to be spoken to disrespectfully for buying it.
