Yucky watered down mac and "cheese" and bbq gristle
    Laura P.

Wow, this was the most highly rated place here per boards. Schlep of a line, dirty tables, service without a smile. I got the mac and brisket - machine and cheese was watery with little no cheese taste, brisket was pure gristle- thanks chicken who seems to purposely grab the super gross ones! I couldn't stomach going to most food places at this park. We are spoiled since Knoebels.

Super scrumptious BBQ at a park yes it's totally a thing and you can find it here as they are turning it out just the way you want it sliced to order right in front of you that is if you choose to go with that yummy brisket like I did! Of the few BBQ choices I totally had to go with the brisket as it just looked super good and once I had them slicing it right in front of me I knew I made the right choice as I could see just how tender and juicy it really was even before I took the first bite once I started to eat it I was blown away by how good it was the meat was cooked perfectly and just fell apart as well as melted in your mouth. For my side I had to go with the Mac and cheese as it's usually my go to at a Q place and here was no exception as it was delicious super flavorful and rich so much so it almost tasted of a Alfredo Parmesan which was just delicious! The cornbread was just the way it should be perfect not to sweet and not the bit salty it was just a great addition to this yummy barbecue! They also had 3 different types of sauce spicy, mustard, and Backbeat all of which I definitely enjoyed with my meal as each one was good and different from the other. Of the theme parks I've been to and had BBQ at this is definitely the best one as they are turning out some delicious Q here for all to enjoy it's with that I'll be looking forward to my next visit here to try everything else because I'm sure it's just as good! They accept Dinning Pass here too so definitely don't overlook this as one of your meals as it's totally worth it in a barbecue type of way! Overall delicious BBQ complete with a patio and a stage with live entertainment this is without a doubt a great addition to what is the awesomeness that is Cedar Point!

For theme park food, I was extremely impressed! The portions were big, so my husband and I split the brisket platter, that was tasty and cooked to perfection! The Mac n cheese was the best I've had in a really long time!!! And that's saying a lot! The corn muffin was moist, the bbq sauce delicious! This made our already great day, greater!

    All fat, no meat.

Had the brisket, mac n cheese and cornbread. The quality was amazing but I got diarrhea from it.

The place radiates friendliness and you truly feel like a regular when you walk in, warmly greeted right away and taken care of the entire duration of your meal. My family had returned after a long day of theme park food and I needed something lite - and their seasonal salad was just what I needed. It was a very generous portion with some of my the sweetest strawberries I've ever had with candied walnuts, feta cheese, and a delicious vinaigrette to go along with it. Skip the theme park dining when you can - or at the very least, supplement it with this delicious cuisine and friendly service.

Our first night in Sandusky landed us in this small tavern right across Lake Erie…read more Very casual vibe and everyone was very accommodating but seemed overwhelmed. For an appetizer, we ordered the wedge salad and the Buffalo Chicken dip. I got the perch dinner for my main course. The kid got a chicken sandwich and my wife got the brisket Mac n cheese. They said that the kitchen was backed up. Honestly, it was totally not an issue. We were just relaxing, watching the game and chilling after a 7 hour drive from NJ. What was an issue was...... appetizers came out exactly the and time as the main courses. WHY????????? It couldn't have taken that long to throw blue cheese, bacon and tomatoes on a chunk of lettuce and pump out the Buffalo Chicken dip and then worry about the main courses later. Now we have to decide, do we want to eat the entrees or even touch the appetizers. That alone always ruins everything. Food was very good. Like I said, people were very nice but you just can't bring everything out at once. Defeats the point of "starting" with something.

This is a super cool public market hall in downtown Sandusky with maybe 15ish (just a guess) local businesses like a bakery, bowling alley, axe throwing game space, ice cream shop and boutiques. This is a cool place to spend an hour or two just browsing and supporting local while grabbing some dessert. The building has some type of history to it which I was unable to readily find online (boo, that is so odd). But the history is paid homage in the design of this space, with old timey photos of Sandusky and Cedar Point blown up on the walls and little stories to accompany them. The design is actually brilliant. It's a cool mixture of old school heritage meets modern rustic vibes. It makes you want to stop and look. The businesses in this building are open during the pandemic, just make sure to check with each business directly before visiting as most of the hours are likely changed. I stopped by here extremely quickly (I do not go out much during the pandemic) to pick up some pre-paid birthday treats from Bake Erie. It has a spacious, accessible parking lot and is just a joy to browse. Check it out for yourself, than continue exploring the surrounding area of local businesses... and Lake Erie :)
