I asked more questions about shared fryer, shared toaster, etc. and she quickly started getting annoyed. I ordered a patty melt. When it came out the sandwich was on rye bread. I told her that rye is gluten and she said "it's your fault. You didn't tell me you wanted gluten free bread". I told her we just had a whole conversation about celiac. So she took the plate away. 5 min later offered more coffee and when I said no she scoffed, rolled her eyes, and walked away. I asked to cancel the order because she obviously doesn't take precautions and said that the kitchen would bring a fresh plate, which they did. She also said "I'm not gluten free. How was I supposed to know?" I took two bites and immediately realized the food was off. She took my coffee off the bill and said "good luck to you". Absolutely horrendous service and woman.

Of the couple of brunch spots I tried in town, this was my favorite. I ordered the Cornucopia with eggs over medium and substituted the home fries for fruit. The fruit was surprisingly good, strawberries, blueberries, and bananas with a light sprinkle of powdered sugar. A side of fruit can be pretty hit or miss when you substitute it at brunch, so I was pleasantly surprised. The eggs were cooked right, and the toast was fine. I opted for turkey bacon, though, and I'd recommend skipping it. It was pretty crispy and lacked much flavor. The standout was the cinnamon roll French toast. We ordered it to share with the table, and I highly recommend doing the same. It comes with two large cinnamon rolls that are soaked in egg batter and grilled French-toast style. It was top tier. I noticed several tables around us sharing the regular cinnamon roll as well, and those looked fantastic too. They also have a bakery counter inside with plenty of grab-and-go options. The pastries all looked great, along with fresh bread, cookies, and other sweet treats. If you're visiting Frisco and looking for brunch, Butterhorn is definitely worth a stop. And whatever you order, I'd make sure the cinnamon roll French toast makes it onto your table.

At that point, customers had no chance to see what they were actually paying for. If people want to tip extra, that's totally fine -- but they should be aware of what's already been added. Watching multiple customers unintentionally double‑tip didn't feel good, and it's something that needs to be addressed.

The place was so cute and very cozy, the music that was playing also brought the place together; my friends and I felt very safe. The food was absolutely delicious, my biscuits were so soft and moist, everything was cooked to perfection. My friends also enjoyed their meal, we all left with our plates clean. The service was unbelievable, Emily is one of the best waitresses I've ever met. She was very kind and helpful, she kept checking in on us and even made a few jokes. Her energy was amazing, she was enthusiastic, warm, and very patient with us; overall her service was just fantastic. As I am new to this town, a freshman here at Western University, I am exploring and finding new places to enjoy with friends; and this cafe is definitely a place everyone needs to visit. read more
