Great service! Fast and friendly. Large menu with a variety of options at good prices. A good classic breakfast spot. Food didn't blow me away, but also no complaints. Would definitely go back because of how awesome the servers are!

Passing through Gunnison and wanted a quick bite from a local place. I unfortunately rolled in ten minutes before closing but they still had patrons and were kind enough to let me order to go. I ordered the crispy chicken wrap and it was fresh and delicious.

Good lunch while taking a trip through the mountains. Comfortable, reasonably priced and decent service. The grilled turkey, with delicious bacon, served on sourdough was a hit. Freshly brewed ice tea, with the refill I had to ask for more ice -- Ice goes in iced tea and warm tea, melts the ice. Clean inside. Friendly, nice people at the cafe. Good comfort food, nothing fancy here.

Although they're booked and busy, there's time to shop while you wait, very well worth the while. Friendly faces welcome me in, making a little mountain town feel like home - after waiting, Nellie got my order turned quickly without rushing. CELIAC NIGHTMARE…read more Nellie was our server. I told her from the get go that I had celiac and she responded that the owner has celiac and eats everything on the menu. I asked more questions about shared fryer, shared toaster, etc. and she quickly started getting annoyed. I ordered a patty melt. When it came out the sandwich was on rye bread. I told her that rye is gluten and she said "it's your fault. You didn't tell me you wanted gluten free bread". I told her we just had a whole conversation about celiac. So she took the plate away. 5 min later offered more coffee and when I said no she scoffed, rolled her eyes, and walked away. I asked to cancel the order because she obviously doesn't take precautions and said that the kitchen would bring a fresh plate, which they did. She also said "I'm not gluten free. How was I supposed to know?" I took two bites and immediately realized the food was off. She took my coffee off the bill and said "good luck to you". Absolutely horrendous service and woman.

Best brunch I had in Frisco…read more Butterhorn Bakery and Cafe is the highest-rated brunch spot in Frisco, and based on my experience, I'd agree with the hype. Of the couple of brunch spots I tried in town, this was my favorite. I ordered the Cornucopia with eggs over medium and substituted the home fries for fruit. The fruit was surprisingly good, strawberries, blueberries, and bananas with a light sprinkle of powdered sugar. A side of fruit can be pretty hit or miss when you substitute it at brunch, so I was pleasantly surprised. The eggs were cooked right, and the toast was fine. I opted for turkey bacon, though, and I'd recommend skipping it. It was pretty crispy and lacked much flavor. The standout was the cinnamon roll French toast. We ordered it to share with the table, and I highly recommend doing the same. It comes with two large cinnamon rolls that are soaked in egg batter and grilled French-toast style. It was top tier. I noticed several tables around us sharing the regular cinnamon roll as well, and those looked fantastic too. They also have a bakery counter inside with plenty of grab-and-go options. The pastries all looked great, along with fresh bread, cookies, and other sweet treats. If you're visiting Frisco and looking for brunch, Butterhorn is definitely worth a stop. And whatever you order, I'd make sure the cinnamon roll French toast makes it onto your table.

The Chile rellenos were like some terrible version you find in terrible food places like eastern Oklahoma. The star of the relleno should be the chile, not the breading. It was almost all this way overdone breading. Not good at all. The "green chili" was as spicy as milk and equally as flavorful. My brother said the breakfast burrito was terrible. I saw it, and it did not look appetizing. Some of the "green chili" drizzled on top like an afterthought. Dry and uninspired. My son enjoyed his simple plate of bacon, eggs, hash browns, and toast, but those who ordered the Mexican food inspired dishes were majorly disappointed. As far as service, we waited forever to order. Our drinks were constantly empty. The server was very polite but things like missing items, missing silverware, empty coffees and waters starts to add up to a negative experience. Nice views outside and the place is clean so atmosphere is fine, but the rest was severely lacking.

I was really disappointed with what I saw at the register today. The cashier was only handing customers the tip receipt to sign without showing the itemized receipt first, and the 15% service charge was already added. I watched one customer pay the $7 service charge and then unknowingly add a $10 tip on top of it. Several others did the same because they had no idea the service charge was already included. What bothered me even more was that the cashier held back the itemized receipt until after customers had already signed and added a tip, and only then asked, "Do you want your receipt?" At that point, customers had no chance to see what they were actually paying for. If people want to tip extra, that's totally fine -- but they should be aware of what's already been added. Watching multiple customers unintentionally double‑tip didn't feel good, and it's something that needs to be addressed.
