WOOOOOOOOW! I am known for always wanting to order a burger when we go out to eat. They are simply one of my favorite foods and this place is EASILY in my top 10 favorite burger spots. I ordered the Rio Bravo burger, which came with guacamole, fried jalapenos and chipotle mayo. Done, done and done! What I also had mad respect for was how well the burger was seasoned and cooked. Additionally, I loved the online ordering. You can customize your burger so many ways. You can choose the patty, the bun, put items on the side and many choices of sides. I cannot wait to order from this place again and try another one of their burgers. They have so many options to choose from. Lastly, I want to thank the young lady who brought our order out to the car. She took the time to stop and say thank you to me for ordering from them. Best Nashville hot chicken sandwich ever the MacDaddy made it 10 times better and it should be ordered highly. The food came out in like 15 minutes and the noise was quiet with very quiet talking far from the bar. read more

We sometimes eat at this restaurant, and have always had a great experience. Tonight was no exception. Our server Jackie was excellent and attentive and accommodating. I always try their burger of the month. This month the burger was Beware Of Dog. It did not disappoint! Their burgers are fabulous, and this one was a mashup of a great bacon cheeseburger and Chicago dog with the works of toppings. Really enjoyed this meal and really hope it's brought back again soon. My husband and I stopped into this new(to us!) restaurant for dinner tonight-- sans toddler. Excellent service and food! We each got the chicken rice soup to start, after reading the rave reviews here. Omg! Soooo good!! We both got burgers. I got the 3am & hubs got the backroads. Their bbq sauce is delicious! And the fries were perfectly cooked-- nice and crisp and well seasoned. The meat was really flavorful as well. Becca was our server, and she was very attentive! The kitchen got a bit backed up(trivia night), and a manager(possibly one of the owners?) came over to apologize about the wait time. We weren't in a hurry so it didn't bother us. I work late and usually get out to eat around 8. Ever since Covid, Backroads has been kicking people out earlier and earlier. Tonight last call was 9:30 because a quarter inch of snow was on the ground. At 10:00, the manager was shutting off all of the TV's basically forcing us out the door. I didn't know my bedtime would be earlier and earlier every time I come here because the employees hate working here. Yes, they make it very clear that they don't want to be there and are trying everything they can to get out the door. Bar stools are pushed way out, brooms flying everywhere, no regard for the customers. As far as the Food, If Bob or the other long time cook are not working, your Burger will be dried out and burnt to a piece of Charcoal like mine was tonight. Sammy's will be opening soon, and I hope they don't treat their customers like this place does. This place has gone down hill bigtime since it opened. Later from a regular for many years. read more

We have been coming here for years when it was Katie's and then last year when it changed names. It looks like it under new ownership again. Our family always came because they would have a great Lent fish fry. However this year very disappointed and won't be back. To start waitress told us no specials for lent. She said just fish and chips meal and it's not unlimited fish. When we got our food it was $13 dollars and we got two small pieces of fish and fries. Also fish was like getting fish out of a box from the grocery store. Very disappointed and left hungry. Your in Chicago all restaurants take advantage of lent and offer fish fry to get more people in. All the restaurants in Plainfield are doing specials. Our first visit on a Sunday evening had me hoping Plainfield had another good dining option. The Sunday specials enticed us to order $7 nachos...we're suckers for good nachos. These are absolutely huge with lots of goodies on them. We both got burgers ordered medium- rare. Oddly enough, one was cooked correctly but mine was medium-well. They made another one but it's always disappointing to have to wait. Nothing was discounted off the bill, which would have been nice for the inconvenience. I've been wanting to try this place out since they've recently opened and finally got the chance to on a Tuesday night. We were seating immediately after walking in and decided to dine in the bar area. As soon as we sat down the waitress came over to take our drink orders. They were hosting a bingo night (the bingo was free and offered some cool prizes) and the dj running the bingo came over and give us all bingo cards and stampers. I ordered the "Shroomer" burger (Swiss mushrooms sautéed onions mayo and shredded lettuce) and added bacon. My sister got the "You're My Boy Blue" burger (Melted chunky bleu cheese with some chunks left peppered bacon spicy ranch lettuce tomato and onion). Our food came out really quick and was hot. My burger was a bit overcooked, I ordered med rare and got med well, but it was still good. My sister's burger was a little under cooked. The burgers were really big, though, so bring your appetite! We wound up staying for a couple of hours playing bingo and I even won a pair of tickets to Zanie's comedy club! We had a few beers and great time. I found out from another customer that they have a rewards program and asked to sign up but they were out of cards :(. I'll have to sign up my text time in. read more

Service is fine food is overpriced for very small portions and is mediocre at best. Sides are 5 dollars each and taste like they are microwaved. Make you pay in front of them to pressure you to tip. Inside ambiance is average at best outside is pretty good. read more
