Arrived at 6:30 on a Friday for a 4 top, waited an hour for a table, waited another 45 min for our food to arrive (the restaurant was only about 30% full when we placed our food order - 2 chicken sandwiches, kids mac n cheese, and chicken bowl). Food was decent quality but our server had a bad attitude from the moment we sat down which made the whole situation worse. After eating quickly, we asked our server for desserts to go. She returned a few minutes later but missed one of the desserts and immediately went to assist another table- leaving us sitting and waiting again. I got up and walked to the register to then have a younger girl roll her eyes when I asked if I could buy something from the baked good area (which other folks were already doing). Instead of just letting us pay, she asked, "Which table are you at?"- because she wanted to get back to talking to her co-worker instead of helping us wrap up. Our server ended up came back over ringing up the missed dessert. Still tipped 18% on the meal because everyone needs a bit of grace... As we left, we saw 6 or so kitchen crew sitting out back smoking- which is probably why it took forever to throw a piece of chicken on a pre-made bun. Here's a few suggestions- serve people well, don't expect a great tip if the service isn't there. You can't have gratitude if you expect something for nothing. Try being nice, even empathetic... If your kitchen can't support a full house or is running behind, let the customer know that up front and try to go above and beyond to still make the experience great. I don't know this area at all, but would bet you can find as good or better food and a lot better experience elsewhere. read more

We stopped here while in Glacier. Enjoyed the local flavor. They offered a few IPA offerings, but ordered and enjoyed their seasonal hazy, Summer Vibes IPA. No cider options for my wife so she tried Nitro: Chai Somethin' which she did not enjoy. We both tried some of their specials. My wife had the Labneh Plate and I had the Hawaiian Jamm Burger. I have been a big fan of Backslope in the past, even recommending to out of town guests...however...yesterday was my second and last very disapppinting experience. The Power Greens bowl has degraded to a couple of handfuls of spring mix lettuce like you get in the plastic tubs in the grocery store with a few dried cranberries, walnuts and big globs of goat cheese. No kale, no brussels sprouts etc like the menu states. The previous expereince was just as disapppointing, especially the garlic fries. Visited here for the first time today on a lunch date with my boyfriend. We sat at the bar and the ambiance was nice, causal, and relaxed. We ordered the fried pickles which were very good, although my boyfriend had hoped they were pickle chips instead of pickle spears. Small detail, but we were still satisfied, especially with the spicy mayo it came with. I loved the ginger lemonade! We both ordered basic burgers, mine with a veggie patty, and it came with fries that were more like thin potato patties with some good seasoning and a good amount of parsley (i think?) which I appreciated. We got a huge snickerdoodle cookie for dessert and it was so good! Biggest compliment to this place is the amount of tofu and nonmeat options!!!! Dare I say this is my new favorite spot?? The food is delicious, but it was overshadowed by the extremely rude staff. The hostess had the worst attitude. She sat two parties ahead of us that came after us. When I nicely asked her about it, she rolled her eyes and snapped back, "I haven't set up your table yet." Every time she walked by our table, she was mouthing or saying rude comments about customers. I have never experienced such extremely bad behavior at a restaurant. What a great little restaurant to dine in after a long day's hike. We were seated within 10 minutes and we enjoyed a Ginger Lemonade and a Fool Me Twice brew. Both were fantastic! Our server, Margaret was a joy and she was so friendly! We had Fried Pickles with the house sauce and Garlic Parmesan Fries for appetizers and they did not disappoint one bit. I ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich and my wife had the Bistro Burger. Top ten rated sandwiches in our book! Very cozy and friendly atmosphere. Went for lunch and a beer, beer was okay. There were so many flies in this place I was immediately grossed out and wanted to leave but felt awkward because I had just sat down. I got a salad with grilled chicken. It was almost all shredded cabbage like from a bag and chopped almonds, plate was too small for it and the very worst part, the first bite of chicken was pure fat. Why does no one care about flies in Montana? My third restaurant around these parts and flies at all of them, but this place that the most. Pretty chill place! We loved hanging out in the outside area with our beer flight and kombucha while waiting for our seat. We saw many people just hanging outside with their drinks - awesome setting! Excellent food and beer. The bbq sauce on the puuled pork was perfect - some heat and just a touch of sweet. The fried chicken sandwich had just the right amount of breading and not greasy at all. Amazing place! They have a patio where you can eat at or sip on some beer while you wait for a table. I came here first because of a special voucher from the hotel but I'm glad I did because it was so good I came back again the same trip! Very reasonably priced at around $4/glass or $10/ 4-beer flight. We enjoyed the Pilgrim that was on tap--and it was our favorite of the flight we tried as well. Fish and chips was very solid. Labneh plate was interesting--very flavorful but imo a bit salty, great for a sharing plate. Bulgogi bowl was a very flavorful fusion dish. The ribs were very flavorful as well but a bit spicy with the gochujang, had a lot of sauce. Ribs were not as tender as I would have liked however. Will return for more beer+ fish/chips! read more

I really appreciate the safety precautions that they observe at this establishment, especially considering that it's not the norm for restaurants in this area. First I want to say the beers and the chicken sandwich were good. The problems started with being told 30-45 minutes to get a table. Were not told when we signed up that we could sit on the patio and have a beer during the wait but when we went to the bar THEY MADE IT VERY CLEAR. So we went to the patio and waited too long to be acknowledged. Wait ended being an hour. Got seated and ordered from a very delightful server. Food took 30-40 minutes to come out but was very good. Here is the icing on the cake.....there are big windows that look into the brewery. My friend was describing the equipment and apparently touched the window with his finger while talking and an older lady (shift supervisor) with bluish died hair shot over to us and let us know "she had to clean the window and could we nit touch it". Great way to end our experience. On the way out I confronted her about our visit and that she really topped off our experience. She just berated me and called me names.
