Overall, we had a good experience here. My party of 2 came in on a Wednesday around 5pm. We initially tried a flight of 4 of their beers, and all of them were solid and true to the style of beer. My two favorites were the Heritage Hefeweizen and the Animation IPA. The servers were nice and checked up on us regularly. The brewery is connected to Lamppost Pizza, so you need to walk inside of the pizza parlor to get to the brewery. The vibes were very relaxed and low key, and they have a nice patio outside. I would visit again if I am in town to order some pizza and have a brew.

Enter through the pizza place. This brewery is inside the pizza place. Came here early afternoon with a large group that wanted to get beer. There was a lot of room and plenty of parking in the plaza. Cheese bread was delicious. 9-yard pizza was super delicious with lots of ingredients. The ingredients falls off the pizza but its easy to gather and eat it. Service was great and employees seemed happy to have us there.

My marketing team and I went to try this place out! We did a project on B2B so that's the main reason we dined! If anyone wants to see our marketing project of this place feel free to reach out to me! The brewery needs major revamping! So old school and not the best experience! Paper plates, forks and party cups I don't know what is happening here! There was literally only one bartender taking orders and serving! You can order food from Lamppost pizza right from the bar! The mozzarella sticks are stale(please don't order) waste of money! The Mediterranean pizza was fine...could be better if the kitchen learned how to cut the toppings! I was biting into my slice of Pizza and pop a whole chicken breast popped out of no where! They didn't even care about cutting it into pieces! I will not be dining here ever again ! I'd rather go to little Ceasars at least my pizza won't be overpriced and somewhat enjoyable.

Blink and you'll miss it! Chill micro brewery just off the 5. Shares a space with Lamppost Pizza, which is deserving of its own review since it has great food! 13 house beers on tap with a nice selection for every style fan. The Beach Party Blonde and Blood Orange Animation IPA were my favorites. Two 6oz flights ran me about $17, great price for a flight compared to other breweries in the area. Beer, pizza, wings all under one roof! It's a perfect combo!

Cool little spot to grab a beer. This spot is located inside of Lamppost Pizza. It's not the original Backstreet Brewery, but it's still pretty dope. You can eat pizzas and other foods and grab beers. What's better than that? I'll usually come here and get a flight. I believe they cost about $7.50? Which is actually a damn good deal. They have a solid sized patio too! I live a couple minutes away so I'd definitely be back to get me some beers

Best kept secret in Irvine, yet somehow still packed. Come in and you'll understand why

HIDDEN GEM & LOCAL FAVORITE This place is awesome! The brew their own beer, and always have the favorites on tap as well as cycling through new ones to try. Joining the Mug Club is a great deal because all your pints get upgraded to steins. Cool local crowd, really good food. I'm glad more people don't know about this place, because it would be packed 24x7

This is no longer a Backstreet Brewery location. All brewery equipment has been removed. They are now just a generic Lamppost Pizza.

The parking lot is behind a pay gate, but you can get your ticket validated at the brewery. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, with a variety of table sizes, so it can easily accommodate large groups. We sat outside. The outside seating area sort of has a neat, firepit-type vibe. They have some overhead fans but it was still pretty hot outside (it was a heat wave). I bet it usually feels fine though. Thankfully my drink helped cool me down! I ordered the Coronado Brewing, which is described as superfruit acai cider. I loved it! I'm not a big drinker but I've always loved Angry Orchard cider, so if you're like me, you would probably like the Coronado too. It's a deep red colored cider and can come in a 16 or 20oz. It can get loud here, even outside. I found that my voice was a bit scratchy after I got home from the happy hour with all the loud talking, but that's probably to be expected anywhere you go!

U2 and Coldplay cover bands the night we were there. Lots of room to run around for little ones. Tables to sit at but apparently they paid $100 per table just to be able to sit at it; that seems a bit steep to me. I guess the perk of that was that you can order food and/or drinks via the barcode on the table and it'll be brought right out to you (vs standing in a long line at the bar). I will say, the food and beverages did come out very quickly! If you don't get a table, there is plenty of room to sit in beach chairs that you bring or even a blanket laid down.

I think this is on everyone's speakeasy list!…read more Make sure you make a reservation It is very packed. They offer bar seating and booth / table Follow the wall from Randy's donuts and Look for a wall of Japanese sake/beer barrels and head towards the restaurant - the rolling boil. There will be a check in host and stand there and wait (it will be located up against the wall with a big secret door right next to the hostess station) It's very New York inside. When I first came in Spring with the amazing, Karen, the menu and everything was great Now, I took my friend who was in town from Nashville and it was a brand new theme. It's the great Gatsby. Even our waitress, Jasmine was dressed for the occasion. I would say this place is known for Absinthe. They have cocktails featuring it or you can get one of the huge apparatus (huge and glowing green) which, if you are into it? I highly recommend. Just one of the huge apparatus makes one regular drink. Or, what Karen and I did, was split it and make it into a shot for the both of us. The waitress comes out and shows you how it works and goes over everything. Karen, who I came with, was a pro and knew her way around it. She showed me the ropes lol. Honestly, if you are here? When in Rome. Go all out and try it, since it's where they shine here. They took off a few menu items and added some themed drinks. ( a couple new champagne themed drinks) They have big entree items but I suggest small bites and sharing and mostly coming for the drinks. There's no bathroom inside, so you do have to leave the bar and go to the closest one (over behind Randy's donuts) and then enter the speakeasy again Both times coming here I've never had an issue. It's a small, packed place. And yet they still have the cocktails flowing and the food coming out in a good time. So the food and drinks are good Atmosphere is lovely. Service is good. Especially for it usually being very busy in here This place is located inside the Anaheim packing district. So I suggest hitting up a couple other spots before or afterwards for some more food or drinks P.S. it is very dark In here. They never cared if we used our light to look at the menu. However, they do not want flash photography They also do not strictly enforce a dress code (my friend from Nashville asked) however, they suggest dressing business casual and not too underdressed

I really liked the clarified strawberry drink, similar to strawberry and cream. I ordered a drink after that unfortunately forgot the name (photo attached with a tall glass) but there was no special cocktail craft taste to it. Just hard liquor taste and undrinkable :( the bartender kindly offered another drink. Unfortunately none of the food was the least bit good. Steak and fries was ordered medium rare and cooked to medium well with what seemed like no seasoning was on there at all. Crab cake was just ok and the slaw beneath it was drenched in a vinaigrette that was just sour and unpleasant. And the Mac and cheese, as we were very hopeful and looking forward to, was probably the blandest Mac and cheese we ever had. We asked the lady bartender for salt and she handed us, no exaggeration (and you guys will probably think I am) a salt shaker with 10 grains of salt in it and said "looks like there's a lil something you could still get out of there" My jaw dropped. But yeah. The shredded meat on top of the Mac and cheese was cooked beyond the point of edible. That one was unfortunately sent back bc we just couldn't eat it. We were bummed over all mostly about the food.

It's hidden in between the East and West food courts, making its entrance nondescript, that many of my classmates are surprised to hear that there's a pub on campus. I've shared countless of pitchers of IPA or cider throughout my visits. It's definitely changed drastically since the pandemic. The atmosphere is lacking. Not packed at all. Hours are a little weird. In the past 2 years, each time I've visited, it's been emptier and emptier. There will only be 2 groups there besides my own. And I feel like I have to call every time I want to stop by because I'm not sure if it's open. Prices for pints and food are up (pints are a better deal always unless it's happy hour). The revamped food menu doesn't seem appealing either. The new staff isn't as friendly (maybe they don't employ students anymore?) There was a lady whose attitude was a bit condescending and off-putting. I'll still pop in whenever I'm on campus for nostalgic reasons, but it's not the same anymore.

The food was surprisingly good, plenty of choices, good beer selection, and the service was excellent. Our waitresses were friendly and attentive even as the place got busier.
