Everything was perfect! Starting with the friendly lady that seated us, then our lovely server and our comfortable corner booth. Our food was plentiful and hot! I had the Bacon Jam Burger with a creamy chicken and rice soup. My daughter had a skillet with pancakes. The pancakes were fluffy, sweet and buttery. The skillet was huge and filled with sausage, peppers, onion, eggs, potatoes and cheese. My burger was so good and topped with bacon, egg and cheese on a brioche bun. I'm glad we arrived early on a Saturday because we got right in no waiting. Leaving there were people on both sides of the building waiting for seats to open up. The food was all good. Not jump up and down fantastic but good. The skillet potatoes were almost undercooked. The chilaquiles was a bit bland and too much cheese for me. It was nothing wrong enough I would complain or send it back. The coffee was good. Service left a bit to be desired. It almost seems unfair to rate a restaurant during the trail ends (hopefully) of COVID. I know staffing is an issue for every place. They seemed to have enough people, but you just don't know. Close to our hotel, we drove over for some brunch. Street parking was easy to find but traffic can be busy in this area. All the tables were full but they were able to seat us at the bar, which worked perfect for the 2 of us. We had multiple servers taking care of us and it did seem like they were possibly understaffed/overwhelmed. I had the French Toast Combo with a fresh orange juice. You can see their orange juice machine right there so I knew it was fresh, which was great. I enjoyed my meal but the hash browns were just a pile of mushy potatoes. The portion was huge but I'd prefer crispier cooked hash browns rather than what we had. I enjoyed my French toast and sausage as well. For the price, I was beyond full. I've driven past this place so many times, this morning I decided to pop in to this local spot. Shaun was a great server this morning, she was very friendly and she smiled and makes sure that the food came out correctly and promptly. There was a rush of activity at the front door, two individuals with pajamas and slippers on, made me feel immediately like "There must be something about this place" people literally gett straight out of bed to come dine here, oh we must be in for a treat!!! And we were!!!!! Make sure your appetite is on 10, because the portions are sinful!!!! The food was good , we both had Omelettes with generous amounts of meat in them. I didn't see Vegan friendly options though. The service was fantastic , the pricing a little high, but on par with other places which these days run on the high end for a meal. The restaurant is quite cozy and quaint. The food was good. I'm sorry my pictures are after I already started eating I was so hungry I just dove right in! I ordered the Steak Skillet with pancakes and my acquaintance had Corn Beef Hash with pancakes. I am skeptical when it comes to pancakes, but these pancakes were actually REALLY good. They were perfectly golden, soft, but not mushy inside they had powdered sugar on them. I'm sorry I didn't take a picture when they initially came. But they were really good. My skillet was good also only issue for me was they use skirt steak and if you're a steak eater, you know that skirt steak can be kind of tough. So the meat was kind of tough but the ingredients inside the green peppers, onions, mushrooms, and pepper jack cheese etc. was really good. I probably should have just gotten a veggie skillet. The waitress I don't remember her name was really nice very professional. Our food came really quickly. There is free on the street parking and a lot on the premises or across the street. Sunday morning before 8:30 we were seated right away. I ordered the steak skillet and a waffle with blueberry compote and my girlfriend ordered a waffle and bacon. Service was great. For me the food was good and the portion size was huge. Was it something I would write home about - no. The place was jammed packed by 9:30 am. Not much parking in the back so if you are not a early bird be prepared to look for a parking spot on the street. The food here is absolutely amazing!! The first time I went I got a burger and it was delicious no complaints about it. My mom and I came here for Sunday brunch. We parked on the street because the lot was full and pretty tight but it wasn't a big issue. Waited inside for a table for about 15 min (expected) and got sat by the kitchen. Food was served in a decent time and it was very tasty. Our waitress was nice but didn't really pay attention to the order was kind of just trying to turn tables quickly. I ordered egg whites and got regular scrambled eggs. Didn't send it back though because I didn't feel like waiting. Had a question about the pancake I ordered vs the one I received and got a one word answer as she continued walking. My plate still had 1/2 a plate of food on it and twice someone tried to take it (buser then the waitress) which was like sheesh I know there's a lot of people waiting but can I enjoy my food. I was ok with eating here, but, it's been a while and not happy I did. I took a chance on the "chilaquiles" breakfast and been with an upset stomach all afternoon. Overdone with cheese and salsa verde which most likely salsa was not hand-made in house. So avoid this altogether, it is not done authentically. In town for youth hockey tourney and found this place after a morning game . Loved it! Great independent eatery with GREAT food. Staff was all smiling and having a good time interacting with customers. The breakfast plates all had familiar names and ingredients, but what the cooks do with them is impressive. When people care, you can tell. Party of four and everyone got something different and I would gladly have switched my plate with anyone's and been happy. I was full when it was over and can I say the red velvet French toast is the best thing I've ever had in that vein at a breakfast house bar none. It must have been 8000 calories and worth it. I was yelling in my phone, and she still could not get the order correct due to the background noise. After repeating myself 10 times, I finally just hung up and went to a different restaurant. If you know, that's an issue, and they obviously do, then they need to rectify this. Take the call in the back room. They were still fairly busy but they work very quickly getting parties seated even with limited seating. They also have some outdoor seating. I wasn't too thrilled with the breakfast. I had the French toast meal. I thought the toast was pretty basic, along with everything else. But my family members liked their food. The service was great! I was exceptionally pleased with this place. It's located right on the corner of Christiana and 111th street. A cozy and intimate diner that feels like home as soon as you walk in the door. We were greeted by a friendly and welcoming hostess who was able to immediately accommodate our party of 3. The time between being seated, ordering and our food making its way to the table was around 30 minutes and seemed much shorter tbh. The food was great. I had the steak skillet and would more than likely order it again. No one complained about the food and I don't believe anyone had any leftover. I'd give this place 5 stars.
