Bacon, eggs, and hash brown with English muffins
    Darryl W.

I found this nice breakfast spot, bacon, and jam in the suburbs of Chicago. It happens to be a hangout for Long enforcement and it's right across the street from the Catholic church. We were seated very quickly. The service was excellent and the food came out quick and it was really good. I would highly recommend it! on this particular day, I enjoyed the waffle. I also had chicken sausage and eggs and hashbrowns. They were excellent. My wife enjoyed the bacon eggs hashbrowns with English muffins. Everything came out quickly. The coffee was hot. Hashbrowns were crispy the way we like it I would highly recommend this location.

Needed a breakfast place to meet a friend at. Saw Bacon and Jam someone posted on their tik tok video so decided to try it out. There is parking behind the restaurant but the lot was full. Plenty of street parking, however due to the crowd, it's tough finding a spot. The inside is on the smaller side but has as many seats/tables/booths that can fit. The waiting area is very small. Diner type of vibe. Our server was incredibly cool and down to earth. She remembered our orders and we had substitutions. I enjoyed a veggie omelette with hash browns and toast. The portions are huge and the food was really good. This is the perfect place to enjoy a good quick breakfast. They have a time limit on dining as it stays pretty crowded, which i appreciated! I'll be back for sure to try something different.

What a yummy brunch! Upon walking in, we were greeted by several flyers of fallen police officers. After waiting approx. 30 minutes, we were seated amidst the hustle bustle of the Sunday brunch rush, a lively and fast paced vibe! We got the opa omelette and the cajun skillet, both with a side of pancakes with their famous sweet stuff - and oh wow, portions were generous and flavors were delicious! Overall, super yummy and a great bang for your buck!

Today was the second time going here with my dad. We had been before a couple of years ago when I had to send back undercooked pancakes. Lo and behold, his pancakes had a gooey center with a hard outer. The cooktop must be too hot so the cakes are cooked too hard on the outside but not left on long enough to cook the inside. My pancakes weren't gooey but they were hard and not fluffy. Otherwise, we both had omelettes. Mine was the Bavo. It was a 2.5/5 because it was lacking seasoning. He had the butcher and was also unimpressed. The hash browns were satisfactory. Lastly, the water carafe was dirty (see photo) and the water cups were covered with water stains. My dad asked for better cups and the server, Sheryl, was kind enough to bring us to-go water cups with lids. Sheryl made the experience much better overall. She even sent a manager after she had asked my dad how his experience was, and he mentioned the gooey pancakes and that this had happened to me during our last visit. The manager, a man with a brown beard, couldn't have been less interested. We told him we didn't ask for a manager, the server asked him to come to us. He said ok, took away the pancakes and left the table. I'd suggest going somewhere else if you're looking for a nice breakfast in the area.

Came in for breakfast on a weekday morning. Has a nice name. Staff was good at refilling coffee. Went bacon, scrambled eggs and hashbrown route with toast. Thought the eggs should have been scrambled broken up instead of one big scrambled piece of egg.

Had a great breakfast experience today! The food was really good and came out fresh and hot. My waitress, Nicole, was especially attentive and provided excellent service throughout the visit. She made sure everything was just right and checked in at the perfect times. Definitely a spot I'd come back to for breakfast!

Great fast friendly service I... I wanted breakfast but wasn't sure as there are many menu options for lunch as well. I did chose the French toast combo...with bacon, scrambled eggs and cheese and hash browns fried with onions! The half French toast was huge I got mine plain. The eggs and bacon were cooked to perfection and I could taste the real butter in hash browns and eggs! Bravo My sister enjoyed her bacon jam burger as well I will be back!

I was in Chicago with my wife for her cousins wedding. We found this place on Yelp and decided to go for breakfast. The staff were very inviting upon arrival and we were sat. We had to wait about 20 Minutes for a table as the place is cozy. If you have a group everyone must be there before being seated ( we waited a little longer because my cousin was late. Once sat we were greeted promptly and drink Oder taken. I had the half order of French toast which was a large portion (eggs, sausage links, hash browns and French toast). The eggs tasted a bit different (not sure how to explain it) had a tart taste to it. There were 3 of us and we all agreed. The rest of the food was good. French toast was moist and thick, sausage was very tender and flavorful, and hash browns were cooked well with no seasoning though. The coffee was great! One of the best cups I've had at a restaurant. Overall it was an enjoyable breakfast. Just change that egg recipe.

Bacon and Jam is on Chicago's south side in the Mount Greenwood neighborhood on 111th a few blocks west of Kedzie. It's a quaint spot, they do have their own parking lot, but you can also find street parking too. The hubby had the buttermilk pancakes with a Southwest Omelette which includes the grilled chicken, poblano peppers, goat cheese, corn, black beans and pico de Gallo. I had the very berry waffle which is made with challah bread and topped with strawberries and blueberries and drizzled with raspberry and vanilla sauces. It was great and I'll definitely be back!

While in town this past April, we met up with friends to this brunch spot. Let me tell you all the food was so good! I especially loved the blueberry and multigrain pancakes. They make delicious eggs which to me is how I just breakfast restaurants if their made fluffy and light; not hard. Also, the soup was so good and fresh. Also, our waitress so nice and personable. This will definitely be one of my fav brunch places when I travel back to Chicago. Try to support local, you won't be disappointed.

Thick, creamy, smooth and rich. The cinnamon came through warm but not too strong, plus a little extra on top that hit your nose before the first sip. Sweet and it almost had this slight earthy note too... hard to explain but good. It even had that little design on top, like the ones they do on cappuccinos. Didn't expect that but it was cool. Once I bit into it, the inside was soft, airy, and slightly chewy from the sourdough, which made it different from a regular donut. There was a subtle tang from the sourdough that balanced the sweetness really well, so it never felt overly sugary. Their pineapple buns and egg tarts are her favorites as well. Saint Anna has also been part of our daughter's childhood. When she was little, my husband used to bring her here before or after Chinese school in Chinatown on Sundays. Her go-to breakfast items were the Butter Bun, Ham and Macaroni in Soup, and Diced Ham and Corn in Cream Rice. As she got older, Curry Chicken with Potato became her favorite. She especially loved the potato cubes soaked in the delicious, mild curry sauce. She would always ask for more potatoes and less chicken, haha!
