Nice and chill coffee spot in Kaimuki. There's some space to do some work there and they also have free wifi. The place is fairly quiet, I visited on a weekday. Not really fan of their matcha lattes as I find them a bit too sweet for my taste, but I really like their iced coffees because they use coffee cubes so your coffee will not get watered down :) Shared (free) parking with Sushiya and Boston Pizza.

I was looking forward to trying this coffee shop, but it didn't quite meet my expectations. We ordered a banana bread latte, cold lava brew, and iced monkey mocha. They were pretty bland. There wasn't much banana flavor. Overall, they all just tasted watered down. The service was ok. The staff wasn't rude, but compared to other coffee shops, they didn't come across as very welcoming or friendly. I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to come back. Hopefully, it was just an off day for them.

Badass Coffee in Kaimuki has a great variety of drinks, from iced and hot coffee to frozen options. They also have teas and other drinks, with their "coffee ice" being a fun signature touch served with iced coffees. The Koffee Koolers are good too, though they can be pretty sweet and contain dairy. The birthday cake cookie was delicious! The workers are friendly, drinks come out quickly, and the store is clean with a good amount of tables if you want to get some work done. Overall, a solid spot for coffee and a quick work session.

Came for a morning breakfast and coffee stop and this place was soo cute! Parking was a little small but the ambiance of the cafe was nice and relaxing with some open seating and plenty of outlets against the wall. The mocha was great! Chocolate and coffee was well balanced!

I was excited to see that there was a Bad Ass Coffee location on O'ahu! Since we were already in the area for brunch, we decided to stop by and give it a try. I ordered the bad ass mocha and it was good, but nothing that really stood out. It tasted similar to other dark chocolate and white chocolate mochas I've had before. My boyfriend ordered an Arnold Palmer type drink made with one of their flavored lemonades, and he thought it was just ok as well. The shop itself was clean, spacious, and had a nice atmosphere! The employees were friendly, and our drinks came out pretty fast. They also have a large menu with a lot of coffee and non-coffee options, so I'm sure there's something for everyone.

When you first enter Bad Ass Coffee, it has the feel of a corporate chain. Well, Kaimuki has enough artisinal coffee shops; it's time for a coffee franchise to infiltrate the neighborhood on the corner ( or should I say at the ass crack ) of Waialae Avenue amd 10th Ave. Next to Kaimuki's Boston Pizza - in the old sushi place's unit. I often purchase an espresso doppio or pour over on my initial visit to a coffee shop. But when I saw the Koffee Koolers on the menu, I changed my mindset. I had to get a Caramel Kick; Big Kahuna sized. By the way, I had a feeling this was going to be a good coffee milkshake when seeing the slushie machine and that it was spelled with a K...even though we are not in Germany or Sweden ( Kaffee / Kaffe , respectively )...yes it spelled out fun times. The Caramel Kick was super sweet, but super satisfying and smooth to drink. It was better than any frappe, frappuccino, or ice blended that I've had. A few parking stalls...not sure if they are dedicated or not. A few tables in a spacious floor space. Order on the right and pickup - online as well - to the left of the counter. Hours are 6 to 6 for 5 weekdays. They operate from 700a till 500p on weekends. Now, as an aside, for the koffee geeks; they feature a Rancilio commercial espresso machine. I am used to seeing La Marzocco at Oahu coffee shops...though I've also seen Simonelli, Sanremo, Casadio, Slayer, and Mavam.

Located in Kaimuki on Waialae Ave What I tried: Iced Bad Ass Mocha Latte Chocolate Muffin (my daughter wanted it, she said it's good lol) The coffee wasn't as strong and the mocha flavor wasn't too heavy. However, I would like to go back and try the other lattes! The place itself has a laid back vibe and the wait wasn't that long. They also sell breakfast sandwiches and bakery items as well as their own coffee to make at home! The parking area up front is small so you may need to find street parking if it's busy. This place is worth a try if you're in the area!

Newest coffee spot in Kaimuki! We ordered the Three Waves and Hazelnut Hula lattes both with oat milk. Coffee is good and strong! They even use ice made out of their own coffee so that when it melts down it still has that coffee flavor. No watery coffee here! Menu offers a variety of things from lattes, blended drinks, teas, food, etc. Service is quick. Although the shop was not busy while I was there, I noticed that the baristas did not offer any greetings and remained on their phone even while preparing the drinks. Inside is cute, clean and cozy. There are a few seats and counter seating. Wifi is provided. Parking is a small lot that is shared with other business or you could find street metered parking. Definitely will be back to try their other items.

All the drinks we ordered were well made and tasted so good. I got the hazelnut hula and my friend got the sky latte. Drinks were sooo good - 10 / 10. Service was quick and the barista was friendly! As far as ambiance, it's a good place to enjoy your drink but don't get too cozy m. There are a few tables, bar chairs, and couch chairs to sit and enjoy your coffee. Oh, I also ordered a birthday cookie for my son. That was tasty. There were some things that they didn't have. It said "temporarily unavailable" which is understandable since they just opened a few months ago. I'd still come back for their coffee.

It's not so bad... Yes they're know for coffee but this matcha lover just had to give it a try knowing it won't be the same but then again it's a great option to find that here as well since I didn't expect to see it at all but they do have a wonderful selection of non coffee drinks available as well so you need to check out this newbie in Kaimuki. 'Besides having wonderful choices of drink and some hot and a few grab and go items is that they do have a few seating available inside with two tables and a couple of comfy chairs with four counter seating for those who like to work makes it a great spot along with having a restroom as well makes it all come plate including free wifi. Parking maybe the biggest challenge with just a few stalls they share with other biz there are quite a few metered parking along Waialae which I did so if you just swinging by for a sip it's an easy spot to do so. Other fun features is that if you follow them on Instagram you can score a free koozie and if you join their Ohana Reward by downloading their app you can order online and rack up points for rewards for free sandwich or drink and as the staff is nice and friendly also efficient as my drink came out fast...and how was it okay the usual matcha and cafes sweeter than usual but I enjoyed it though the next time I would like to try their coffee as it looked like they use their brewed coffee as ice cubes so that it wouldn't be watered down and stay strong in flavor and keeps you going lol! Love this newbie as it already seems popular to our local folks where you can find a spot to chill to do whatever even if it is Bad Ass. Thank you!

Refreshing beverage in Kaimuki, Honolulu, Hawai'i... I have seen Bad Ass Coffee Company in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. I know that they're even on Maui! Finally, they've arrived in Honolulu! Located on the corner of 10th Avenue and Waialae Avenue, Bad Ass refers to the hard-working donkeys on the coffee plantations. I saw a cute donkey plushie in the store and tried to get it through the app, but it's not there. That's why I had to download the app - and in the process, got $5 off my next purchase, bonus "Lei" (which are like "Stars" at another coffee company), and other perks! Parking is free in the residential area, and there are a few stalls in front of the building along Waialae Avenue, next to Sushiya and Boston Pizza. Service was friendly and helpful! I learned that the pickup area for mobile orders is around the corner, at the beginning of the hallway to the convenient restroom. There's a cozy area for dining in! On my first visit, I got the Matcha Latte with soy milk ($1.30 upcharge) and a Portuguese sausage sandwich which had egg and cheese filling in the croissant... delicious! On my second visit, I got the Matcha Latte with coconut milk ($1.30 upcharge) and a bonus 17 Stars for St. Patrick's Day... thank you! Welcome to Honolulu, Bad Ass Coffee! Wishing you much success and happiness!

Cool new coffee shop opened in Kaimuki! Shares a parking lot with Boston's. Limited spots at lot but metered parking nearby. Bad Ass coffee offers quality drinks, ranging from matcha, chai to mana energy drinks and coffee. I would recommend trying one of their signature drinks, less sweet. You can choose what type of milk you want but the default is whole milk. The coffee is nice and smooth. I enjoyed my iced latte. The ice for coffee drinks are frozen iced coffee cubes! How fun! My boyfriend's iced dirty chai was yummy too. Will try the pasties and other drinks at a later time! Be sure to join their rewards program. Friendly staff, cute cafe with restroom, outlets and limited indoor seating. Will be back!

It was pretty standard and I tried their "The Original" iced coffee which was more like a frappe. It was a cute coffee lol it was blended so it felt more like a milkshake - it was thick. Service was quick and they call out your name on the other side for pick-up. There was places to sit down but it still didn't have much tables available when I went. It was actually pretty crowded so keep that in mind. Pretty standard and it's another option if other cafes in the neighborhood are too crowded. Also if you were hoping to get the free coozie for following them on Instagram too bad because they gave it all away lol *sigh*

Gettin that pick me up before the gym - order the Turtle Kick!!

"Portuguese sausage" and "scone" are not words that one would expect to be placed together…read more Hawaii's favorite breakfast sausage is more often associated with rice and eggs or scrambled into an omelette. But trust me, you must try this scone. And when they ask you if you want it toasted, always say yes. This Portuguese sausage scone is everything. The edges are delightfully crispy and the inside is moist. There's a slight sweetness, which is offset by the saltiness of the little gems of sausage scattered throughout. There's enough butter for richness, but not too much where it feels oily. I dare say it's my favorite scone on island. The drinks are highly recommended too. The lavender honey matcha is delicately floral and the honey adds just the right amount of sweetness. The velvet cream cold brew and honey cinnamon latte are great coffee options. Everything is reasonably priced and high quality. Customer service is wonderful. There seem to be quite of lot of regulars here, which is always a good sign. Parking is a little limited but I've always found a space whenever I've come here. There are a bunch of tables and free WiFi, so it's the perfect spot to get some work or studying done. It is quiet here with soft music. Note that 20% tip is automatically selected when paying by card. I wasn't paying attention and just advanced forward. Unfortunately I love their coffee so so much, but it's not very often they make it correctly…read more I always get their iced earl grey latte, but I saw on the screen it said "hot" so I told the staff and they said they knew it would be cold but they can't find the button for cold. However, they didn't communicate with their barista, so they made me a hot latte. I told the barista and they rolled their eyes and sighed at the mistake (directed at their coworker who messed up- not me) and they did remake it. Then I went in with my mom and she asked if she could please have a corner piece of the pastry we got. Barista said "of course," but didn't communicate to their coworker and they gave us a middle piece. Annoying but whatever, but on the same trip I ordered the same iced earl grey latte I always get and I saw they put in "earl grey tea" on the POS machine and I told her about the error and it was supposed to be the latte not the tea. She said there wasn't a button for it and they would make the latte. However, after waiting a few minutes, they left the store and the coworker took over and they told me they were working on my order, but they were in the back for some reason (espresso machine is in the front- but maybe they had one in the back too?) but they came out with a hot for here drink and I told them it was supposed to be Togo and iced. They came back and then I realized the reason it took 10 minutes waiting is because they made me fresh hot tea. After waiting about 15 min three in total I decided to accept the defeat and not say anything. Weeks before this, I got a bagel with cream cheese and I should've checked before I left but they didn't give me cream cheese. So I paid $4 for toasted bread. Every time I come in, whoever I'm with and I are so baffled by the service and what we get. It seems like the staff never communicate with each other and even when you do communicate with the staff, it doesn't pay off. I've had a couple times where I go to order or ask the staff something but they are on FaceTime chatting and it feels like I'm interrupting. To be fair, it's my fault for going so many times but I like to support local, didn't want to write them off for a little mistake (but its just consistent now), and I love their lattes when they do make it correctly, but I guess I'm just going to learn how to make an Earl Grey latte at home from now and I hope I can make it close to how much I loved theirs.
