I love Bad Daddy's. I was so thrilled when visiting that I noticed one had opened here in Norman. I haven't had it since living in Colorado. We ordered the classic buffalo wings and the truffle wings. Both orders were delicious but the truffle takes the cake for me. We also ordered the deviled eggs. I enjoyed their spin on a classic deviled egg and the sauce that it's served with is really good. My husband got the black bean burger, phenomenal. Best veggie burger out there. I got the sliders, super yummy and the perfect portion size. Our two other guests loved their food. One built their own burger and the other ordered sliders too! At first glance, this place seems like a fantastic lunch or weekend game spot. We walked into a really cool vibe with no wait on a weekend. Our service was top notch! Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and had an awesome personality! I ordered whichever burger had mushroom and Swiss and it was really good. I have issues with the patty itself. It lacked seasoning! I had to add a lot of pepper to it to give it any flavor at all. Thankfully, the mushrooms gave it a little flavor and the bun was good. I also got tater tots with shredded cheese on top and those were great. I feel like this place is worth trying and maybe going to a few times, but has not made it into my cravings list. The deviled eggs are AMAZING. My all American burger was a mess. Too much ketchup and mustard and all the lettuce fell out, way too sloppy to enjoyably eat. The kids enjoyed the Mac and cheese but it reminded me of velveeta. My husband didn't like the buttermilk fried bacon. I might return to try something different but I felt the burger wasn't enjoyable and was expensive. We waited for our food about 40 minutes. We didn't get an appetizer. The server kept saying the food was about to come out but that wasn't true. When the food came out it was barely warm. The sides were forgotten off of both meals. The place was kind of busy when we came in but all the tables were already eating and no one came in after us since it was late. OK let me just say the food here is amazing and the customer service was even better! I got to create my own burger and pretty much checked off every box for the selection lol the burgers are enormous so make sure to go on an empty stomach. Great burger spot in Norman! To drink I had the bourbon apple mule and it was very tasty. We started with fried pickles and then the manager came by to chat and offered us a complimentary order of deviled eggs. they both were amazing. They have a really extensive menu but I opted to build my own and i was in awe. Cooked to perfection and their Bad Daddy's sauce is great. I would give this restaurant NO stars if possible. 1. The Hosts are rude and disrespectful. They will make snide comments about you as you're walking in and walking away. One of the hosts made fun of my weight as we were walking to our table. 2. When we got to our table (asked for a booth) the seats were covered in crumbs and old food, the table was sticky and dirty like it was wiped down with a dirty rag and they left the table damp, to where the menus were sticking to the table. The light on the wall was caked in dust, and under the table was disgusting, 3. We ordered an appetizer (Fried Pickles) while waiting we could here every conversation that the kitchen staff and servers were having in the back. I had two children with me and we almost decided to just leave due to the amount of profanity and sexual discussions. When our Friend Pickles came out they were not warm, barley any breading! Just soggy pickles that were WAY TOO SALTY. We ended up not eating them and just had the server take them away. My husband decided he wanted a beer and I decided to get a Margarita, our server asked my husband for his ID, so I got mine out thinking she would need to check mine. She flat out told me "You're old enough for a drink, I don't need to see yours" WTF is that supposed to mean, 4. I ordered a Fried Mozzarella Burger with tots , My husband ordered a Bad A** Burger with Onion Rings , and our kids got a slider with fruit and Mac n cheese with fries. The Mozzarella Burger was supposed to be Well Done and it was almost Medium Rare, I sent it back twice, my tots were warm and we found a bug in the bowl. The bad a** burger was greasy, so much grease it covered the plate, The fried bacon was so undercooked. The fruit for our daughter had moldy apple slices, and a fruit fly. 5. When we asked to speak to a manager our server Paige got short with us, and asked if she could help. Honestly that was the worst server I've ever had. She was super short and snappy. She rolled her eyes when we asked for a manager. A manager never came by. So we asked her again and she said they were really busy and the managers didn't have time to deal with us!!! Like EXCUSE ME. If my food has bugs in it and is undercooked I think the manager deserves to know, 6. When paying for our overpriced food, that we didn't even eat, and had no communication with a manager, our server just stared at us and told us we HAVE TO TIP. We understand the food was not her fault but her attitude made the whole experience unsettling. Not to mention we saw multiple "manager looking people" walking around talking to other tables. 7. The music is SO LOUD. You can barley hear your server or have any conversation. This place is more like a bar than a restaurant. Definitely NOT family friendly! We enjoyed this restaurant more than we thought we would. I know, not the most inspiring opener to a restaurant review, but when you're headed to what appears to be a chain restaurant in Norman, OK for a quick lunch, you don't really get your hopes up. Man, were we surprised. With an EXCELLENT waitress who steered us through the menu, we ended up stuffed with some pretty darned good comfort food in our bellies. I split a burger and a Greek salad with my friend, and both portions were huge. The hubs had a chicken sandwich and the kiddo had chicken strips. Not inspiring by the sounds of it, but all were MASSIVE with significant portions eaten by all. The best part was the banana pudding we ordered for dessert. Oh my lord. We polished the whole thing off. YUM. We will return the next time we are in Norman. And next time, the entire family may split an entree to save room for dessert. read more

Stayed a night in Norman during a recent road trip to visit some relatives in Oklahoma. Got to my Hotel in the evening and a nice hotel and everything, but not a great place to have dinner so jumped on Yelp for a recommendation nearby. Bad Daddy's was on the list and after a days drive a hamburger sounded perfect. I was alone so volunteered to sit at the bar (it was a bit crowded as it was a Friday night). The bar area was nice with 2 TVs so was able to watch the NBA playoffs. The Bartender was super friendly, recognizing my first visit helped me along in my decision. I went with the Bad Ass burger (as opposed to creating my own; a large portion of the menu dedicated to the creation of virtually any type of burger you can think of), fries and the house beer. The hamburger was really good, cooked just right (medium as I requested)... the buttermilk fried bacon pushed it over the top. Fries were very good as well. A bit on the pricey side, but well worth it in my view, will certainly come back next time in town. read more

SALT MUCH?? Burgers here are large and juicy with fresh toppings...But food was super salty. Not sure if it was the pesto on my burger or what. Then the onion rings, again, very salty. Rings had more flaws, too much breading, onion mushy inside, too few in a serving, but were saved by that lovely pickle juice-heavy house sauce of theirs. Thankfully their sweet potato fries were spared excess salt and were super yummy. Burgers are also kinda pricey with some costing around $15, however they do come with a side. Atmosphere inside focuses on their prominent bar with a fun social vibe. The few tables outdoors on the sidewalk feel like you're dining right in the strip mall parking lot, but at least they tried. Our food also came out super slow, taking twice the time they said it would be. And they forgot our order of fries. But eventually it was all sorted out. I want to like this place! It's nice having a national rising star serving quality food settle nearby. But I'm frustrated with this one. There were just too many problems with our meal. They definitely have loads of potential. Burgers rang in the $11-$14 range but that are big enough to where it's worth it. Pros: I first ordered the Bad Ass Margarita and wow! That this is strong! One and you're done!! This is great because you done waste money on crappy watered down drinks. It was great and hit the spot. After that I ordered the bacon cheese burger with sweet truffle fries. Anyone who says truffle fries, I a hooked!!! The burger was huge. Next time I'll bring a car jack to open my mouth wide enough to get it all! It was flavorful and hit the spot.
