After our terrible experience at lunch yesterday, I can not let my 5 star review stand. I can deal with problems. In fact, I have been quite generous during this terrible time and try to only leave reviews of our positive outings. But what I can not forgive is a snippy, nasty, uncaring waitress. We sat for almost an hour while we watched others who came in way after we did receive their food. My attempts to flag down our waitress- who went past up about 10 times- went ignored. Finally I had to get up, put my mask on and literally block her on her way back into the kitchen to ask what was holding up our food. I won't bore Yelpers with the details of our exchanges with this woman, but suffice it to say that our previous wonderful experiences at this place are seriously tainted now and I don't know if we will ever go back... read more

Bad Monkey is such an exciting twist on breakfast. The entire place is vibrant and modern. Their menu has the expected items, like eggs and pancakes, plus flavors you may never have heard of. Everything was absolutely delicious and we left stuffed. Next time we're in Maryland this place will definitely make it on our to do list. read more

The chicken cheese steak was so good and he got the Buffalo chicken cheese steak and loved it as well! The parm truffle fries were so yummy! And the homemade rolls on our subs were too good! Hit up bad Monkey for breakfast during Jeep week in OCean City, MD. The food was great, the servers outstanding and the atmosphere fun! We heard it was the best place for breakfast, it was definitely the best place we ate on our 4 day trip. We went during the pandemic lockdown and they took all the standard precautions you would expect. Everyone was wearing masks your food is t touch by un gloved hands. So bonus points for that. OK on to the food.. party of two I got the "Man Up" A great mix of scrapple sausage and bacon, scrabbled eggs over potatoes and jalapeños was outstanding.. my wife got the crazy monkey which is kinda your standard 2 eggs, 2 breakfast meat toast, potatoes and 1 pancake your choice of fruit.. really good and a lot of food! read more

Stopped here after we ate at the other location a couple years ago while vacationing. Just like the other location the monkey bread was fresh and delicious, my omelette was perfect and the coffee was amazing! The service was excellent and the nice woman in the gift shop entertained my daughter while we browsed. They didn't even charge us when my wife accidentally dropped and broke a coffee mug. Bad Monkey is a must visit for us when we visit ocean city. read more

We were seated promptly for lunch and the server came right away for drink orders. It was nice and steady and service was fantastic. I got the patty melt and it was cooked properly. I did have to cut off some of the bread because it was overkill. My husband got a jalapeño burger and really enjoyed it. Our daughter got a burger that she could just build her own. It was pretty basic but she finished it so it must've been good. No room for dessert but we will definitely try this place again. read more

We came here for breakfast and the food was very delicious! I got the cream chipped beef and my husband got the breakfast tacos. We had mimosas that had fresh juice as well. No complaints. Took the family to the new location on Ocean Hwy. Thank for having an elevator to the 2nd floor dining area as my wife needed it due to knee problems. We were promptly seated. Our server , Elizabeth was very attentive. When I ordered a glass of wine for before dinner, she included a glass of water! . We ordered wings, pulled pork, burgers, and a kale with grilled chicken . HAIR IN FOOD - Food was very expensive and finding your way in was hard enough. Saw several people go in the wrong way due to there being no signage. It is a very small area upstairs, when somebody was seated next to us it felt like we were on a double date with strangers. Ended up finding a hair in our food the server seemed very unimpressed and did not say much to us after that and was not at all apologetic. They comped us but still, poor customer service. read more

Visited here for the first time on a Sunday morning. There was 6 of us in our party and were sat at a table directly in the sun with no shade. I literally had to wear my sunglasses inside during the entire visit. Service was extremely slow bar service especially. There was an odd mix up when food was brought out we received half of the food from someone else's table. Without an apology or explanation they gave us food then snatched it back without saying anything. We were confused until we talked to the table next to us....just very odd how it was handled. Food was just ok without much flavor. Breakfast potatoes made up for all the seasoning in everyone's food. Maybe next time we'll give it a try for lunch or dinner. read more

Stopped by Bad Monkey West OC for a quick bite to eat on the way to the White Marlin Open last night. Food, Drinks and Atmosphere were AWESOME!!! huge portions of quality food (we had the Delmar Burger, onion rings and Guac) Can't beat 2 for 1 drinks during happy hour and the bartender, Chase, was great! Highly recommend and we definitely will be returning soon read more

Love love love this place. Always went to the OC location but the West OC is closer to us Food is great! Love the atmosphere and the views out back. Service is pretty good. We love their Bloody Marys. During tourist season it does get super busy so arrive early and expect a wait! But it's worth it. read more

We loved the food, decor & service! We couldn't hear anyone talking because the music was blasting. So that's the only reason for a 4 instead of a 5. There's a great view, busy bar, TVs & easy parking. There's even an elevator if you don't want to do stairs! We peeked inside the shop but will be back another time soon. read more

Not at all good service! I was there on 8/18/2019 for breakfast/brunch- Brandon S was the server. I was by myself. I was seated outside near the staircase and few minutes later another family was seated not far from me. It took almost 16 or more minutes to acknowledge me and ask for drinks (at-least) - and mind you, it wasn't a busy morning! As I was by myself I was watching people/other server(s). There was another server(an energetic one) on the other section of the open area. She seemed very friendly and efficient. After me, 3/4 table were seated and served on that girl's area but I was hardly acknowledged. Another family of 5 was seated next to me after few minutes. Brandon seem to acknowledge them faster than me!! People were brought munches/breads(whatever they were) while waiting. I never got one! I thought maybe he forgot...I let it go. Finally he came to take my order because I happen to stare at him while he was going around collecting checks from previous table. I gave him the order for Funky Monkey but asked him to substitute fruits instead of the meat. He said ok, poured the coffee and went away....and awayyyyy did he go!! He did come back but went to that table of 5 next to me. He did the same - took the order and never returned (almost)!!! I waited almost 20 minutes before my food came! I wanted another coffee - I never got...as the first coffee was already too cold. I wanted another napkin, ketchup and spoon to stir the sugar in coffee - never got. Finally, the guy (from table of 5) started to grumble about the wait, food being cold and late serving to another server. She wasn't considerate either!! At the end, when the receipt/bill came, I was charged extra for fruits too. I never saw that guy again after my order was taken...I was just left there.... Anyway, my experience at this establish was horrible and I don't recommend anyone to go there to eat!! read more

Ehh not too bad not too great. The price is what kills you. I'm surprised they price their meals so high considering the competition around them. Overall, I wouldn't recommend but I would never turn this place down. The food isn't bad but there's no wow factor or "this is REALLLLY good" just a decent meal to fill up your tummies. Tried Bad Monkey this past weekend. I've been to the one in Ocean City. Unfortunately the one in West OC needs some improvement. We ordered the fries with crab and bacon dip and the dish was cold and fries were not even crunchy. The taste of the crab was good, it just needed to be hot. The sub we ordered was nothing spectacular. The bread was stale. Very little sliced beef in the sub and the sub was cold even though it was supposed to be a hot sub. The service was fair. It was not that busy so I figured the wait staff would have been more attentive. The table behind us ordered the same fries and actually sent it back for the same reason. I think they need to train the cook staff to time the food better so it's not cold. Unless I hear better reviews, I will not be back. My suggestion would be to try to mirror the flag ship restaurant in Ocean City. read more

Sadly we did not get to try any of the food here. We wasted half an hour driving to the location for lunch and arrived just before 12:30 to be told "we just stopped serving breakfast and don't start serving lunch until 1:30." What kind of restaurant that has a lunch menu doesn't serve lunch between 12:30 and 1:30? I was disappointed to be turned away when the website doesn't say anything about the kitchen being closed for an hour in the middle of lunch. read more

I just finished having brunch here and it was delicious. The kids usually get bored to tears at restaurants and they loved it too. Service was friendly and fast. You get the sense that all the employees really enjoy working there and it resonates. Overall the place has an awesome relaxed vibe. Can't wait to go back and try out their lunch menu. By far the worst restaurant I ever been to and sadly I didn't even get to try the food. Worst customer service ever I was floored at how a restaurant staff can be that rude. My family and I went to sit down just today for dinner. There was no waiting, as we were seated right away. We waited and waited and waited for a server to AT LEAST say "someone will be with you shortly." But NOTHING. I asked the table next to us if they took long to be waited on, and they said "no, they helped us right away." Mind you the restaurant was empty. There was about 5 bartenders staring at us and not a single bartender even walked over and said a word. Then the same table we asked if it took long for them to be waited on, the blonde haired waitress walked over and offered them water. Didn't even acknowledge us or offer us water. We are from out of state. This never ever has happened to us in our state. Needless to say we left and went to Sunset Grille. By far way better service than this place. Oh and we also asked another table next to us if it took long for them to be served and they said it took them a while too. (Maybe because one woman was African American and we were hispanic)‍ hate to say it but there is no other reason why at an empty restaurant you have your entire staff walking by us and not even say a word to us. read more

I'm a seafood lover but this was the best meal we had out while visiting Ocean City. The burgers were huge and delicious. I had the Delmar which said it came with their crab dip on it. I was expecting a dollop, instead it was like an appetizer worth of crab dip on this burger and was delicious. The rest of the family got burgers and a crab cake sandwich and they were equally big and filled with toppings. We had all agreed that we were going to get their monkey bread for dessert but we're so filled by the time that came that we had to pass. The service was good and weee checked on frequently and never had a empty cup. The best part was we walked right in at 7pm and when we drove past their other location on Ocean Blvd, the line was still out the door. Well worth the drive to West OC. And price wise, it was one of the cheaper meals we had while down there as compared to what we paid on the boardwalk to eat. Well worth it and will go back next time we are in town. read more

Love this place and the food but if you hit it at the wrong time it takes them 45mins to change from breakfast to lunch and according to the hostesses no food is served at that time, If you wait until 8:30 in the morning to open you can't possibly sit idle for 45mins switching to lunch. Service was good, skip the truffle fries, so salty and not that great. The cheesesteak was great, loved the fresh roll! The pork tacos were not great, soggy and just mostly cheese flavor.
