Badamo's Northside has been our go-to pizza to-go spot when we are gathering for sporting events, watch parties, and so on. One of my personal favorite pies is a white cheese pizza with feta and tomatoes. I have gotten other vegetarian pies here that are also very good. My boyfriend eats meat and has given good feedback about their non-vegetarian options as well. The only downside I've noticed here is that they do not offer french fries, which is a classic side for pizza joints to offer. Otherwise, Badamo's is one of my favorites! read more

Just darn good pizza. I recommend stopping in for a slice, you can select your toppings and they'll pop it in the oven for you and serve it piping hot with a crisp layer of crust on bottom and soft in the center. Probably my favorite pizza place in pgh. Don't expect to sit down, there's a counter for standing to inhale your pizza then leave. Love the no frills nature of this place and there's nothing i want more than a hot slice on a snowy day. If you get pizza to take home, it's good but not as good as if you enjoy a slice at the counter. Once it goes in the cardboard box it loses some of the crispness and steams itself a little soggy in the box. Not the fault of badamos, just the nature of pizza. If i do get a whole pizza, i always reheat in the oven when i get home to mimic the in store slices. read more

Hunnie Stop and pick something up for dinner, I'm exhausted and don't wanna cook..... He shows up with Badamos Margherita pizza. I'm so excited, I've had their pizza before and it has been fantastic. But not this time. I opened the box to find crust with sauce. That was it. A closer look and maybe it's little pieces of pizza cheese? It's definitely not fresh mozzarella. I was so very disappointed. I did not want to eat it, it did not look good. If I'm going to eat something that high in calories it needs to be delicious. Currently I have a cast on my leg, can't exercise, have to watch my calories! I hobbled into Badamos to return the pizza. Put the pizza on the counter & young man with white hat asked me what was wrong. I opened it up and asked what kind of pizza is this, he said that's the margarita pizza. I asked where is the basil, he apologized and said they were out. I asked what kind of cheese is on it, he said mozzarella. Whaaaaaatttt???? He did not offer to make me a different pizza, he did not offer a refund. Obviously I didn't want it and hoped for a solution. That did not happen. I said thank you and left with the darn pizza. Currently it's in our freezer, when we're ready for it, we will pull it out and top it with fresh mozzarella cheese and basil. Disappointed in you Badamos! Should've made your customer happy. I've had their pizza a few times and it was decent. Not the best I've ever had but would get again, but after what happened today, I will never order from them ever again. My work ordered a few pizzas for delivery. When it came time for them to arrive, they were nowhere to be found. We called them a few times and they wouldn't answer. Eventually, they sent a picture. They left the pizzas on the freaking sidewalk five minutes away from our building. Didn't call us, didn't try to find the building, freaking left them on the ground. We tried to call them again and they just referred us to the picture they sent. After about 15-20 minutes we finally found the order. It was freezing cold. Most of my coworkers were iffy about eating ground pizza that had been sitting there for who knows how long. I don't understand how that was acceptable on any level. I could see if they were lost and tried to get ahold of us and couldn't, they might eventually give up and do that, but no, that was not the case. These people don't deserve any business. Badamo's Northside may be an unassuming store front, but this is my favorite pizza shop in Pittsburgh. Their red sauce is top notch: it's the perfect balance of tangy and sweet. I honesty can't say if I love the regular or Sicilian crust better as they are both delicious. The regular crust packs a wonderfully crisp texture and is exactly what you'd want as a neutral flavored vehicle for sauce/cheese/toppings. But don't sleep on the dynamic Sicilian crust: crisp on the outside, airy and light on the inside. Badamo's has no seating, so carry-out is recommended. read more

When Covid hit, they closed the public out of the shop and only serve to the sidewalk from a window which is unfortunate because I like to see the pizzas on display before making my selection. Quality is a bit inconsistent depending on who is making pizzas, but when it's good, it's VERY good. Wow. Went to the original location in Mount Lebo last night, and I was craving their pizza again so we HAD TO try out the North Side location for lunch today. The North Side location is smaller, without any seating, but with bar space you can stand at and eat. I saw pictures of their salad on Yelp and knew I had to try it; we ordered a small salad with chicken, a half steak hoagie and 3 slices (one pepperoni Sicilian, one margarita Sicilian, and one white regular slice). This was all ordered for takeout. We were waiting for a few minutes, but nothing out of the ordinary, and one of the employees offered us 2 additional complementary Sicilian slices to go because of our wait. Great customer service! When we got home, we realized they gave us way more than just two complementary slices. We initially ordered 3 and ended up with 7 slices! Let me tell you, everything was phenomenal. The salad had a great variety of ingredients, and at a good price point. The steak hoagie was pretty good, but wouldn't necessarily be my reason for going to Badamo's. Their slices, both regular and Sicilian, are unreal! They have a good crunch but are nice and soft throughout - the perfect piece of pie in my opinion. read more

Sicilian: crispy crust deeply risen, buttery and delicious. The crust is as good as the rest of it. Round: essentially, perfectly, not too thin(sorry "new york slices", you're not my thing). Oily. The crust is absolutely delicious; this may be the only pizza I've ever had that wasn't made by my dad for which the crust is better than the rest of it. For both the sicilian and the round pizzas, the sauce is just sweet enough and adds a bit of acidity to the party. The pepperoni (which is the best pepperoni I've ever had on a pizza) is extremely tasty and always comes well-crisped. You can't go wrong here. read more

My husband and I have been on the hunt for Pittsburgh's best pizza. We picked up a pie with their homemade ranch. I will say this exceeded my expectations. I would rank this as high as Pittsburgh's best pizza, in the same category as Mineos and Fioris. We really enjoyed this. I will also say this was some of the best ranch in Pittsburgh as well. I was in the north side & drove past Badamo's Pizza- we were already thinking of picking up a pizza for dinner, so we decided to check it out. It took 45 minutes on a Sunday night for the pizza to be ready for take-out. We went with a small cheese pizza and an Italian hoagie. There's no dine-in at the restaurant right now- pick-up is all outdoors, which was easy & COVID friendly. The Italian hoagie was very good- it had that greasy pizza shop taste to it, which is what you expect when you order an Italian hoagie from a pizza place. The pizza was also delicious. What impressed me the most is that it wasn't flimsy at all- the crust was nice and crunchy- it held up really well, unlike some pizzas where you try to get a slice out of the box and the whole thing collapses. The pizza was not greasy- it was just right. Would def. order again! read more

I had heard great things about this place, so during lunch I decided to walk over to see if all the hype was real. I used to go to this building back in the 90s when Pasta Too was there. Now I love pizza and have tried most places downtown and in the North Hills. Let me just say the pizza is really really good. First of all the atmosphere with the exposed brick and area to see the pies is great. I got there around noon and fresh pies kept coming out of the oven in many varieties. It made my decision very tough to pick 2 slices. The front counter and chefs are very friendly and explain what they have. I went with 2 slices of Sicilian, 1 pepperoni and what sausage, both were corner cuts as requested. The sauce, cheese and topping ratio with fresh basil is excellent. The crust was charred to perfection and not doughy at all. I added a Boliyans cream soda and settled down at the stand up bar yo feast. I was full with the first slice but still managed to get second slice down. I will definitely be back to try their sandwiches and calzones and obviously more pizza. This is a gem on the Northside and the staff, atmosphere and great food make it worth the trip. Went back again Friday to try their salad and a plain slice. Place was packed, cashier was still very efficient. Ordered the small salad with tuna and a plain slice. Let me just say after eating the salad first, I was full (hate to see what the large is like). The salad ingredients were great and hot tuna on top very tasty. Had the slice last and again it was outstanding. The cheese to crust to sauce ratio was great. I can already tell you that my pizza in my backseat is going to be absolutely phenomenal. I had a piece of the Sicilian white pizza while I was waiting for my pizza to come out of the oven, and it was absolutely fantastic delicious pizza. The folks behind the pizza counter: super nice, super cute, a little flirty. I like it. I'm definitely going to be a regular, super happy that this spot exists on the northside, a much-needed addition. Everything looks super fresh the storefront is super clean and well-maintained, parking is no issue out front on federal, and the hoagies the guy was putting together behind the counter looked really good too. For the slices they put out, they have a three topping rule, which I think is a sure sign that these folks know what they're doing, after three toppings it's like a garbage disposal pizza. read more

So I just moved from DC to Pittsburgh. It's my second week here and know nothing. I decided to check out pizza places. Badamo's is convenient because it's a 5 minute walk from my apartment. When I tell you my jaw dropped when I tasted their pizza for the first time..... I've also lived half of my life in New York and I can firmly say that Badamo's is real close to New York style pizza in terms of taste. Call ahead. They usually take 30 minutes to an hour so just call ahead. It'll save you time and also be patient. The pizza is worth the wait. They have people waiting in LINES to get this delicious pizza. There's a reason they're busy all the time. 10/10 HIGHLY recommend. Shout out to the workers who work there. Nice little shop that is primarily take out. There is a small stand up counter you can eat at. Staff was friendly and helpful to a few of the customers that had questions. What a perfect place to grab a slice or two! I tried the red and white slice. Both were amazing!

I was excited to try this pizza joint. But I have to admit I was disappointed. I got the 16 inch round red pizza, with pepperoni and mushroom. The pizza was overdone, burnt a little bit on top. Not a lot of sauce on the pizza, lots of Dough and the crust was just dry and crunchy, like eating a pretzel. I will say what little sauce was there was tasty. But not worth driving from the north hills. I feel like when I had this pizza four years ago the quality was much better then. read more

They only had a pick up window where you also order your food. It took about 10 min to get our pizza during the busy lunch hour. We had to park up the street as this is a busy area close to a hospital and other medical buildings. I loved that I could order by the slice and the pizza was delicious.
