The bartenders are charming and very welcoming. Anytime I visit I feel comfortable, safe, and always have a pleasant experience. I've been here four times and had two different bartenders; they are both completely worthless, lazy, aloof and could care less wan you think or want. In fact, In my 30 years com frequenting bars in mostly New York City, I think I can confidently say that they both are about as good as a one legged person in an ass kicking contest. This place is sick! Came in for Monday night football and stayed for karaoke. Several TVs on every wall so it's impossible to have a bad seat during a game. New favorite, hands down. Pool table, juke box you can easily manipulate (great when you really want your song next on the queue), free serve yourself popcorn machine, tv's to watch whatever important sporting event you need to watch, good crowd and a great bar with amazing bartenders. The place is on the small size and usually gets pretty crowded but the bartenders (especially the female) is always on point and tends to you quickly. And if you want to sit at the bar there always seems to be nice enough gentlemen there to offer up their stools. This little gem is just a great place to hang out. P.S. Be prepared to hand over your ID to the bartender for safe keeping if a Moscow Mule is your drink of choice. I guess those copper mugs have walked out the door in the past. read more

I like it here and enjoy sitting and drinking a cold one while thinking about whatever it is on my mind. The staff is always great and I generally like the net jukebox. Only negatives... sometime's it gets really warm in B's P, periodically the music gets really really loud (and that's coming from someone who likes loud music) and periodically you come across one of those people who like to dominate the jukebox and it ruins it for everyone. Gave Baddeley's another try last night with my friend who came with me here the last time on NYE... The place was maybe 1/4 full at about 8 PM on a Saturday night. Ordered up a pint of PBR and my friend got a chilled Grey Goose vodka...unfortunately the Grey Goose was watered down considerably (I tasted it first hand) and for 8 bucks that's not cool. I stand by my initial review of Baddeley's. Still feels like it has no character...no charm...extremely white bread and sterile compared to other bars in the area. As my friend said to me while we were there, the windows in the front used to be tinted / blocked out when it was Club Broadway. Now it's completely clear and open, making it more like a room where people are drinking rather than a bar. read more

Baddeley's has grown on me. For some reason, we just didn't click at first. I'm still not sure we do - it always seems to be my husband's idea to come here, never mine. But whatever, I don't put up a fight like I used to. One great thing I can say about them is that they have one of the few jukeboxes in this city that hasn't filtered Beastie Boys or A Tribe Called Quest. Can I get a hey, hey for some common sense and not being paranoid?! Yeah! Another good thing is that they have some bourbons not found in other bars, like the Bulleit 10 year. My experience here was so great! Dref accommodated me and my friends last minute and made sure we were taken care of. The hospitality here was great, the food was AMAZING, and I've never felt more comfortable and safe eating outdoors during a pandemic. I'm usually in support of small businesses in Long Beach. This experience was a bit of a disappointment. The bartender seemed super distracted and in her head the entire time. Drinks were poured slow and any time I asked for a suggestion on good cocktails I was met with a bored disdainful glare. Also, the weird floaters in the glass didn't add to the experience. Broadway has always been a personal favorite of mine to drink, and 100%, Baddeley's is the leader of the pack. Pool, jukebox and food trucks, this bar has it all!!! I think I have had to "order" a drink once here, as the bartenders are not only friendly, but they're elephants when it comes to your drink preference. I've even had one of them (Derf) offer me something different than my regular (Hendricks & soda) on a hot afternoon when I really wanted a beer. This place really is fantastic. Great addition to the neighborhood. To me Club Broadway was a bit scary. Probably the thought of getting beat up by a girl was a little too much for my ego to take. I swear the last time I walked past CB I saw Sylvester Stallone's big sister with a pack of Camels rolled up in the sleeve of her t-shirt that bore the phrase "Muff-Diver". Not that there's anything wrong with that! Now it's got a nice vibe. The bartenders are really nice, attentive and pour your drinks just the way you ask. The second time I was there Candace remembered my name and my drink as soon as I sat down. Kinda like Cheers. Killer jukebox, killer drinks, $2.00 PBRs, pool table, and a block away from the house. I had spent my st. Patricks evening there with friends and it was really fun and all the awesome bartenders were great and polite. One was blonde and the other one had dark hair. They were very sweet and attentive but towards the end of the night I was gettin tipsy. My friend had given me drinks and I was about to go home and I really needed a bottle of water or a glass of water but the bouncer who seemed like a Hispanic chubby guy was very mean and kept telling me to go home, while my friend and I were trying to finish our drinks. I gave him one of my shots hoping he would be a bit nicer about the situation, he took it but then towards the end of the night I really needed a glass of water which the bouncer refused. I went outside to take a big breath, I knocked on the window hoping one of the bartenders could help me because I really needed water and the bouncer had gotten so upset because I knocked on the glass to hard. He came outside yelling at me " do you want to go home or do you want to go to jail" he said, I was so petrified. One of the bartenders the blonde, curly haired lady offered me a bottle of water, she was very sweet and the bartender pushed her water bottle away as I was trying to attain it since I was very dehydrated. He kept yelling In my face and I kept repeating I just want water and he was such an asshole. I'm very disappointed that a bouncer was such an asshole about me being dehydrated . I live down the street and I'm there pretty often. I'm very disappointed that he had to act this way. I'm very skeptical about going back since I'm scared to see him again. It's really unfair since I am a local and I love playing pool there and eating popcorn. read more

We love this place! It has the best vibe! I proposed to my girlfriend and contacted the staff to see if we could celebrate there. I wasn't sure if they would need us to rent it out or what. Derf called me back and said that he would love to host us. He was so excited about the idea and it made me even more sure that is was the perfect place to celebrate our engagement. He opened it up early for my friends to get there so they could surprise my fiancé! He and Candace were amazing! I will never forget this day. And the staff played a HUGE part in it.
