I have NEVER had a bad experience at Baddleys, great people, great bartenders. I am partial to Candice though.

Derf really knows how to run this place and is extremely consistent with his clients. It is a great location where you can feel like a local without being one. The drinks are more than fairly priced--at times it feels like highway robbery so I leave a generous tip. They have amazing happy hour deals. Additionally, they have pub food and a rewards program unseen in most bars of this calliber. The bar tenders here are incredibly friendly and go above and beyond to ensure you are satisfied regardless of your taste or preference. Stephanie is my favorite bar tender. She remembers my name and gets me my usual before I even ask for it. She is beautiful and kind and sweet and is always in a good mood -- even when it gets busy or chaotic. Rating for Thursday afternoons! I had a great bike ride yesterday (Thursday) and stopped in to the Potholder Cafe for a late lunch. After that I peddled over to Baddeley's for a water, a beer, and a cucumber kamikaze before I peddled home for the evening. I love this place but have been avoiding Thursday's because of unpleasant past experiences. But time had passed so I thought I would give the place and the bartender a chance to earn my business back. Once the bartender was finished posing for pictures with her girlfriends I was able to order. The bartender proceeded to pour me half a kamikaze and poured the other half in a glass for one of her girlfriends three stools down. Her girlfriend asked, "what is this." "It's a cucumber kamikaze" the bartender replied. "you'll love it." Her friend turned out to be quite discourteous and, perhaps, over-served. (At least I hope what I observed wasn't her normal disposition). I called the bartender over and politely asked her to ask her friend to conduct herself more respectfully. The bartender refused so I politely paid my bill and took my business elsewhere. I'll continue to support the more mature bartenders, but not those whom enable or participate in the blatant disrespect of patrons. read more

Baddleys is known for being a great place, but until my experience until tonight it has been below par. I've been in the restaurant business since the age of 16 and I just turned 24. I am all about genuine customer service and positivity. Tonight I've never experienced such a negative experience at a bar. We have been paying for drinks and been respectful to the bartenders, we asked for a drink until the last half hour or so and got the " last call...sorry" which I understand but not in a disrespectful "eff you manner". i am one of the most respectful and understanding servers/ people. I can understand nuisances, but not disrespect. Shame on those who reared their ugly at the bar I am ashamed I ever recommended people to come here, which I have for 3+ years until now... read more

This place is real cool. My friends and I went here for the Laker's final game and had a really good time! No problem getting drinks even on such a busy night! The remodel that the new owners did is such an amazing improvement! I work at the salon down the street and I appreciate what the remodel does for the neighborhood! Used to come here all the time when it was Club Broadway. I loved it then and was pretty bummed when it closed. Recently it has become our default hang spot and I feel like it's kinda perfect. Strong drinks, friendly bartenders, our table is almost always open, free popcorn. I'm sold. Some of these negative reviews are comical. I didn't get exactly what I wanted when I wanted it. Haven't spent a bunch of time in here since it changed from Club Broadway to Baddeley's, but the few times I have been in here, I've enjoyed it. And it seems to be gay friendly, which is important in our diverse little town of Long Beach. We'd been trying to like EJ's cause it has food and good beer, but their staff sucks and the service is horribly slow and bad. We've always enjoyed the staff here and like the beer selection too. I like to come here when i feel like time-traveling aka getting blackout drunk. You can get a PBR for like $2 and they usually have a shot special or 2. They also have one of the best internet jukeboxes around. Not that piece of shit Super Tunes of whatever one other bars have. That is important to me! Bartender was kinda annoying though. Plus it's close to the Reno so you can go grab a carne asada burrito at the end of your binge. I recommend going on a weeknight because its super crowded on the weekends. read more

AVOID IT! If I could, I would give it zero stars. They have awful customer service. I recently went to the bar with some friends to give it a second chance and I checked my bank account last night and the bartender tip herself $3 more dollars! She gave herself an undeserved 30 % tip, she was a bit too busy watching American Idol to provide us drinks, I mean that's only part of her position. So unethical and it's actually forgery, of course I have the receipt and will be disputing this. I will suggest to use cash or check your account the next day. The first time I went, the owner was so drunk she was falling off the chair and had a short man kick the bathroom door down because she needed to pee! Never again. Best neighborhood bar in the LBC! Great atmosphere - not a dark, seedy dive bar. Just a great neighborhood watering hole filled with a great mix of people. I love how the large windows in front let in that great LB sunshine during the day and you can see people stroll by. Always a great time to be had here. Several large flat screens playing all the top sports games and a jukebox to play your fave songs on a great sound system. Pool table and complementary popcorn always a plus too! Met up with a few couples last Friday to check out this new watering hole and we were all quite impressed. This sports bar was clean with great drink prices and had the most amazing LEDs at every turn at a level where no one could block your view (boyfriend was drooling over this). They had the coolest high-tech juke box I've ever seen- looked like a gigantic ipod. I only wished they had more restrooms (only 1 for the ladies). I love this bar. The friendliest people in town, great beers and steady drinks. The staff is like family and amazing! Prices are very reasonable and that helps in wanting to go back for more. They have a pool table and someone always willing to play! They don't have a kitchen, but with restaurants within a block of there that will deliver it makes it an even better choice.
