I had heard great things about this place, there were also some mixed reviews, but I finally decided to try it for myself and I was very impressed! I went a little after lunch on a slow day so it didn't take long to be seated. I ordered a Cajun flavored bag with shrimp, mussels, corn and sausage. I also ordered some Mango Habanero wings, Fish and chips and garlic noodles to try. The first thing that I just thought was absolutely adorable was their waitress robot that served us our food. I definitely was not expecting that, but it was something new and I loved it. The food didn't take long to be served, and when I first tried everything I was very pleased! The bag of seafood with the Cajun sauce was very flavorful, very hot in temperature too which is great that the food was not cold at all. The Cajun added a nice spice to the food! The fish and chips were very delicious, the fish was fried perfectly and it paired well with ketchup. The Mango habanero wings were good as well, but they weren't my most favorite as there wasn't anything that special about them. The garlic noodles on the other hand were a nice side, they were really tasteful and they paired well with the bag of seafood. This location in vallejo was very clean and the staff was friendly, I can't remember the name of the waitress that helped us, but she was very attentive and nice as well. I definitely would come back here. I don't think doing take-out for this kind of food is the best idea, I would recommend sitting down inside the restaurant to enjoy your food. Came to Bag O Crab for the first time on a Friday evening because I was craving some muscles (I usually get them from a similar type of restaurant so I decided to try them here). I call ahead and placed my order over the phone. When I arrived at the restaurant it was pretty empty aside from a family sitting at a table and a few people grabbing to go orders. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was friendly. I ordered 1lb. Of Muscles with garlic seasoning and on fire xx for the spice level and some Cajun fries. My food smelled really good, was packaged well and stayed warm until I got it home (my fries were a little soggy, but that was expected). The flavor was okay, it wasn't spicy at all (I chose the highest spice level) and the garlic seasoning was big chunks of garlic (which I didn't mind, but if you're expecting a seasoning it's not). They gave a nice large portion of fries (more than I expected for a take out order). Unfortunately I began to feel sick after I finished the muscles and ended up having to throw up. I ended up throwing out the fries because I wasn't sure which had made me sick. I may go back and try something else after some time passes maybe with different seasonings?? Wow! I have been so tired of mediocre Door Dash food. Was searching for something new and different and stumbled upon Bag O' Crab! So glad I did. The food was fresh and different and sooo reasonably priced. We sampled a little of everything and was not disappointed with anything. Hot links were...well hot! but good. Corn was just like you get in a crab boil. Fries were actually crispy and really enjoyed the fried shrimp. The star of the day tho was the cajun mahi mahi. You get 3 pieces of fish, plenty of rice and it was served on a big green salad with a creamy dressing. The mahi had a kick but the mango salsa cooled it off.. full meal for only $13. What?? I went to Bag O Crab today and I had the worst service ever. I am a person that is allergic to cow products and I asked what's in the gumbo, I was told shrimp, celery, bell peppers and rice. There was way more than that in the gumbo. We placed our order and that was the last time we saw our waiter except to deliver drinks, food and the check. He never came to see if the food was good nor refill empty water cups. Now let's move on to the music that they had playing. The first time i was very hesitant as ive tried other places and their seafood boil bases were very taste less and watery. This place i would rate the crab/seafood boil my fiancée and i had as a 5/10. It wasnt bad but it also wasnt the best. We ordered the Cajun flavor and only reason i didnt like it was because the base of it was too thick . It was seasoned well but not enough oil/water to break up all the seasons(if that makes sense) also the seafood was very fishy to me. The shrimp seemed reheated or over cooked and the crab legs were super fishy and seemed like they were once frozen. However their chick wings and garlic wings are soooooo good. It's been awhile and noticed that the Garlic noodles portion is just half of what it used to be. I guess that's how they have it on their new size cardboard containers. Shrimp was smaller and a bit overcooked. It's easy to determine the overcooked as the carapace or the skin/shell sticks on the meat shrimp itself. It loses its juicyness and a bit of sweetness to it. A bit salty, greasy/oily. The sauce turned completely solid especially the weather is cold. No more limes? Lemons instead? I hope they bring back the limes.
