    Vanilla iced matcha latte
    Keisha M.

Visted with coworkers for lunch. Nice little cute sandwich shop. Disappointed that they do not offer any gluten free options so I was only able to try my favorite thing...matcha! I ordered an iced vanilla matcha latte with oatmilk. I was pleased to see the barista whisking the matcha in a small bowl first. The latte was just ok. The earthy flavor of the matcha was overpowering. I think that if they offered levels of sweetness (none, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%) that would possibly work better as we had to ask for extra pumps of vanilla sweetener. Wanted to like it but really not my preference with no GF options and better matcha in the area.

    Each bagel comes individually wrapped

If you always toast your bagels - even when they're perfectly fresh - you may be happy with the bagels here. Otherwise, not so much. The size of the bagels is good, as is the density. The outside is unexpectedly soft, though, and the toppings are damp. I'm guessing that the bagels are baked off-site and were either placed in plastic for transport or packaged while still warm. Either way, they have a "steamed" texture about them. The toppings are also on one side only, a bit annoying when you eat your bagels open faced rather than sandwich-style. I'm very annoyed by the excess packaging. Each bagel is wrapped individually in a single serve heavy-weight bag. That might make sense if the bags were used to contain leaky sandwiches. It's incredibly wasteful and adds needless expense when used to wrap a bulk order of multiple uncut bagels. The staff is friendly but still very new at their jobs. Time will help with that. The atmosphere is somewhat generic but that's not too relevant. Still looking for that good bagel...

This bagel and coffee shop is near where I work, so I have had time to pop in for a bagel or for coffee at times. I think I time my visits right because it's never "rush hour" crowded. I like their bagels. I will admit that I may have to go during rush hour if I want to get a variety like their chocolate chip bagels. Good service when I've gone and bagels that remind me of bagels from street vendors in Manhattan.

As we are visiting Chicago we wanted to try this bagel place. The staff was great, working hard. It was busy so wait time was about 30-40 mins. But did not affect quality. Honey lavender hot latte was great and the sausage egg and cheese bagel was delicious. There's some tables for seating by the window too. If it's just it can get packed.

    Spanish Latte

I stopped in for a coffee and the flavor I tried just wasn't for me. They called it a Spanish Latte which had condensed milk and I think cinnamon. I couldn't really taste any of the flavors and the coffee itself was very mild. The service was friendly and quick, so a plus there.

This place is so good! They have a lot of different matcha options and the bagel sandwiches. I would love to comeback and try their pastrami sandwiches.

Good coffee and ok if you're willing to wait. Online pick up time for a single coffee run 10 min late every time and layout of pick up is terrible. you need to wait in line and listen to ppl order before you can pick up your items. most of time both items are not done. don't attempt to look at the pick up tray handled by the single cashier taking orders. there's a short hefty guy who flips out. been here a few times but isn't chicago fast paced and is def a slower vibe. if you have time stop by then sure check it out but if you're used to ordering online and quick pick up, prepare to wait 15-20 min extra just to say you have a pick up order..and it'll all be there or you have to wait a lil longer for the rest of your order.

At first I thought it was the 2nd location of Beans & Bagels. No. Good selection of bagels, but need to offer more than coffee to drink.

The cocktail sauce and the tartar/aïoli sauce was amazing, and the shrimp was perfectly cooked. 5/5 crispy, artichoke with an aïoli sauce. Beautifully presented, perfectly crispy. The aïoli was so delicious. I kept it for the rest of my meal as it being sauce. 4/5 American breakfast with egg whites. Egg whites were slightly runny, but good portion. The bacon was crispy and slightly sweet. Super yummy. Crispy potatoes were like a deep fried large country potato. Good with the aïoli, but I didn't eat too much. 4/5 petite potato, American style. These are truly petite. I wanna say it was $14-$20 but I expected a little bit more. 5/5 chocolate chip cookie for my Bestie's birthday. Best cookie she's ever had. Delicious, warm, chewy. 5/5 butterscotch crème brûlée. First time I've ever had a butterscotch version. The custard was delicious, and the Brulé topping was not too thick. Annihilated the whole thing. The atrium was beautiful. I wish there was a little bit more space for us to take photos, but the hotel itself beautiful. Our service was great. I wish I could remember our servers name but it was a young man with glasses & he was fabulous.

This is where the ball drops, the coffee is way too bitter and lacks flavor as well as there's no bodied flavor in the drinks. We're going just based off of coffee. I feel like the espresso lacks flavor and is very harsh. If you are getting an ice drink with sugar, you will notice it less obviously, but I'm speaking, purely from a Coffee perspective that it just does not have well body flavor, and I have tried multiple drinks that are espresso based. I hope that they can make a change to the espresso blend to complement the ambience and great setting. I unfortunately did not even take a photo of the Coffee because I was very disappointed.

I ordered 5 coffees one morning, and all the register guy did was write a few names on some cups and placed it down. I understand tipping culture is a divided topic of discussion, but at the end of the day, it is OPTIONAL. After pressing the skip button from what I believe to be non-tip worthy service, he threw a fit and said "Wow you're serious? After I did all that?" Meanwhile all he did was write names on cups. Now I would understand if he was the barista working hard to pump out the coffees, but two lovely ladies were in the back doing that. He shooed me and my friend out of line as we were still processing what he just said. The next customer orders and he had the audacity to talk about us to them while we're 5 feet away. Delusional as he was, he had the nerve to say we were holding up the line and made him do "all that work", and I could promise you, we knew exactly what we wanted to order the second we got up, and took no longer than 45 seconds. We also witnessed he got into it with another customer, so it seems like he's the problem here. Most wild service I have ever received, all for some milky coffees. I ended up tipping the lovely ladies in the back though. Be warned. There are much better spots.
