Sorry, I wasn't impressed with this place at all. The staff was nice enough but the bagels were very underwhelming. There were no blueberries in the blueberry bagel, no raisins in the cinnamon raisin and approximately 5 chips in the chocolate chip. I'm sad to leave this place a bad review because the bagels are good BUT they aren't consistent with their closing time. On the web site and sign on the door they say they close at 2pm, but in reality they close when they run out of bagels. This means they sometimes close HOURS early. More than once I have tried to get bagels for the office at lunch time and they are closed. This seems to be a consistent issue with them. They either need to make more bagels or amend their hours. I won't be back. There are too many other places to get bagels that are actually open when they say they will be. read more

Saw this place pop up nearby and have been longing for a good bagel spot since I left NY. This is not it. My first visit was my last. Horrible customer service. I had the longest wait behind a crazy lady who had a million and one questions including if they make their own turkey here? Three people began helping this one woman putting forth all of their best efforts to answer all her silly questions. They let me wait on and on with no apology except from the crazy lady who said oh I'm sorry, but then turned around and continued to go on and on. She even started offering up her business to supply them with signage and so forth while I waited some more. I was disgusted how the staff allowed such entitled, dismissive and inconsiderate behavior at the expense of other patrons. They should not have condoned this behavior and should have handled this way better and put an end to her using everyones time for her own entertainment. Clearly my business just didn't mean anything to them which is why I won't be back. I finally had a chance to order my bagel sandwich and there was not even an I'm so sorry for your wait. I was hoping maybe just maybe this bagel was going to be worth the wait and bad experience thus far but it wasnt. Bagel was under toasted and cinnamon sugar topping was nonexistent. I thought it was a plain bagel. The blueberry muffin literally had 4 blueberries in a large muffin. The muffin base was delicious, just false advertising because the percentage of muffin to blueberries was disgraceful. Whoever allows this practice should be retrained. This is the closest I have gotten to a NY bagel. Their sandwiches are soooo good! I got the Hashy with the chipotle cream cheese. I highly recommend that! Yelled at my elderly mother because she went to grab butter from an area that to her looked like it was for customers because her bagel was too dry for her to eat. I decided to try this bagel place this morning since the nearby Einstein's closed down. Based on the reviews, I thought and hoped this place would be decent. I got cinnamon sugar bagels, blueberry bagels, and the honey pecan spread. These were the hardest and densest bagels I've ever eaten. The blueberry bagel had no taste of blueberry and the honey pecan spread was just cream cheese with pecans mixed in. Neither had much flavor or were sweet. I don't know how there are so many good reviews for this place. I hate to leave a bad review for a small local restaurant but it was the worst bagel I remember eating. My wife could not finish the top half of her bagel and threw it away. I finished the bottom half but I wish I didn't. The savory bagel sandwiches may be better, and maybe these bagels work better as sandwich bread. I would stay away from getting a regular bagel with cream cheese. read more

Shop is small so there will most likely be a line (come early if you want a speciality bagel ex: rainbow bagel) I got the lox bagel sandwich and it was wonderful. I ordered a dozen of specific rainbow bagels from Bagel Cafe 21 and I froze them up until my daughters spunky Over the Rainbow theme birthday party, which was 2 weeks out. I just popped them (without thawing) back in the oven at 350 for 6 mins and they were perfect. Owner was sweet to help me out with such advance notice! I love this place so much. The bagel sandwiches are my favorite. I really do want to say this though, for the sake of not only the customers, more so the employees, this place gets so packed - especially on the weekend, there needs to be WAYYY more workers, literally for the workers' sake.
