I knew I had to visit award winning Starship when visiting Dallas. Let me start with the bagels, the best I've had outside of New York. Light, fluffy, and fresh. It was delicious. We tried a couple Schmears, one being the Schmear of the Year in the Basil. That was better than the honey almond in my opinion. I definitely recommend. This is the best bagel that I've had in a minute.

Very cute little bagel shop. The music was a bit louder than I prefer for a dine in conversation, but not deafening. The employees were extremely friendly and good natured. I had a cinnamon raisin and honey almond schmear. The honey almond schmear was by far the best part- 5 stars on that. It tasted really fresh, sweet but not artificial, and had great nutty chunks! The bagel itself I found a bit overhyped. It wasn't bad, I just wouldn't return out of my way to try it. My dining partner had a bagel with avocado schmear and lox and seemed really pleased with that one! If you're in the area and craving a bagel, this will hit the spot if you lean into a good schmear. However, definitely wouldn't say this is DFW's top bagel spot!

Ordered take out lox bagel sandwich with fermented jalapeño cream cheese. Everything was good. Only slight constructive criticism is that the bagel wasn't toasted very much and I wanted it toasted medium. Still was great and will be back! You can tell these are all high quality ingredients they are using!

Bagels were made and seasoned pretty well specifically the lox one. I will say the bagel texture was a bit firmer than what i usually like in a bagel. So it does not top other bagels I've had before. The variety of toppings felt very limited. There are a lot of spreads and bread types but not much other things to make a sandwich. The only meat option was lox. A few veggie choices were there but not much for a protein breakfast bagel.

We came over to this spot at around 8:30 am on the morning of the day after thanksgiving. It was really busy and they were out of most bagel options. We got a lox Supernova Lox & Bagel (no tomatoes) with plain cream cheese and toasted garlic bagel. We also ordered 1/2 dozen to-go. Both bagel kinds were a little too hard, although I appreciate seasoning on top and bottom of the pastry. It was really good bagel that I would go for again, but, to be fair, I'm not sure if it is a Best Bagel award worthy. I had bagels equally as good or, in my opinion, better in Austin and New York.

The staff here was awesome. Super enthusiastic and knowledgeable about their bagels and schmears! 10/10 service. I got an onion bagel and my partner got an everything bagel. I'll start with the bagels themselves, these are award winning and I say it's for a reason. The bagels taste fantastic and left me wishing we had one of these back home in Tampa. We tried both the basil schmear and green olive. Both were amazing, upon discussing with the employee we also got to try a new secret flavor!! Very exciting stuff coming out of Starship bagel. They earned a follow from me and I will be following their achievements! The inside is also clean and nice. A good place to hangout and enjoy a bagel. A bonus is the coffee, they use Onyx coffee (which is an amazing spot as well) and my partner and friend gave the coffee a 8.75 and 9.5 respectively, they both frequently review and rate coffee shops. So definitely try a latte while you are here

Fantastic bagels!! I wish there was a location closer because I'd be there all the time.

When I rate a restaurant 3 stars I might go back or I might not. I had the supernova lox and bagel with a salt bagel, scallion cream cheese and toasted to a #2 level. It was very messy to eat. The toast level did not seem to match the description "some crunch". It was good but the smoked salmon was tasteless. I could have gotten the exact bagel with toppings and without the salmon for about $8 less. I was surprised at the lack of sweet and fruity options plus no bacon and egg options. I also had the latte cold coffee - good but $6 is too much. We got there around 8:00 on Sunday and had quick service with a steady stream of customers. Easy to get a table. Maybe next time I'll try the millennial falcon or not. Also there is a decent donut shop next door.

So happy to find Starship with a location in far North Dallas so that I don't have to drive downtown. Also, this location has indoor and outdoor seating; whereas the downtown location is just a window and customers have to wait and eat outdoors. The seating is stark with cheap industrial feel. It doesn't appear inviting. The two tables inside seem best for larger groups. The tables outside were slightly more inviting, but TX in the summer is a nonstarter for me and most people. I've been to this far north location a couple of times now, and both times there was no line and no people other than the staff and me. I visited on a weekday mid-morning and a Sunday around 7:30 am. I was told the customer traffic would increase around 8-8:30 today. Upon leaving with my order, there were about four customers arriving, so business was about to pick up. I was told earlier in the week that for certain bagels, you needed to order them in advance at the beginning of the week in order for them to be available on the weekend. Despite the staff member urging me to place my desired choice for the weekend, I failed to submit a request for the jalapeño cheddar bagel when I was there on Wednesday. Here it was, Sunday, and I thought I would only have a choice between plain Jane or the everything and a lot of salt. I was pleasantly surprised to see all of the bagel bins filled with a variety AND a special bowl filled with jalapeño cheddar bagels. "Surely these are for the people who preordered", I thought to myself. To my surprise, they actually put out a batch of those hot tasty jalapeños and cheese for the procrastinators and unorganized, but once they are gone, they are gone for the day. Obviously I got one of the jalapeño and cheddar bagels to go. I also ordered the Supernova Lox. If you get one of their sandwiches, you choose the flavor of bagel and the flavor of schmear. I selected the sesame bagels and the scallion schmear. Earlier in the week, I got the Millenium Falcon on a garlic bagel with the green olive schmear. Both sandwiches were delicious! The schmears really do add a little oomph and pizzazz to the overall taste profile. Every time I go, I see something else on the menu that has me planning my return. There is a special Farmers Market sandwich with fresh peaches and a vanilla schmear. I can hardly wait to visit again to try it.

We were greeted as soon as we walked in. It was our first time and we had no idea what we wanted to order. The staff was extremely patient and helpful while we looked over the menu. Once we ordered, it was a short 3-5 minutes before our food was ready. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. It exceeded my expectations and I'll definitely be back. A cute spot for a filling, delicious, and quality bagel sandwich!

Plain bagel with honey almond cream cheese + blueberry jam

I'd never been to Starship but have heard good things. I did no research before arriving so I wasn't aware that there weren't any meat or egg options. So keep that in mind when visiting. I tried the blueberry jam that they were promoting on a plain bagel and enjoyed it with their honey almond cream cheese. My husband had the millennial falcon on an everything bagel which was packed with flavor! I'll be sure to get that next time. It comes with jalapeño cream cheese, avocado, pickled onions, bean sprouts and more. Yum.

I've tried almost everything on the menu and this place 100% deserves the awards it's won -- I would've voted for them too. The bagels are incredible, and the Millennium Falcon + the lox are both amazing. The hardest part is choosing the bagel and schmear because everything is so good. I do wish they had eggs, but I won't complain. On the Bagel Sami Scale -- as someone who eats at least two bagels and where 10s are mythical -- I give Starship Bagels a 9.3/10.

The spicy shug bagel was an average breakfast bagel with some spicy sauce (wasn't spicy at all in my opinion), but the pesto bagel was really good. I would recommend the pesto cutlet over the spicy shug. I wish the bagels were warmed up though, they were cold and rock hard, the fillings were also not hot. I prefer Cloud 9 Bagel in Carrolton more since they warm up your bagels and cost less.

I'll be dreaming about these bagels until my next time in Dallas…read more I was strolling around the area and came across Starship Bagel, located by the big eyeball in Dallas, you can't miss it. I kept noticing how it got so much traction from people on their breaks/also strolling the area, and I decided to give their egg bagels a try. And let me tell you, I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by how delicious my toasted bagel was. I order the egg bagel with scallions cream cheese and it was perfect. I was delighted by every bite, so much so, that my coworker and I ran back before they closed so she could order the same thing. I'm not from the Dallas area, so I ordered 10 bagels to go and the owner graciously threw in more bagels for me to try and share with my coworker. Thank you so much to the Starship bagel team. Excellent customer service! I can't wait to come back to Dallas just to be reunited with these bagels. Perfectly toasted, they had a nice bite, delicious flavor that reminded of the bagels I used to buy as a kid in Brooklyn. Starship is also located in a perfect area where you can sit and bask in the perfect atmosphere. Can't wait to come back and try their eggything bagels.

Reposting my review that I also just made on Google…read more I'll be honest, I was shocked to see as many 1--3 star reviews for this place. I get it - it's a little pricy outside of waiting for the $1 bagels between 12pm-1pm - but holy schikies the quality is amazing. The bagels themselves - all 10/10. The schmears are insanely good - the basil schmear literally blew my mind. I didn't know a schmear could taste that refreshing. The cucumber sandwich - incredible - never would have thought bagel, with cream cheese and cucumber could be THAT good. Sure - it's a bit pricy pre-12pm (but what placing selling real food with real ingredients isn't these days!) spent $40 on a sandwich, bagel with butter and bagel with the fermented jalapeno schmear - but sorry not sorry - still worth it. All these cry babies in these lower reviews complaining about how the bagel they wanted was no available - it's because they are that good. Sorry - you snooze you lose. Get up earlier, preorder if you want it that bad. To the owners of Starship Bagel - hope you guys never sell out (well keep selling our of product so you stay in business yes) but you know not sell out to big mega food corps, and keep doing what you're doing. People need more food establishments making food out of actual real ingredients - not the slop bucket artificial BS that 99% of any other chain bagel shop is going to use. Just look up what Einstein puts in their highly processed schmere's, it's trash and it tastes like it too. Zero chance if they put out a basil schmere that it wouldn't be chock full of artificial junk - just look up the their strawberry schmere on Instacart - ingredients include: Maltodextrin (filler, usually corn based), Modified Food Starch (likely where the bioengineered junk is coming from as noted under the ingredients), Natural Flavor (God only knows where the hell that came from), Guar Gum (a soluble fiber derived from the ground endosperm of guar beans - not something I want in my schmere), Color (almost get a pass except they state they use Caramel which is usually an artificial / petrol base colorant that is not good for you), Carob Bean Gum (plant-based thickening agent and stabilizer - still don't want it), Xantham Gum (produced by fermenting sugar with the bacteria Xanthomonas campestris), and then lastly Natamycin (natural antifungal preservative produced by bacteria -Streptomyces natalensis - something you really want to eat much of?). I'm tired of fake food, that tastes like cardboard. That lacks any nutritional value. We should celebrate when new companies come out like this - and not only that - but they offer their bagels at $1 if they have any left over after 12pm. These people deserve a block party in their honor for producing such high quality products - that yes - those unwilling to wait till 12pm whose selections might be more limited - will have to pay a bit more. People who recognize quality and hard working people will continue to come here. Last note, if you're trying to avoid seed oils, soybean lecithin / soybean oil - this is also a great place for you - and its one of the few places my wife can actually eat at since 99% of places in the USA these days, even the ones you think are higher quality - use trash ingredients with soy as a base - these guys do not. For that I say thank you again - to the owners of Starship Bagel. You guys rock - don't listen to the winey cry baby haters.

We arrived around 10:30 am, which I realize is not exactly crack-of-dawn bagel time when everyone is grabbing their carb-loaded fuel before work. As an ex-New Yorker, I have my favorite bagel flavors, but my number one priority is simple: is it warm? Sadly, I was told there were no warm bagels, so I settled for a poppy bagel with the new lemon cream cheese. The cream cheese was fantastic. No notes. Seriously, it was great. The bagel itself was fine. My bigger issue was the service and the missed opportunity. The place was not crowded at all, maybe seven people inside. After we sat down waiting for our order, I noticed a guy in the back literally baking bagels and moving fresh, hot bagels into bins. HOT BAGELS, people. Would it have killed someone to walk 30 feet and offer me one fresh off the line? I had already mentioned it was my first time there and how much I love a warm bagel. I totally understand they cannot do this for every single customer all day long, but when it is quiet and someone is clearly excited about your product, that little extra effort can make a huge difference in customer retention. I worked in customer service my entire life, and I always believed in going the extra mile when you can - "accomodating when you can be" is a great customer service motto! I really wanted to love this place, and I appreciate what they are doing, but at this point my bagel loyalty may be heading toward PopUp Bagels. (And I have love for Dan's too.)
