Good bagels, bad staff. Employees are rude and it's not a good start of my day. Would rather get my bagels elsewhere.

This used to be in my favorite bagel spot - but the small-town, friendly service has gone out the window. The man behind the counter (larger build with slicked back hair) is not customer-oriented. He's abrupt and rude. While I was there, a young mom holding her child ordered two bagels and asked for them to be sliced - that man refused to slice her bagels saying "it's policy". If that's your policy (which quite frankly I don't understand) then make an exception - she's asking for two bagels to be sliced for her kid, it was not a big ask. During these Covid times, there were times customers were packed in there like sardines without any of the doors being open and no one regulating how many people were coming in. Delicious bagels. And it's really cool to come here and feel a sense of community atmosphere - it's nice to run into familiar faces or make new friends with fellow townsfolk. The food is good and the options are plentiful. The staff is friendly. It's crowded, yes, but at 10 AM on a Saturday you can't expect a bagel place to be quiet. Good food and good people. read more

I think they are here to stay. Opened around a year ago, they are now a neighborhood breakfast establishment we can rely on aside from Noah bagels. We see many familiar faces when we get our weekend breakfast sandwich. They are willing to take your custom order and I am quite particular about my custom breakfast sandwich. I think they now get their rhythm down. Line moves relatively quickly. Food is nothing spectacular but at least they use real eggs and none of that premix egg (like Noah). They have decent, and I dare say fresh, bagels too which is hard to find in this part of NJ. read more

This has been my favorite bagel shop ever since the day i discovered it. And today I learned that I can place my order on their Ap on my iPhone, and simply walk in the store and pick up my already paid for bagels and cream cheese without having to wait at all!! Good solid bagel joint. We just bought a bakers dozen and a tub of chive cream cheese and I didn't need to toast my everything bagel because it was still warm from the oven. Also the bagels are so big that I don't think it would fit in a toaster. Yum! read more

Too many times we have found the sesame or cinnamon raisin bagels covered in onion/garlic from the other bagels. Definitely need to find a new bagel shop. Also, I will never go during high volume times as the logistics of the place are not good. read more

despite popular belief, the bacon egg and cheese is almost non existent within the bagel. it was like a piece of paper i tasted almost nothing. i also had a blueberry bagel here, can't taste any blueberry. it's like making green eggs and ham with your mom when your a kid. only food coloring is saving that bagel. also i heard that the owner takes all the tips. 2 star read more

Go to bagel spot in the area but lately they have drastically cut back on the amount of cream cheese they give you. The prices are the comparable for a tasty bagel but when you get about an 1/8th of an inch of cream cheese and pay almost $4 for a bagel it might be time to go across the street. Heartless place. Don't spend your money at this place! I stopped in for the first and last time. I purchased 2 dozen bagels and 3 containers of cream cheese for the nurses caring for my mother in the hospital. They put 50 lbs of these rocks and cream cheese in a paper bag. It was raining and by the time I got to the hospital the bag ripped in the lobby. I went back the next day to tell them want happened and it was there fault. The man behind the counter was so rude! I said they should have doubled bag it or use a plastic bag for the rocks. He said that is too expensive. I spent $40 for the nurses. They have no heart. Spend your money elsewhere. read more

I went 6/8 for take out bagels and the one employee was so unfriendly and downright rude that I am going to talk to the owner when they are less busy. I would rather go somewhere more friendly. Bagel Cafe catered a brunch at our house recently and the food was great - lox and bagels, tuna and egg salads, plus their signature Springfield salad. Coffee was excellent and their accommodators were wonderful to work with, taking great care of our 60 guests. Thanks so much! read more

I LOVE the bagels here, however the management has continuously been disrespectful to me, my friends, and my colleagues. As a frequent paying customer, I expect better better management interactions. The only time I've seen the manager is when he has something negative to say towards a customer. Whether it's bringing a cup of coffee from Starbucks to drink with a bagel or finishing a smoothie from another store to have with your bagel from here, there is always criticism. I understand they offer smoothies and coffee themselves, but even if I didn't have my Starbucks coffee I would not buy the coffee from here just out of personal preference and a consumers right to choose what they want. Once again, the bagels are incredible, I'm just disappointed in all of my interactions with management. read more

I was a little disappointed, however, when I was told I was not allowed to sit in the dining area because I had brought a drink from Starbucks next door. I love Daham's. Great bagels, great breakfast bagel sandwiches. I come here often to meet with friends in the booth seating they have. Even when busy the line moves quickly, and they have good bagel options, like the whole wheat everything bagel. I don't usually branch out from the sandwiches, but the other day management gave me a complimentary Nutella latte that was great, and I would get again in the future. read more

Honestly the food here is not bad but I'm never coming back. The customer service is absolutely terrible. Owner included. Been yelled at for bringing in reusable water bottles because we didn't buy a drink here. They yell at you and make faces if you don't come when they call your number even though it's extremely loud in the storefront. The "manager" has rolled his eyes and shook his head if he's called a number more than once. You would think they would have any respect for customers but I feel extremely unwelcome here and absolutely will not be returning. Never mind the insane prices. Absolutely ridiculous! read more

Coffee at bagel joints is usually just ok. This coffee is awesome. Sweet bagels (french toast and super cinnamon raisin) too sweet, a.k.a. diabetes bagels.. The place is clean, had a great selection of bagels and cream cheese. Staff was a bitt impatient. On my first visit here I was impressed with the entire establishment. The store is well lit, clean and staff friendly but frenetic as the number of customers increased in the matter of 60 seconds. Looks like a well managed operation. I thought a good bagel was a thing of the past but Dahams restored my confidence. Great hand rolled bagels made on site like everything else. The cream cheeses all look delicious Amoung a wide selection of bagels and other tasty treats.. I had an egg bacon and cheese on a poppy seed. See photo.. The bacon crispy and made to order along with fresh eggs and cheese. cooked to my exact request. The best I've had in a while! Coffee is excellent. No tables here just buy and go sit outside at one of the benches around town. Coming from the area where O'Bagel is king this place will eventually supplant them as the best bagel in the area, first off the size of their bagel is what O bagel's used to be 5 years ago, O'Bagel has gotten way smaller and charges the same as these bagelmasters. Light on the inside crunchy on the outside. Fabulous sandwiches at a nice price too. Have not tried the coffee or the cream cheese spreads yet but if they keep the size and maintain quality I will take the extra minutes out of my way and forget about O'Bagel read more

The best bagels in the neighborhood hands down. This is the only place I'll go to for bagels now. The service is a bit spotty which hopefully improves over time. There is plenty of staff for the size of the store. They just seem a bit confused at times. A nova sandwich shouldn't cause any confusion. I don't want lox spread. read more

Horrible service. People behind the counter are rude and cheap. I spent $40 on bagels and 3 containers cream cheese to bring to a softball game. I asked for a "bunch" of knives. They gave me 3 so I asked for more. They then refused to give me any more knives because it "costs them too much money". I reminded them that I just spent $40, but the guy argued that it's too expensive. I left and went home to find some plastic knives. I will never go back there.
