Avocado Toast from Bagel Cafe in New Providence.

Oh, my! Only the BEST Avocado Toast in the world. Just love this café. I can always count on a positive experience, delicious food, and excellent service. Wow!!!!!!!!!

    THEC
    Chris M.

Went here on a recommendation of a colleague. The THEC was sub par. There was hardly any egg or cheese on it but it was loaded with TH and the bread was on the stale side. The coffee creamers were hidden in the cool box. The coffee area was a mess. Took a little while to get someone to take my order. The inside was very messy and hard to tell it was a cafe. I won't be back. The sandwich was edible but not worthy of a return trip. Don't recommend this place.

Decent bagels for the area. My kids seem to really like their blueberry bagel and cinnamon raisin bagel. Some seating in the room the side, pretty busy on a Sunday morning.

For a bagel place, they do their lunch very well. The Chicken Que is a great sandwich. The rub and sauce on the chicken had a ton of flavor. The slaw and the pickles were fresh. The bun was toasted and didn't fall apart after a 20 minute drive. I'm excited to try one of their breakfast sandwiches. They also have a handful of smoothies and acai. I got the green machine.

Bagels are fantastic. But I recently tried the Burger and it didn't disappoint! Tender, juicy and flavorful. A must try.

This popular cafe is located right in the heart of Basking Ridge. It's small inside but there's outdoor seating also. We had a half hour wait for a table inside. The place has a very cozy feel to it and everyone we met who worked here was very friendly. I started my meal with a Vanilla Chai Latte and my wife had a Macha Latte. My wife ordered the Blintzes with blueberries and I had the Paris Morning breakfast. We both loved the food! My dish came with 2 potato pancakes, 2 poached eggs, and smoked salmon. Just delicious! A cool bit of trivia is that Paul McCartney and his wife stopped in here a few years ago. We didn't see Paul today, but we did enjoy the experience!

Glad we didn't because we got great service at the bar and a lot the people in the 2 chair tables were still there enjoying their meals when we were leaving. What we ordered: - Steak and Eggs (Grilled NY strip steak, two sunny side up eggs, breakfast potatoes with Chimichurri sauce) - Eggs Benny (Two poached eggs, thick cut candied applewood bacon on toasted baguette, topped with Hollandaise sauce served with grilled asparagus) - Lemonade The food was very good. I prefer my breakfast potatoes crispy so I didn't finish those but everything else cooked to perfection. This place was on my list for a while now so I'm glad I was able to cross it off and would recommend it!

So much nicer than the kinda icky bridal suite we stayed in 8 years ago But overall, this, like rod's, is still a pretty traditional place. If you don't like that, you won't like it! And if you're not staying for business or wedding, maybe not your gig. Still, I love it. Nice, friendly, train in the back, close to Morristown and Madison both lovely towns. And I love Rod's and the red dog, both fun old timely places for some food or a drink.

The owner, Carolina, was warm and charming as was the waitress, Amira, who provided great service. We started with Argentine beef empanadas as a starter. For lunch I ordered the beef milanesa platter with French fries, while my wife had the chicken milanesa sandwich. Both dishes were generous in portion and full of flavor, just the kind of hearty, home-style fare I love from Argentine cafés. We also picked up a sandwich de miga to take home--a crustless ham and cheese sandwich that was simple, delicate, and satisfying. I'd rate both the meal and the sandwich an easy 8 out of 10. The café itself has a welcoming, local feel, and visiting on a weekday kept things peaceful. I learned they offer fresh Argentine pastries on weekends, which sounds like a perfect reason for a return visit soon. Patria Station Café is a great spot for authentic flavors, big portions, and a pleasant, laid-back experience.

They do have a small parking lot in their back, but it is maybe 3 spots total, so you may need to find street parking. The service is pretty good, although I was initially annoyed they didn't have paper menus and we had to use our phones. Being on your phone with a small child in a restaurant doesn't always go super well. Later I saw a table get a set of paper menus, which I was a little annoyed they didn't just offer us, especially with a small child. The food was overall good. I shared the pancake trio and the Monroe with my son. The pancakes were all really good. We had gotten the strawberry cheesecake, the caramel pecan, and the blueberry lemon. I think my son really liked the strawberry cheesecake. I thought the blueberry lemon were great. The pancakes tasted like they used some sort of lemon zest or something in the batter, as the lemon really shined through nicely. My eggs were a little overcooked, but the bacon was pretty spot on. I had also gotten a hot chocolate which I thought was good, although there was some powdered mix that was not fully incorporated in the bottom. My biggest gripe was they automatically added an 18% gratuity to all parties of two or more, and if you were going to do that, just raise your prices and have a no-tipping policy. I am sure there are solo diners, but basically everyone is getting charged the 18%, so just raise your prices so there is more transparency for what you are being charged since there was literally no single diners there when I was there. There was also a few price things on our bill that I wasn't thrilled about. Their menu has listed items that are additional for an upcharge. When I had ordered the Monroe, I had the option to add cheese to it, and they asked if I would like any cheese with it, so I said sure. The little bit of cheese was an extra $1.50, and I feel like being that they have other things that they clearly called out as an upcharge, they should have let me know it was an extra $1.50 for this. Also on the bill, they charged me for oat milk for my hot chocolate. I had to draw this to their attention that I hadn't ordered oat milk. they merely said, "well we mixed it in." That's not the point, it did taste a little off, and I specifically ordered a regular hot chocolate. While they took the 50 cents off, it did feel like they were just nickeling and diming me on some things. Overall, I had an okay experience. The pancakes were good, but the service was friendly. By the time we left, the place was completely packed and people were waiting outside so I think that speaks to how good the food is and maybe I just had a slightly less positive experience.

It is a busy place for big wedding events now, and so we like to stay during the week. It is very relaxing to walk around the grounds. We saw a giant heron in the pond and deer strolling. There are so many nice places to sit outside with a bottle of wine and a book or snacks. Rooms are very unique and comfortable. You have a lot of different personalities to choose from: lofts, cabins, barn spaces, etc. Many have jacuzzis which can provide your evening entertainment, lol. We have not eaten in the restaurant because our top restaurant on earth is very close by, but when it was closed, Josh gave us great recommendations. And he made a lovely tofu scramble for breakfast as a special request. One sweet touch: despite checking the room, we left without my spouse's expensive phone charger. Housekeeping found it and ran after us before we could drive off without it. She did not have to do that. Always tip your housekeeping staff. The inn itself is an architectural delight, as well, so you are surrounded by beauty on all sides. Service was pleasant and forthcoming. I wouldn't say that this is the finest level of dining, of course, you're not expecting EMP in the middle of Bucks County, but this is a good attempt, and people are pleasant and quite dignified. The guests were all well attired and the crowd is polite and kind. Food is of the adventurous character, which I enjoy. A lot of different flavor combinations (they like to do salé and sucré), beautiful plating, interesting textures, and good cooking techniques. My favorites were the octopus appetizer (so buttery soft and tender, which is a rarity) and the pheasant special, which was a pleasant and apropos surprise in this outdoor, country setting. Finally, this is a BYOB restaurant with perfectly selected wine glasses, fine silverware, and other special touches such as a freshly starched linens, etc. which elevate the dining experience.
