Turkey Sausage, Egg & Cheese on Plain Bagel
    Heather S.

I can always appreciate a good breakfast sandwich. Stopped in and got a turkey sausage, egg, and cheese on a plain bagel. My boyfriend got a pork roll, egg, and cheese on a sesame bagel. Overall, the sandwiches were very good. I always get a sausage sandwich so sampling the pork roll was a nice switch-up. I appreciate going to a place that they visibly make the sandwiches fresh; unlike some where they simply heat the pre-made sandwich in the microwave. The only thing lacking at this establishment is the customer service at the counter- individuals seem pretty grumpy, but I will give them the benefit of the doubt.

Great place! Went here with my girlfriend on a Saturday morning. They took our order quickly and the food did not take much longer to be ready. Both of our sandwiches were really good! We both weren't a fan of their home fries. Overall, I was pleased with my experience and would definitely come back again soon for a breakfast sandwich!

Bagel gourmet is a long standing eatery where the bagels seem more like quality Kaiser rolls with a hole in the middle that a traditional chewy bagel. This doesn't mean the bagels are not good. It just means babe really don't chew like a bagel. This morning I was hungry for a bagel. Convenience rule the day. Have a great deal on a steak egg and cheese bagel. So off I went to the bagel gourmet at Risley Square. It appears the help did not have their coffee this morning. Because neither of the ladies working at this eatery had even a hint of a smile on their faces. I was happy when I saw the Half dozen sesame bagels for $2.50. That's a great deal even for a good Kaiser roll with a hole in the middle. Bagel gourmet is convenient and offers a decent breakfast sandwich and a nice little restaurant. Just don't expect a smile from those serving you. And if you're looking for a chewy bagel head down the road.

Okay this place was actually so good. The food was yummy and not at all that expensive. It exceeded expectations for sure!

Service is bad. The lady work there is not good, doesn't know what is customer service. Small option for the bagels, everything went out.

Our waitstaff, Ben and Brittany, were phenomenal. They were attentive, accommodating, and went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. I have a special dietary restriction, and they were kind enough to prepare a separate plate for me instead of having me choose from the main buffet. We also arrived a little early to put up some small decorations, and Ben was incredibly helpful in getting everything set up. The views were beautiful, and the food was delicious. Inside, there appear to be separate rooms available for private parties as well as regular dining, which makes it a cozy and versatile place for celebrations and larger events. My entire family was very pleased with how everything turned out. Another bonus is the location--it's situated in a charming little town with shops within walking distance, making it a great place to explore before or after your meal. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely consider returning for another special occasion!

Served quickly and hot in a big, wide bowl. It looked good. Had small, irregularly sized potatoes and chopped carrots. The broth was a little thicker than I imagined or had tasted before in other restaurants, or in the one I make. Clams were tiny and, as you'd expect from a can. Not fresh clams. In fact, you can put all the clams found in chowder in a single tablespoon. Even found a whole bay leaf in it, which should have been removed before serving it. So, how is the chowder? I've had better from canned chowder, and the one I make is way better. Zero stars for the chowder. Next up is the Turkey platter with sliced turkey (hard and dry), 1 ice cream scoop of mashed potatoes (ok, nothing special), 1 ice cream scoop of stuffing (totally disgusting, and had corn in it), string beans (with vine still attached), gravy (terrible), and a little cup of cranberries (decent). Total fail. The waitress was ok, though stopping by every 5 minutes to ask if everything was good was quite annoying. The 'ice water gentleman' was great. You never asked for water, and when the glass was 1/2 empty, he was there refilling it. Great job! The final score of 2 stars is for the historic inn's ambiance and layout. We won't be back, and do not recommend.

We had no wait for a table around noon, although they were briskly busy on this holiday. Our server was relaxed and not bothered by the commotion, took his time and helped us through our choices. No brunch cocktails for us, we dug right in to meals. I chose the peach burrata caprese salad plate with a side of blackened chicken breast. Although the menu said the peaches would be grilled, they were cold. Perfectly ripe and firm, a great sweet contrast to the balsamic vinegar drizzle. Creamy burrata, basil, and sliced grape tomatoes rounded out the plate. This was a superb salad. The grilled chicken was a $6 add and came on a separate plate. Generous sized, the breast was well seasoned and tender. We took some home with spouse's plentiful potatoes from the skillet. Spouse went with the meat lovers skillet with scrambled eggs and wheat toast. The skillet had ham bacon sausage and cheddar cheese with a huge pile of potatoes and two scrambled eggs. It also included wheat toast. This was a lot of food! This is a bright, well lit, smartly decorated restaurant, where I would love to have spent time at happy hour. Good service, good food, not overpriced at all. Maybe another visit next time we're in New Jersey!
