I love this place. This is the best egg sandwiches and menu hands down in farmingdale for breakfast.

The only redeeming thing about this place is that they are open later than any other bagel shops by a couple hours. The main thing is ... these bagels are average. They taste and are the size of bagels you'd get at a Wegmans, or a supermarket. They don't have that very, very lightly crispness on the outside with a flurrier inside. These are dense and as you can see by my pictures, they don't get really thick like the better bagel stores. The price is also pretty crazy. 7 bagels and two containers of cream cheese was almost $40. That's just plain robbery, especially for an average, or below, bagel. I think the pre-packaged cream cheese was around ten bucks per 16 oz. and it tasted like store bought cream cheese with scallions mixed in. It didn't have that kind of sour punch that cream cheese from the city has. The staff was also really flat and seemed gruff. I am sure it was towards the end of their day ... but a little smile or even a 'thanks for your business' would have gone a long way. I def. won't be back here. Nothing beats a NYC bagel but there are places on Long Island that are almost as good. This is not. It's breakfast/lunch time. This bagel shop, on Main Street smells like fresh bagels when you walk in. It's clean and there are ample tables that turn over quickly for a seat. A large, large selection of food available that's posted on the walls. The staff is friendly. But here's the issue....if you come in and order what you'd like they pretty consistently charge you higher prices without taking into account the breakfast or lunch deals (i.e. a discounted side salad or drink). There are so many specials and options it's impossible to know if the price is correct and the few times I've come here I have overpaid a few dollars. Tell ya one thing - I will absolutely never be back. $8.15 ($7.50 plus tax) for two eggs with bacon on a roll? That's obscene. Especially seeing as the menu lists two eggs with bacon & cheese for $7.30 plus tax... so, I'm being charged more for a sandwich with no cheese? Make it make sense. The sandwich also had only two slices of bacon on the entire thing. For these prices? That's gross. I also asked three times while ordering not to cut my sandwich, and of course it was cut. We'll just call it plan B since it's what typically happens when the bagel cravings arrive but the line at Bagel Hut is out the door. Don't get me wrong, the food isn't awful, but it certainly isn't memorable either. And I'd probably go 3 stars if not for the gruff service and nazi like adherence to the $10 minimum for using a card. This establishment is by far the worst I've ever encountered. Living just 0.2 miles away, I've given them multiple chances due to the convenience, but almost every single time, something is wrong with the order. Usually, we end up dealing with missing items or simply not eating what they got wrong. When we've called to let them know, the response is always a casual "Sorry, would you like to come back and exchange it?" Today, after yet another incorrect order, I was told, "We think we gave you the right sandwich, but in the future, we can open it in front of you to check." The lack of accountability was astonishing. I realized I've been the sucker here, spending around $50 every time for my family of five, only to receive rude service and consistent mistakes. This place is run by half wits and people who don't care about customer service. If they make a mistake they blame you. The lady speaks heavy Spanish and is very slow and gets mad. This is why easy orders are always wrong. They ask you three times for a simple thing AND STILL MESS UP and give you an attitude. It is simply not worth it. When I go to LeChe,which is conveniently across the street from Stuff A Bagel, I always stop there for a snack. I love their chocolate croissant and their bagels. They are still practicing social distancing, they have plexiglass where you place & pickup orders and also their tables at each end have plexiglass and they are also adequately distanced from one another. It is on Main Street Farmingdale NY where there are so many great places to shop, eat or just window shop. I hear that they have great paninis! Next time, I will try a panini. read more

I was surprised to read some of the reviews about this shop. It's not close to my home, but I come here each time I photograph an event in the area and have have never been disappointed. While they have a beautiful array of food, I am usually doing a bagel with topping. O.K. So what do I look at to rate "Stuff A Bagel" I walk into a big bright restaurant and have always been greeted with a big smile and hello. Any line has always moved quickly and efficiently. I have always received what I've ordered... quickly. They have a HUGE selection of specialty sandwiches and a nice variety of hot dishes. Not just a bagel place here but a full service deli with very reasonable pricing. My bagels have always been fresh. What do I mean by that? If you've ever had a bagel that's been sitting around all day, you'll know what I mean. I like their coffee bar too. Simply, pay and then take care of whatever you want and there is plenty to choose from. There is plenty of seating and could easily handle the meat eater as well as the vegetarian. Bagel and sandwhich we had were fine - service good no complaints. However we wont go back- it was filthy! floors dont look like they are ever even swept . The corners and edges of floors black! I just came in for the first time because it was near where I dropped off my dog for grooming. It was a raining cold grey day and i just wanted a cup of coffee. The coffee seemed a bit watered down, but could have been that day. They definitely had unusual breakfast menu items for the holidays. The bagel shop was noticeably not as busy as you would expect on a Sunday morning. If you want to play egg sandwich roulette, try this place! I ordered 3 egg sandwiches on rolls, and every single one was wrong, even though I watched them write down and confirmed the order. They forgot to even make one. We got home and realized one was missing, one was covered in mayo, and one was drenched in ketchup even though I specified absolutely no ketchup. We went back, and the girl at the counter completely denied that the order was wrong. Another worker attempted to help us and remade one, but made us give the original bagels back. Ew? And then I assume he just gave her the same bagel because once again we returned home, and it was covered in ketchup. I called, and they argued that the order was correct , and made me text them a picture for proof because I simply asked to be refunded because I was not going back a third time. I was put on hold 3 times and had to explain myself over and over. Lets see if my order is refunded in the 3-4 business days they said it would take, or else I'll simply just report the charge to my bank. This place is constantly screwing up my order until I finally had my last straw today. I ordered a sandwich which comes with chicken, mozzarella and red peppers. I triple checked and there is NO TOMATO on the menu board at all. I ordered the sandwich with "no red peppers". The cashier put the order in correctly because my receipt read "no peppers". Woah. After 2-months of living in Farmingdale, we finally got around to trying Stuff A Bagel. What a Sunday morning hot spot! I chose to "build my own omelette sandwich" (an awesome deal really) and it was INSANE. I had a big, buttery, everything bagel with a spinach/broccoli/onion/jack/cheddar omelette. So yummy and greasy. It looks like any other bagel shop really, but the vibe is different. It's cozy and casual and bustling. Less like a deli and more like a happy diner.
