I picked up Sunday breakfast for my husband and me from Bagel Nosh and matcha drinks from Starbucks around the corner. This was my first time going to Bagel Nosh. It's always so busy whenever I drive past that I chicken out braving the private parking lot in the back and the ordering queue inside. But today, I learned that it's all worth it because, true to their reputation, they have very good bagels here! Plus, the people working there are nice! I give a 5 star just for my everything bagel with cream cheese, lox, capers, onion, and tomato. It had all the right proportions of spread and toppings for a very good lox bagel sandwich. My hubs bagel was a cinnamon raison with butter. Their bagels are fluffy and chewy, so I would opt to keep it untoasted (my preference). While there's Starbucks nearby in the same building, next time I'll try the coffee from Bagel Nosh. They also had an assortment of Tropicana orange and fruit juices. The coffee dispensers and drink cold case are to the right when you enter. New Visitor Note: When you enter, head to the right to place orders. A disrespectful "person-in-charge (not the owner)": Bagel Nosh, a go to place for us when going for starbucks. Owners have always been gracious to their customers, beyond just a smile. The process - order, wait, pay when your item is ready. Me - I make a quick trip next door to pick up my caffeine shot. I pay after placing an order, when there are less people. I come back, pick up my order, and return home for my meetings. Efficient and always accommodated by the owners / folks in charge with a smile. Today is not. The "person in charge" (tallest of them all) just blurted tersely "i dont have a ticket". As i was calmly explaining, she turned her back and did what she wanted to do, in my mid-sentence. Basically ignoring my request, without proper 'conversation'. It was not a text. it was a conversation. It was disrespectful and rude, especially when owner herself has always been gracious in accommodating the request. It will not be my intent to go back and be disrespected. read more

Came here for the first time since they opened about three years ago and ordered my usual - lox cream cheese on an everything bagel, toasted. The portion was super generous: a big, soft bagel with a thick layer of cream cheese that didn't skimp at all. That said, it didn't come out toasted like I requested, which was a bit disappointing, but not a dealbreaker since they were very busy. Everything else was solid! The service at this place is wonderful. Staff is nice. However, they have burnt my bagel every single time! Iv'e ordered 4 times by now, before writing this review and even after asking them to lightly toast it my bagel is burnt every-time! The seeds taste bitter, the bagel is extremely crispy making it really hard to eat. I've ordered regular bagel, as well as Flagel but the experience has been the same-Disappointing. I cannot recommend Bagel Nosh enough. We are regular customers but I wanted to share one particular experience from January 2026. My mother in law passed away and we used bagel nosh for our shiva. As always, the food was terrific and plentiful. Dee was able to provide a server to help and everything went well. But where Dee really shined was the next day. She arrived at our house to check on all of the platters, re-mold the cream cheese and butter, and make some cute characters out of fruit. That level of service to ensure a grieving family had one less thing to worry about is what endures Dee to our town. We cannot thank Dee and her team enough for their support. The sandwich was disappointing to me. I rarely complain about the cost of a meal, especially if it's very good. This is a fantastic place, starting with location, which is close to the corner of Mount Pleasant Avenue and S. Livingston Ave. in Livingston. Very easy to get in and out of the parking lot. I went in today and ordered a rainbow bagel with lox cream cheese spread. What I got was one of the best bagels I've ever had... Beautiful large bagel with the perfect amount of cream cheese/lox spread ratio. The bagels are very crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The bagel spread was great also. The woman that helped me at the counter was very helpful and pleasant. She did a great job putting my order together. I highly recommend Bagel Nosh as the best bagel store in the area. I come here all the time and enjoy the bagels and chicken salad. Today I was ignored by 3 employees and I was initially the only person waiting. When I was helped it was very unfriendly but others were asked politely if they needed help. I ordered about 18 bagels and the majority of my everything bagels were basically burnt. I asked for the softer ones because my Dad can't chew the tougher ones and I am driving to North Carolina today with them on a visit since he loves these bagels. The employee dumped them out clearly irritated but still put 4 burnt ones in the bag which I discovered at home. My first bad experience here and I am quite disappointed. We have been customers of Bagel Nosh for our usual weekly trip (both for us and family members in Monmouth County), as well as the occasional breakfast sandwich. Their bagels are what my grandmother would call "pluchy" -- soft on the inside, crunchy outside, large and they take a schmear of butter or cream cheese that would make the old Carnegie Deli proud. We needed quite a few platters for a shiva two months ago, and Dee and her crew came through beautifully -- an amazing assortment of fish, spreads and bagels, nicely arranged, and kept us fed for a few days. read more

I don't like writing reviews like these but it's important to inform others of what they may encounter. I came in yesterday for two Taylor ham egg & cheese sandwiches. If you'll see on the menu here, the total price would be $7.49. I was charged $18.64 at the register and when I checked my bank statement, that price rose to $19.39. When you do the math, ~.50c of tax on each sandwich doesn't add up to the almost $5.00 extra I was charged. Putting price aside, these bagels are okay. Nothing to write home about, and certainly not worth $20 for two breakfast sandwiches. read more

Masters of all things sandwich. Bagel Nosh, as the name suggests, specializes in bagels, and things to spread on them. From assortments of cream cheese to tuna and egg salads, they'll make you delicious sandwiches made from freshly baked bagels and then smothered with delicious toppings. I cannot stress the quality of the bagels. At no time during my first visit over a Sunday brunch was there a period where I didn't see bakers toiling away in the kitchen. New bagels were being brought out every few minutes, replacing a quickly dwindling supply. The bagels come in every flavor imaginable, with their asiago bagel being one of the best I ever had, with a massive amount of perfectly crispy cheese baked right into the tops of the bagels. They even have "flat" bagels, which are shorter but wider bagels, giving you more surface to add your toppings. Bagel Nosh makes bagels with cream cheese, bagel breakfast sandwiches, and other bagel sandwiches. They also have wraps, burritos, and traditional sandwiches, with everything they serve on a bagel also coming with other bread choices. Though if you are a true bagel fanatic, you get the bagel every time. I enjoyed their bagel with lox sandwich, the most expensive thing on the menu. My bagel was STACKED with lox and the green onion cream cheese paired perfectly with it. I had my bagel topped with refreshing tomatoes and bitter red onions, and if I had any complaint, it's the lack of capers as an optional topping. Capers add a bit of sour bite that helps bring out the best in the lox. If I had to nitpick, I'd point out two things. First, Bagel Nosh has mediocre coffee, but this is most likely due to being located next to a Starbucks. They don't mind people bringing in their coffee from next door, so I recommend you do the same if you want coffee with your bagel. Second, there is very limited seating, with most of it being outdoors. If it's raining, don't plan on eating at Bagel Nosh, and if it isn't, bring someone to hold a table as soon as it opens up. Well priced, good service, and delicious food makes Bagel Nosh my new favorite brunch stop in Livingston. read more

I am so glad to see a great bagel shop on the north side of Livingston. I went on Saturday at around 11:45am. I am grateful that I could find parking. When I went inside the store, the line was really long. I waited around 30 minutes to receive my order and left. People were patient while waiting. The owner (lady) was really nice. I could tell she was really tired, and with so many things sold out, it was difficult to please all customers. The bagel sandwiches were very good. The muffins and croissants were very good too. Love: they seem to make bagels constantly during peak times and will let you know which ones are hot/warm. Those are the best! Also, bagels are huge. Dislike: prices don't match the menu, there should be transparency like prices listed on drink case, items not on menu etc because it's crazy and seems different every time.
