Back I am at Bagel Snack. This time I decided to try something new. I ordered homemade corn beef hash, home fries with onions, two eggs, and a twice toasted bagel. All of this for $8.99! The eggs were done perfectly, the bagel - toasted twice - was delicious - and the corn beef hash was superb! It certainly isn't like the corn beef hash you get in a can! It seems as if my previous comment worked! I was smiled at and talked to by Michael! Lee was her usual efficient, smiling, adorable self and Steve came out from behind the counter to give me a hug. I met the cook who made my hash and thanked him for making it crisp - just as I requested. After paying, I turned to say goodbye to everyone and noticed the sign noting the soup of the day - split pea! Am at this place about twice a week and it hits all the marks. Food is well-prepared and fresh. If you order a hot meal, it is delivered hot. Soups (which change daily) are great. Rueben's, Rachel's, meat loaf, Knockwurst are all top drawer. One of the best items on the menu is the whitefish salad. Service is quick and reliable. Most of the time you don't have to wait for a table, but if you do see a line, stay there, as it moves quickly. The place isn't much on looks, but it has a great vibe. When you return (and you will!), you'll see many of the same customers. After awhile, people start nodding, saying hello and starting conversation. A wonderful neighborhood haunt. Prices are reasonable. Some of the items are slightly higher in price than you'd find elsewhere, but the quality and quantity are definitely there. If you're not into a typical deli-sized sandwich, you can order soup and 1/2 sandwich for lunch at a very reasonable price. Don't miss taking home some bagels. First time at bagel snack was good. Decided to go back and order take out. Today I got an everything bagel toasted with cream cheese and nova and another with egg and cheese. When I got home and opened up my meal, both bagels were HARD AS ROCKS. So stale it was hard to chew. I contemplated going back because I spent $17 on two bagels but didn't even want to waste my time going back. I guess they give take out customers the old stuff. Never going back again. Best tuna salad you'll find anywhere. Reminds me of traditional New York deli style. Excellent whitefish. Good bagels. Good soups. Soups change daily but feature some that are excellent that you don't see much...like turkey vegetable, beef stew soup. Fresh salads, nicely presented. Nice place for a takeout from the deli counter...and it's also decent to eat breakfast/lunch there, though in season the lines can get long for a table and you'll be surrounded by folks from nearby Palm-Aire. Friendly management and wait staff. Also does a nice job catering..these folks did a great job catering my son's bar mitzvah brunch. read more

The man behind the deli counter who I assume is the owner was very welcoming and even recommended some dinner spots, since I mentioned I was looking. My bacon egg and cheese was huge and delicious!! Wonderful deli for breakfast or lunch. Delicious pastrami on fresh rye bread along with homemade soups to eat there or buy a quart to take home. Bagels are definitely the best in the area and usually get them hot out of the oven. Very friendly staff from the hostesses, waitresses to the bus boy (men). Been coming here for 30 years. Lunch is great although getting a little expensive. My wife and I use to come for breakfast 2-3x a week. But no more. The coffee is and has always been horrendous... completely ruining the rest of the meal. Place hasn't had makeover in all 30 years. Just a little old and musty atmosphere. Could be great again if owners spent a little money or move close by. And modernize. read more

dont ever order here! i am from out of town and i placed an order with this company on post mates. before my order i called to check of certain items was available and the male manager was very rude, condescending, and disrespectful! after i informed him of that he apologized so i proceeded with the order. once my order arrived it was completely incorrect. i was not given any condiments (who eats a bagel with no cream cheese or eggs with no fork?!) i called back and talked to a very nice lady who got confirmation from the deli that they messed up. she said the male manager would call me once hes back. he immediately called back with an attitude as if i was in the wrong! telling me to complain to postmates instead of listening to what happen yelled at me over talked me and was utterly disrespectful! i believe he is a racist!! this is the worst experience i have ever received! read more

Went to have a nice Sunday brunch today 11/18/2018 and was given the worst service. I understand it was busy and all. When I placed my order I was questioned by the waiter as to how much my order will be. I never ever in my entire was told that. I sat there for over 25 minutes people came and went ordered after me and received their orders however I never got mine. I said to the hostess this is crazy the man who just sat down 5 minutes ago got his order and I have been waiting a long time. I said I am leaving so cancel my order I lost my appetite. Then proceeded to the lobby asked the hostess to see the owner she told me to leave the restaurant. I was so I INSULTED!!!!! I went home and called the owner and was put on hold for 26 minutes I hung and called back. Finally spoke to owner who apologized and offered to make good with free lunch and made all kinds of excuses for the rude treatment I received. Last Sunday my family went over to the bagel snack for a bite, and I ordered the Rachel (pastrami Ruben), with fries, and everyone at the table said they were the best fries they ever tasted (I didn't actually get to eat that mane since my niece really liked them!). And it was the best Rachel I ever got, with really tender moist pastrami. I've eaten there many times in the past for their breakfast specials before 11 am, which are always good, but this sandwich was very 5* so I just had to write a nice review. read more

We were going to be in the area so I went onto the Yelp site looking for delis. This one was a winner. A little dated but very crowded and the fish platters were wonderful. Seated right away ..hostess very pleasant as well as server who was very helpful in our choice. There is a full service deli with a line so it must be pretty good..Bagels are delish but found them to be pricey for a dozen..$10.49..Would definitely go there next time I am in the area! read more

Went for breakfast Sunday morning and it was very busy expected that, but it still was very disappointing. Sat and talk with my friend for about 10 minutes then the coffee Come not Hot OK drank my coffee & waited about another five minutes my friend asked for some cream the only one that came by was the bus boy we flagged him down he brought the cream. Ok Another 5 to 8 minutes go by the other waiter asked us if we wanted a coffee warmed up we did . Another 10 minutes go by people all around us are getting their food we're not... so I got up told the hostess we were leaving she insisted she get to check in the kitchen oh yeah it's not the waitresses The kitchen has the order, now she didn't tell us it was ready she just said they had the order, hummm.... She Said 0 the kitchen is backed up. Anyway service stunk they made me feel like it was my fault. Nobody came out and told us the kitchen was backed or they had to go milk the cows... I've been going there for many many years now it's going downhill... FYI, there prices going up & they no longer put pickles and coleslaw on the table and the daily special board you see in the picture "is gone." I'm very sad today.... read more
