Nice to support independent bagel shops that make sandwiches fresh to order with real eggs. By 9 am on Saturdays the line is out the door. Yay on bagels. Nay on coffee.

    Yuk

The bagels are like bread rolls and nothing like real bagels. If you compare them to REAL bagels, it's day and night.

New location of Bagelicious. Bagels and sandwiches, kinda says it all. Plenty of seats in an updated space. Friendly staff. Almost everything you need... except bagels. Got there at 11:30 on a Saturday and they were nearly out of everything including coffee. Maybe that's because they sold out because they are so good? Turkey Club was not bad. Definitely need to get here earlier next time.

Here is the "cream cheese" on my bagel.

Not sure who runs this place besides anyone under the age of 18, but all i saw were children eating and playing on their phones walking at the pace of a sloth. One was smacking gum, the other texting, another talking on her phone. I waited 24 min for a TOASTED BAGEL. This place could be a goldmine if it was run properly. Sad what the younger generation has become, and the fact that there is no management in this place is clearly obvious.

This is our local go to for bagels, they are always fresh and so soft and light unlike the rock hard ones at Dunkin. Went in today for a quick bite so the cafe wasn't open and it was only a drive thru option, so I waited. It was definitely about 5-7 minute wait which isn't terrible unless your in a hurry of course. My bagel was Asiago bagel with avocado delight and veggie cream cheese. We'll looks like the avocado barely made it on there, disappointing since I'm a total avocado fan. The cream cheese is always the best and I should have skipped the hot house tomato's. I love coming here but it's really hit or miss unfortunately. You should definitely try it and make your own judgement.

"Day Old Bagels!" that the line watched be bagged up and then told they were out of when it came their turn to order.

Let me preface this with these bagels are perfect for making sandwiches with. They are soft and delicious. HOWEVER. The terrible attitudes and practices of the employees at this location will be it's ultimate demise. We have come here four weekends in a row for breakfast sandwiches just to see if they possibly were having staffing issues or some other mass catastrophe to explain what goes on here. Clearly no, it's just the attitudes of the employees that are ruining your business. Lets start with hours of operation. Website and Google say they're open until 2pm. Professional signage says open until 2pm. Hand written sign on the door every weekend says open until 1pm. This morning we were in line at 11am and saw an employee literally rewrite the sign to say closing at 12. It's not because they were understaffed. They weren't out of bagels. The employees just decide to close whenever they want, apparently. Next we'll move on to how some days no one wants to work the drive thru, so they post a hand written sign saying the drive thru is closed which causes a massive line inside that spills into the parking lot. The problem here is that cars pulling in don't know the drive thru is closed and the line extends into the drive thru lane. It's only a matter of time before someone gets hit by a car. Last weekend my husband went inside to order because "Drive Thru Closed!" and it was almost two hours before their chosen closing time of 1pm. An employee was bagging up bagels to sell as "Day Old" in view of a massive line and the employee working the register was telling customers in line that they were out of bagels that were literally just bagged up in front of them. How is any of this a sustainable business model?? The final straw this morning was when an employee wearing incredibly short shorts (the shorts were consumed by her backside) decided to SIT ON THE COUNTER with all of her business sitting directly onto the surface. She then proceeds to complain to anyone in earshot including a line of customers ten deep that she "doesn't understand how customers don't get that they are out of poppyseed." Maybe because people have eyes and there are at least a half dozen behind you, ma'am? This will be our last visit to E Coli R Us.

These are not bagels they are hard rolls. The girls at the counter are lost. Been here a couple times always the same story.

Good amount of cream cheese, warm. The bagels were on the fluffy side not like usual New York chewy bagels. The price is pretty good too

I finally had the absolute pleasure of visiting Crossroads recently. What an outstanding place…read more Super awesome, cool and friendly owner/staff. Inviting comfy space. So far, I have only tried the one latte, the jasmine peach latte, which had peach puree, house made jasmine syrup, house made white tea cold foam and dried peaches. It was probably the best latte I have ever had. While their specialty drinks are only available small & medium, their sizes are 16 oz, 20 oz, 24 oz, so the small is actually the equivalent of some shops' large. I have only heard good things about their baked goods/pastries and they both looked and sounded amazing. I can't wait to try one hopefully very soon! Overall it was as close to a perfect experience as you get. Must try for sure. Immediate top spot for me.

Recently obsessed with this local coffee joint. Been spending the week in North Haven checking out…read moresome spots. Super cozy place, eco friendly with some of the best coffee/matcha. Friendly service at the counter, few tables inside to lounge at. My wife and I frequent the Last Drop in Monroe and this is ultra comparable. Very good pricing and kudos to them for using and making homemade syrups! I am a matcha guy so I get an iced matcha latte with vanilla cream cold brew. My wife has had the special Cherry Cold Brew which sells out quick and some lattes with cinnamon brown sugar, fantastic. I vow to get there early enough one of these days to try their blueberry muffins, always sells out quick. They have a host of other pastries as well, you are missing out if you don't try this place.

Most of their baked goods were sold out, which totally made sense because it was nearly closing time and the items that remained looked delicious. So we were sure that whatever had been sold before was more of the same. I ordered a hot latte and the kiddo ordered a raspberry tea. We also decided to order toasted sandwiches (grilled vegetables for me and grilled cheese for her) to enjoy in the shop. Enjoy we did! The latte was served with a foam smiley face. The espresso was strong and delicious and tempered nicely by the milk. Her tea was piping hot and fruity. The sandwiches were toasted but not blazing hot, for which we were thankful because we were very hungry. They also weren't greasy - an issue I have with other toasted sandwiches. As a side note - why do sandwich shops slather sandwiches in oil or butter when a simple iron sandwich press and a hot grill will suffice? Anyway, our sandwiches were great! They were filling but didn't leave us feeling lethargic (please refer back to the not greasy comment.) We were so happy to have a good meal and a seat after a long tour around the Quinnipiac campus. Bussing one's table is expected and the staff kept the tables spic and span in between patrons. Speaking of the staff, the young man who took our order and was servicing the dining area was kind and patient as we ordered. We made sure to leave fifteen minutes before closing because we didn't want to be THOSE people, namely the couple in the corner who'd setup their computer shop and looked to have no intention of leaving without a fight. We will definitely return to Bread & Chocolate if we find ourselves in the area again.

This place was extremely disappointing…read more I've had their bread at local restaurants and always thought it was excellent, which is what motivated me to visit in person. Over the past few months, I tried stopping by three separate times, twice they were already closed, and once they had completely sold out of bread. I finally made it there on a Sunday morning, and they had only one loaf left, and not a type I wanted. We decided to order two egg and cheese sandwiches (one with turkey bacon). Both were terrible. The rolls were soft, soggy, wet, and flavorless. Each sandwich had a single egg placed off-center, so half the roll barely had any egg at all. The turkey bacon was so bad we removed it and threw it out. Normally, I would have just moved on and not returned. But what really pushed me to write this review (which I never write) was the carrot cake we purchased. We took it home, refrigerated it, and tried it later that evening. It was, without question, the worst piece of carrot cake I've ever had. The frosting was hard, dry, stale, and completely lacking flavor, no sweetness at all. The cake itself was equally bad: dry, crumbly, and utterly tasteless. There was no hint of carrot, cinnamon, nutmeg, or any spice, just bland, dry crumbs. The cake was completely lacking sugar. After two bites, we threw it in the garbage. I don't say this lightly. I've been cooking and baking for decades, hold a degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, and spent over 20 years in the industry. I've traveled extensively and eaten outstanding food around the world. For me, someone who genuinely loves desserts, to throw cake away (which is rare) says everything. I understand it was a Sunday and that fresh baking may not be happening that day, but it's simply not acceptable to sell baked goods from prior days that are clearly stale. Even more concerning than the staleness however, was the complete lack of flavor in the product. The sandwiches were disappointing, but that cake was on another level. I won't be returning for sandwiches or desserts, but perhaps the bread.
