This place is typically great however last couple orders have been wrong or missing something. I've gotten meat in burritos (we are vegetarians) or an item will be omitted completely. Very disappointing that going forward we have to check our order before we leave the premises. Nothing worst than getting good you paid for and nobody can't eat. A bagel or roll w/ egg & cheese or an egg and cheese burrito ... shouldn't be that difficult to pull together. read more

I made an order for 10 side of crispy bacon and some cheese from the mill plain rd bagleman ,as I have in the past,and when I got I home it home the cheese was all molted from the warmth of the bacon box ,.and they crammed all that bacon into a small box so all the bottom pieces (at least 9 or 30 slices) were like bits..i use it to make sandwhiches,for the less fortunate and when I called the owner too talk to him about it ,he sad he would replace the cheese but not the 9 slices of bacon (which would have cost $3.75he was confrontational ,rude and when i said that I've used the other bagleman a lot and never had that problem at his or the other he said"go use them then"and then hung up on me ...I thought he was rude and not a very good business man for acting this was......they have definately lost my business read more

Great Service. When they are busy they are still very nice and pleasant towards every customer. I usually order a bacon egg and cheese sandwich and the portion size is outstanding I pay about 4-5$ for breakfast sandwich and coffee. No place better than bagel man read more

I really want to like this place. It's convenient, clean, reasonably priced and the service is great. I have to come to Danbury a lot for business and was looking for a good place for a quick breakfast. The bagels and pastries, however, are not the greatest. The first time I got a sesame bagel with lox. The bagel tasted stale. Not at all chewy like a good New York bagel should taste. The second time I got a muffin.... Also tasted stale and dry. For my third try I got a plain bagel with lox spread. The bagel was fresh and chewy this time but still nothing to write home about. The lox spread looked like pink cotton candy. I assume the salmon was puréed? I was disappointed at best. The coffee is good but in typical New York fashion they add the cream and sugar behind the counter. There aren't many other options so I'll probably be back but hoping they improve the quality! read more

Good bagels, made fresh and on-site. They'll build nearly any kind of sandwich you want on a bagel, too! Coffee is kind of gross, though.

Bagels are the best. However, the people are rude, don't speak English and usually screw up the order. (Mill plain location) they are so skimpy with condiments. I wish I could give 4 stars for the food and 1 for the service. Really good bagels, and my bar is pretty high when it comes to those, I compare them to NY quality. That being said I hardly go there anymore because they are incredibly rude and borderline incompetent. As a frequent patron I have experienced this in rushes and lulls alike. Young guy with the glasses that helped us (I use that terminology loosely) was extremely rude. He took our money and then watched me stand at the counter waiting for my food while our incomplete order sat on the counter. We'll never be back. I recommend you skip this one. Ice coffee is a little watery, really doesn't pack the kick I need in my morning coffee. I'm a Starbucks girl for life. But the bagels are great. Ordered a egg white, bacon and cheese bagel. Bagelman is the epitome of a lousy bagel establishment located in CT, where we definitely do not have quality bagels. I have witnessed terrible things in their bagels, especially the glob of hair that you would find on the bottom of a shower, pleasantly mixed in the cream cheese. Upon speaking with management, they brushed it off and acted as if it never happened. My recommendation is if you are craving a bagel and (Need) to go to bagelman, It is essential you check your food as you may find a tasty surprise and I am not referring to the cream cheese. Management needs to wake up and monitor their staff before multiple complaints results in the health department getting involved. Do yourself a favor and ship in bagels from Manhattan if you are feeling it. Bagelman is sub-par & the storefront itself is dirty and lame. read more

Save the time and trouble of going to this store.The service is slow and the bagels are very ordinary on good days. If you are used to a tasty New York Style bagel drive to Brewster where two very good bagel stores are open . Both stores have a much better bagel and courteous staff that acts like their happy to see you. Many of the counter help at Bagelman needs basic customer training like learning to say good morning or thank you. read more

OMG...love their bagelss. Their bagels are so soft, fresh, and mouthwatering. They always use real butter when u ask for a buttered bagel...unlike some of these other places that use all these margarines and man-made butter crap that has partially hydrogenated soybean oil in it and is even unhealthier than the real stuff. the coffee is so-so, not the best, it's too sweet and has a weird aftertaste to it. their breakfast sandwhiches though...out of this world! read more

I loved Bagelman, but I do not know what happened here. The service has taken a very serious nose dive. Within the past week I have gone twice and my orders have been wrong (only to find out after I leave and waiting 15 minutes). This morning a few of us at my office decided to call an order in and pick it up. Not realizing their backwards call in policy, I went right up to the side counter and told the lady I was there for pick up. She looked at me and said I am only putting the orders together I do not help customers. I then asked her where do I pick up the order. She then got a nasty attitude and told me to go to the back of the line and when I get up to the counter I can ask for it. WHAT IS THE POINT OF CALLING AHEAD?? I will say once I got back up to the counter (after waiting about 8-10 minutes) the lady that did help me was very nice. Once I got back to my office, I opened up my sandwich to realize it was wrong (so shame on you nasty lady who "only puts orders together"). The only thing they get right here is the bagels. I don't think there is anywhere else in Danbury that makes bagels like them (although if there is one AND they have great customer service i would LOVE to know).
