It takes a minute to place your order - but the food was served with a smile and was hot. 3/5. AESTHETIC It does the best it can with the space. There is a conference area, and many businesses appear to make this an impromptu/ ad hoc meeting place. The service crew is on the job, clearing away empty trays and trash at the right time without being obtrusive. 4/5 OVERALL A bit of a drive to get to, and tough parking. On the road traveling from Alexandria VA to Vermont, I found this establishment on Yelp. I called to place my order and was put on hold for so long that I hung up and called back. No answer. Attempted to place an order online but avocado toast dropdown protein menu options did not include egg. Having exhausted all time-saving options, I ordered in person, opting for a standard menu item to move things along and get back on the road - veggie sandwich on an everything bagel. Pre-tipped $1. The place seemed adequately staffed and friendly, and I didn't have to wait too long for the sandwich. When I was back on the highway and opened the sandwich, it was the wrong order. Sigh. read more

My husband and I both got the Brooklyn with capers on the jalapeño cheddar bagel which is basically known as a nova lox in other shops. Although it was good, I didn't think it was anything special and couldn't tell much difference in bagels (maybe texture is slightly different). Discovered this place cause i was trying to fins places that partnered with one of my credit cards for points. Had the eggstremely meaty breakfast sandwich and the lox bagel. The bagels are very good and sandwiches are ok. Nothing special. Also tried the California chicken with avocado, which was solid. When you first walk it it does give off a coffee shop vibe kinda lkke starbucks. There is lace to sit and chill or you can take the food on the go. The service was here was good the person at the register was very knowledgeable. The OJ is not Freshly squeezed but still solid juice. Ive also had the chai which was very solid as well. I ordered on Uber eats and liked the hash browns but I ordered the Leo which in the description says "lox, egg and onion"... this is not what I think anyone would expect when they order LOX. I've made gravlax from scratch before and eaten it at many restaurants and no one who orders a lox sandwich would ever want it cooked in an egg. It smells horrible. The cinnamon raisin bagel was ginormous and the cream cheese was smooth and melted and creamy. I should've tried one of their omelet bagels . The employee was patient with us as we ordered and our food came out quickly and with a smile. The cute self-tour of how a bagel was made was cute. We stopped here this morning and ordered an Eggstremely Meaty and Garden State, both were delicious. I loved their sign above the menu about NY bagels (and I gotta say, pretty accurate -- a little crunch with a chewy center!). The staff was friendly and helpful (we didn't know what we wanted when we got to the front of the line but they were still patient with us) and the indoor/outdoor seating was ample to find a spot with some privacy or mix it up with the locals. Grabbed a quick breakfast from here last week and was pleasantly surprised. I got the si dried tomatoes bagel with veggie cream and cheese and I finished the entire thing (which is unusual for me). It just was so delicious I could not stop eating it. My husband got the meaty bagel sandwich on the jalapeño bagel and loved it. Would definitely recommend. The hotel gave us breakfast vouchers for the bagel shop located a few steps away. The sign upon entering says it is a New York bagel shop. Let me start by saying that I have been to New York and had many a bagels and these weren't it, but they were pretty good. Plexiglass was up at each register which was pretty safe however the coffee was out for people to make and touch on their own. I did not like that. Although there was sanitizer everyone, I didn't see anyone actually use it before making their coffee. The bagels were pretty good. We had breakfast there both days and each time my bagel was nice and fresh. They had a good variety to choose from. When your food is ready, someone comes out to you and brings you your food and tells you to have a nice day. In a world where people are mean, I enjoyed the handoff. I took it as a challenge and did in fact have two nice days. If you're looking for a quick bite, I definitely recommend bagels and grind. I was heading to the Arundel mills mall and needed coffee on a rainy, November afternoon. I couldn't find the place and then when I finally found the parking lot there was no parking for about 5 minutes. I walked in and had to stand in line. I don't think they offer anything as far as ordering ahead. As you stand in line you can see the production facility with giant mixers and staff working. I instantly knew I wanted to try the pumpkin donut and some coffee. The donut was sugary. I didn't expect it to be so sweet and as I waited for my food and coffee they just left the bagel sitting out and we had to inquire about the completion of the bagel. The coffee I chose was Jamaican blend which they actually have on tap. I enjoyed the coffee and watched as people came and went. They have indoor seating and it is a bit cozy. read more

I tend to refer to these Apartment/Hotel complexes that look like a misplaced block of a major city as "space ships" - it's a symptom of Maryland's complete lack of city planning or vision for the future, but they do tend to cultivate little gems like Bagel's and Grind. This is a sleek and modern place, but still has a comfy vibe to it. The seating is spacious, the somewhat confusing entrance (there are like 10 doors, but only one you should use, and it's not the obvious one) leads you past a window where you can see the bagels being made fresh and up to the counter. The prices are a bit high for sandwiches but pretty reasonable for bagels. I got two bagels and two bagel sandwiches. The breakfast sandwich was okay, the veggie sandwich my wife got she raved about. The bagel itself was slightly on the bready side of bagels - but it still had a slightly chewing outside and soft puffy inside that a good bagel required. If you're looking for small NY style ones, head north a bit - I can recommend a place that does that - Bagels and Grind has ideal sandwhich bagels. They are wide, fairly easy to chomp into, and a great fresh taste - even the next day. I will almost definitely be coming back here when I do early morning drop offs or pick ups from the airport. I might even go out of my way to stop here if I'm passing even remotely nearby. However, the price keeps this from being a destination for me - since its reasonable, but not a great deal. Still -it's a nice addition to this cool little spaceship community - I wish them the best of luck. read more

Mixed with the salty bacon, it was a bit much. The bagel itself was fresh and great so it wasn't a deal breaker The ugly. The bagels aren't exactly NY bagels, but they are nice and soft and have a good portion of cream cheese; not a real NY schmear, but good enough. The bialy was a real winner though. ***UPDATE*** 01-13-18 (oops, I thought I already did this!) My daughter ordered a sandwich called "The Queens", which was Roast Beef, Peppers, Onions, Provolone, Dijon Horseradish Aioli and Dijon Mustard. I would totally love this without horseradish, ew! But I actually took a bite before she remembered how much I dislike the stuff, and it wasn't overpowering. The sandwich was really a great balances of flavors. I was less impressed with my coffee. I just had a small cup, and it's self-serve, and the trouble is the air pots were nearly empty. Which meant the coffee itself was just warm and when I added half & half (word: have real cream available!) it took the temp down to lukewarm. I'm leaving my rating at 4 stars, though, based on all the choices, good prices, great service, and knowing that the coffee situation was probably a one-off. ***END UPDATE*** Ran in for a quick bite, so this is a somewhat limited review. Planning to go back for a more leisurely visit! The bagel making must take place in the mornings, because that whole area was shut down. There is an extensive bagel menu that you could get as "just" a bagel with toppings. There is also quite a sandwich menu, and all made on bagels, with cold and hot choices.
